There was, as Fiach surmised, only so much you could convey with rudimentary sign language. Whatever they were trying to tell each other about opening an entrance to an underground temple was – not unexpectedly – beyond them.
Izel was trying to convey something and Fiach followed her. When they found the symbol, Fiach was sure they were on the same wavelength. But when nothing happened, Fiach presumed she had misunderstood her fellow Padawan’s communication.
Izel did her best to convey a new message, but to Fiach, what she understood was no different to the last one. She opened her mouth and if an audible sigh was supposed to have been emitted, the desert swallowed up the sound.
Which was when Izel produced a datajournal. Simple and yet it’s use had eluded both of them until now. Fiach rolled her eyes and then read. She nodded at the words.
If the symbol activated on your spire, it must be the first. We should check to see if it is still illuminated. If so, we can try another. If not, reactivate it…and try another.
