"Move along...move along..." The plastoid hand waved the crowd through customs, funneling them through the two main gates which lead into the city proper. Rago, a rather obscure dustbowl located on the fringes of civilized space. It was an imperial planet, held strong by a garrison of Imperial troops and infrastructure. The various flags that adorned the various buildings and scaffolding left nothing to imagination -- this planet was controlled by an iron fist. Though it hadn't always been the case, rumors among the Holonet hinted that the planet had fallen in a day to the might of Sith aggression, no measly militia would ever be able to stand up to technology -- or so the galaxy assumed, but Dantooine proved that to not be the case.

Lars hummed to himself as he stepped out into the dust, his hands resting in his thick leather spacer jacket, which hung over a simple pair of civilian coveralls and a set of boots. He carried a pack of construction grade tools, and a hard-hat, and per Imperial law he did not carry any weapons on his person. He was here on what would be a boring repair job, but that didn't mean he couldn't have a bit of fun along the way. His eyes shifted down towards his watch as he looked towards his holo-watch and groaned. "Only an hour to kill, might as well keep walking." The simple man would begin to shuffle down the streets, bopping his head to the Imperial troops and various citizens as he wandered off in the direction of his construction job.

Aya ran through a small crowd, pushing and shoving people, her fear trampling her politeness.
She thought of yelling sorry behind her back as she'd run away, but sorry couldn't happen at the moment, she ran 'round a group of children playing, jumping onto a waiting speeder.
"Wha-" Her brother, Jan asked.
"Don't ask questions!" She cut him off "Just go!!"
Jan shrugged and obeyed, driving away, she leaned back in the chair, sighing and looking at the small, leather bag and smiling proudly.
She knew she shouldn't have done it, but it felt so good.
She opened it and...
Sand?!
All that for nothing?
She threw the bag into the wind and sighed, leaning back again.

Lars trotted along the dusty roads, doing his best to avoid the landspeeders which drove through the crowds, along with the various patrols that pushed amongst the civilians of the planet. Everything about the location screamed occupation, from the holo-images of the Empress, to the Imperial decrees which were echoed out across the city, though the most annoying aspect of living under Imperial rule had to be the constant identification checks and patrol stations. Every citizen needed to have a fob ready, along with their permits. If you failed to provide the correct information, you could guarantee yourself a trip to an Imperial camp.

The Mechanic had passed through two of these checks while on his way to his job site, each time he simply showed off his proper credentials and continued on like it was nothing. Rago had become rigid under the constant rule of law, but there was always subtle signs of life -- you just had to know where to look. Children skipped along the sandy blocks, jumping about and circling around Imperial troops while laughing. It was harmless fun, but it brought a smile to the lad's face. Kids are gonna be kids..

He would simply continue on his way, only paying a brief moment of attention to the group of youth before blending back into the crowd, and taking a left which lead towards the industrial sector. His hardhat hung in his left hand, his toolbox in his right. Something about today just felt right, he could feel it in the air.
