Fang opened his eyes as the simulation powered down. they had driven off the sith in that simulation, barely. It had been a hard fought and hard won battle, but something told him that the real battle would be much, much worse. Fang sighed as he sat up and looked around the chamber seeing that the other Jedi in this two person simulation chamber had not quite woken up from the simulation yet, the padawan had also fought well, Fang thought to himself.

Fang turned and stood up, getting off of the simulation bed, he walked over to the wall and grabbed his cloak, putting it on, he walked to teh door, he turned around for a moment to look at the padawan, who just seemed to be stirring now, before turning forward again and exitting the room. Fang continued down the halls until he reached teh exit door of the building, the door slid open before him, revealing the downpour of rain outside, Fang placed his hood over his head, and stepped out into the rainy day of Coruscant.

Lutomi raised herself and caught the visual of the hem of the Knight's cloak as he stepped through the door. Every muscle ached as she rose from e simulation pod. It may have been a simulated battle, but her body tensed with her mental movements throughout it. Thankfully the pods for the Force sensitives were set apart from the others, so no one would be found near who could be harmed by whatever the Jedi might truly bring to manifest.

Quickly she gathered herself and her things and made her way to the exit. Lutomi didn't mind not being dress for the downpour so much. She loves the rain. She raced to catch up to the Knight just outside of the building. "All that and you're just going to leave me without so much as a briefing?" Lutomi raised her voice so that she could be heard over the sound of the pelting. It had been hours, grueling to just touch upon the reality of it. She searched him for some clue as to her performance as he walked. But the rain made it a bit difficult to judge him.

"I have a question for you," she declared. The thunderclap broke just then, and she also wondered if the Knight happened to be heading anywhere in particular.

Fang stopped for a moment as he heard the padawans voice, "All that and you're just going to leave me without so much as a briefing?" she said over teh patter of the rain, "Before looking to others for approval, look to yourself" Fang said over the rain in reply before he started moving again. Walking down the street, he had little cover from the rain, and despite the fact that his cloak was weather resistant, it was already beginning to soak through. He heard the padawan Lutomi following him for a bit before she stopped and spoke again.

"I Have a question for you!" she declared, as she did Fang turned around and there was a thunderclap, the flash of lightning illuminating his face under the hood for a moment, his calm face with its crescent scar on his right cheek could clearly be seen for that moment.

Ask away. Said Fang in response calmly. now he was curious to know, what her question was.

"I am not seeking you out for your approval, Knight. No one will advance beyond their own limitations without the guidance of those around them. And I'm here today for that very reason." All the best training and not a move made to push the rain away..

She was happy that he would hear her out regardless of his apparent opposition to the circumstances nature presented. "The soldier... He knew the Sith Lord was on its way in the simulation. He commanded that it be left alone. A Sith Lord is a Sith Lord afterall. Why do you think he hadn't wanted to engage it before it had a chance to cause all that trouble? "

Fang stood there and pondered the question for a moment, another flash of lightning accompanied by the crash of thunder broke out before Fang spoke.

There could be many reasons as to why he did not want to engage the Sith, both stratigical and personal factors. He may have wanted to be able to analyse the enemy before engagement, He may have been waiting for a critical moment, or decided that at teh time, our reasources would have been better spent on the enemy at hand, rather tahn the one approaching, or he may have been scared, or overconfident, and did not feel ready to fight a Sith of that level, and may have been hoping it would pass us by. Fang answered calmly in response, he also noticed how thouroughly drenched Lutomi was getting due to the rain. What reasons do you think made him choose to ignore it Lutomi? Fang asked as he took off his cloak and gently placed it over the girl's shoulders.

Lutomi pondered the many noted possibilities which Lucien had offered. After his reply, his turning the question right around to her, brought her to a frightful realization. "I admit, I really hadn't anticipated that I could perceive any reason acceptable." It did bother her.

She is certain that everyone feels they had just been put through hell, and the Knight chose to extend his protection of her from the simulator to now the rain. The cloak didn't make any difference as she is already soaked, but it did take the edge off the increasing wind. She gripped it tight around her, with a small smile of gratitude.

"I suppose my own reaction to the presence caused him to fear all the more."

Fang returned the girl's warm smile, I doubt you caused him to fear more than he already did, but it is good that you have noted how your own reactions can affect others. Fang said warmly. He gently put his arm over her shoulder come padawan, let us get out of this rain, we took enough of a beating in the simulatour, we dont need one from nature as well. As he said this he gently guided her down the street, slowly leading them to one of the city's many transport bus's that would take them back to the temple.

The transport was just as wet on the inside as the world outside it, but at least it was warm. Lutomi chose to stand, as the water pooled at her feet. She felt twenty pounds heavier in the Knight's cloak.

There would be alot to meditate upon tonight, however sleep was also a need. But she doubts she can sleep with all the things weighing on her mind. Maybe in time everything will just come together. This battle was the first time Lutomi met with the sensation of a Sith presence since she had lived as one. The difference between the two is so profound, shocking even. She had been on that same path when it was the only one she knew. She hadn't really ever pondered the idea that she might one day fight against the Sith. Her twin still lives as a Sith. She certainly wouldn't fight her own sister. But the idea of meeting up with a Sith Lord, like today, she felt so immediately disassociated with it, that she just wanted it dead, fast. But it could heave been her sister, it could have been herself.

But Lutomi remained silent. Her history wasn't something she could perceive many would be able to accept. Some might know it, sure. But people don't usually truly take the time to comprehend her association to the Sith. Many never gather enough nerve to ask.

Fang chuckled as he entered the transport, it seemed that the rain had a will of its own, being taht the inside was so wet. Fang stood beside Lutomi in the transport. He looked over to her, as the transport left the station. He sensed a certain amount of doubt and worry in her mind. She was clearly more impacted by the days events than she was letting on. Fang placed a warm hand on her shoulder.

What is it Lutomi? He asked gently as the transport continued to glide along the cityscape.

Lutomi still hasn't warmed up much to unsolicited physical contact, but she no longer fights the cultural differences.

"You know, I was brought here. I chose to come here." She closed her eyes for a brief moment in thought. "I chose to change. There were just too many real faces in that reflection of the Sith Lord, I guess I never thought I'd see again." She will probably need to meditate on it quite a while, she thought, along with wanting it dead. It was all too dramatic to just blurt out, especially without fully understanding the extent of what she is truly feeling.

Fang nodded in response, removing his hand as she spoke He took a moment when she finished before speaking, I wont pretend to know your experiance, or to completly understand how you are feeling Lutomi, He paused for a moment glancing out the window to see that they had almost arrived at the temple, he looked back towards her, but should you wish to discuss it, the order will always be there for you. Fang said to her.

He looked out the window again, as the transport began its descent to the temple platform. The skies seemed to slowly be clearing up, though it was still raining.

"Master Novan has been quite remarkable for me."

Lutomi removed his cloak as it only weighted her down now. The car was warm enough. She draped it over her arm to allow it to drip freely. "Thank you." She smiled. "Sadly, neither of us escaped this particular part of the evening."

"Tell me, how did you get to be so very quick? I've never seen anyone with faster reflexes." She wanted to learn a little bit about him while she had the chance.

"Tell me, how did you get to be so very quick? I've never seen anyone with faster reflexes." She asked, it was a good question, but a tough one to answer, Fang had always been quick on his feet, and had never paused to consider why, it was sort of like wondering why one was a good pilot, or asking someone who was naturally gifted in understanding complex physiscs equations why they were so good at it, people didnt usually stop to consider these things, they just, were. he really didnt have an answer

That is a good question Lutomi, one that I am not sure how to answer. I suppose I have always been quick on my feet, but using force speed most certainly helps Fang said in response as they stepped off of the transport and headed into the temple.

Lutomi smiled. "I assume that it does. It certainly is a trait you have developed that makes you stand apart." She had the chance to witness him utilize many of his skill sets today. This will have been the first time she worked along side him. They faced Stormtroopers, tanks, and a Sith Lord to end it all. "I am happy to have had the opportunity to observe your Lightsaber Form."

She wanted a Spa Treatment and a long, long sleep. "I could use a protein drink before I retire," she stated as she followed.

She sought a critique on her style, but won't push the matter any more tonight. Perhaps he'll grant it tomorrow.

"Would you care to join me?" She is still quite drenched, but the Temple has a hearth or two to be found warming for sure.

Fang nodded his head in thanks to her compliments as they entered the temple. "I could use a protein drink before I retire, would you care to join me?" she asked him. Fang thought for a moment and nodded in agreement that he could also use a drink, he gestured for her to take the lead as they entered the temple, his mind beggining to get pre occupied replaying parts of teh battle in his head, wondering if the simulated sith lord had been adjusted, wondering how he could do better next time, so that less troops, even if they were simulated, would die.

The warm air that rushed over her from the moment she stepped foot in the temple was a welcome relief. Lutomi kept Lucien's robe draped over her arm as they walked. As usual for any hour of the temple, its packed with Jedi, especially with the looming potential threat to Tython. Serenity can be found here. And usually those entering are in need of it.

The interior architecture still stole her interest as if it was the very first time she viewed it, but not so much that she did not feel him fall into thought as they walked along. "Lucien, what is it?" she asked him. She had been so preoccupied with her own curiosities about their recent experience, that she hadn't even considered the Knight might harbor some of his own insecurities.

"Lucien, What is it?" the padawan asked, and Fang was brought out of thought. Hm? he said, taken a bit off from just being brought out of thought and that she used his first name, he had always preferred Fang, his last name, though he never really knew why. regaining his composure he responded. oh, nothing, I was just letting my mind wander for the most part. he paused for a long moment as they continued to walk and a awkward silence (at least for him) ensued. part of me though, cant help but wonder if weather or not that Sith lord was adjusted... Fang said as they neared their destination

"Adjusted?" Lutomi asked perplexed. She didn't quite understand. She wondered, "You never met one, have you, a Sith Lord?"

She thought for a moment about what to say next. "I hope you never do. But if you do, remember they're just people, Lucien. It's when they fight, that they don't seem like people any longer." Lutomi met the door to the cafeteria with her back, and she looked at him when she passed through.

"Remember Darth Vader and Darth Sidious were so powerful that they actually held the Empire together. They fed confidence to their Army. When they were no more, the Empire troops lost hope. But most importantly in my opinion, even Darth Vader was said to have died a penitent man due to love for his son."

Lutomi lead the way to the dispenser, and she drew two steins. "A real Sith Lord, my friend, could have controlled his Stormtroopers better than in that Simulation." Lutomi reached for the spout and poured them both a protein drink.

She handed him one stein and looked at him for a moment with curiosity. She realized that he wouldn't give her his opinion about how she fought, because he held onto the very same opinions of himself, as she did her own performance. "We cannot second guess life. We must let go of What if's... We'll never know anything beyond what we actually do. And we cannot do anything other than that which we do." She smiled softly. "You did fine, Lucien. That was a no win simulation. I know the Jedi don't believe in fate, but I believe sometimes we can beat the impossible."

Fang smiled as she finished her little speech and took the drink from her hands, You are wise beyond your years Lutomi, Fang said, and I am well versed in waht happened with the Empire, and fully expect that a real Sith would have been much harder, my concern is that if it was adjusted, it cheated us out of some valuble experiance. Fang explained calmly. he went and sat down at a table not really sure what else to say, he simply sat and took a sip of his drink.

'Beyond my years?' Lutomi almost choked on her drink as she suppressed a laugh. She didn't think him much older than herself! She sat across from him and faced him.

"What were you hoping for? To have your foundation tested through head games? Defending against the Force attacks are the lighter side of the confrontation. It..." she paused for only a second. "It isn't a wonderful feeling to face someone who in a matter of minutes has you doubting everything you've been taught. Who makes you face a duality of your self, which maybe you know you have, or you don't. All in all, it never makes a difference, because you walk away a completely different person." Lutomi remembers how it felt to face Larik. "I'm sorry. Maybe that was too intense a statement."
