Simulations

Hello everyone. Just wanted to let you all know that Sub-level 73 now has simulations available with maps based on the Imperial Navy's shipyard, hangars and barracks on Bastion, in addition to the Bastion Army Base. The maps are not perfect replications of the real bases, but we are currently running an infiltration and sabotage practice mission over in Simulation 23. Feel free to use these new preset environments in your own future simulations.

Does this include any vehicle combat?

There are certainly simulations available for TIE piloting, and some would likely include tactical strikes on the army base. However, striking the navy base or hangars just seems suicidal.

The Field Marshall is quite an experienced pilot, and undoubtedly is training anyone who is genuinely interested on how to be a skilled pilot. My preference for that sort of training would be the Guardsmen, but we don't really have the numbers to turn away anyone who wants pilot training.

cool I was just curious because I noticed there was another Sim sublevel that wasn't up on the boards yet that says it is for vehicle combat.

that level is mostly for testing and simulations in the real thing. the holodeck can do a lot but safeties and it being just that prevent real time conditions.
