Single Female Pirate, Looking For Group [Come VOTE on a ship name, everyone!]

I know of a certain space pirate who is freshly created and looking to make some professional connections.

It's Xiu's purpose in life to get a big ship and fill it with pirates. To do that, she needs three things: a ship, some pirate friends, and credits. So let's all be friends and a make whole bunch of credits and buy a ship, eh?

Here's what I'm thinking...

1.) I will generate some missions (I'm thinking of using a random generator, that could be fun) that Xiu will undertake with whomever signs up in this thread.

2) Each job will be for a specified amount of credits (or other rewards, possibly also randomly generated) to be split.

3) Along the way, everyone involved becomes a professional contact of Xiu's-- someone she can count on.

4) When the reserves are rich enough, Xiu gets a ship that can contain all our awesome, and we go tear shit up all across the galaxy (Note: this does not necessarily mean that she will buy it, just that she has the money needed to maintain and undertake the ownership of a large ship).

You can participate in any or all of the steps, as much or as little as you want-- this is just to get the ball rolling. Some of you who were around a year or two ago might remember Tsu Ordan's pirate crew aboard the No Rest For the Wicked, and I'd like to head in a similar direction with this eventually. For now, it's just about living the raid and getting paid. So if you want to be a crewman on the ship later, or if you just want to do a thread with Xiu now, jump in!

I will update this post with job info once I get a feel for who/how many are interested. If you love booty as much as I do, you'll want to stick around!

I may have her join the Exchange, but I want to reach that through RP. I'd like her to be back on her feet first. Maybe meeting other Exchange members through this context could provide a good route for that.

I'm stinking up something that we may do as a group, though four people is a little more than I usually prefer in a thread at one time. I'll get back to you guys tomorrow.

I'd love to participate with my pirate captain in the Sacred Band of Ziost. Perhaps as an antagonist or host on Serenno. I've so far introduced the Lure of Serenno to make Serenno to our timeline what Nassau was to carribean pirates like Blackbeard, Hornigold etcetera and I'd love that idea to be shared by more pirates than just my own. :)

If one of my character slots open up because I suck at PvP, I'll have My indie pirate on the bench try to weasle his way into the quartermaster position on your ship ;)

If you're referring to my above response, then by group I meant one thread with four people in it. Threads with more than three people tend to hang and/or generally move slowly. And cool, I will work you in.

Always great to have other pirate friends, though the idea of an antagonist/rival intrigues me as well. Frienemies often make for fun RPs. We will see what we can work out! And your Serenno sounds like a pretty happening party. :P

Here's what I've got so far, using a random quest generator. The missions will be tweaked to fit into SW, and stirred vigorously after adding 3/4 cups of intrigue.

@Sal Falūd @TheHook1 , that'll be us. :) For this mission, the three of us have responded to a request for aid and the promise of a handsome payday. The scientist seems intentionally vague on the information surrounding the purpose of the job, but promises to be in constant communication during the expedition. Given the amount of time between the response to the posting and the reply from the scientist, Xiu believes this Tina Reenes is thoroughly vetting the respondents, probably looking up previous completed jobs and work history; she seems to be selecting carefully. Understandably, Xiu has an uneasy feeling about the whole thing, and your characters might too, but the creds are good.

@Maul @Sammothy , this one is ours. For this job, an old friend of Xiu has contacted her to refer her to a Ms. Cese Allell who represents an anonymous military unit. She wants a rogue exploration robot neutralized to prevent it from making headlines that their unit blundered, causing possibly political backlash. This is a more discreet job, and your characters will have been referred individually by whatever manner you choose-- just be advised it was not a public posting and some level of discretion in responding is necessary.

I will post an OOC thread for those two jobs this weekend to get things moving!

@The Duke @Ecclessey @Jack , I feel like your characters should have more personal interactions with Xiu, and thus a 1-1 thread for each may be better. I have a couple ideas for each of you and would like to refine/discuss a little bit. I may be PMing you guys this weekend, depending, or I may just settle on something and getting it rolling. I will keep you posted.
