Utapau was largely empty these days. It had become overrun with infected and many of the sparse refugee camps had been evacuated off the planet. The sinkholes, the remnants of war zones and ruins left the planet largely uninhabited. Edin had no desire to be anywhere near this ball of dump, but Amira had mentioned taking on a job with a massive payout that consisted of saving some rich idiot that got in way over his head.
Edin already knew he couldn’t talk Amira out of this job. He acted casual when she mentioned it in passing and that was the end of it.
That was exactly why she was going to get quite a shock when she parked her ship in the largely empty spaceport. She would park in the bay, walk down the ramp, walk into the empty terminal and spot a familiar face. Edin was standing there posing as a chauffeur holding a giant sign that said ‘Empress Pain In The Ass’. He was standing by himself on account of no one ever coming to this planet anymore.
The Firrerreo was dressed in mercenary armor, his helmet on his hip because he knew the job would entail going out into the field. Amira, of course, had no clue she would run into him and that was by design. She would have complained about how she didn’t need any help and whatnot and Edin had no patience for it. Instead, he chose to be there to greet her on the spot and deal with it then.
