Siphoning information

Mockadane maneuvered his vessel, swinging around as he reached the wreckage. Black smoke was billowing out from a transport vehicle, the wheels were almost knocked off. The repulsor lifts kicked on as The Rapere slowly descended towards the desert surface. Hitting a few buttons on the control console, the landing ramp started to descend, white smoke poured out as the hydrolic pistons activated allowing the passengers of the star ship to exit.

The three beings exited into the bright sunlight, looking around, but only viewing death. Jawa bodies were sprawled out before them, black marks on thier robes. Droids were dismantled and destroyed as Mockadane walked along the wreckage, moving parts out of his way with his foot. He knelt down and touched one of the black marks upon one of the jawas. He could feel the rough, burnt texture against his fingertips. Looking up at Eldorack, he waited for his analysis.

"The wounds are not old. Whoever did this is not far. The shots are not accurate, but there were enough of them to get the job done."

"How many do you think."

"Seven or eight shooters I would say."

Mockadane looked at Rowan, a scowl look upon his face. "Well we know there are at least half a dozen men we are going to have to deal with. You up for that?"

He look around "that all, wow I was expecting 20 or more" he says joking ." He counted to walk around "what do you think we missed Eldorack. There is a story here" said Rowan. He walk to a point then turned to face the wreckage and bodes "the Jawas were cover." He picks up a blaster pistol out of the sand " Jawas don't carry these." showing them the CZ-BP01 blaster pistol in bad condition. he walked over to another point "there is blood here and not Jawas I bet. it is one of the attackers or rescuers. Eldorack, can you tell Race of the person that died here" ask Rowan.

Eldorack walked around the area, looking at the blaster shots on the tranport vehicle, the ricochet burn marks which helped the HRD determine which direction the blaster bolt had been fired from. He looked around at the jawa's and the droids, noticing a layer of dust upon everything. He looked at Mockadane and Rowan.

"This was an ambush for something. The disassembled droids could indicate they are looking for mechanical parts to make something. Also this does not look random at all. If you look over here" Eldorack said as he walked over to a clear patch of sand about five to ten meters away from the crime scene, "You can see the marks in the sand. That is landing gear. The footprints show leading to the scene and then away from the scene. The thin layer of sand upon everything indicates that after they had finished what they had done here, they left."

Mockadane rubbed a part of the robes of one of the Jawa's that he was kneeling next to.

"The blaster was probably planted Rowan. The tracks that the vehicle made are heading towards the palace. They obviously had something of value for the Hutt Lord and that is what he is after." @RED-1

"I like it when I don't have to work with green Mercenary's, I think you are both right." as he says looking over the area. "Now the ship took off but where did it go?" he turned to the others "lets hope they did not have a stealth ship" he touch a button on on his communications device on the under side of his forearm armor. "Black, this is wolf channel 4 in the green." After a pause a mans voice replied "yes Wolf six, this is Black." Rowan waited a few seconds "Mark my position, I know you guys were surveying the area from my last mission. see if the equipment saw a ship leavening this area and what direction it went." There was silence "copy Wolf Six, give me two mikes." Rowan look back at the others "I make maps on the side up to 3D and navigation plans for ship navigation computers. also I get up to date maps from my ship every 24 hours when on missions it can even see troop movements. so if the ship was here the computer should be able to plot its movement to a point." he pulls out a computer tablet it beeps he touches the screen and then walks over to Mockadane and hands him the computer tablet. "Nice pitcher of the leaving ship." what do you think?

Mockadane looked at the holographic image of the ship as it shimmered in the blue light. He looked at Rowan.

"Does your maps show the last known trajectory of the vessel?"

Rowan looked at the tablet and work with it for a moment then hands it back "They flew that way, but we lose them here, I cant watch the hole world"

Mockadane looked at the screen, memorizing the angle and trajectory that the vessel was traveling. He nodded to Rowan and Eldorack.

"Ok, lets move."

The three made their way to The Rapere, walking up the loading ramp and resuming their position in the cockpit. Mockadne flipped a few switches, and the vessel gave a sudden jerk as the repulsor lifts kicked on, the ship started to hover off of the ground. Mockadane moved his hands along the control console, pivoting and piloting the ship. He angled his ship towards the direction of the mysterious ship, the ion engines gave a loud roar as they were now reaching for space.

It wasn't long until the blackness of space consumed the vessel, millions of tiny white dots were in the viewport. As the ship stayed its coarse, they were now able to see a large vessel in the distance.

Rowan looked down at his tablet "That is the ship, I am not sure but it seems to be almost shut down I think they are trying to run silent." he turned to the sensors panel he ran his fingers over the controls "they are not transmitting EM" says Rowan. he looked over the readings the lights and screen reflecting off his face. "How is this ship equipped, what is your plan?" he ask.

 

[Caramon]

Mockadane knew what he wanted to do, knew how he wanted to do it. He looked at Rowan.

"I want to get close enough to that ship to activate their tractor beam and they can pull us in. It would look weird if we requested to board their vessel. Once we are upon the ship, which by the looks of it doesnt look like it is running at full manpower capacity, we can try to get to the captain. That he who we are after. What do you think?"

"What, don't you think someone will be waiting for us Mockadane?" Rowan said. he looked the ship over "If they have a full crew they could take us down before we got to him." Rowan said as he reached up and scratched his chin. "If I was them I would not be taking new comers right now" Rowan said then paused. "Well lets see if the ship will except visitors" he says with a smile.

 

[Caramon]

The Rapere flew through the blackness of space, the lights upon the wings blinking as they always did. In the distance the large cruiser hung there, suspended in space as if it were waiting for something. Mockadane looked at Rowan.

"Well its showtime."

The comm unit upon the bounty hunters vessel came alive, the head of a weequay appeard upon the holo projector. He spoke in a raspy voice.

"Unidentified craft, identify yourself and your purpose."

"This is the Rapere and my purpose is none of your buisness. I am under no contract to answer to you or anyone out here."

The pirate captain looked to an unknown being on his right and nodded.

"Fine have it your way."

The projection of the pirate dissipated as the transmission ended. A blue hue surrounded the ship as they felt the ship suddenly lunge sideways towards the large cargo vessel.

"Well, I gues that is better than being shot at" Mockadane said with a slight grin.​

"lets not give them the chance dock with them quickly" says Vane as he pulls some explosives from his bag. He did not need to be told what to do he rushed back to the docking door and waited for the docking clamps to lock. Vane got the breaching charges ready clipping them to his belt. feeling the ship move then he could hear the ship dock with a sliest shake as the ship stopped. he extended the docking ring and locked it to the other ship he new it was a good lock with the metallic vibration. Vane pressurized the docking ring he knew he had 5 seconds to plant the charges and blow the door before the other crew could get set. he placed the charges with the green like on his detonator he was ready. Hearing Mockadane and Eldorack coming when they came in to view "Cover! Breaching in 2...1...." Vane hit the button. there was a loud explosion as the Pirate door blew in to their ship filling there corridor with smoke.

Mockadane heard Rowan count down, he stood up against a wall a few meters from where the explosion was about to take place. A loud bang was heard and smoke started to flow out from the grenades as the boarding party started to come through the doorway. Mockadane reacted quickly, grabbing his stun piston in one hand and his bastard sword in the other. He was a large man so the weight of the sword did not slow his movements. He could not make out how many men were coming through the door, he just knew that they needed to be dealt with.

The bounty hunter raised his pistol and aimed at the door. He pulled the trigger, a large ring of energy blasted towards the the advancing men. The ring hit the first two men and they fell limp to the floor. The other men stepped over their comrades as they continued to enter the docking bay.

:Eldorack:

Eldorack quickly reacted with inhuman speed. His metalic legs swiftly carried him throughout the chamber. He grabbed the first man he came to, spinning around in time to hear the shot being fired from Mockadane's stun pistol. The ring swiftly missed him as he threw the man he had in his grasp agains a nearby wall. The pirate hit the transparasteel wall, making a dent from the impact. A sickening thud was heard as his limp body hit the floor.

Standing to one side of the docking ring Vane drawing his dual phase pistol he dropped on to one knee. The next pirate stepped through the hole in the door firing his weapon. a blaster bolt just missed Vane and hit the wall next to him exploding in to sparks . Vane Firing his dual phase pistol a bolt of light hit pirate in the right side of the neck the man spun and hit the ground hard grabbing his own throat. Vane knew that the hole would limit their numbers coming through.
