DESCRIPTION
The Sith have used weapons like the Lanvarok. The weapons holds five blades that are spring loaded and fired by depressing a thumb trigger. These weapons are usually tailor made for the user so that the fit works best with their clothing and armor of choice. However for modern day wielders this design limits any possible arm based armor function. The hand that is used to grip the handle and depress the trigger is still capable of holding a lightsaber though range of motion and a lot of dexterity is lost. While the firing mechanism of the Lanvarok is rugged it does not rely on any electronic equipment. The Larvarok does not suffer a weakness like blasters that could be stopped by electromagnetic pulses or other more subtle means that would otherwise cripple a warrior. Attaching and removing of the weapon takes a significant amount of time since it requires a strap and clamp to remove. Warriors usually keep the item on them the whole time, even when they run out of ammunition. This also prevents it from being knocked away or yanked by enemies. A Lanvarok is also made for specifically one appendage. As a result a left handed Sith Lanvarok can only be fired by the left hand and vis versa.

Exceptionally light, these five centimeter diameter discs can be shot out, spinning as they fly to cut through tissue and even tough hid. These weapons come with two different types of ammunition. Each type of ammunition come in stacks of five and are quite cheap to manufacture. The first and most common form of ammunition are the Qorit discs. These are named with the sith word for "End" for a reason as they are usually the cause of death for any they are turned upon. They are solid and capable of significantly damaging modern day armor. However they are slightly heavier and as such must hit the target at optimal range to do enough damage to the armor. However the blades are still more than enough to cause a target to bleed out if they are unlucky enough to get caught by a disc without the protection of armor at a farther distance. The blades are still enough to slice through bone and flesh with ease.

The second type of ammunition are the Chwuq discs. These get their name from the age old poisons that used to coat the blades and have a burning affect on their enemies. However today there are many more poisons at the user's discretion. These blades are not capable of dealing damage to heavily armored targets what-so-ever as they have groves to hold better contain and transfer the poison. Instead they rely on hitting unarmored targets and dealing damage based on the poisons that coat them. These are still capable of tearing through simple clothing or pelts but not armor. The toxic chemicals used must be acquired separately (through its own individual and sold separate plot no doubt).

Chwug discs and Qorit ammunition types cannot be loaded into the same ammunition containers. If both forms of ammunition are aimed at an unarmored target (poison or not) they both count as dealing light damage. The packs made for the poisonous types are meant to keep them laced with the toxins until they are fired. Try to mix and match will result in a jamming of the weapon. Reloading in general takes a significant amount of time, even for a skilled warrior (one full post's worth of time). Qorit discs must be resharpened and Chwuq discs must have the toxins reapplied after being fired. One cannot simply pickup fired discs and reload them back into the Lanvarok.

LEGALITY
Not only are these weapons of significant barbarity in the eyes of the public but they are also artifacts and symbols of tradition and status. It is only legal for members of the Empire's Military to own one of these.

INTENT
A few people have requested force user friendly weapons. I intend for this to be limited in use for members and to not be abused in PvP. This adds to the well known history of the Sith (species and faction) so giving people the opportunity to acquire it would be good to see. See legends wiki page for reference.

ADVANCED TECH
Yes. These are usually tailor made and also rarely found outside of deep Sith space at the present time. It might be usable for non-Empire Faction players to acquire though it would be somewhat more difficult than someone inside the faction. 1 thread minimum with adequate difficulty should be used to acquire one of these since poisons to be used with this must be acquired separately.

YASSSS!!!!! I NEED DIS!!!!!!!

Just wanna make sure, will this count as an individual weapon(can't hold anything in the left hand if it's equipped in the left hand) or will it count as some type of an armour 'function' of sorts(Can use a sword/lightsabre in the left hand if it's equipped in the left hand)? Just wanna understand clearly cuz if I'm reading this correctly my dude will still be able to use his lightsabre alongside this in the left hand...or am I misunderstanding?

Plus for the plot to create/get the poison discs, is there a limit on how many 'magazines' we can acquire in the plot?

First paragraph says the following

"The hand that is used to grip the handle and depress the trigger is still capable of holding a lightsaber though range of motion and a lot of dexterity is lost."

So you can still use that hand to tap datapads, steer a vehicle's controls, etc but you have a big honkin think covering your forearm so your not going to be as nimble as you would without it.

Ammunition for this is not a matter of concern considering ammo for the lanvarok is just in the form of the disks. However it is between you and the plot mod to decide whether or not you have a lifetime supply of poison for yourself to use with your lanvarok or not.
