Kurpis was in a fit of rage, he could hear blaster fire towards the holding cells but it was impossible to tell what was going on the internal communications were down and the security feed was showing nothing but static, He was flanked by half a dozen heavy combat droids their thick armour was enough to resist lightsabers for a while, and the stun mauls they wielded were set to a deadly level, another four stood further back a pair of twin linked blasters replacing each arm.

"What ever comes through that door tear them apart! If they get past us destroy the lifts I'm not letting rebels Walk out of here with our slaves"

The droids all acknowledged his command as the door started to buckle and give way, taking up his own shock staff he dropped into a ready stance familiar to a Jedi opening stance.

He had gathered what he could of the guards left and sent them to secure the entrance and landing pads while his droids and him were perfectly capable of dealing with slaves it worried him that an attack had penetrated so deeply.

Arten remained sitting for a moment taking in his predicament, the droids advanced round the desk He guessed the mundane surface of their blades were something else cortosis he guesses, the turrets simple enough things motion tracking with repeaters.

"This is foolishness Videk, are you that eager to die?"

He drew the force in around himself creating a barrier absorbing the first volley of fire as he stood drawing his lightsabers twirling the blades he parried the second salvo sending two of the blasts back into the closest turrets causing them to explode loudly the other two bolts he deflected into the furniture of the room, spinning on his heelsto face the droids as they stepped round the desk, turning the force he'd gathered inwardly he directed it outwards into the chests of the droids lifting them from their feet and sending them backwards to smash through the high window of the office and into the air beyond. His blades flashed out behind him as the turrets fired again sending the blasts back into the turrets.

He looked at Videk as the turrets exploded.

"Three salvos, I must be betting slow in my old age, you really should have drawn a gun, I have centuries of fencing and lightsaber training behind me."

Grik stood, practically salivating, in the fray of the fight. He deflected blaster bolts with the long, wide blade of his saber, in doing so, pinning down the slavers with their own scattered gunfire. Eventually, he burst forward to hack away at the three closest slavers, bisecting two of them in an instant, then slammed the third into the wall behind him. He leaped upward onto a pipe to survey the melee happening below and swings himself forward, using his momentum and weight to crush one of the men firing at Baigo. He stopped to watch the conflict between the captain of the slavers and Baigo, the human Acolyte that had shown some level of competence with Force Lightning, a Force ability that Grik cannot say he's capable of. He more geared toward physical augmentation and some applications of Force pushes, pulls, throws and Force Choke.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The slaver captain stood at the ready as the combined slaves and Sith burst through the door. He stayed his hand until the human Sith among them approached the slave Jert. From there, he decided to enter the fray as his men were up against way more than they'd bargained for, and took a shot at the man. To no surprise, the blast was deflected, and into one of his men, no less. From there, the Sith charged and attempted to electrocute him, which worked but was able to break free in time to pull his vibro-blade and defend against the strike, locking swords. Being fully aware of how quick he'd have to react before the blade of his sword succumbed, he quickly draws a small stun pistol used to goad slaves into their pins. It was a cheap build with the capacity to burn, and had a cool down after ever two consecutive shots fired took aim at the Sith, hoping and praying this would knock him back enough to give him a chance to switch back to his main weapon system, the barebones Merr-Sonn R8R Battle rifle.
(Thought I'd make the captain a cut above his men, but not a Sith-killing badass. You can kill him in the next post.)
The sparks from the guard's blade danced and exploded from their lock, landing softly against the Sith's mask. The man was stronger than Baigo had anticipated, but it would only be mere seconds before the blade succumbed to his own weapon. Instead, however, the Captain drew a stun gun and took aim. Baigo rolled away from the lock to the right, evading the shot, but now the guard had turned and dropped his blade in from above. The teal lightsaber rose in defence, but instead of locking blades with his foe again, Baigo pushed the sword back into the air. The guard stumbled from the retaliation, but regained his footing quickly. By the time he was able to focus on Baigo once again, it was only in time to see the bottom of the Sith's boot mere moments before it collided into his face. Instead of a slight stagger, the guard this time found himself flat against the ground.
Slowly Baigo walked forward and placed the same boot down on the man's throat. The humming lightsaber buzzed ahead and pointed directly in between the man's eyes, casting a blueish green hue on the Captain's face.
"Hm... I'm not done with you yet. Get up," Baigo stepped back and raised his weapon ahead of him again. The Guard rose, unsure of why his life had been spared. But this time, the Sith would play with him.
The guard rushed forward and attacked with a sweep to Baigo's hip. The telltale crash of lightsaber on metal echoed, signifying that Baigo was able to block the attack. Next the Captain attempted to spin in a full 360, and came in from above aimed for where Baigo's neck met his shoulder. With his arm raised, the sword met with the lightsaber once more. This time Baigo's other hand came foreward, and he used the power of the force to thrust the man back into the far wall.
"Come on!" Baigo taunted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Videk's defences quickly began to fall around him as the Sith laid a wave of destruction across the office. This caused Videk to take a step back in awe. He knew this battle would not be one that he could win with skill, but he had hoped that the defences of the complex would eventually overwhelm him. After all, he was one man. It wasn't like he had an army...
"Be that as it may, I will not allow a man such as yourself to push a man of my stature around!"
Videk walked around from behind the desk, and unclipped his cape from his shoulders. It hit the ground with a quiet sound, and the man raised his sword. Then, quickly, he lunged foreward, the blade still held at a 45 degree angle upwards. He had intended on forcing the weapon in the Sith's throat, allowing it to slide further in and down as he pushed.
He sighed, stepping to the side as the blade hissed passed him tearing into his robes, twisting his shoulders he deactivated his lightsabers as he drove his closed fist into Videk's throat driving him back into the desk, his blade clattered across the floor as Videk gasped at his throat, it rose slowly up to the air as Aretn tucked his weapons away and dropped the spinning blade into his waiting hand, flicking the blade he tilted his head in admiration of the weapon, it was well balanced and finely worked.
"A fine blade, it must have cost you a fair amount."
He closed his other hand round the blade itself and with an exertion of force snapped the weapon dropping the parts to the floor he drew one of his lightsabers.
"How do you want it, quick and painless or otherwise?"
Kurpis watched as his guards were made easy fodder eye twitching in fury, he stepped forward barking orders at the combat droids,
"Take the monster!"
He turned his attention to the humanoid his shock weapon sparking to life it could stand up to a lightsaber more so than many weapons as the energy field would protect it, the droids own weapons were similar but single ended like a hammer the stormed forward swatting aside several slaves as they closed with Grik, Kurpis himself smashed a slave aside satisfaction that the slave was dead he stepped over the body and closed with Baigo as he fought one of his captains he stepped in beside the guard his weapon held ready.
"What are you waiting for, you've been trained for this."
Grik snarled at the man who referred to him as a monster. Something about that word, truly set Grik off. He ate the last man who called him that alive. With a noticeable change in his voice, the Barabel spoke in a tone saturated with hatred, "Monster... This One is no monster! Monsters don't exist! This One exists! You will not, for long!" he shouted, barreling forward at the Droids, using the long blade of his Greatsaber, to cut them down before they were in reach of him, though one managed to block the strike, but was knocked off kilter by the sheer strength of the strike, and quickly dispatched with an overhead power strike.
With that, Grik would leap over the bodies that laid along the floor, and landed next to Baigo. "This One is very real," hie hissed and without missing a beat, rushed the one named Kurpis, swinging wildly attempting to overpower him and his weapon, leading with three precisely aimed overhead strikes, two of which were aimed at the man's shoulders and a final strike at the crown of his head, following that was a powerful push kick aimed at his chest.
Kurpis cursed as his droids were reduced to little more than molten slag, but then the monster came at him directly, swinging the big lightsaber with whatt appeared to be little skill he stepped round the strikes as they fell like a wood cutter the beast had to recover the weapon back above his head with each strike he was about to make his moved when the think launched his foot out into his midsection, Kurpis took the blow gasping as the wind was knocked from his body but as he was driven back his weapon came down in an arc that would see it's energised head connect with Grik's knee joint, he didn't imagine that the blow would cripple him, not with the thickness of his scales but if it connected it would numb it make him slowly, hell it might even disable the leg for a while. he landed hard on his back and used his training to turn it into a back roll coming to his knees.
He coughed and spat blood but he smiled wickedly as he came to his feet and the blaster armed droids stepped in front of him to act as a shield, their weapons levelled in the direction of the Sith, Slaves and the lone guard captain remaining.
"Open fire."
The droids didn't hesitate their blasters unleashed a torrent of blaster bolts in to the melee cutting down many of the slaves and his own guard captain, a few of the slaves ducked behind the cover of the combat droids Jert included but he directed the droids attention at the Sith.
"Focus on the Sith, gun them down!"
He wasn't willing to hang about while the droids did their work he fled his lungs were hurting too much to engage in another fight with the monster or the other Sith.
Grik hissed, as the coward fled, erupting into a rage, deflecting blaster bolts, as he closed the distance on the droids. "This One is not done with you! Not until you fill my stomachs!!" he bellowed, the Dark Side of the Force twisting his voice into something truly demonic, as rage welled within him, as he inadvertantly tapped into a form of Force Rage. The air felt thick around the Barabel, as he closed the distance, opting for a single handed grip with a traditional lightsaber blade length, ripping through the first droid and bashing the other to the side, leaving him for Baigo to kill, as his opponent had been stolen by the barrage of blaster bolts. The Force induced rage augmented the Grik's speed and he soon had the man cornered, laughing maniacally. "Heh heheheh...Monsters are myths.... This One is real." he said, launching forward, with his lightsaber blade screaming through the air at at breakneck speed and precision. Calling Grik an unskilled fighter is a fool's mistake. He aimed to bisect him at the hips.
As the upper half of the still living Slaver Captain, the Barabel lifted his upper half as the legs fell to the floor. Before the damage to the man's spine killed his brain, the Barabel digs his long needle-like incisors into his neck, feeding frantically until there it little left but a blood-covered skeleton. After sating his apetite, he returns to the fray to finish off what remained of the Slavers.
As Baigo watched the Barabel thrash his way through the defences, he ran his blade through the droid that his ally had cast aside. He then stretched out, and lightning spewed from his finger tips, enveloping the last two remaining droids in it's web of destruction. They both started to shake violenting and dropped to the ground, smoldering from the fried circuitry. His blade retreated back to his hilt, and he started to walk toward's Grik as he devoured the man. The rest of the room was filled with bodies of slaves and slavers alike, but the fighting had come to an end.
"Grik," Baigo said, sounding slightly irritated. "Wanna let me have some of the fun too next time?" Not having to kill a lot may have meant Baigo was still fully prepared for the slaughter of the slavers around the facility in the next few moments, but it was a let down all in the same. However, watching the creature mangle the surrounding foes did demonstrate that things were in no shortage of blood and gore this night. The Sith looked at the gut remnants and blood on the floor, and curled his lip. 'This is exactly why I use a lightsaber...' he thought to himself.
Baigo turned, and saw that the slaves had all stepped forward, Jert at the forfront. Baigo noticed that the twi'lek girl who had led him to their target had also survived. Jert stepped forward and addressed the Sith.
"May I ask why exactly you want to help us? You've been buying slaves from these men for years now. Why all of the sudden are you changing your mind?"
"Because your rebellion proved you have a fighting spirit. Such spirit doesn't deserve to be penned in like an animal. My hopes are that you will take this moment and consider what we have done here today when it comes time for the war to reach your world." Baigo said as he advanced, and wasn't even sure if he believed his own lies. Slaves had no place on the battle field, and to think of such insignificant individuals serving his Supreme Leader was purely ridiculous in his eyes.
"So then why did you take the time to find me? Couldn't you have just wiped out the slavers? Dropped a whole batallion down here and purge the whole thing? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything you did, it's just.... Weird."
Baigo nodded his head to the side a bit in agreement. It's true that they really did not need the servant after all. The devastation of the slavers in this room alone showed that all they had to do was arm the slaves and lend them a blade or two. The thought of killing the man flashed across his mind, but instead Baigo extended his hand towards Jert.
"Be that as it may, I'm just following orders. Now, shall we finish what we started?" Jert looked at the Sith's hand, and after a moment of thought, grabbed it and shook.
"If these guys are going to die, then that's good enough for me! You heard em, everyone! Let's finish what we started to do!"
The slaves around them all cheered in response, and their hands went up in the air. Some of the slaves had picked up blasters, and fired a few rounds into the ceilings. Then, almost all simultaneously, they began to pour from the room. Cell shields dissipated down the halls as the mob of angry rebels made their way back to the surface. Any guard who got in their way was quickly put to death by the two Sith leading the charge.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Videk watched as his blade was turned into scrap metal, nursing the pained throat of his while he gasped for air. He wasn't able to respond due to his wind pipe being crushed, and laid there on the floor. He wasn't too concerned with what the Sith was saying as he already knew he was about to die. His vision began to darken as his brain suffered from the lack of oxygen. In the background he could make out what he thought were angry cheers, similar to those of what he had experienced with the latest rebellion. With the last of hisenergy, he lifted his right arm slowly, and raised his middle finger to the Sith before falling into an unconcious, and soon to be dead, lump on the ground.
"Disappointing."
He extinguished his blade walking towards the unconscious Videk, stopping he grabbed the man by the collar and dragged him towards the lift.
"Even at the end of things one should retain their dignity, crass feeble gestures lessen you as a man."
He exited the office and looked at the guards stood waiting he tilted his head.
"Do you really want to fight me?"
They hesitated but went to lift their guns, he was already prepared reaching out with the force he lifted each of them from the floor constricting around each of their throats, he choked the life out of each of them as he dragged Videk passed them and into the lift, they hung lifeless in the air as the lift doors closed only falling lifeless to the floor when the lift moved downwards.
Reaching the ground floor he dragged Videk behind him as he sought out his companions the chaos was coming to an end and the other two were easy to find along with the rebel Jert, he tossed the unconscious body in the direction of the gathering slaves.
"He's all yours."
He turned to his companions.
"I see things went as expected."
"As expected, but all too quickly. This Grik fellow doesn't hold back at all. I didn't have to do much of anything" Baigo replied, his teal blade still humming in his hand. "However, we both know this isn't over quite yet," And with that, followed by a grim laugh, Baigo ran forward along his slave companions. Ahead, the twi'lek girl from earlier had found herself being strangled by a rather large Thalassian, catching the Sith's attention.
He leapt through the air, and ran his blade down through the point where the neck meets the collar bone of the man, the tip coming out at his hip. As the body slid to the ground, he released the young girl. She gasped for air and fell to her knees, but wasted no time in retrieving her pistol and returning to her feet, though clearly effected by the dead slaver's abuse.
"You do not die on me, girl. I have plans for you..." Baigo nodded at the girl, and motioned for her to follow him, and while she did it with great hesitation, she followed the order. Together, they advanced through the continued fighting between slaves and slavers, stopping only to kill those directly in their way as they progressed towards the barracks. The Sith intended on purging the dormitories, with or without the assistance of his comrades. While they're help would be a valuable asset, the amount of slavers around the complex needed to be thinned. Too many slavers over-whelming the rebels could cause an effective 'wall' of violence to defend certain key targets, and ultimately bringing their mission to an end so close to utter success.
"Cover me," Baigo said quietly to the woman while he kneeled down next to the entrance. He pulled a device from his pocket, and flipped a small switch on the side. The device began to eminate a soft green glow, before he placed it under a series of shrubs growing near the door. Quickly he stood, and pushed the woman to start running. His comm came to his mouth, while his teal lightsaber sliced it's way through another unfortunate slaver who got in too close.
"Pilot, pick up the signal from my locater, and fire. Don't hold anything back,"
The comm quickly was slipped back into one of his many pockets, and he posed his blade directly in front of him, and tilted forward just as blaster shot struck, repelling it back towards it's point of origin. A Rodian contractor quickly dropped as he was shot in the face by his own weapon, which caused the Twi'lek girl to drop her jaw.
"That's impressive!" She exclaimed in awe. Baigo chuckled, and rested his hand on her shoulder.
"M'lady, you have much to see yet,"
Grik stood with his companions as the screams of the slave master fill the air, he joined his companions in running forward with them, falling behind them a bit, though his height gave him a distinct advantage in moving quickly with small effort. Even with that, he was hampered by the physical and mental exhaustion that comes with Force Rage. This Barabel should be considered lucky as the Rage had been pinpointed to one target, and the worst outcomes from using this technique could have consumed him in the Dark side and he could have lost what mind he still had. His only real detriment was great physical exhaustion. In order to balance this out, he took up the rear of the group, watching their tails with his blaster Rifle.
Something about being called a 'monster' just hit all the wrong buttons. Adapting to his fatigue level he took aim from the rear of the group and provided cover fire where it was needed. As his Sith comrade through a beacon at the door and called in an airstrike. He took a restful position behind cover and waited for the fireworks.
"You have yourself a plaything I see."
He turned to leave his part done here, he had little taste for the slaughter of lesser beasts and strode from the tower as the air strike came in.
"Pilot, bring about the ship and drop the weapons and suppliers, we are done here the slaves we've freed will be sufficient to destabilise this world ready for our return."
