The Plight of Kalee - Sith Reported Killing Two Legendary Mumuu
On the Western fringes of Imperial Space, the diverse world of Kalee appears to be in crisis. Famed for it's powerful native warriors known as the Kaleesh, the planet has recently come under fire by a fast growing pirate band that has all but annihilated local trading efforts. The pirates are believed to have started as a rebel group, opposed to Imperial Rule, but quickly devolved into hostile piracy when it seemed they had failed to get their point across.

In that regard, the pirates, who call themselves The Scarlet Kaleesh, are in fact disgruntled members of their own society, who have turned against their tribes and government in a needlessly violent attempt to make a point.

The pirates utilize a tactic known as 'Scorched Earth', and through this, they have plagued their home-world by torching supply lines, warehouses, and even the local wildlife. They also appear to be using guerilla tactics against trade frigates that attempt to enter the planet's atmosphere. As a result, many local Kaleesh are finding it difficult to keep themselves and their families fed.

Recently, however, there have been fresh reports that two Sith have been spotted on the surface of the planet, attempting to aid the locals with a supply of fresh meat. It is through their efforts that two of the large, powerful predators known as the Mumuu were felled, and their meat distributed to nearby settlements.

The aid offered by the Sith has undoubtedly been welcome, but the root problem remains. The Scarlet Kaleesh, as they call themselves, continue to grow in number, and Kalee might not be their only target for long. Until these pirates are destroyed, the locals will continue to struggle through supply shortages, and any vessels attempting to import goods are under threat of attack. Sending Sith to help hunt large prey on the planet will only serve to be a temporary solution.

The Scarlet Kaleesh must fall.
