DESCRIPTION
The skimboard, also known to others as repulsorlift board, or hoverboard, is a thin platform powered by repulsorlift engines that a rider can ride on top of and they can go at high speeds and fly at atmospheretic altitudes. Due to the nature of these, although they are fast and agile, they can be dangerous especially to the unpracticed. These are also portable and can be carried by hand if need be.

The skimboards are manufactured by a myraid of companies and many designs exist, coming in at varying sizes. At most, the skimboard will clock in at 250 kph and are designed with one rider in mind with a weight limit of 200 lb/~91 kg. A rider above that threshold and/or a passenger riding will reduce the speed and agility of the skimboard depending on how excessively it's going over the limit.

As their designs vary so do their material compositions. Some maybe made of plastoids or perhaps titanium, but regardless skimboards are delicate and fragile and cannot hold up to military grade small arms; one light damage shot connecting to the skimboard will cripple it's functionality, one medium shot or equivariant will destroy it or cause it to go crashing. One could however, attach their Mag-Boots to a skimboard with a metal base to reduce the chances of them falling off.

Some of these skimboards are more beginner-friendly or for children's versions have limiters that can limit their speed and their altitude. These are popular with the 'hip' youth and are coveted by a lot children's across the galaxy. These hoverboards are also use in professional sport settings.

LEGALITY
Legal in most jurisdictions. Legality may vary in large urban areas, but at the very least wearing a helmet will be required in those areas.

INTENT
To provide the site with a fun little 'vehicle' that people can personalize easily. Skimboards are also canon, so yeah.
