ARMOR NAME

The traditional Yautkan armor Skolas dons is kept in good shape. It does not consist of several pieces of armor to allow Skolas agile and quick movement while hunting or fighting. The helmet is made of durasteel as are the shin plates and shoulder pauldrons. Skolas has modified his armor to make him a capable hunter with a personal cloaking device, a bola launcher, thermal and lowlight vision, as well as a scout HUD and rebreather for vacuum emergencies or for more aquatic hunts.

LEGALITY

Legal, but with the helmet on, it may draw unwanted attention from authorities.

To flesh out Predator armor for my character.

Type and Coverage

Type: Light Armor

Coverage: (Coverage regions for Light armor is 1-3 regions, Medium is 4-5, Heavy is 6-7)


  • Head: Full-coverage Durasteel with transparisteel lenses.
  • Upper Arms: Durasteel shoulder pauldrons.
  • Lower Legs: Durasteel shin-guards.





Functions



Function 1: Personal Cloaking Device

  • A gauntlet function only acceptable for light or medium armor, portable cloaking devices are extremely useful for sneaks and, quite frankly, cowards who want to avoid a fight. They provide relatively complete invisibility from the naked eye at a distance of more than 10 meters by warping the light around them, but are quite useless under that range. However, one must move slowly, no faster than a walking speed, and cannot attack in any way, or the cloaking is ended, and it only lasts for about 30 seconds anyways. One's heat signature can still be detected easily. The device must be activated and deactivated by manually pushing a button located on gauntlet, and takes 3 seconds to become fully operational, a time in which one is immobile and can be injured or killed quite easily.
Function 2: Bola Launcher

  • The gauntlet bola Launcher is a useful addition to a bounty hunters arsenal. Single shot, takes several seconds to reload, and has a max range of 25 meters. A successful hit tangles a foe in a strong durasteel wire to slow down or even capture the target.
Function 3: Vision Modes

  • This Allows a Helmet HUD to cycle to low-light OR thermal vision modes.
Function 4: Scout HUD

  • Scout HUD - Contains a 4x magnifier and Compass.
Function 5: Rebreather

  • Rebreathers allow for a person to survive underwater or in space for brief amounts of time by scrubbing CO2 from their exhaled breath. Generally this lasts for 3-4 posts, but heavy exertion can shorten that time.
