After flying around before dropping Esfir and what remained of his men after the Denon mission at a rebel base. The Lieutenant felt that he needed some time to himself. So after dropping the other rebels off, Tycho used his rank to keep the shuttle for a little longer. The man was not ready to continue his duties as an officer as he was questioning himself after the events that unfolded thanks to his orders. His orders causing both civilian and his soldiers lives to he lost.

As he flew the shuttle the officer was using the silence, minus the hum of the engines, to recollect himself. To come to terms with some things. He is not the same man he was back on Nar Shaddaa where he did things without caring what it cost. Now here he is a changed man, thinking about things as well as questioning himself. Things he did not do years ago. What caused the change? Well the answer was simple really.

Bringing the ship around to look at a nearby nebula. The man hummed when he heard his communication alert going off. The signal showing it was a message coming from a rebel base somewhere. His finger hovered over the button for a moment, hesitating. After a moment or two the officer sighed as he pressed the button, "Lieutenant Draykon." He said flatly as his eyes focused on the nebula for a moment as he brought the shuttle to a complete stop. His eyes will then focus on the screen to see it is Ashlyna contacting him, "Ash.. Are you alright?" He asked wondering if there was something wrong.

Sitting at the terminal, Ashlyna was a little conflicted to say the least. Tycho said he had a mission coming up, but that was weeks ago. Was he back? Was he safe? She wasn't quite sure, yet at the same time. She sighed at the indecisiveness she was feeling. Tapping a finger to her lips, she eyed the 'call' command. Did she do it? Worst come to worst, he'd just get a recording from her, surely he was cautious enough to disable his transmitter while on missions. Right? Why was she making such a big deal about this anyways?

That settled it. Ashlyna pressed the 'call' command, as the terminal began to transmit to Tycho. Patiently, she waited for the signal to reach, her eyes watching the status message scroll across the screen. Finally, after several moments, the signal had reached it's target. As Tycho's image appeared before her, Ashlyna began speaking. "Hey Tycho! I was just checking up on you, wanted to see that you made it back from your mission and all. I'm doing fine, the people here have been nothing but good to me." What Ashlyna didn't realize however, was that she had muted herself by accident, as Tycho would now only see the padawan's lips moving, but no sound coming from them.

Tycho was honestly a bit surprised that Ashlyna was taking the time to call him. Not that it upset him at all. In fact it caused him to feel happy. Because the woman took the time to contact him. Showing she is a good friend. The criminal then noticed that as the jedi spoke that he can't hear her voice.

She must have accidentally muted herself during the process of calling him. The man put a hand to his ear to silently signal that he can't hear her, "Ashlyna I think you accidentally muted yourself. I can't hear you." He said quietly so no one would hear what the man was saying incase there was anyone near the woman.

Taking his eyes off the screen for a moment, the rebel officer set his terminal to be encrypted incase anyone decided to try to listen into their conversation. Though he doubted that there is anyone close enough to his location to listen in. Unless there is a unplanned Imperial patrol squad or something. But if that is the case his sensors will pick up on the fighters long before they spot him and therefore can move to a new location.

Ashlyna paused and looked as her comm settings as she heard Tycho inform her she couldn't be heard. It only took her a moment, but she finally found the problem and corrected it. Thankfully she was in the confines of Tycho's shuttle, clad in her sleeping wear. She realized another mistake she had made and set an encryption on her side as well. Now she felt stupid for doing this. "Can you hear me now?" She asked, crushing her hand over her head, pushing down her hair. "Sorry, I set up encryption. I can call back later if you want. I just wanted to see if you were alright." She shook her head, her face twitching in annoyance at her screw up. "I'm doing alright though. Things went better here than I expected." She hoped she hadn't put him and his crew at risk, though she was certain that Tycho wouldn't have answered her if it put him at risk.

Tycho nodded before giving her a verbal confirmation that he can hear her, "Yeah I can hear you now." he told her as the officer brought the shuttle he took from base to a complete stop.

"I am free to talk. There is no one else in the shuttle I took from base nor anywhere where people can listen in anyways." The officer told the jedi. The man paused hesitating on answering her, "Yeah I am alright. Got done with the mission now waiting for the next one." He told Ashlyna after a moment or two of hesitation. The criminal then managed to smile, "I am glad you are alright Ash. I was worried that there was something wrong going on that prompted you to call me." He admitted trying to drag the conversation away from talking about him. He wanted to know what was going on where she is, "So I take it you are doing the jedi training you were talking about?" He asked leaning back in the pilot seat and putting his feet up on top of the console.

Ashlyna was relieved to her that everything had gone well for Tycho and his crew as she pulled up the chair so she could sit in front of the projector. "Well that's good to hear. Training has been going pretty well. I have something to show you once I get back too." She smiled, tapping the end of her nose. "I thought you only had the one mission to attend to? Though, I know how your work is. You always seem to be doing something. Guess saving the galaxy isn't easy right?" She postulated, leaning back in her chair and pulling her legs up against her body. She was relived to know his was safe, but at the same time she worried about how much longer he could keep doing this to himself. The stress of battle took its toll on everyone, and no matter how arrogant Tycho was, he too had a limit. But Ashlyna didn't feel like starting that conversation again. She had missed him after all. She decided instead to talk about what she had been doing in his absence. "But I met another jedi here, Nikka. She's been teaching me for the past few days. Alot of philosophical stuff on the force and what not. It's a little confusing honestly."

Tycho smiled as he listened to Ashlyna, "I look forward to seeing what it is you have learned. I am sure Calath will enjoy it as well." He told her before the officer's smile vanished. The man wondered just for how much longer he can keep up with the whole being a soldier gig. There is no telling when he will break. After Denon it certainly feels like it might not be much longer unless he found a way to relight the spark or a way to give the Empire a major headache. Taking a deep breath he noticed that he was not looking at the screen, "No. It isn't easy. It is becoming increasingly difficult Ash." He admited as Tycho pinched the bridge of his nose with a light shaky sigh escaping his lips.

Looking back to the screen the criminal forced himself to smile, "I imagine anything and everything that has to do with the force is confusing." He said with a small laugh, "I wouldn't last three minutes before I hear my brain cells frying from too much confusion."

Ashlyna frowned, seeing there was something that was bothering Tycho. She had seen him after missions, typically there was a sign of relief on his features, some hint that he was glad to be rid of the assignment. But that wasn't the case here. Something had happened, and it was still on his mind. She frowned a bit at that, she'd have to ask him about it once she got back. The fake smile he put on was almost as bad. "Oh, it's really not that bad. It's like...opening yourself up to thinking more openly." She said, trying to downplay the complexity of the Force. "I just can't wait to show you what I've learned." She smiled, excited to put her new healing skills to use.
