DESCRIPTION​

The Skyscythe is a high-powered repulsorcraft which was originally manufactured by the Incom Corporation, of X-Wing fame. Swoops differ from standard jumpspeeders by having extremely powerful engines and high service ceilings; in effect, they are one-being airspeeders, stripped down to an engine, a set of controls and a seat. They are fast, require skill to effectively control and are extremely dangerous, and the Skyscythe is no exception to any of these criteria.

The Skyscythe is 4.5 meters in length, with space for a pilot and up to 20 kilograms of cargo. It is armed, equipped with a pair of light blaster cannons, and can reach a maximum altitude of 700 meters. Like most swoops, Skyscythes do not possess any safety harnesses or mechanical limiters for maneuverability or engine power; it is possible to push the machine until it breaks, and it takes a skilled pilot to determine just where the limits are without crossing them catastrophically.

Swoops like the Skyscythe are popular with fringers and outlaws, and are used as both personal transportation and combat craft.

LEGALITY​

Legal. Skyscythe V-132s are civilian models, and are unrestricted on most worlds. They will get the attention of most authorities regardless, however.
