The Syndicate slave ship Ossiferous was a mostly flat vessel painted a light shade of green; which mean it blended in quite well with the grassy plains that made up Sullust's moon Sulon. In fact, if one did not know it was a slaving ship, one could easily get the impression that this ship was nothing more than the mining ship that its outer appearance suggested; there were men loading up cargo into the hold and numerous beings held pickaxes, crowbars, and explosives; all common mining equipment.
But Drow knew the truth.
His contacts had provided him with the name and look of the ship so he knew what to look for. The miners? Nothing more than glorified thugs brought in to keep order amongst their slaves. The instruments they carried? Nonlethal weapons and shock tactics designed to keep their subjugated population in line. And the mining ship itself was chosen no doubt because it looked innocuous enough to avoid inspection but its ample cargo hold allowed plenty of sentient cargo to be stored there...as long as you were morally bankrupt enough to put human beings in boxes.
And these slavers certainly were that.
It was hard finding cover in a grassy plain but Drow had found a small cluster of hills nearby that worked well enough to conceal him and his travelling partner Zad. The Sector Ranger and he had come to this moon ostensibly to stop slavers. That was priority number one. But there were two more purposes to this mission. The second was to make this attack look like it had come from the Sith; thereby creating a division between the two evil factions. Thirdly was to strip this ship down of its shield generator and laser cannons and bring them back to the Jedi Temple on Yavin to be integrated into its defense grid system. Zad didn't exactly know the fine details of that last part but he had agreed to let the Ishi Tib Jedi Master strip the ship down of those components during their first meeting. For his part, that same Ishi Tib Jedi Master was dressed completely in black; with head wraps to further obscure his identity. His face was so covered that one couldn't even tell he was an Ishi Tib. In his opinion, he nailed this costuming job; he looked very Sith-y and the red lightsaber at his belt would surely help sell the illusion further.
"Alright, I can start approaching them if you want to use the repeater to thin out the crowd outside. Once they're dealt with, we can enter the ship, kill any who are left, and free the slaves. But let's make sure to wait until they finish loading the last of the boxes into the hold before we strike. Don't want any slaves caught in the crossfire." Drow told Zad his plan, gesturing to a repeater that Drow had in his posession after a previous adventure. He was fine lending it to Zad; he trusted the man's aim and he felt it'd be a powerful weapon to make this mission easier. But he was also curious to hear the Human's thoughts on the plan.
