Slum City Circuit

-Racing-
Just a system of dice used, credit going to @Darasuum for its' creation and implementation on Burning Credits and Rust, and to add a fun little challenge to the dice! There is a 48-Hour posting limit as well.

Everyone at the start of the race begins at the starting line with their own airspeeder/swoop, please link down below. Note: since this is both a swoop and speeder race, there are no advantages to using either vehicle. In the first post when the race begins roll a single D20. The person with the highest roll that turn takes the lead. The person with the lowest roll is last. Each turn each racer rolls a single D20 after deciding what type of action they want to take. If you do not post within 48 hours of each round beginning you will immediatly be considered last place. Missing two rounds and you'll be considered as dropping out of the race.

-Actions to take-
Fly: You're here to race after all so naturally that's what you want to do. Roll a d20. This decides your placement. On a roll of 15 or higher you're in the lead (except by those with natural 20) and if you roll a 5 or lower your bringing up the tail end. Everything else is somewhere in between.

Harass: Only an option after your first roll, you have chosen to play dirty. Whether its shooting at your competition's speeder or throwing a milkshake on their windshield you've decided that the best way to win is to mess with them.
  • When choosing to harass you are not able accelerate so your speeder remains at the same "speed" using its last Fly roll to maintain how fast its going.
  • You can only "Harass" those that have a fly roll within 5 points in either direction. (I.E. John is flying at a speed of 11 and chooses to shoot out the tail light of the speeder ahead that rolled a 14 last round since he can't shoot the speeder in the lead that rolled a 18)

-Harass table-

  • 20: Critical success: see below
  • 18-19 Success: Your plan works. You force your opponent to lose speed by 1
  • 10-17 No affect: you shoot alright, but you're just making the air hot at this point. Nothing else really happens.
  • 2-9 Backfire: You aren't very good at this sort of thing and you have to slow down (losing speed by 1)
  • 1 Critical fail: see below

The above blurbs are just examples. Feel free to write out your own wacky successes and failures however you want.

I Rolled a Critical!
Rolling a natural 20
  • (Flying) Not only are you in the lead, you get a +1 roll to your next roll. If you finish the race with a natural 20 you overcome everyone else (unless they also have a natural 20) and finish first.
  • (Harassing)You're a crackshot. If they are ahead of you they drop to one speed slower than you. People who rolled a natural 20 for flying win by default and avoid getting hit despite your skill. (this is a race after all)

Rolling a natural 1
  • (Flying) At the very least your vehicle sputters and begins to fall. Maybe you can walk away from an inevitable crash but your vehicle won't. At least all the other partiers and racers will enjoy the violent display. You are out of the race.
  • (Harassing) Your blaster jams, you weren't looking where you were driving, your crappy vehicle's airbag randomly deploys. Whatever the case, your attempted offense forces you to pay the price and now you are out of the race.

Questions?
Yes, please ask them if you need any clarification. This is still mostly new stuff, and we're here to have fun!

Once introductions are out of the way(and any attitude is given), I'm going to use this post to go ahead and put up Myrna's placement dice to see how far the ol' gal gets.

For reference, this is the bike she'll be using:

Link. Hey! Listen!

Gentlemen, get ready to start your engines!

Edit to add: She's dead last. XD Well, this is interesting already!
