Cuyan knew that for the Mandalorians to stand a chance against their enemies, they would need credits and gear. He had gathered a pair of like-minded soldiers for the task of getting a few better weapons. Word had spread of a dangerous, highly illegal weapon that was making the rounds as a brutal alternative to blasters. It sounded like a great tool for the Mandalorians to use against their enemies. Clan Ordo needed him to be stronger. Mandalore needed all of them to be stronger. Death would have to be postponed until after his brothers were equipped.

"Narudar, besbe'trayce linibar waadas." He said as they quietly approached a factory on the outskirts of the Taris capital city. "Ra'mor!"

The factory in question was an armored vehicle production plant that sold equipment to the Imperials. It was by no means a large, important mark to hit but it would have credits and good parts to sell. That's what the Mandalorians needed to get their gear. Bigger marks would come, but you had to start small or die without honor. Cuyan welcomed death, but wanted to be honored among the Manda when it came. Being lost terrified the suicidal Mandalorian into an extreme sense of duty.

A dozen or so armed guards were likely in or around the factory. It would be impossible to know until they dove into battle and got inside. Cuyan figured three Mandalorians could handle some hired guards easily enough. He had left his Technical parked a block away for their escape and to make it easier to haul away parts. Plus it had a nice blaster cannon for keeping law at bay until they got off world. First they had to hit this factory successfully though.

Wyatt began to pick up speed at the behest of the other Mandalorian pressing forward. So much for a subtle delivery that it was time to roll a weapons facility or whatever Wyatt had been told it was he thought while reaching for his back. Removing the blaster carbine and releasing the folding stock while the sling rotated in to place, he wasn't a fan of this sort of work but sometimes the reward is worth the risk. The likely hood of getting caught with a weapon after storming a place of business and sensitive items, versus talking your way out of some contraband items on planet Wyatt was much more comfortable with the former.

Moving to the loading bay's, he could see that one of the three docks was open and with some finesse one could get up and situated without being noticed. Which is what Wyatt did, moving in to position and holding for a signal or to follow someone else in. The tension was building within him as he settled his mind, hoping this would go like the last few of these jobs he'd been apart of back in the day.

Leandros was in his traditional battle vestments this day. He carried his usual armaments with him. Nothing was too unusual about what he was geared with – after all, this was what he thought was the most effective loadout was. Today, he was helping two of his peers in their mission; the quest to obtain disruptor weapons. These were highly volatile and deadly weapons whose fearsome reputation would give the bearer a Death Mark in Imperial space. That kind of reputation was what he needed when going against their foes. The sweet irony of killing Imperials with proscribed technology had a poetic ring to it.

Their target for the raid was a vehicle factory on the Imperial world of Taris. While not particularly worthy, anything that hurt the Imperial war machine was an acceptable target. This was the first step on a long road to highly illegal guns. It was a necessary distraction. In his heart he had no fear, for he knew his god was here.

Cuyan, the one leading the operation, spoke to the group as the stalked towards the factory. They remained hidden among the environment, though that fortune would not last forward. Leandros spoke up after his comrade, his voice quiet, but rough, ”Miak mhi enteyor nynir ures buskayu'agr, vod.” He clutched his rifle tighter, his breathing increasing as the moment of attack drew near.

They neared a set of loading bays on the fringe of the factory. Their gods smiled down on them, for one of the bays was open and unguarded – or so he thought. Leandros activated his jump boots, leaping up to where Wyatt was. Rather than wait patiently for a signal or anything fancy, Leandros simply stormed in, his footsteps ringing heavy on the metal bay floor.

A few meters in, a lone Imperial factory worker stood, his back to the outside, checking off a manifest of newly-arrived goods. He failed to turn in time to see Leandros jam his carbine into the man’s soft stomach and pull the trigger. A look of horror frozen on his face, the man slowly slid to the ground, gasping for air as he did.

”Par Kad Ha'rangir!”

His clan had a reputation to uphold. Blood and violence!

Things were instantly hot as the trio made their move. Thus was the Mandalorian way. Cuyan followed behind Leandros quickly, activating his own jump boots shortly after. His partner seemed more focus on killing workers than killing security, but lucky for him Cuyan was keeping an eye open. As the ambitious Solus warrior killed the worker, a guard on a catwalk took notice of the commotion and turned to fire his own weapon on the Mandalorians. It wouldn't get that far, at least no dangerously so. A frantic shot escaped from the guard as Cuyan's own shots rained upon him.

"Die, scum!" He yelled at the guard who stopped his attack to scurry to cover from the repeater fire.

Cuyan marked the guard and locked him to cover. He figured one of his partners could flank and finish the job now that he had covered them in the first place. There would be more guards as well so they had to dispatch this one quickly and move in before they got overwhelmed by guards and the law. It would be simple enough to grab some parts and get lost via the vehicle, at least Cuyan hoped he wouldn't die in some crappy factory.

With the other two barging in and shooting before he knew it, Wyatt set his reservations aside for now. Afterall this is a vehicle production plant that supplies the Imperials or so he had been told, and now was not the time to be having questions on morality. As the blaster fire began and an unsuspecting worker slumped to the floor, the mandalorian that was not of Clan Solus took aim at a guard up on a catwalk. Pinning him behind the metal half height railing as the blaster bolts cracked into the wall behind him, dispersing the energy in quick succession.

It was his turn to use the jump boots, because if this security person got word out of an attack on an arms facility. There was no guaranteeing the local garrison of imperials or local police wouldn’t come and complicate things further. Wyatt moved from under the catwalk and activated his boots which brought him vertical much quicker than he expected, catching himself mildly gracefully upon landing and raising his carbine. Now with the guard in direct line of sight he could see the Imperial designed rifle in the mans hands and any sign of remorse for the mans life was gone as Wyatt squeezed the trigger three times in to the crouched mans center.

Beeeew Beeeew Beeeew

The shots connected with our issue as the squatting man rocked backwards and sprawled out with a thud. Moving his weapon from high ready to low ready, Wyatt was still primed for retaliation if another foe showed themself but for now he had a moment to check the mans body.

Searching quickly through pockets for an access card or some sort of keycard but only finding a wallet and candy bar. He shouted over the railing from a squat.

“HEY! Are we looking for anything or do we need anything to get to what we’re here for?”

He asked because there hadn’t been any indication either way on the trip. Typical Ordo, shoot first figure it out after mentality left him without surprise as he stood and began moving along the catwalk towards a set of stairs parallel to his location.

Leandros did not pay any mind to the guards dying around him. He knew that he was invincible until the moment his god had ordained would come. All those years ago on the snowy slope, he was given a vision. A vision of service to Kad Ha’rangir. A vision that his time would not come until he had found the Beast worthy enough to kill him in glorious battle. So, until that prophesied time had come, he figured things would just work out.

Looking up from his vengeful kill, Leandros watched Wyatt leap to the catwalks above, dispatching a guard with ruthless efficiency. He had not yet been in battle with this clansman, so it warmed his heart to see the man take to their task so heartily. He looked up to his comrade as he shouted from above, giving the man a listless shrug of his shoulders. They were here to steal expensive parts and get out, using the funds they would get from selling them to pay for the next phase of their mission. Why was this such a difficult concept to grasp?

As he looked at his clansman, Leandros failed to notice a third guard enter at the back of the room, where the loading bay connected to the factory proper. The man shouted in alarm at the sight of Mandalorian raiders and raised his rifle, firing a shot towards Leandros. Leandros reacted sluggishly to the threat, diving headlong behind a stack of crates that the factory worker rested in front of. Gods, he really ought to pay better attention to these things.

He gathered himself and kept to cover, checking to see if he had gotten shot or not. He hoped his peers with differing angles on the man would take him out before he decided to turn the crates into swiss cheese.

A new guard entered the fray and took aim once more at Leandros. It seemed Cuyan would spend a lot of this mission protecting this unobservant Mandalorian. Cuyan swung his rifle towards the incoming guard after Leandros dove for cover. Unfortunately for him, this gave the guard time to take good cover behind some machinery. A few shots rang out but never made contact with their new friend. Once more it might be up to the other partner to finish off this guard. A high angle would surely nullify the cover. If not, they'd get him eventually. A Mandalorian trio could surely handle some guards. He hoped. This was not the place to have an honorable death worthy of the Manda.

"Flank him!" He muttered to his partners as he kept pressure on to avoid pot shots or escape. "Then we take some part crates and go!"

Cuyan wanted to get out and move on to better things. Providing funds and weapons to fellow warriors would bring honor and opportunity. It would perhaps place him in a place to die with honor. That's what he truly desired. Death would be a release from the hell of life as long as it was honorable.

Wyatt scurried down the steps to the sight of a new aggressor who had a flank on the duo down below, stopping halfway down the steps. Wyatt raised his Shriek-Hawk and fired twice in succession with both going wide due to his unstable breathing; focusing and bracing on the railing he let a third bolt of yellow energy fly and he watched as it crackled singeing the ozone before slamming in to the mans shoulder blade and sending him sprawled out on the machinery he was using as cover. Taking a moment to get down the rest of the steps Wyatt called out to the other two.

"I think we're clear for now!"

He said while throwing his Shriek-Hawk over his shoulder causing the entire sling to rotate as it clapped against his back, these things were built to be abused and he was far from worried about it working as he moved towards a three tier shelf with boxes on it. Taking a moment to read the manifest tag his eyes flew across until finding the key words '-LOWER RECEIVERS' and he quickly snagged the box with both hands and began making for the door they came in.

"Hey check the ones on that shelf! I got a bunch of lower receivers, should be more good stuff."

Wyatt said as he passed Leandros and Cuyan. @Painus @Cazar

Leandros cursed several times as he was shot at, the bolts impacting around him. He really needed his allies to flank and eliminate the threat. Gods, how could he be so careless? This was a horrible first impression for the proud, battle-hardened Mandalorian. He peered around the crates he was taking cover behind just in time to see his clansman send three shots towards his foe, taking him out. Thank the gods that he was above and able to circumvent the man’s cover. Leandros had to be more careful in a place like this. Running in with reckless abandon was a surefire way to get oneself killed.

With a grunt, Leandros stood up from his cover and made sure that there were no more guards in the immediate area. Once certain, he watched Wyatt grab a box and begin moving out. Leandros follow suit, grabbing a random crate. He set it down and pried it open to see what was within only to be met with a bunch of repulsorlift coils, ion batteries, and other spare parts for repulsorcraft that could fetch a nice price on the market. He slid the box over towards the loading dock, keeping his rifle raised and ready in the event more guards decided that three dead was not enough. As he moved, he kept using his foot to slide the box along the floor, working his way to the way they came in.

It seemed they had scored some decent parts already so it was time to make their exit before they got stuck inside this dumb factory. Cuyan had parked the Technical nearby so they could drive off and get out quickly. Plus it made carrying this crap easier. He grabbed his own crate to follow in similar fashion to Leandros. They could make it to the doors pretty easily but the road between them and the vehicle would be a real fight. A fourth guard pushed open a door inside and saw the Mandalorians attempting to escape. He was not in much of a position to stop them, but he could be annoying with some trailing blaster fire. They would have to be careful about him but could likely not worry about finishing him off before fleeing.

"Oya! Slanar!", he shouted to his partners as he quickened his pace away from the guard inside.

Commotion came from the other side of the factory as blaster shots could be heard. One of the remaining guards mistook local law enforcement as the invaders and began firing. He was quickly killed by a pair of officers who then would move in to investigate the factory, but from the far side much too far to ever catch up to the Mandalorians. That guard failed miserably and paid for it. The last guard did not fail so poorly though.

"Stop right there!"
The sixth and final guard shouted from atop the very vehicle Cuyan had brought in.

An unfortunate truth was that the speeder had a blaster cannon on it and the guard found it. He was aiming directly at Cuyan and Leandros who would be pushing crates out the door. That thing could pack a punch and was Cuyan's trick up his sleeve for escaping. That may have backfired slightly. He was confident in his ability to shoot but was not sure if he would be quick enough to prevent the cannon from ripping them apart. For now he simply waited and hoped that their other friend could surprise the cannon enough to create an opening. Hopefully not an opening in his chest.

The other two made way past Wyatt and out the doors rather quickly as his initial quickened pace was slowed by the weight of the crate. Stopping just short of the doors and setting it down for a moments breathe was when an unprepared building security personnel arrived through the door his previously dispatched friends had used, and from behind him Wyatt caught a glimpse of another security staff member opening fire on some unseen assailants and being dispatched in quick succession.

Time was short and the bodies were numerous already, planetary police forces would be arriving any minute and the job was about done, but Wyatt knew this man had to be dealt with so only video footage remained of the attack. That is if the factory even had cameras installed, and he righted himself from setting the box down while drawing his blaster pistol from the thigh holster on his left side. Taking three quick shots as he dove because the security guard seemed to draw at the same time and fire in return, but as Wyatt stood from his dive he saw the smoking marks in the mans armor as he was slumped against the double doors that lead in to the factory.

Placing his helmet out of the loading bay door they'd come in from Wyatt noticed a rather unsettling scene as a building security member had made his way to the groups escape vehicle and had the main weapon pointed at his partners. The man didn't seem to notice Wyatt yet but he could also hear whomever was on the other side of the factory trying to get the doors open, so with a panic in his heart. Wyatt took a shot at the gunner only to have the bolt sail past and have the yellow energy of his blaster bolt slam against the building behind him, which caused the gusto in him to flounder for a moment as he instinctively ducked giving Leandros(@Painus) and Cuyan(@Cazar) the opening they so desperately needed.

Leandros continued to slide his crate of loot over, noticing another guard arrive at the rear where his fellows were already dead. He was too far to be a concern for now, so the Mandalorians kept going back towards the technical parked outside. This whole attack was going pretty well. The key word being “was,” since, once he arrived outside, he noticed a shift in their luck. A guard had found his way behind the turret of their technical and had the cannon aimed directly at the three Mandalorians. Wyatt fired valiantly at the man, but his shot sailed harmlessly by. The gods, it seemed, were not intent on granting their blessings to him today.

Leandros on the other hand, he was guided by Kad Ha’rangir. With a raise of his rifle, Leandros fired a single shot right as the man ducked. The bolt slammed square into his forehead, effectively turning his brain off like a light switch. The man crumpled and slumped off of the back of the technical, freeing up their escape. With a firm nod to his comrades, Leandros slung his rifle and lifted the crate up, heading towards the technical. They needed to get out of here, and quick. The authorities would close in at any moment.

The unfortunate placement of the last guard worked out better than Cuyan thought. He was well prepared to face the afterlife with a blaster cannon ripping his body to bits. His partners however actually managed to take the man down before their own cannon was used against them. Glorious death would have to wait for another time it seemed. The crumpled guard was now out of the way permanently but more trouble was definitely coming their way soon if they didn't go. Cuyan knew this was their chance.

"Someone man the cannon, let's get out of here." He shouted as he tossed his crate into the vehicle and jumped into the driver's seat.

Cuyan was not an ace pilot or driver by any means, but he could maneuver a speeder through the city. Once everyone jumped onto the speeder he would start up and push through some alleys to lose anyone that chased. He figured he could drive while the other two shot down and discouraged any followers. He would at least not smash into any walls. It would be a pretty basic path out as long as the others could handle any tails. Once they were clear of the city they could cruise to a pickup spot and head off. These parts would need to be sold somewhere like Bandomeer, outside Imperial space, so that they could launder them without being killed. Mandalore was one step closer to being ready to take on the Sith more directly.

Wyatt picked up his box as the doors behind him flung open to a confused planetary police force, and with a handful of shouts Wyatt had already made out the bay door and in an attempt to cover more ground quickly he threw the crate under one arm momentarily. Using his free hand he reached over and ignited his jump boots from his wrist control panel as he took the final short step off of the loading platform they sprung to life, sending him in a high arc for a minute but his estimate had been a little overdrawn as he came rocketing down in the bed of the technical with a crash.

Sitting up with an audible groan from under his helmet he shoved the crate from under his arm over next to the others and sat up. Pulling himself vertical with the help of the mounted cannon he muttered over the comm channel.

"I'll keep any officers or concerned citizens off of our tail, just get us out of here!"

Wyatt yelled as he thumbed the weapons firing switch unloading a hail of bolts in the direction of the door they'd exited in an attempt to dissuade any officers from coming out. He would then watch their rear as they sped down alleys and streets removing any tails if they were picked up. @Cazar @Painus

The death of the final guard out of the way, Leandros hustled to the speeder with his crate. Tossing the thing in the back, he clambered up and in, raising his rifle to help defend the speeder from the front while his comrade Wyatt watched the rear. The authorities would be delayed in catching them, as they had quite a bit of carnage to sort through themselves. They never got a glance at who had performed the raid for more than a split second, since Wyatt hosed the loading dock with bolts to discourage their interference.

The speeder careened through alleyways, getting them far, far away from the factory. After a little while, they had arrived at the rendezvous spot where they were to be picked up. Loading up the crates did not take long now that the pressure of being shot was gone, and in short order the trio were ready to go on and continue the next part of their grand plan.
