1. What is going to happen in your plot?
Landa is heading to Dathomir as she has heard rumors of dark side magik there. She focuses on manipulation and dark side powers so this is perfect for her. She will take other interested Exiles with her to bring a good representation to the witches. After earning their respect and proving themselves they will learn some of the magik, specifically Teleport Force Power.

2. What other players will be a part of this?

Doing sign ups, but only 2 others plus me.

3. Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?

Dathomir of course!

4. Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.

  • Three exiles arrive on Dathomir to seek the knowledge of the Witches but land in a male city instead. They are challenged to fight. This is where they learn one magik ability is to teleport.
  • The group after fighting and learning where to find the witches speaks to the coven. They are denied teachings until they can prove they are worthy. The Grand Matron reanimates a rancor in a pit for them to fight. It is smaller and weaker than usual because it is bones moved by magik but is still a tough fight, deadly. Not impossible though.
  • After defeating the Rancor (I hope) the trio will have a thread being taught/practicing Teleport magik.

5. What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?

To learn Teleport and improve other force skills along the way through practice and discussion with witches.

6. Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.

It would be great to get someone to DM the Rancor battle.

Hey @Bauren! I have a couple of comments.
  • Participants: We need an actual list of who is going to be part of the plot. This helps us determine the number of threads that might be needed. Specifically for this plot, if male characters are involved that will drastically change things. The witches would almost certainly would not interact with any males.
  • The Grand Matron: There can be no interaction with the Grand Matron. However, it can be clan matriarch
  • Threads: The Witches guard this particular skill incredibly closely. It is extraordinarily rare for them to teach it to outsiders. There has to be a very compelling reason for the witches to teach it. Fighting an undead rancor is not a compelling enough reason.

Participants makes sense, yeah. Forgot about that tiny detail. My girl is good to go at least I'll find a girl squad.

Clan leader is fine doesn't really matter who we go through just tossed her in from the lore on the ability.

What doesn't make sense and I disagree with is that last bit. The approved Lore for the Teleport force power shows Jedi Exile affiliation and a non-Dathomir Witch listed as a current user. If they don't have a plot to get it why does me doing a plot for it have to be extremely difficult when they just have it from bio? Seems odd to approve a lore for an ability, let it be tied to use, then say we have to do extreme threads to get it when someone else has it. Can I just learn it from the Exile who knows it and call it a day?

Let me try to clear this up a bit. Rhea (Malon's character) is in the process of acquiring the ability through a plot. It is not an ability she currently possesses. The affiliation section is to demonstrate who has/could learn this particular skill in the Force. No PC currently can use this Force ability.

You could possibly learn the ability from another Exile PC, but as stated above, none currently know it. Force Teleport (as indicated in the write up and confirmed by the staff) can only be 'acquired' through a plot. At this point, that plot must involves the witches. No NPC Exiles could just teach the ability. Please let me know if you are going to make changes or not.

I am unsure what changes to make. How many threads should it be and what does it take to convince them?

This is likely something that could be done in 3 to 4 threads. Our policy is to not make specific suggestions on the content of plots. The only suggestion I can give is the witches guard this closely, so there needs to be a compelling reason for them to teach this ability to an outsider. Not impossible to convince them but difficult.
