I recently made an indie character. This one, to be exact. I'm really quite pleased with him. And with the way I ended his backstory, his entrance into the wider world of the RP would more or less be... now-ish.

Thing is though, due to how I ended his backstory, he and his NPC sidekick now have no direction. So, would anyone be willing to perhaps work on something to do with them? Or, perhaps, point me in a good direction to go?

Your character is awesome. Really well written. I am thinking of making a Wookiee (maybe a Senator, maybe a Smuggler, not sure yet exactly). Your guy is fluent in different languages, presumably you could say he knows Shyriiwook? You could be my guys pilot and translator.

he looks good @Oncaro idk if you stated it anywhere but what is his profession?

in personality you say he was previously a playboy, arrogant and general "lizard-douche" and is now more humble and all round "decent-reptile-guy". i would perhaps make him more decent than he previously was but still kind of a jerk. he's a work in progress and is still learning that he doesn't hold all the answers and understanding he once thought he did. your character is in the process of discovering the full scope of the galaxy and what it has to offer if he isn't such a terrible person and is surprised by it as time goes on.

personnally all my character started out one way. for a few weeks and even a month they continued on that path but as rps go on they develop organically in ways i couldn't have forseen in the character creation process. so my advice is make his current personality not a stalwart or fixed point of view but instead in a period of transition and adjustment. that in itself is a conflict that makes for a good story and character dynamic. could he revert back to being a total douche-raptor? potentially. could he become a philanthropist for communities in the galaxy? absolutely. it's all up to you.

He doesn't have a profession right now; by this point he and Cienna have only recently gotten back into the wider Galaxy and don't know what to do. They just know they need money.

And while I agree with most of what you say, Vaas' evolution to a more humble individual occurred over a period of five years in frankly horrid conditions, and it was mostly Cienna's influence that helped him along. Him still being a jerk I don't think would fit, but he might lapse back into it at some point down the road; when he acts rudely, he mostly does it in his native tongue, which not many would know.

At most, right now him being a jerk to people would probably be him being a polite snarker, but for all I know he could go back to how he was later on. 'Tis all up in the air.
