Social groups?

Would it be possible for this site to have Social groups? You know, little groups for ooc dicussion and places for Independent factions to host everything. Just a thought as I have seen other forums who have had social groups and they have worked out fine. Don't want to post the links as I don't want to get banned xD But if an admin would like to see I will post them
