(SoF p1) Prison Break

Three key prisoners were the target, not for assassination but rather for rescue. The sorceress realized that if the Gran would take any attempts at an alliance seriously, he needed to be reassured of her full commitment at helping the Red Skulls. What better way of persuasion than presenting a gift? So it was under the concealment of night skies and just a sliver of pale moonlight that Arianna and her operatives had managed to sneak near the transporting convoy. Kessel was an interesting world and housed numerous prisoners though these three lucky souls were being transported from one facility to another.

Obtaining the coordinates from her previous rendezvous with a former Red Skull agent, Arianna had managed to track down these associates and hoped that her efforts this evening would be enough to please Aks-Ree. The sorceress was accompanied by her companion Arnen as well as two Imperial agents, both of whom were trained in the arts of sniping. A prison train soon arrived into the ports, five guards total dis-embarking along with three hooded figures with full covers around their heads.

Waiting for them was an armored convoy, three large trucks with turrets and more reinforcements en route. Currently about 50 meters away, she had positioned her agents to the opposite side of the valley that overlooked the prison transfer while the two Sith were hidden behind another vacant truck, about 10 meters from the nearest soldier on watch.

She whispered to Arnen, "Give the signal when you feel its time..."

[Arnen Elgernoth]

Arnen gave the newly minted Sith Crusader a curt nod, from behind his own pair of binoculars. "We're not equipped to deal with those armored trucks, at least, from a distance. We're better off moving up, leaving our snipers in this position, and taking those turrets out ourselves, while they pin the guards on the ground down with sniper fire," he said, before stepping back, and preparing himself for a Force Jump. He aimed to launch himself onto the top of one of the trucks and quickly dispatch a turret by slicing quickly through the barrel, but first, would take the time to gauge trajectory, and line himself up.

Arianna shook her head at Arnen's suggestion, "Correct but we do not need to engage those turrets at all, we will snatch our targets before the reinforcements arrive.." She nodded and signaled via comm-link as two sniper fire bolts rang forth and smashed against the skulls of two prison guards. Corpses crumpled to the ground and that was the Crusader's signal to move; utilizing force speed she ignited her red lightsaber and attempted to stab one guard in the back. However, her movements were noticed by the other guard across from him as he turned to face the direction of the sniper fire. "Oy!" He yelled, raising up his blaster rifle and shooting two bolts towards the red haired sorceress. Arianna reacted immediately, dodging one but the other hit her squarely in the armored shoulder. The bolt damaging duranium alloy pauldron but heat and pain seeping inwards to her flesh as she let out a shriek before stumbling backwards several feet. Lightsaber held defensively to ward off against the incoming volley of fire she was anticipating.

[Arnen Elgernoth]

Arnen leapt as Arianna sped forward, but in doing so, was spotted by the second guard, and was shot square in the chestplate as he came down. The bolt burned deeply, and was sufficient enough for any lesser man to be out of the fight, completely, but Arnen powered through it, despite dropping his one lightsaber in the process. Drawing his second lightsaber, he charged, and struck him down with a broad stroke, across his chest, inflicting a fatal wound on his chest, and a subsequent Force Push blowing him backwards into Guard 1, blowing them backward, and killing them both as they slammed into the side of a landspeeder. Quickly, he regained his lightsaber, and got back to back with Arianna, ready to take on all sides, if it came to it.

Arianna watched at Arnen's attack connected, sending two guards smashing into each other and then on the path of a landspeeder. Their bodies disintegrated by the vehicle's turbines, flesh and bone materialized together and sprayed outwards. The last guard brought his rifle upwards, however as his aim was towards Arnen's back he was unable to get a good glimpse at the Crusader. Arianna utilizing the force at her back, closed the melee gap within seconds and thrust her red saber forwards into his belly. A quick, painless end as his body crumpled over at her feet. Opposition defeated, she turned to Arnen for a moment before to the three men grabbed in shackles and with hoods over their heads.

Light-saber deactivated as she brought a prisoner key and removed the cuffs that held them together. Cheerful, they slipped their fingers upwards and removed the veils off their heads themselves. "Who the kark are you?!" One demanded, and though grateful they had been set free still had no idea who Arianna or Arnen were.

A small, sinister smile came to the sorceress' lips. "Care to fill them in Arnen.."

[Arnen Elgernoth]

Arnen relaxed as soon as he saw no more guards in the area, and turned, to see Arianna removing the cuffs and veils from the prisoners. He disengaged his lightsabers, and slipped them back into his sleeves, before he approached the one who so rudely asked who they were, growling under his breath, still reeling from the shot he took to the chest-plate. "I am Acolyte Arnen Elgernoth, this is Crusader Arianna Marris, of the true Empire. We're friends of the Red Skull Gang, and have come to free you. Speak to your saviors with more respect, or you'll experience a worse outcome than imprisonment," he spoke, with a venomous tone. Just because they were playing the good guys in this scenario, they should not be confused for Jedi in flowing robes.

"Come with us. We've all got places to be," he said, before turning back toward the position of the snipers, and held up a hand, rotating his wrist, as if to say 'wrap it up'. They would quickly pack up and make their way back to their rendezvous point.

Arianna chuckled as she looked upon the three, all of them seemingly confused with this new turn of events however there honestly wasn't much to consider. It was a gift of her gratitude, regardless of whether it would have alternate motives; these men were shackled for life and now they received a new permit on terror. Nodding, she paced near them as her green eyes examined their constitution. "A little sickly from being in confines too long, I do hope you're worth all this trouble. "Let's go, we have a long journey ahead of us."

Placing a signal to the Light Freighter, ship descended down from orbit as soon as she saw the second prison train turning a corner through the mountain. "Seems we'll be exiting right on schedule.. Let's go Arnen". She stated, motioning for the three soldiers to follow up into the ramp as they would make their exit.
