Prakith, Deep Core

The trip had been mostly uneventful, mostly spent studying the information Katara had shared on their destination with her companions to better prepare them for whatever surprises Prakith had to offer. The dossier had been limited, for the fact of the matter was that even the most learned of Sith historians had little to share with regards to the ancient world. Legends and rumors were all they had to go by. Stories that spoke of the giants that once called the planet home. What did concern her was the fact that some stories used the term metaphorically, while others seemed to be leaning towards a more literal interpretation. Which was why she had opted to bring two Sith with her, better to come prepared for the worst, rather than be caught out by it.

As the ship touched down, a hundred feet or so from the temple that had at one time or another played home to Jedi and Sith alike, she could feel the Force in the very air. The Force pulsed here, calling her in, but also warning her to flee. Pressing a button to activate the ship's comms, she sent a message to the others, who like her had spent much of the flight in their own private suites aboard the yacht.

"We are here."

The simple message was all they needed, if they even needed that. They would have sensed their arrival just as she had, and were likely ready to begin. Clipping on her blades to the waist of her outfit, she began making her way to the ship's ramp, descending onto the planet's surface, where she waited for her companions.

Brenna Ylva was deep in meditation aboard the transport ship that would take them to the planet Prakith. She always meditated in preparation for any trial or battle. Her mother taught her that keeping one's mind focused and clear was essential to a successful Sith.

The young woman could sense the old temple as they neared it. An odd sensation of awe, excitement and dread sank into the pit of her stomach and squirmed there like so many snakes wriggling and writhing. She focused on peaceful memories and willed the snakes to quiet.

So intent within herself was Brenna that she did not even notice when the ship carrying her to the temple touched down on solid ground. She was jarred from her meditation when the Sith woman leading this expedition spoke over the overhead comms and Brenna glared sullenly at the speaker as of the woman herself was up there.

Collecting herself, Brenna breezed through the ship and exited without a word to anyone. Her eyes took in the scarred landscape of Prakith - all rocky crags and barren mountains - before resting on the ancient temple before her. The feeling of peace and purpose suffused her body and soul.

The opportunity to explore Prakith was one that Thel took on with enthusiasm. A world that was home to ancient ruins. A world shrouded in mystery and surrounded by legends. He had heard stories of the Prakith Cathedral. They were fascinating.

He also had other motivations for joining the expedition. It seemed reasonable to assume that such a world might be home to objects of interest. Some which could potentially be of value to certain collectors…

Thel spent the journey resting and preparing in his quarters. As soon as the ship came close to the planet, he could sense the force emanating from it. Power. He had chosen to wear his black cloak and robes. No need for anything extravagant.

The ship’s descent was swift. Striding down the ship’s ramp, he got a first proper look at his fellow Sith. An Annfyn. Well dressed. Two lightsabers hanging from her waist. The other appeared to be human. Bluish eyes. Brown hair. Lithe.

Thel took a moment to take in the surroundings. A decayed structure. It looked like a temple. Even at a distance it was obvious that the structure had fallen into disrepair a long time ago. The planet’s desolate and rocky landscape stretched out to the horizon.
