"All systems go sir! You are greenlight for takeoff."

Darix smiled as he made the final adjustments to the training pod. He had spent hours before hand within the pit of his fighter, Araels Wrath, making customizations to the displays and control modules to perfectly emulate the ship he had grown to love so dearly. This would ensure the most accurate possible simulation exercise. An important factor when the simulations difficulty decided to turn up the heat on him in the midst of combat.
He had set the simulation to behave like a pyramid. Starting off with enemies at a meager level of skill, that increased wave after wave until he faced foes equal to that of the GA's most experienced pilots.

"Very well, Begin simulation."

No sooner had he uttered the words the galaxy materialised before him in the brilliant high definition display of the training pods viewscreen. He gently guided the joystick left, then right, getting himself comfortable with any latency or differences in the ships performance that he may have overlooked. To his surprise the training pod was a mirror of Araels Wrath, from the targeting systems down to the roar of the engines behind him.
A series of high pitched alarms sounded and his targeting computer began to file through pages of information detailing the location and specifications of an enemy ship that had moved within range.
A smile crept upon his face as he allowed the force to flow through him. He emptied himself of all thought, all feeling. Becoming completely devoid of himself allowing the force to overtake him entirely. Like water filling a glass it poured into him, and he inhaled it.
He spun Araels Wrath into a sharp barrel roll and punched the thrusters. The ship roared with power and the force of the acceleration forced his back to the pilots chair, as he maneuvered to engage his target.

"Enemy spacecraft, this is Jedi Master Darix Talohn, you are in Galactic Alliance airspace. Disengange thrusters and weapons systems and await further instructions or I will be forced to engage."

It was Sigur’s first time visiting the Jedi’s mobile vessel the Light of the Force. He had visited the Jedi ship: the Will of the Force many times as before it succumbed to the surprise attack made by the Sith a little over a year ago. Nevertheless, the tour he received was quite impressive, from training facilities to the private quarters, he was shown all. But last on the list of the tour was the battle simulator. He stood on the observation deck staring at the holo-projectors as they reflect what was happening inside the advance facility.

He watched as Jedi Master Diarx Talohn begun his simulation, a space battle. Sigur caught interest. He had not flown a ship in ages, he preferred to someone else do it or even a droid when they were available. He was also one that preferred to have his feet firmly on the ground. Though Sigur, was not as rambunctious as he was in his younger years, he still had a streak in which he would crave for a bit of a thrill. And well, as for a thrill such as participating in a battle simulation, was something that sounds desirable for the moment. He believed a nice break from the tour around the ship would be called for, he had had been here for the past seven hours sitting in meetings and observing demonstrations.

He walked over to a knight and suggested he would join Master Talohn in the battle simulation. The Knight obliged and assisted the Grandmaster in where he needed to go. Entering inside the pod, the controls came to life, his view screen flashed and he was now observing what the other Jedi was involved with. “This is Master Vainikainen, rogue two-“ the ship’s data flashed on a screen before him, he readjusted his headset, as he read, continuing his check in, “…Rogue one, what’s the status of the vessel?” he asked referring to the enemy ship as more information filtered in.

Jedi Padawan Corren Tal

Corren Tal, among his tours of the Temples, and training facilities that he and his new Master Esc'alli'elia have been seeing, the space simulator caught Corren's eye. Not for its electronic prowess (although that did interest him greatly), but for its utility. With permission from his Master, he had seen to it he was present for the next simulation. He had seen some other Jedi slip into the pods before him, and mimicked their graceful entry to the pods.

Corren sat, eyeing his surrounds carefully. He had spent hours and hours scouring schematics and instructions and flight manuals for these types of machines before. Yet had never piloted a ship, and never been in a simulator before. Nonetheless, Corren sat in, and flipped a few switches. The pod lit up, and the view screen opened up. Knowing protocol for these things, as he had read in an article in the archives, he searched for his call sign. Just above the instrument panels, Corren could see: Rogue Three.

Instincively, his tendrils flashed, Nervous anxiety. Taking a deep breath to compose himself, he then spoke into the commlink. "Rogue three, reporting in."

He had a theoretical knowledge of flying, formations, and tactics but zero experience. Calming himself a little more, Corren took control of the joystick, moving his standard issue Jedi star fighter into position along the port side of Jedi Master Darix Talohn.

Slowly but surely the simulation got underway. Jedi Masters Darix Talohn and Sigur Vainikainen and Padawan Tal were at the front of it. He had only met the recently appointed Grandmaster, while the other two Jedi were unknown to the newbie pilot. Still he pushed a button on the console, adjusted his bandanna and headphones and watched as the world changed and he was suddenly a starfighter pilot. Moving the joystick a little to the right he remained serious, before moving it then left, bringing his fighter in position.

"Padawan Armstrong, Rogue Four, reporting in." All the already present Jedi could hear as another fighter joined them. Another Jedi saw fit to try out the simulator, for his piloting skills weren't nearly as good as his lightsaber skills. After entering the pod he looked forward to his return on the 'Light of the Force' and trying out this simulator. For the blond young man wanted to try and improve his piloting skills.

And jumping right in to the fire and practicing was the best way to do it. Especially if that 'fire' would not kill but instead teach you. Holding the joystick Guhoo was fully aware that this was a simulation and that at any given moment things could get rough. After all the purpose of this mission was to train pilots, so the man focused. He focused and allowed the force to run through him, he focused on the words of master Talohn and on the world around him. It was time to go to work...

Seated inside the confines of his simulator, Jedi Knight Moridin Zerga wiggled his fingers to loosen them up before reaching out to flick the starter switches of his craft's engines. As various cockpit lights and monitors came to life all around him, he did a quick check of the various systems. As the various displays came to life, projecting the view of a vast starfield, Moridin took a second to check on his designation and smiled as he mumbled to himself, "All engines at full power, Rogue Five all green."

He gently pushed the the craft all the way up to nearly its maximum velocity before throttling back to almost bring the nimble little craft to a stand still. He tried a few more simple maneuvers as he get himself accustomed to the simulator and then pushed his throttle to full, racing away after the other crafts participating in the simulation.

As he came closer to the other crafts he opened himself up fully to the Force, letting it flow through him, calm him down like it always did. In an actual battle he would have been reaching out to the other pilots around him, not only trying to set up a meld with other Jedi, but to read the minds of enemy pilots, trying to get the advantage that came from knowing their next move a split second before they themselves made it. But in a simulation there was no such enemy whose mind he could reach for, but he had instead reached out for the Jedi sitting in the other simulation pods around him. At least he could get a sense of how they were doing and the Jedi could maybe even share information with each other to improve their performance in the simulation, after all a warning through the Force would be faster than any comlink in the Galaxy.

As Master Talohn hailed the unknown craft, Moridin pulled his stick back, his ship rapidly rising above the plain occupied by Talohn and the unknown craft. He soon leveled out, pulling his stick back a little so that he was not following a downward arc towards the craft. He flicked another switch to divert shield power to the forward shields, leaving him with minimal cover to the rear of his ship. As a display began counting down the distance between him and the enemy craft, Moridin waited for the ship to respond to Master Talohn's hailing.

Darix switched to the open comm channel that had been established to Rogue Wing for this particular mission. This would make addressing his fellow pilots a bit easier if things did get out of hand.

"Rogue Wing this is Rogue One, Unidentified vessel has failed to respond. Rogues Three and Four, close in on the target and maneuver to intercept. Take up flanks on port and starboard sides. Rogues Two and Five detach from formation and recon the sector. Best if we find any additional threats before they find us. Copy?"

As instructed Rogue Wing broke apart, each member acting in concert as they moved to carry out their objectives.
Darix pulled Araels Wrath upward breaking through the plain in which the rest of his squadron operated and eased up on the throttle, relaxing the ship into a comfortable cruising speed. Interested to see how the rest of his squadron would carry out their objectives his switched his attention to his targeting and navigation systems, diverting power from the sheilds to his proximity scanners in order to get a more broad picture of the battlefield.
The unidentified fighter maintained its course towards Rogue Wing, showing no reaction to the actions of the squadron as they pressed closer. An odd behaviour indeed. This however was not yet cause for alarm, though it was curious indeed
He analysed various sectors and kept a vigilant eye on the status of his men. Individual readouts detailing every pilots vital signs emotional status flashed across the screen providing him with the ability to play the role of combat control for the time being. Along with the status of his fellow pilots the allied starfighters provided helpful information as well, detailing mechanical statuses, shield generator outputs and more.

As he cycled through the sectors an anomaly appeared uncomfortably close to the lone Jedi. He dialed in on the frequency in an attempt to gain more intel on the situation that had oddly begun unfolding him.
It took a few moments and radio adjustmentes to break through the encryptions, though when the channel cleared up his suspicions were confirmed.
An Imperial transport probobly home to a few small squadrons broke the southern border of the area of operations and maneuvered itself behind Rogue One and the rest of the squadron.

"All units! scramble to engange Jedi fighter squadron, I want them all blown out of the sky!"

The docking bay doors slid open and a response team of simulated attack fighters poured out into open space, thrusters bursting to life as they began to take up an attack formation.
Alarms whistled and blared within the pit of Araels Wrath as the targeting computer identified the threats.

"Rogue wing it appears we've been baited. Rogue three continue your course, mantain visual contact on threat one. The rest of you take evasive action. Intel confirms the targets as a threat move to intercept and eliminate."

Darix punched the throttle on his ship in a response to the oncoming squadron of enemy fighters quickly closing on his six. His once strategic combat control role quickly became a game of cat and mouse. The problem being that he had become the mouse. Diving low to divert the bulk of the enemy force from the rest of his squadron in an attempt to buy them some time he drew them in closer. A few touch panel adjustments reverted the power from his scanners back to his shields as he began pulled the ship into a tight barrel roll evading the first volleys of enemy blaster fire.
The battle had begun.

Sal Zidu strolls through the corridors of the temple on Tython, a bounce in his step and a smile on his face. Ever since he had caught wind of the Simulation being run elsewhere in the Jedi's neck of the woods, he had been searching for a way to get in on it. Sal had worked around ships of all sorts his whole life, and considered himself a fair pilot. However, he had never had the chance to fly in any official capacity. Least of all in a possible combat scenario. The entire thing excited him.

After a good deal of begging and asking, he had finally been given permission to use one of the temples flight training simulators to link up with the session. And that was where the young Padawan was headed now. Entering the room, Sal makes a break for the sim and hops in, closing the canopy around him and sealing himself in. Flipping on the sim, he quickly syncs up with the session in progress aboard the Light of the Force. While he did not have the advantage of being next to his fellow pilots, he sure as heck could try his best to help them. The view screens in the simulated cockpit fire up and space flares up all around him. In front of him, the rest of the squadron.

"This is Padawan Sal Zidu, Rogue Six standing by. All green here"

Of course, seeing as the other ships were breaking off to go about their own orders, he stuck by Rogue One. Maneuvering his small craft next to the Arael's Wrath, Sal checks his view screen once more. Just in time for Rogue One's voice to blare out in his ear.

"Rogue wing it appears we've been baited. Rogue three continue your course, mantain visual contact on threat one. The rest of you take evasive action. Intel confirms the targets as a threat move to intercept and eliminate."

Threats? But he didnt see any- Oh karking frood... Behind him. Craning his neck around, he catches the glint of starlight on a fighters canopy as the first wave of enemy forces begins its attack run. As Rogue One moves off, drawing enemy fire and taking the low ground, Sal punches his own thrusters and flips the safeties off of his fighter's weapons systems. Rolling so that the top of his canopy faced south, the padawan takes off hard and fast. Following Rogue One's example, he flies straight up. With any luck he could split the force up. As he begins to roll back around, he calls out over the comlink.

"This is Rogue Six. We'll lay them out. You take them down. Im officially bringing the party to you guys."

Jedi Padawan Corren Tal

Nervous hesitation, Corren nudged his throttle, separating from Rogue Four, and kept blasting towards threat one. Silently in his mind, he reminded himself to thank Rogue One (whoever he was) for giving him the easy job. Corren wondered if he had a file on all his wingmen in this simulation. He nudged his craft closer to the mark sweeping wide. Coming up on the starboard stern he looked through his view screen at the craft.

"What the?" Shocked interest. He mumbled over the open commlink accidentally. Moving as close as he was comfortable doing, he focused on the small craft. No bigger than an old TIE fighter, the ship seemed hodgepodge - as thought it were scrapped together for one purpose. Gently tipping his star fighter in closer, attempting to get a very close view of the underside of threat one, Corren nervously adjusted in his seat, forcing his simulated craft to bump into the baiting ship. In an instant, a scanner on his dashboard read aloud:
Explosive device activated. Remote self-destruct sequence detected. Payload.... Homing Missiles.
Tapping wildly away at his console, he re-activated his commlink, and tipped his fighter nose-wards while slamming the throttle to full.
"Rogue One, this is Rogue Three. We have an issue." Nervous understatement.
"It appears the bait ship was a dummy. I uhh... accidentally nudged it. Apparently it was set to blow off a dozen homing missiles in the event of any damage to it..." he grumbled to himself, "I'm sorry."

Corren, now a fair distance away from the battle, turned back to the fight at full-speed. He would still take a while to rejoin the battle.

Darix swivled his head to upwards to notice that Rogue Six had joined him in the fight. He had not had the time to formally meet the rest of Rogue Wing before the mission though he was relieved that they were reacting to the situation at had with the tactical behaviour of an experienced group of pilots.
Noticing that Rogue Six had broken off of his flank in an effort to split the enemy squadron and draw their fire towards the rest of Rogue Wing was a much appreciated move, subsequently releiveing Darix of some of the weight of the enemy force.
Blaster fire whizzed past him as he continued to evade the pursuing threats. Weaving in and out of fire lanes as he too circled around and began leading his pursuers towards the rest of the allied fleet. He pulled hard to his ten o'clock and rejoined the operational plain of the battlefield yet again placing himself in the thick of enemy fire. Stray blaster bolts rocked the Araels Wrath as it sustained a solid blow to the fuselage.
Darix was thrown against an instrument panel as he faught to maintain control of the craft.
A few deep breaths and calculated maneuvers righted the fighter as it managed to withstand the blow of the blast taking minor amounts of damage to the left of the ships hull.

"Solid copy Rogue Three. All units be advised, incoming homing missles, specific targets unkown, maintain awareness and prepare to evade."

He kept hard on the throttle, matching speed with Rogue Six in an attempt to keep the enemy on their six.
He glanced out port side to check on his companion who seemed to be fairing well against the pursuing enemy forces. Six had done well to split the fire and in a cohesive effort they managed to close within range of the rest of the battle.

"Rogue Three, press hard towards our position. Acquire target Araels Wrath and launch cuncussion missle when within range."

He was aware his companion may have been a bit shaken up after his run in with the demolition ship. However if he trusted his instincts, and timed it correctly, his plan should do substantial damage to the foes behind Darix's ship.

"Three, on your mark Im deploying a high intensity flare. By targeting my vessel rather than the enemies im hoping that your missle fire wont be picked up by their ships defensive systems. If timed correctly the flare will draw the cuncussive blast behind me and lighten the load for us a bit."

He chose not to speak of what could happen should something go awry. He had no intentions of giving his squad mate reason to second guess the situation or hesitate. However he knew that the idea alone would be cause for concern, though he had handled the demolition ship well enough. Darix trusted completely in his bretheren and reached out to them with the force. Using his own calm and freedom of mind to aid them in the battle.

"Rogue Wing, you are greenlight to engage targets as you see fit."

We'll lay em out, You take em down.

Corren sat still for a moment, staring at the comms unit. He closed his seldom used eyelids, and calmed himself. His hands moved for him, reaching for the targeting computer. His fingers swiftly tapped away arming two concussion missiles. He opened his eyes and took a brief look at the radar, then out his view screen. His tendrils frantically twitching in nervousness, fear, anxiety and a bucket load of other emotions left Corren looking like a madman as he spent a few moments overriding the friend-or-foe system onboard his targeting computer. Corren eventually gave up trying to access the console by hand, so with a disgruntled sigh, he placed his palm flat onto the console and reached into the force. Using his rare, but relatively unhoned ability of Technopathy, Corren quickly did away with the targeting restrictions, and then promptly targeted in Arael's Wrath.

"Rogue one, this is Rogue Three. I estimate will need to engage flares 10 seconds after I launch. Launching in three, two, one," he slipped his hand forward bumping a trigger which launched the missiles. Corren sat in the cockpit, still aimed nose-to-nose with Jedi Master Darix Talohn with his breath still held tightly in his chest.

The next 10 seconds, for Corren seemed like 10 minutes. He could only hold his breath and watch the ion trails of the missiles blast towards a fellow Jedi. Normally, a Jedi does not pray. Typically he would meditate and seek clarity through the force. At this point in time, Corren did both.

Their squad was growing bigger and bigger by the moment as Jedi after Jedi joined in on the session. Though so far none a second too late. Guhoo kept his blue focused on the vessel they were approaching. Still no response... The his headphones forwarded the message of their next course of action as the voice of Rouge One reached him and everyone else.

"Rogues Three and Four, close in on the target and maneuver to intercept. Take up flanks on port and starboard sides."

Moving his joystick forward and breaking formation with Rogue Three in front of him Guhoo tried to keep his ship as steady as possible considering his limited piloting experience. He did a good enough job in his approach in that he didn't seem to provoke the vessel to attack. He came in closer to intercept the vessel and for a moment thought that this was it, this was the moment in the simulation where he'd know if they would be shooting or practicing peaceful drills. He was a bit on edge as to what would or could happen in this simulation. He had forwarded energy to the shields as he broke away from Rogue Three and saw the large vessel to his right, now passing by it as he eased of the throttle. His senses were sharp and he awaited something to happen.

And it did, though not quite what he expected as his communication devices alarmed him of a new threat, and new orders were issued. The young man looked at his radar as it registered several smaller fighters engaging his squad.

"Rogue wing it appears we've been baited. Rogue three continue your course, maintain visual contact on threat one. The rest of you take evasive action. Intel confirms the targets as a threat move to intercept and eliminate."

Rogue Four pulled on his joystick to the left, and quite hard, breaking free from the small vessel he was to intercept and returning back. Stepping on the throttle as his eyes caught sight of the impending space battle Guhoo felt the acceleration of his fighter as his finger was on the trigger. Safety of, weapons were armed as the blond haired padawan brought his starfighter closer and closer to the battle at hand.

As he was about to jump in and open fire all of rogue squad heard the daring maneuver that Rogue One had ordered. And withing seconds the padawan that was with Guhoo on the intercept and that piloted Rogue Three shot a missile. Steering clear of the scramble that was going on at the moment Rouge Four gained in altitude, as Guhoo attempted to jump these guys from above after the missile would hit home, hopefully. If it didn't then he'd just blast away and hope for the best really. Regardless of that he tried to keep his eyes open, extending his senses through the force as not to get focused solely on what their leader was doing.

He didn't want any of those Imperials on his tail after all. Though he wouldn't mind shooting one or two of them down himself, so he remained sharp. "Rogue One, I'm on your 7, got a visual on you. I'll provide back up on your command. Rogue Two, back me up here." Guhoo spoke in to the comm system as his blue eyes maintained visual of Rogue One, he hoped to get back up here...

"Copy that One."

Moridin pulled up ship and while the others raced maintained their course, he shot away from the formations, with two hopefully taking another vector. He diverted power from his shields to boost his sensors, powering them up to greatest range and calling up the appropriate programs for threat assessment from anything that his sensors picked up on. He headed out for almost a minute, picking up on nothing, before he heard One's message on the comm, immediately checking his tactical display to see the new craft spewing out fighters, the new entrants quickly showing up as tiny red triangles on his screen. He began executing a wide arc that would bring him back towards the two group of fighters, taking the time to access the situation.

He was still some distance from either squadron when One's message about missiles came over the comm. He noticed them now, rapidly moving red dots on his tactical display. The fact that he was so far out by now meant that he did not have any missiles to worry about, but it also gave him the advantage of being able to concentrate only on the fighters. Redistributing power to his shields, he switched to proton torpedos and pulled up the targeting program. At the same time he kept an eye on One and Three as they dealt with the missiles, sending confidence through the Force, knowing that with the Force to guide them they didn't need any help from him, besides he was too far out to help them out even if they did need it.

Finally as he began reach the point where the enemy crafts would be in range of his torpedos, he quickly tightened his lazy loop, throttling up to full speed and rushing in towards ships from above. Marking two ships as Alpha and Beta, he made them his primary targets, as they were not at the front of the enemy formation, and would not be expecting anyone to concentrate on them while the lead crafts were still heading in. As soon as he got a good lock on the ships, he released a proton torpedo each towards Alpha and Beta, himself following in the wake of the missiles and switching over to lasers. As the torpedos moved in, the two crafts began executing evasive maneuvers, Alpha moving up while Beta dived low. Alpha's path brought it straight into Moridin's targeting reticles as with a little guidance from the Force he had nudges his craft into just the right place and he fired off a barrage of lasers. The enemy ship has diverted energy out of its shields to get maneuverability and his lasers burned through the weaker shields, causing it to explode in a brilliant flash.

He quickly pulled his stick back and rushed away from the engagement area, noticing Beta had also fallen prey to his other torpedo. But his move had not been a complete success, he now had two interceptors on his own tail. Diverting shield powers to his rear shields, he began jinking around, making himself a hard target to get a lock on. "Rouge Five here, I have two on my tail, could use some help here."

Sal continued to gun his throttles back towards the other jedi ships with three Fighters on his own tail. Rolling and serpantining, the Padawan makes a break straight at Rogue Five. In the sim, the biggest grin splits his face. He punches the button on the com unit and calls out. "Rogue Five, this is Rogue Six. Ill be happy to help, but I have a couple fighters on my back too. So how about you scratch my back and ill Scratch yours." Suddenly, the Padawan's fighter changes direction, headed straight at Rogue Five in a seemingly headlong collision. At the last moment, he rolls his ship so that the two vehicles pass canopy to canopy.

Still smirking, he locks on to the two biters on his comrades tail and fires twin torpedoes. The two guided projectiles collide with the enemy, tearing them apart as he yells out over the com. "Got ya'!" Mean while, the three fighters that had been trailing him would now be directly in Rogue Five's Gun sights. Still, that did not stop them from peppering Sal's craft with blaster fire. His shields dip and a warning light flashes on. "Alright, Not the best move... Rogue Six here. Took some heavy fire. I have to pull away for a second until things calm down. Cover me"

Rolling his ship around in an immelman turn, the Padawan guns his engines for the edge of the area of engagement. While he waits for his systems to catch up with themselves, he observes the fight from afar, ready to call out the shots. "Rogue Six here. Anyone got a Bead on those homing Missiles? I cant see much from out here."

Moridin quickly understood what Six had in mind, a smile appearing on his face as well. He shot straight ahead and towards Six, executing a roll at the last instance to pass canopy to capony with the other Jedi's ship. As soon as he was past the ship the three cafts that had been tailing Six came into his aiming reticles. The shot would have been impossible for an ordinary pilot, the mere fractions of a second that he had to fire the proton torpedo he had powered up, but he had the Force to guide him. He hot the torpedo at just the right moment, and it covered the distance between him and the incoming crafts in a matter of seconds. As it crashed into the central craft, the explosion that resulted was enough to take out one of the others as well, the third interceptor rising up and away from the explosion.

Moridin's ship flew through the remnants of the explosion, his particle shields being peppered by small parts left from the interceptors. Checking that he was still in flying condition, he pulled back his stick to make his ship rise upwards and race after the third craft. He began spraying its rear with laser fire, letting it eat away at its shields before firing another torpedo that slammed into the interceptor and a mini supernova suddenly occupied his front display as the craft exploded. He watched Six move out of the engagement area and provided him with the cover as he moved away. "Five has your back Six, and thanks for the help."

"This is Sim One reporting! Jedi fighters have thinned our numbers! What is the status of our back up?"

Sim One snarled as he watched members of Rogue Wing dispatch of his comarades. These Jedi were inexperienced pilots in comparison however they had managed to react brilliantly to a situation in which many of SimSquad had found themselves bested.

Alerts and flashed light up the holoscreen of his fighter as he took notice of a rather odd tactic being employed by the Jedi squadron.
The formation of fighters he had dispatched towards R1 and R6 had closed on their targets and began unleasheing a barrage of blaster fire in their direction. His heart raced as he envisioned the kills. Watching in anticipation as his fellow SimSquad brethern moved in for their well earned kill he caught sight of a concussive missle searing through open space towards their front.
It took him a moment to assess the situation, though it was a moment poorly spent.
He frantically tried to raise his comrades on the communicator but it was too late.

The Jedi known as Rogue One deployed flares just as he had suspected and the concussive blast honed in on it instantly, propelling itself into the storm of high tempture decoys and exploding in a blast that blossomed into a cloud of Simusquad ship parts and shrapnel. The lead Jedi's maneuvered his way out of this one, though he had not escaped unscathed.

"it seems as though the Jedi's recklessness has paid off. I am confirming casualties however it appears as though his ship has suffered severe damage. Weapons and sheilds seem to be offline. This time, we'll hit our mark."

The SimSquad leader diverted power from his sheilds to his weapons systems and thrusters, aligned himself with Rogue one and took off towards the helpless craft.

```` ````
"Great shot Rogue Three! My six is clear"
Darix savord the moment as he reached out to his squadron with the force. Feeling Rogue Three overcome his fears and discover a small fraction of his potential was an enlightening experience. One which he would be sure to make mention to him once back on the ground.
The Jedi Masters face dimmed as his instrument pannels faded flickered and disappeared from view. He remained emotionless as his particular situation had taken a turn for the worse. He did not attempt to divert power from secondary systems although he still had a few obscure options. His hands firm grip on the joystick of the Araels Wrath slowly weakend and released control of the vessel allowing it to float in free space.
As his heads up display faded from view his view was greatly enhanced due to the lack of instrumentation and digital readouts in the way. He closed his eyes and emptied himself of all feeling. The force his eyes, gazing endless upon the vast battlefield that sprawled out before him. His hands folded within his lap, the force his hands; reaching out and touching the brave Jedi who were still fighting beside him. His actions were sound, he knew the advantages of the tactic far out weighed result. Knowing that the enemy forces were dwindling in numbers and his comrades morale boosted was more than enough.
His battle meditation strengthened and he reached out with the force. Who needed comlinks anyway.
This is Rogue One, Araels Wrath has been disabled. Im still in the fight but the ships on its last legs. Establish a new Squadleader and continue the mission. May the force, be with you all.
The Jedi Master sat still within his craft. Doing what he could to keep the life support systems active on auxilliary power so as not to be pulled from the simulation. He felt that being here to oversee things would be as good for his morale as it would for his men. Knowing that although he was a sitting duck, he would stay alongside them until the end.
He continued his battle meditation reaching out to enstill calm and composure within his comrades.
Though something sharp, and dark forced its way into his thoughts, he glanced over to see an enemy en route towards his position..
As the tactic turned out to be a successful one, in that it took out a large percentage of the attacking squad Guhoo saw the Rogue One had taken heavy damage. Still he could feel the thoughts and words of its Jedi pilot in his mind. He relaxed a little as he pushed the joystick in his hand forward, his ship following the issued command and dropping down towards the damaged fighter. It was precisely for this situation that Guhoo had positioned himself the way he did.
He wasn't sure what to do in the last exchange and so he decided to sit it out, basically, and provide back up if needed. His eyes spotted an incoming enemy vessel, and even though Guhoo was a novice pilot really, he fearlessly pulled his ship to the left, flying past Rogue One, and going directly towards the incoming enemy ship. Feeling the force build inside him Guhoo used the force. Traditionally the Technique used was Force Speed, but the young human was taught other applications of it as well. He used the force to speed up his senses, his awareness of what was going on. He directed all his focus on the enemy at hand as his finger was on the trigger.
His didn't say anything, there was no need for words. He'd win here, he'd either win or he'd lost. There was no room for anything else, and Guhoo decided to put all his money on his win. All power of the ship was directed towards the weapons as Guhoo came closer and closer to the fighter. He knew that if he steered one way or the other that this guy would have a clear path to the Jedi Master, so he decided to go for broke and try and take him out with one shot. As soon as he was in range he did his gamble.
He waited for any sort of movement from the enemy pilot as he fired two blaster shots at him. He wasn't sure what would happen, but he remained sharp. If the enemy went up, Rogue Four would go up as well, if he went down, the padawan would try and do the same and try and catch him and send a couple more blaster shots his way. He may have had sharp senses but Guhoo still was not an experienced pilot, so he improvised quite a bit here and played it bold. He may have however just gotten himself involved in to more then he could handle, but he wouldn't back down. He did pick this fighter...
When Jenny had received her march order, she couldn't believe it. She was to transfer to the fighter escort of the Light of the Force, the flagship of the Jedi, of all places. As if they could even need more pilots. They would hardly fly their precious ship into a battle. But there was nothing to be done, and now she was there. And what was more, her commanding officer had ordered her to... get to know the Jedi. There were certainly queer people here. He would insist that it was necessary to get used to them if she was to fly with them here, and had pointed out that a Master had requisitioned a flight simulator for an exercise. Turns out she was to join in this.
Somewhat unwilling, she entered the simulator room. Most of the cockpits were already occupied, apparently the simulation had begun. She wasn't actually late according to her schedule, but she hoped the Jedi knew this, or didn't care. After a moment of hesitation, she took a seat in one of the remaining cockpits. As the hood descended on her, she closed the belt and put on the headset without thinking, the surroundings being entirely familiar to her.
The computer informed her of the scenario. A moment after she confirmed, she was deep in space in a Rogue class fighter, a battle some distance away in front of her. Jenny pushed the throttle as far as it would go and transferred some energy from the weapons to the engines to be there more quickly. The sensor readings revealed that the Imperial transport had launched another two fighters - the program compensating for the arrival of another pilot.
"This is Rogue Seven, reporting in", she said a bit tonelessly on the commlink. "Sorry for being late."
For the next several seconds, all she could do was monitor the events through her sensors. For beginning starfighter pilots, it needed some training to learn to relate the sphere in the 3D-display to one's conception of one's surroundings, but after five years, this had become automatic for Jenny.
She was slightly confused as she found a piece of verbally formulated information directly in her head, instead of hearing it on the communications. Apparently the lead ship - the one with the fancy name - had been disabled, but not destroyed, and its pilot was employing one of those Jedi tricks. She identified its position on the sensor display, but it was too far away for her to do anything about it - in fact, it was on the other side of the battle from her.
The two newly started Imperial fighters seemed to have decided to intercept her on her way towards the rest of the squadron. Two missiles were reported being launched. They were, apparently, not very experienced pilots, that was probably why she got two. Jennifer still had enough time to comfortably change the energy distribution, taking away from the engines and increasing the power of the weapons and shields. She reduced her speed and turned right in the direction the missiles were coming from.
The targeting display, conveniently linked to forward sensors, indicated the position of the missiles even though they were difficult to see from the front with the naked eye. Jenny carefully directed the head of the fighter to face in precisely the right direction with little movements of the joystick. An agile fighter like this had very fickle controls that took some time getting used to and made precision maneuvers like this something of a challenge, but after some time, one had adapted to the need for very small and controlled movements. Jenny pressed and held the trigger for a short moment, and slightly time-shifted relative to each other, four laser bolts were fired and blasted the missile out of the sky.
Time was getting a bit short for doing the same thing with the second one, but she had to at least try. A missile on her tail and two enemy fighters approaching her head on wouldn't be the best of situations. A quick redirection by a few angles, and a second of stabilizing the nose of the fighter - the missile was so close now that she could clearly see something like a corona from its burner around the circle that was the weapon itself. She was getting a little nervous there. But eventually, she pushed the trigger again and the blink of an eye later found herself flying through an explosion. An explosion, though, that had fortunately originated in a distance that was still perfectly comfortable for her shields.
Jenny was relieved, even though the enemy fighters were closing in quickly. She picked out one of them, locked in a missile, and waited a moment longer. She discharged it, pulled up rolled around and pulled up again, thus displacing herself laterally without a change in direction. She saw a laser bolt from the enemy passing besides her, and sought her target, she same one she had fired her missile at. If she hadn't done this too early, they would now have the choice between shooting down the missile, giving her the opportunity to get one of them with less fire directed at her, or shooting at her and having the missile hit its target. They seemed to be inspired by her reaction to theirs and attempted to get the missile now, both hurriedly directing their fire at it. She could thus comfortably pick her target. Just as the missile exploded, shot down by the salvos of laser bolts directed at it, she pulled the trigger, held it for a second, and then broke off slightly to the right and downward. The shots passed right through the explosion and surprised one of the fighter pilots, flying right in his face and rekindling the fireworks.
The other one would need a moment now to come around and get at her tail.
"This is Rogue Seven, if someone's got time, I'm bringing one with me", she informed the rest of the squadron as she accelerated and headed again in their direction.
Jedi Padawan Corren Tal
Corren blew past Rogue One, and checked his instruments. Knowing he was ok, he pressed on. He quickly turned left as his alarm started blaring, "Homing missile lock." Corren freaked out and looked around. Six homing missiles were on his tail. Grinning, he came up with a stupid idea.
"This is Rogue Seven, if someone's got time, I'm bringing one with me," came over the commlink.
"Rogue Seven, this is Rogue three. I've got six homing missiles locked onto me. Adjust your vector and fly directly at me. Once we pass you'll need to nose-dive, confirm copy, over," he tapped at the commlink and nudged his fighter into a collision course with Rogue Seven. This trick worked once before, there was no reason for him to assume it wouldn't have worked again.
He growled softly as he pushed his fighter to its limits, the missiles slowly gaining on him. He either had to use the missiles, or get hit by them. He could do nothing but wonder if there was no better way to have an introduction to piloting...
Six missiles - that boy had gotten himself into quite a predicament, it seemed. But his idea might just work. They would perhaps get a few hits, but the shields of a Rogue fighter could take that, and even if they didn't get the enemy, he'd probably be rid of some of the missiles. "Copy that, Rogue Three. Rogue Seven over."
A look at the 3D map revealed his location, and Jenny adjusted her course slightly to meet him, slightly decelerating her fighter after a moment to let the Imperial behind her catch up. She looked through the targeting display to see Rogue Three's location and waited for him to become clearly visible.
Her astromech droid complained as the first bolt hit her backward shields. "Don't worry, R7, that won't kill us", she told it as she began a barrel roll maneuver around her original flight vector. That made her more difficult to hit and would slow her down so that her attacker would come even closer.
It also made it more difficult to keep track of her position relative to Rogue Three, but it was possible. When she estimated the distance to be just right, she brought her fighter back close to the axis, reaching it just a moment before the two starfighters passed each other, and then pulled away sharply from the swarm of missiles behind Rogue Three. She felt the inertia push her into the seat as she did so, not a pleasant sensation, but a familiar one from which she recovered immediately. She flew off in about a 110 degree angle to her original course and looked up to reorient herself and see what was happening in the space that had previously been behind her.
Sal inhales sharply as the voice reaches out into his mind. Rogue one crippled and Rogue Squadron leaderless... Well, this pretty much couldnt get wors- Even before he finishes the thought, his screen lights up in warning. Three homing Missiles bearing down on his position fast. Oh Universe, you do so love proving me wrong... Sal glances down at his displays and, diverting all spare power to his engines and shields, takes off like a shyrack out of korriban straight towards Rogue One's position.
The missiles continue to close, and at the last second Sal deploys flares to flash their targeting systems. It works, but only for a moment. Luckily a moment is all the young padawan needs to gain precious seconds and take the lead in front of the Missiles. But wait... Why was nobody talking? Who the heck was in charge here?!? Sal grits his teeth and flicks his com off, still barreling towards Rogue One. "Karking..... I cant believe im about to do this..." Hitting the com again and turning it back on, the Padawan speaks as loudly and clearly as he can. He just prays people listen to a kid.
"Rogue Squadron, this is Rogue Six. Regroup around Arael's Wraith and watch his back. If youve got homing missiles on your tail, buddy up with another rogue and scratch their back. Feel me? Rogue Three, Once you deal with those missiles on your tail, squad up with Rogue Seven and converge on the lead enemy ship. Throw everything you have at her engines. Five, Im going to need you to watch over the others and mop up any stragglers. Rogue Four, Im coming your way. We'll try to box this guy in. Get ready, Im about to do something a little bit crazy. This is Rogue Six... Over and out."
Going off the com, Sal takes a deep breath before whipping his craft around and zoning in on an enemy fighter bearing down on the others of his squad. Alright... Time to do this. Flying towards the fighter at max speed, Sal tries his best not to mind the missile barreling towards him and gaining fast. Coming in high and fast, he isnt noticed until he is about 100 meters away. Even then, the enemy ship barely has time to throttle up before Sal is on top of him. Firing his blasters like a madman and pouring all his spare power into his frontal shields, the Padawan blows the ship apart and tears through the wreckage.
The Homing Missiles, however, dont have the benefit of shielding and strike the debris. Detonating, they lash out and scorch the back of Rogue Six's ship. The energy sends him into a brief roll, but he manages to pull it out. That said, his torpedoes and flares are gone. Oh well, no time to mourn about it now. He had to help out Rogue Four. Cranking his engines back up, he takes off towards the other jedi, watching the entire battlefield.
"Good luck out there, Rogue Squadron"
