Sparring (Closed)

[Guardian Six]

Yuma sat in the empty classroom waiting for his sparring partner. With his recently discovered powers, Yuma wanted to make sure that he wasn't dreaming. He had his training saber and was meditating about what Cin Drallig's words had said in the holocron. Let the Force control you, but the Jedi Master hadn't explained what would happen if you didn't control your actions. He waited for his sparring partner, this would be his first practice before the Ladder Tournament.

Sera sped through the halls and corridors of the Academy, her bare legs reflecting the light from the high paned windows. She was going to be late if she didn't hurry, she checked her Double Bladed training saber was again, attached to her belt, she had forgotten but just thirty minutes ago and it was because of that, she was making such a hasty manevour.

She wasn't sure why Yuma had requested her so urgently, she barely knew him, aside from catching his glance around the Temple from time to time.

She sped quickly around another corner, and another, slipping on the high polished floor, catching her balance, but not before grazing her knee harshly on the skirting rail. She took a moment to tend to her wound before, coming to the conclusion it wasn't serious enough and sped off again, passing numerous jedi, masters and apprentices alike, who frowned on her hasty move through the temple.

Finally of course, she reached the training hall that Yuma was awaiting her in, filing herself down, checking her grazed knee ones more, before walking in, trying not to sound out of breath, and simply speaking in a quiet, petite tone.

"I'm here.. so, then. You ready or what?"

She mocked slighty, not in an offesive tone, but more playful. As she moved to the center of the hall, and unclipping her double bladed training saber, but not igniting it just yet, waiting for Yuma to acknowledge her presence.

"Take a second and relax my friend," Yuma replied as he continued meditating, "then we'll begin."

Finally after ten additional minutes, he stood up and activated his training saber and took the stance of Shii-Cho; the Force was flowing through his body already, he let it engulf his senses and his mind. Suddenly he thrust his saber towards his opponent with all his might, his weight on his left foot and his dominant hand holding the blade tightly. The duel had begun.

Sera flicked on her training saber, instantly both sides crackling in an emerald green glow which emitted, reflecting of the high polished floor, illuminating the area around her, her legs and arms catching the glare, giving her a kind of glowing ambience.

As her opponent stretched his saber out towards her in an attempted attack, she twisted her self slightly to the right, knocking the saber away with the lower part of her double sided saber, and step back, placing pressure on back left leg, balacing slighty with her fore leg, before following with thorough with her response attack, twisting the saber up so the opposite end would come swooping down, aiming for her opponents torso.

Yuma blocked the strike kneeling on one leg, he used his momentum to spin and swung his blade horizontally, then at the last moment when Sera moved to block his swing, he stepped off with his front foot and moved behind her with his guard up.

 

[Gex]

Sera stepped back on her left foot, as the spin came, she half expected him to return the same attack, which almost would have ended their bought if not for quick reflexes spinning in the opposite direction, her blade spinning with her to repel any lower or upper attacks from Yuma.

She stood faced towards him, spinning her bladed still, prepared for any attack, her form switched down to a rather novice phase of Seresu.

 

[Guardian Six]

Yuma sprinted towards Sera using the Force speed, and slashed with a horizontal strike at his opponents leg, if it didn't hit he was prepared to dodge a counter-attack.

 

[Gex]

Sera anticipated the attack, stepping back and allowing him to follow through with the downward swing, bringing her saber up and over and down towards her opponent back as he stretched out. A basic tip and switch, but effective against strong attacks.

As Yuma blocked Sera's attacks, he felt the sweat pouring out of his skin, and he countered with a horizontal swipe aimed at her knees.
