The Wook's Crew provided a host of illicit services, including: Illicit warehouses, smuggling, bounty hunting, and piracy.
History
The Wook founded his criminal empire by combination of his vast profits from bounty hunting, and stealing a warehouse from a spice gang on Nar Shaddaa. After the previous owners tried to take it back, The Wook successfully defended the warehouse and decided to expand it by including a hardened, hidden vault for storing especially valuable items or people in an emergency. He formalized the beginning of his piracy operations at the same time, having already established himself as a formidable bounty hunter. His ascent to prominence in terms of physical assets was slow. He spent most of his time forging quiet relationships and alliances before finally moving his pieces into place.
During and after the Warehouse saga, The Wook directed most of his efforts into personally building a solid crew that he saw potential in and could act as his lieutenants so future expansions would go smoothly and have someone competent in charge once his attention was elsewhere. One notable instance was on Raithal where he recruited two bounty hunters after driving the Jedi off-planet. From there, he acquired a safehouse in a seedy neighborhood.
Structure
Though The Wook and his criminal enterprise work within the structure of the Hutt Cartel, it possesses its own structure as well:
- Boss: This position is occupied by solely by The Wook. In the event of his death, the position passes to his second-in-command or his usurper (depending on his manner of death).
- Right Hand: This position is occupied by only one (1) being, chosen by The Wook himself, who served as his second-in-command.
- Lieutenant: The Wook has many lieutenants. His lieutenants both serve as managers of his affairs (warehouses, piracy, smuggling, etc.) and to lead any outposts he establishes beyond Nar Shaddaa. They report directly to him.
Note: The Wook's Crew does not work based off of Levels. Members are chosen for positions based on their willingness to take part in the gang's story and their overall contributions/activity to the gang. Members of his gang can also work with other criminals within the Hutt Cartel who may be allied with The Wook's Crew: for example, the Toasted Twi'lek gang or Nem'ro Besadii Ziir's Criminal Empire.
