Sskaar is a Force-sensitive male Trandoshan and a member of the Jedi Order holding the rank of Jedi Knight. A Jedi of fierce convictions and dedications to the core tenants of his order, Sskaar trained for and entered the Jedi Arbitration Corps as a Jedi Justicar. Believing that darkness must be fought within the Order, as well as without, Sskaar dedicated himself to purging the Jedi Order of those who undermined it by violating its codes and jeopardizing the entire galaxy.
BIOGRAPHY
Sskaar was among the rare Trandoshans who was born with a sensitivity to the Force, and was intensely distrusted by his brood and his people for his powers. While still a youth, he was surrendered willing to the Jedi Order by his people, and for many years struggled with intense feelings of abandonment. These feelings transformed into resentment and rebelliousness as the young Trandoshan became a Padawan and began to learn the ways of the Force.
To make matters worse, Sskaar's Jedi Master was a Wookiee, a species his own kind intensely hated and frequently hunted. Sskaar's anger worsened under his master, and it was soon believed by his master's peers that he would be expelled from the Jedi Order for being unwilling to learn its core tenants, falling dangerously close to the dark side.
As the young Trandoshan neared maturity, he elected to run away from the Order and seek revenge on those who had abandoned him. However, unwilling to give up on him, Sskaar's Wookiee master confronted him before he could leave and dueled her apprentice into submission. In the ensuing moment of vulnerability, Sskaar vented his pain and frustration to his master, whom, to his surprise, listened and validated his hurt instead of judging him for it. Her kindness caused his heart to waver and her acceptance helped him to turn his back on his destructive path.
Embracing his new family, Sskaar rededicated himself to the Jedi, let go of his past, and committed to rescuing other Jedi who were at risk of falling to the dark side and abandoning their order's principles. As he grew into adulthood and was knighted, this growing sense of righteousness finally bore fruit, blossoming into a sense of justice that saw him determined to bring to justice all those Jedi from within the Order who betrayed it and the beings he saw as his family in hopes of keeping the Jedi Order whole and pure.
POWERS & ABILITIES
Sskaar is a Trandoshan, a species known for its ruthlessness and hunting prowess, and a fully trained Jedi Knight and Justicar. He is an accomplished tracker with a keen eye and an acute sense of smell, both of which he has learned to enhance with the Force.
However, what perhaps makes Sskaar so imposing is his sheer size and musculature. Sskaar is an imposing two meters in height and, having been trained by a Wookiee, is sufficiently bulky and incredibly strong. Combined with the clawed fingers that allow members of his race to scale large trees with ease, and Sskaar is a formidable foe at close quarters even without his lightsaber. With his lightsaber, he is significantly more dangerous, as lightsaber combat was one of the few areas of Jedi training he genuinely enjoyed, devoting hours to the practice.
He is not noted to possess any unique or special Force talents. Instead, he devoted himself to mastering the core Force abilities, allowing him to enhance his speed, physical strength, and senses. He also has an affinity for the basic telekinetic powers most Jedi are famous for. Combined, these talents have forged him into a weapon designed solely to hunt down and bring to justice those who would seek to harm or desert the Jedi Order from within.
