Ubrikkia/hidden death stick facility
18:31 local time

images.png

With the train taken out, the crime presence on Ubrikkia was weakened. Only a few small operations and one big one still remained. This was the big one. The gangsters had taken over a facility and turned it into their drug facility. Now with their enterprise in jeopardy they would be a lot more on edge to protect their assets.

And none of that mattered one bit when a Mandalorian had their mind set on something.

Sumas had organized a small strike team to move in and shut the place down. Whether by simply killing everyone or blowing the entire building up it didn't matter. The facility needed to go and that was final. What surprised him was when none other than the Alor of Clan Kelborn agreed to join him on this mission. And along with him another of his clan's members. Her reputation was still unknown to him but a few connections told him she was solid. So he saw no issue whatsoever with having her tag along.

Sumas was a couple blocks away from the facility, sitting on his DSD-90 with his spiked red armour. A bag of grenades and welding putt sat in the storage compartment. On his back was his brand new MSBR sitting alongside his jetpack. He was almost properly geared. All he needed to do now was blow a Sith's head off, take their lightsaber and presto! Next stop: Jaig Eyes! Perhaps then his Al'Verde would prefer to not blow his head off...

The starry sky was blocked out with the pollution of the area. The blowing wind was dry and carried an industrial scent with it. His helmet was in his hands, his fingers playing with the sharp horns welded onto the top to resemble his own horns as a Zabrak. His team would be here any moment now. After that, sorting out a plan and making a place go boom shouldn't be too hard. At least he hoped they could make the place go boom.

In the shadows of the nearby alley lie a Mandalorian whose black armor blended in seamlessly. Revora was scanning the area around the Zabrak seeing if any odd personages were spying on the bright red Mando. A few times she even entertain getting some free aiming practice using the Zabrak's head as a reference but decided against it. Even if she took measures to render the gun safe and uncharged she didn't want to risk the metric ****storm that would happen if she accidentally blew his head off. Still fun idea to entertain.

A song was being played through her helmet from her holoman. Softly bobbing her head to the beat she looked down the rest of the city block and infact the entire cityscape. The lighting had certain beauty to it as pitch black mixed and melded to the hazy orange glow of street lamps. Meanwhile the light, ever present layer of soot caked everything it could lay it's fingers into, like a poisonous fallout.

Revora would add this place to the list of locations she would to tell her brother about. He'd love to hear about how she, a solus and the head of Clan Kelborn personally kicked the collective asses of a bunch drug peddling scum and burned their enterprise to the ground. Another story for the collection. She made a note to check up on him after this was all over. See if he could talk. Sadly many days he was too tired from all the pain and drugs needed to stop the infection he got on Concordia from killing him. Still each moment felt like a day when talking to him. See you soon littleman, your sis Revy gonna go bust some heads on your behalf.

Plus she got to meet Burkhart in person which was something she wanted to do after Mandalore. Whether he was aware of it or not he did right by her and her family that day. Revy didn't know if she would ever tell him about it. That would be answered in time. The Cathar chuckled to herself. Nothing like getting sentimental about family before going on a killing spree. The Mandalorian life was always one of anachronisms.

After a long period of quiet activity with only the running of rats to accompany her in the alley that Revy decided to finally move out. A calm slow walk was the Mando faded back into the light. A10 blaster in her hands. She didn't like being out in the open for too long. She was wondering how this Zabrak was fine with not having his helmet on. He was a sitting duck saved by the fact that there were no raptors to prey on him. Still she made her way over looking over him and the swoop bike he was sitting in.

"Expecting company?" She asked, she kept her blaster casually held to her chest aiming down towards the ground, it was clear she wasn't going to shoot him but in case someone were to open fire she could quickly retaliate. For now though it was another mission and another night what could possibly go wrong?

♣ THEME ♣

Burkhart was far from a good person. He had been a punk growing up. Chose the violent life of a Mandalorian and left his mother. He picked criminal life style, drank, gambled fought and covered it up so none of it could be used against him. He broke the law and was a bootlegger primarily and smuggler of other high valued items. But he kept the really bad stuff out of Mandalore system. When working with other criminals and making pacts in the past Burkhart had made a point to keep filth like death sticks and other hardcore spice based drugs. Only recently had he branched out to the low risk and safer recreational substances.

Sumas had helped secure the Guilea in the operation Burkhart had organized. The Shereshoy class space station over Contruum Prime should be getting the finishing touches done on it any day now.

Also along for the mission was one of his own clan, Revora. There had been many that had lost a great deal after the bombing of Mandalore. Burkhart was sad not more people could have been helped. But it could have been far worse. Now he was making a point of helping as many as possible by having them take refuge in Contruum space.

"We are tha cumpanay." He answered Revy's playful tone as he moved to join the two Mandalorians. Out of the three of them he was the only one without a long ranged weapon. He pulled out his macrobinoculars though and still looked towards their target building. The armored plates that protected his right arm and shoulder were painted red in stark contrast to the black and detailing of orange the rest of his beskar'gam had. "see anythin worth notin?" He asked either of them.

He had some KO squares added to his equipment recently along with some rev-all. After the battle over Concordia he had found that perhaps wearing the lightsabers on his belt were not the best course of action. Since he normally wore a swoop biker black leather jacket over his upper body anyways it made sense for him to put two N.E.W.D.A.s. One for each lightsaber on each arm. Though due to the jacket his slayer and parjai badge were hidden along with the clan iconography. For now only his more overt weaponry like the wadjet flame projector were visible though in relative size it looked like a large pistol if he held it in his hands. Over his shoulder hovered silently was a surveillance drone he had brought. The drone was more of a field test since he wanted to see if he would be using them at all in the future. If this had been a rural environment the Alor would have probably just dropped in with his basilisk and laid waste to this building. He had done it before. He probably could have just done a fly by and launched a couple of proton torpedoes at it. But aerial bombing in a place like this was not really his style.

Sumas didn't budge when Revora spoke to him. Instead he smiled and gave a quick glance in her direction. "You know, if you're trying to stick to the shadows then maybe turning down your music is a great idea." he commented as he shifted in his seat to look at her. Though as he shifted, the barrel of his Strill was pointed right at her gut. "Glad you could make it." he said as he holstered the weapon.

His head snapped around as the Alor spoke to her. "Nothing too odd. I checked it out a bit and it's typical stuff for the most part. Carbines, pistols, light armour, maybe a few PIPE's though I can't confirm that. Didn't get a good look on the stuff. What I can conform is the brand new crate of Javelin's that arrived here. So that might make things interesting. Only one or two entrances around the bottom but they seem to be watched rather closely, though there's plenty of windows along the roof that are dead quiet. So going in from above could work for a surprise attack." he explained to the Morling. "Brought some high explosive goodies along as well for us in case we need it." he explained with a very happy smile, tapping the storage compartment of his swoop.

"So what are you guys in the mood for? Blow the front door down or take it from a different angle?" he asked the two of them, sliding his helmet on and pulling his rifle around to hang over his chest.

Revy for a brief moment was cringing at Sumas for his lack of trigger discipline. Didn't someone teach this idiot rule one and two of using a blaster? Never aim it at anything you don't want to shoot and always assume it's loaded. Thankfully he holstered the blaster quickly enough that Revy was able to resist the urge to rip it out of his hands. She didn't want to die in some completely preventable friendly fire accident. Revy did a rolling motion with her head at the notion of her music. How the heck could he tell that she was listening to music. Were the earbuds that came with the Holoman really that loud.

The Arrival of the Alor snapped Revy's attention trying to avoid the urge to do a traditional salute. Still the Morling was a most welcome sight as he approached the two. This was it, try not to make a complete ass out of yourself in front of the Alor. Now though her mind was shifting to the operation at hand especially with what the Alor had said.

"No visual on any civilian activity, locals likely know not to be caught here during the night." Revy reported there was a tone of relief in her voice though subtle. It was always was unfortunate to see people die in a crossfire of something they had nothing to do with. Not having to worry about that and just being able to shoot with a clear conscience made things a lot easier. Still the info provided by Sumas was worrying what was with it with common street gangs needing to throw military grade arms about? Still Repeaters were medium to long range weapons for most sentients as they were just simply too cumbersome for anything. While a Pipe might be far fetched it was safest to assume that could have them. They're suicide at close range or indoors due to blast radius and backblast.

Still another thought if these people got Javelins, means that they might know people in the Empire or people that know people in the empire atleast. That would be an interesting lead to pursue at a later date. Smuggling imperial goods was some of the riskiest but highest paying jobs you could get. So maybe take a few alive for questioning later that might work. Then Sumas ask them for what they wanted to do.

"Could provide sniper support but it would be too easy to be suppressed by repeater and rocket fire... " The cathar's mind now trying to formulate something. Storming the front door was an invitation to bring an entire gang's worth of firepower point at you, and a sneaky infiltration could go to kark real fast if prematurely spotted after all someone could decide they want to take a leak or go on a smoke break, they wouldn't do that though if they were focused on some idiot storming the front door.

"How 'bout a feint? We setup to breach and clear the second floor. Before we breach we have a great big dumb distraction at their front door to grab all of their attention. They'll be too panicked trying to figure out what idiot is trying to attack their front door to realize we've cleared the second floor and setup chokepoints at all of the stairwells. Plus close quarters should mitigate them having repeaters and rockets."

Yeah that sounded good. Should be quick, painless, and simple enough that it couldn't be kriffed up. Right?

Hearing Sumas's assessment Burkhart would nod. It was a good bit of information and would allow the trio to know what to expect. It could be better reconnaissance but perhaps that would be brought up in the debrief later. Hearing his own clan member pipe up made him squint at the building in question and shift his gaze around. No civilian activity was not the blessing she might think it was. It meant that even the locals knew what kind of danger these thugs could pose. It would be a visible symptom of the gang's power and influence as well as make an approach difficult. Any movement would be seen by sentries as a possible danger.

The death stick factory was having weapons bolster its power by the Zabrak's observations. These were not just an extra crate of
Vorantikus blaster rifles and VBP-11 pistols or even an extra box of frag grenades. That would make most common gangs pretty more well armed than their counterparts. But these death stick manufacturers were getting more than that. They had military grade hardware and plenty of it. What's more is they had specifically imperial stamped durasteel. That meant they were connected with a pipeline of sorts. Burkhart knew enough about gun running and what this might entail because he also did it. Whomever was these thugs' supplier was his competition. That only increased his motivation.

Hearing Revy theorize on possible options had him pull out of his business oriented mindset. He turned to both the Zabrak and the Cathar, looking them up and down and getting an idea of what equipment they had and their capability for the best course of action. He waved his survelance drone to move ahead and get closer to the building and observe what was going on towards their target while he would give the two marauders his tactical orders.

"We won't be able ta feint. I'll go first. None ov ya have anythin that can blow the second floor open from a distance anyways. When we approach the buildin we'll need to do it fast. They'll spot me, I'll fire off ma wrist rocket at tha second floor an blow a hole. Most likely I'll be goin through the breach and start gettin in on them. I won't be able to take out all the roof top sentries so you two take 'em out. They won't ave outside eyes on ya when you approach then. Anythin they relay will ave been reports of one mandalorian comin in through the breach and snipers outside. Revy, you don't have a jet pack, only jump boots so you'll need to follow me through the breach after the guards are cleared. Sumas, you go roof. You two can decide who runs second and who runs third. Whichever one of you is after run as soon as I'm in the breach."

Make an opening that the gangsters would not expect. Have them believe he is alone. Disorient, divide, disrupt, and demoralize. The attack will not be covert but it is meant to be sly. The inevitable backup from inside the factory will not have the outside guards on sentry to report and give them information on their enemy. Once the three mandalorians got inside then it would just be a mater of killing their way through the drug manufacturers.

With the directions given Burkhart got into position. He checked the surveillance drone and had it connect to the datapads the other Mandalorians had though he maintained control of the drone. They would just be able to see from an elivated position any of the gangsters on the ground floor outside of the building or on the roof. "Ready?" He drew his renegade blaster pistol in one hand and hovered his finger over his gauntlet bulwark shield in case he needed to activate it while bolting for the building.

Sumas was about to comment on Snippy's idea but Burkhart beat him to the punch. He turned to listen to the Morling explain his plan, which sounded very solid. "I can breach second from the top. Draw the focus of you then cause some confusion to make an opening for Revy to breach without too much concentration on you guys. I can also provide some suppressing fire from topside along the catwalks." he commented as he looked his rifle over. He quickly took out the bag of explosives and slung it around his shoulder. "Keep an eye out for fireworks." he said with a chuckle.

With that Sumas got off the swoop and flew off to land on a nearby roof. As quietly as possible he sneaked over to get behind one of the sentries. With a quick slice of his wrist blade he took the man out and moved on to the other. The second one almost got him, but a stab through the throat silenced him easily enough. After sorting out the sentries he quickly slapped some welding putt on the big window to blow it open quickly. It'll provide the perfect delay to make this plan work. "Oya. On your mark, bossman." he muttered over his commlink. All that was needed now was for Revy to get in position and for the word to be given.

His rifle rested on his forearm while his finger hovered over the detonation button on his vambrace.

Revy wasn't one to disagree with someone who had been doing this for way longer than here with the rank and marks to prove it. She slinked into an alleyway and climbed a fire escape that had been over looking the drug factory. Her slender, short form allowing her to take a prone position from the 3rd floor platform. Within a few seconds she set up her A10's bipod and was now sighting the facility just in time to get a view of Sumas dispatching sentries with a nice assist from mister stabby. Revy would then alternate between the drone feed, her rifle's sights and the good ol' MK 1 eyeball to survey the area. It looked like no one had caught on to the antics of the Zabrak and were still relaxed. From the few openings she could a line of fire in through the first floor it even appeared that they were enjoying a friendly game of Sabacc. Well then guess it was time for the house to go bust.

"In position. Ready when you are." A deadpan voice came over the comms as Revy undid the safety and her rifle charged to life. As she did that her eye caught movement on the second floor. It was a Quarren and a Twi'lek walking together. Tracking their movements she could tell they were heading for the roof maybe for a private talk or a smoke.

"Sue, I count two heading up, stairwell, 7 o'clock. don't know you're there. I'm ready to engage." Revora chimed in. Retaining her deadpan calmness. Sue would work but it was short for the nickname that she wanted to give Sumas. Something about the guy always seemed very Susan-like. That could come later as now Revy started to squeeze her A10's two stage trigger. All it would take now would be an extra pound of pressure to send a bit of plasma love to the new pair's way. She was waiting for either Burk to bring the fire works or for Sumas to try something stupid before opening fire. Things were about to go very crazy for their foes.

Burkhart waited patiently. In fact he wondered if he should pop off his helmet and light one of his hand crafted thick cigaras. His teeth chewed the inside of his cheek. He had been smoking more recently and probably could lay off of it. But it had been stressful times of late and the Morling would take whatever kind of reprieve he could get.

The two marauders let him know they were finally ready. He was about to advise them to be not so high up. Especially Revy since because as he had just stated, she did not have a jetpack so she would have to walk back down three stories worth of terrain to then run across the open ground. Unless she had some gadget or ability he had not heard of. He shook his head. Guess it's a learnin experience fer these pups He thought to himself.

"moving" He said simply and fired off his wrist rocket. The weapon had to reach a distance of around twenty five meters before impacting on the target wall as intended. Burkhart knew the weapon needed to arm itself with a minimum distance of twenty. Taking a deep breath he began bolting across the open space. He had his renegade blaster pistol ready and his bulwark shield up. If the other two mandalorians were doing there job no bolts would hit him.

His jetpack activated when he was eight meters away from the building carrying him through the air and the opening he had made. A few bodies were still struggling to get up but the heavy blaster pistol made short work of them. He kept the weapon raised for anybody else coming into the room to check. One person, and a second followed to look at the injured but they met the same end with a burning blaster bolt in their chests. The breach was more or less secure for the time being. The Morling looked over his shoulder to see if he needed to cover either of the marauders across the open ground while he reloaded hiss weapon.

Sumas waited patiently for Burkhart's word. When Revy spoke up he gave a quick glance. He caught a quick glimpse of the pair before taking cover. "Roger that. Fire with the breach, I'll take care of the other one." he whispered back to her.

When the rocket hit the building, Sumas blew the window and breached. He fired one the Quarren, hoping Revy took care of the other one. Not missing a beat, he moved on, taking out a few more gangsters along the catwalks inside the building before lobbing two grenades down at a few more. Pandemonium erupted in the building. Between Burkhart on the ground and Sumas on top of the catwalks, the gangsters were dropping like flies.

He spotted a team with a repeater moving to take Burkhart from behind. He jumped off the catwalk and ignited his jetpack, strafing through the air and firing away on the team before dropping a grenade on them for good measure. He wasn't sure how good a view Revy had, but hopefully she could give them some overhead cover.

Between the three Mandalorians, these gangsters didn't stand a chance...

Good night Revy thought to herself as the rocket careened into the building. A gentle squeeze of the trigger would send blaster bolt straight into the Twi'lek's chest. Changing her view from the rooftops now down to the second and first floor scanning the windows. Glass cracked and sizzled as she she fired a few shots at the gangsters assembling to fire upon on the charging Morling. They were down as easy as 1 2 3. This was going smoothly for everyone. Sumas quickly took to the skies flanking a repeater team behind Burk. Revy spotted 2 gangsters moving to fire on the flying bullseye. Another two shots and they were down.

Something caught her eye as now the thugs started realizing there was a sniper covering the two breachers. Wild inaccurate blaster fire started to careen in the general direction of the Cathar who just remained ice cold knowing that with the lack of good long range sights and the dark would make hitting her difficult. That and now they would also need to contend with a huge morling and a crazy Zabrak. Then something caught her eye. A silhouette moving with a long narrow cylindrical tube... Kark!

"Possible PIPE movement, 1st floor, windows by the main entrance." Revy fired harassing shots at the gunner but failed to get a hit. Whoever this was they were smart keeping their movements quick and their exposure time to a minimum. Her A10 clicked dry as hot smoke started to fume out the barrel. Her stay on this fire escape was starting to reach it's expiration date. Revora slung the rifle over her her back and took out some rope she had on her that had a durasteel carabiner. Attaching the carabiner to the railing of the fire escape she shoved it the rope off as it fell to the ground.

"Moving" Revy said right before she swung herself off the railing and grabbing onto the rope in one smooth motion. Now performing a quick albeit uncomfortable rope descent as her tiny frame still impacted each level of the fire escape granted she was thankful for her leg and torso armor in that respect. She came to the stop on the nice and solid ground. If the suspected PIPE user wasn't stopped a rocket would impact the building right around the position Revy was prieviously sniping from. Chunks of rubble and debris now falling. Still the Mandalorian was thankfully intact and uninjured. If the rocket fired though there would also be a devastating blackblast in the room of shooter.

She now took out one of her pistols in her right hand and her vibro-bayonet in her left she began a sprint along for the hole now having to rely Burk and Sumas to cover her sprint along open ground.
