Devaron, Early Evening

They were going to stage a rescue for the rescue they staged.

This was for persuading the Devaronian monarchs into joining the ever-growing fold of the Empire. Having a kidnapping of their precious heir to the monarchy is quite a panicky thing a government can go through, and they will exploit that. The kiddnappers are actually hired by the Empire to stage it, and now it was Markov and his comrade's jobs to resuce the heir from them, and then present the ultimatum of 'You should join the Empire or this will happen again'. Of course, they'd need to massacre the kidnappers to keep the Empire's hand's not bloody; they didn't know that was part of their deal.

Markov and his comrades, Irolia and Osk had arrived on Devaron near an isolated, abandoned temple, where they were directed to go for the rescue. He did not bring his personal troops; only his own sabers to kill. He stood outside of the ramp, waiting for the other two to come out before the group would head for the temple.

Irolia always found forest planets extremely beautiful, though she sparsely showed her admiration. The blue-skinned Pantoran had spent her time with her droid 'parrot', waiting for the ship to land on the planet. Irolia's droid landed on her shoulder when the ramp lowered, as she rose from her seat. She descended the ramp in a relaxing posture, checking her guns. Better to be safe now, than sorry later.

Being the explorative girl she was, made it Irolia almost disappointed in not being able to explore the abandoned temple. But then again, they had a job to do, so exploring abandoned temples, would have to be another time.

He removed the mask part of his armor as he greeted the fellow Acolyte with a simple gesture. "This place is quite the planet... I would interested in the surroundings. Take in the surroundings, perhaps even set up a estate here, but we have a job to do at the moment... and that should be quite satisfying to bloodshed and decept an entire planet..." he said as they walked. The dense jungle surrounded the entire area as the temple was in the distance. It was quite decrepit and and on most days would be abandoned absolutely, but they heard man-made sounds inside: the kidnappers.

He smirked, knowing that the Imperials sent to stage the kidnapping have had their job done correctly. Now their job is not in their hands, and their lives are soon to be used for the greater good of The Empire. The two Acolytes heard a feminine voice in a strained tone: the Heiress.

"Who are you?! What purpose do you have with having me?! I need answers, for I will rule this planet!" It went silent briefly as a loud crack of a whip rang throughout the interior and echoed through the exterior of the temple. "I will... never submit... my death won't do anything... for you..."

The two were near the entrance of the abandoned temple as two guards in armor, wearing black masks, stood at the gaping hole of an entrance of the temple. They were ironically unaware of what fate the Sith had in store of them, and how their orders were partially a lie.

Irolia caressed her droid like it was a bird while listening to what Markov said, "I am curious to see how well they are at playing their part, when seeing us or if they flee by the sight of us" commented the young blue sith, looking at the direction they were walking. Now Irolia wasn't as bloodthirsty as some of her other fellow sith, which by no means meant she was repulsed by it. She just never had the urged to just slaughter mindlessly. With that said, she had no trouble killing and did so without thinking a lot of the times. She saw it as a necessary thing in life and never hid the fact that she was no angel herself.

Standing in the shadows by her fellow sith, Irolia looked around the temple for other entrances for them to enter. Right now would an insidious approach probably be their best bet to getting inside. "I would suggest we use one of those windows to gain entrance from the upper levels" nodding at some of the big open holes, that used to serve as windows. "From there, we might have a better view of everything that happens inside" she added, as they right now, don't really have any idea on what really happened on the inside.

The jungle around them had an eerie, as if it held its breath, waiting for what was about to happen. Two new men appeared in the opening of the entrance, most likely switching guards, as the first two entered the temple and disappeared inside. Irolia looked at her associate, "What do you suggest our plan of action should be?"

Markov listened to his comrade as they inspected the structure of the temple further. There were guards that were diligently watching the entrances of the structure, but they kept having to change people as more cracks of a whip echoed from the inside. Markov analyzed Irolia’s suggestions and the current situation as he devised a action plan.

“We will approach the area you suggested we should take advantage of... those large windows...” he began, more cracks from the inside and more scripted interrogating as Markov gestured Irolia to follow him as he moved through the unguarded area on the side, and began climbing the window.

“When we both get to the old windows of the structure... we will listen into the interrogation inside, and when we see the kidnappers’ backs turned and off guard, we will ignite and murder them. The window should be big enough for both of us to jump through...”

Soon enough, Markov has reached the window as he stood on its edge, his footing on the slant of it as well as the outer structure of the temple. The interrogation became more silent as the efforts of the heiress became weaker as she was getting beaten more and more, and it was physically noticeable. “Let... me... go....” she had gone unconscious as the guards turned to prepare to move her body.

Getting close to the temple was surprisingly easy for them. no sentries patrolled around the temple, it almost felt too easy. Nevertheless, Irolia followed closely after Markov and got up on the ledge of one of the big open windows. She looked through the big open window and what looked like an empty room. Sending in her droid first to scan the area, proved rather adventitious for them. Her droid was small and while it could fly, it had the ability to use its arms and pincers to crawl around like a spider. A quiet beep from 'parrot' gave the green light to enter.

Another crack echoed through the largely abandoned temple, followed by a pleading. "Doubt our dear heir can handle much more" commented Irolia and walked over to the room's door, that seemed to lead into a corridor. The corridor went two way, but both turned towards the middle of the temple. Irolia was normally not a betting woman, but she would bet that the kidnappers and the heir, most likely would be there.

Irolia let her droid fly ahead of them, down the corridor, as she entered it herself. Looking backing at Markov, "lets us save our dear captive from the bad men" said she and smiled with excitement. Her droid appeared before its owner and beep some short beeps to her. "Two guards on our levels, both looking over a railing to the center, where our capture is situated" the blue-skinned sith explained to her associate. With her droid landing on Irolia's shoulder, she began to walk down the corridor, expecting Markov would follow. Coming to the edge of the corner, she stopped and peak out, to look down the new corridor. And sure enough, there stood two guards, leaning over a railing, looking down at the center.

When Irolia got up with him, he had continued to peer further into the window until Irolia sent a peculiar droid in. The droid was quite interesting given it was in the shape of a parrot, and must be used for scouting. When the parrot gave a beep and a green light, he'd assume that the area was safe to embark on. Turning to Irolia, he nodded as she went first, then he did.

The sickly cracks of the whip intensified in volume as they approached a door, which lead to a corridor. Irolia sent her bird droid once again ahead as they waited for its return. He then turned to Irolia when he was spoken to. "Indeed. She's supposed to stay alive, so we must stop it immediately before we end up with dead kidnappers and a heiress..." he said, the parrot returning to its owner. He listened intently to the observations of the droid, which revealed statistics that were appealing.

"Two imperial guards should be easy to take out, followed by most likely surprised guards in the pit..." he commented as the two entered the large chamber. The room was expansive, natural light entered through a collapsed part of the roof as a railing surrounded the front of the circular room. There were ramps that headed down into the pit where the unconscious heiress was. In a quick move, he had ignited his lightsaber as he approached the two turned guards, and said coldly,"For the Empire..." The guards didn't even have the time to turn and shout as he sliced at their necks, hoping that they could not make a swift move for their weapons. He also hoped that his fellow Acolyte would join in combat when the kidnappers below would realize the opposition that just arrived.

Irolia smiled, she almost felt giddy inside, for this fight. It might be the Mandalorian fighting spirit she adopted under her Mandalorian mentor, never-the-less, she felt completely ecstatic. Running closely behind Markov, the blue-skinned Sith drew her two blasters. She jumped on the railing and launched herself in the air outbursting a burst of joyous laughter. Irolia got multiple shots fired, killing two and wounding a third in the arm. Landing safely in the of the open pit, surrounded by everyone on the ground level. The Imperials were in a short time uncertain to what had just happened but quickly went for their guns. Irolia had already holstered her blasters and ignited her own piercing red coloured lightsaber. Drawing the whole group of Imperial's attention at her while redirecting blaster bolts left and right.

The Imperial, while firing at Irolia in confusion, as she was clearly Sith, found cover all over the temple hall. A sort of officer, but more than likely just a leader of the Imperial group, called out orders "Get the heir out of here, this girl is a traitor to the empire!". On command three out of the 10 Imperials, ran out of the temple's doorway with the unconscious heir, covered by the two guards at the door. "MARKOV, GET THE HEIR! I WILL HANDLE THESE IMPERIALS!" Cried out Irolia, redirecting a blaster bolt at the leader, hitting him in the shoulder.

The three guards, carrying the unconscious heir ran as fast as they could towards the jungle. It was almost beautiful from the outside as red luminous blaster light lit up the interior. Though the three Imperials didn't have any time for enjoying the show. They kept on running through the forest, most likely at some type of ship.

Irolia now used one hand to block shots, fired at her, as she threw her hand forward, sending a shock of lightning at the closes Imperial, scaring him shitless. The lightning was nowhere near as powerful as Irolia wanted it to be, but it did its job. Even though her lightning couldn't kill, it would still sting to be hit by it. The man had screamed for a short moment before he got impaled by a read beam. Using the man as a human shield, Irolia managed to get behind one of the larger pillars, giving her a place to breathe.

His lightsaber glistened through the chamber as the heads of the two guards fell into the pit, followed by their lifeless bodies. The Crusader relished in the moment briefly before he got back into the present combat that is unfolding. He glanced to see the Acolyte speed over the railing, firing a flurry of shots towards the imperials, which looked to be 10 of them. They gave off a perplexed aura as they scrambled for their weapons. The officer of them accused Irolia of being a traitor and ordered an escape plan to relocate their hostage.

Having said that, three of the Imperial troopers rushed to obtain the heiress and to escape with her. Eyeing it he felt his adrenaline rush as he went after them right before Markov was yelled at to keep going. He ran after them with dangerous intent, his lightsaber glowing as he swung at the walls as if to possibly collapse the building. He was gaining on them as the imperials followed by the Crusader emerged from the abandoned temple. The sky was beautiful and behind him the red shots and flashes from the inside made the scenery ever-so glorious.

The kidnappers ran into the forest, struggling to maintain the weight of the heiress. Her weight slowed down the poor trooper who had to carry her on his shoulder as Markov ran and force screamed. The three troopers were stunned and delayed by the scream as Markov stabbed the assailant with the heriess through the chest as he yelled,"Your duty has been complete! We aren't the traitors; YOU ARE!"

The last two troopers groggily recovered from the roar as they readied their weapons and fired straight at Markov. Their shots were not precise as the average trooper would given them having to recover from the force. "So it seems that our own Empire troopers are unable to fire accuratly as they should be... No wonder why you were sent to stage this... Disgraceful," he said with vicious criticism. He was toying with them now, and their anger would make them lose their focus further; unlike a Sith.

The sheer among of blaster fire shot around and at the pillar, would make any civilian cover, but not a Sith. Irolia with her lightsaber in the left hand and one of her blaster in the right, counter-fired back at the Imperials. The blue-skinned Sith saw just out of the corner of her eyes, Markov leaves the temple and run after the runaways. Good, he shouldn't have much opposition from the three troopers. Firing more wildly in the general directions of the Imperials, she didn't really hit anything, maybe a couple of the shots by chance strafed some of the men, but nothing lethal. The pillar she hid behind, started to have bits and pieces fly off. A sudden beeping. Hitting the wall in front of her, landed was some sort of grenade. Without thinking, she grabbed the grenade and launched it back at the Imperials. The grenade exploded mid-air. The explosion took a few of the Imperial kidnappers in the blast radius. Irolia was just outside of the blast radius but failed to throw the damn grenade far enough and got thrown back by the shockwave.

Irolia felt the air escape from her lungs, as she had hit the wall behind her and crashed on the temple floor. Everything was ringing around her as she gasped for air. White dots flashing over her eyes. Irolia slowly regained some composure, trying to make out her surroundings. From what she could gather, the Imperials didn't have it much better than her. Some of the men who had been right at the centre of the explosion were shredded to pieces. The few Imperials who had been on the outskirts of the blast, like Irolia, had also been thrown back. Irolia had absolutely no idea what kind of grenade that was thrown, but it was not som standard Imperial infantry weaponry.

With a hand on the wall for balancing, Irolia slowly regained her baring. Not feeling her lightsaber in her hand, she frantically started to look for it. By removing some rubble, she found it perfectly content on its hiding spot and not a moment too soon. As soon as she acquired her dearly lightsaber, blaster fire began again. She only just got to ignite her red coloured beam, when the Imperials fired at her again. Deflecting and redirecting shots for shots as she slowly moved towards to Imperials, who tried their best to dodge redirected blaster bolts, flying back at them.

He heard the loud crash from behind him: The temple just had a major collapse and explosion on the inside. It rang throughout the forest as the waves of it had emitted slightly to even where Markov was. He kept toying with the Imperials, dodging and spinning about their inconsistent shots. He did it with glee, enjoying the frustration emitting from their bodies. The two kept firing and firing, trying to hit the now dancing Crusader. "You should give up now before you exhaust yourselves... I can feel it all... If you fall to your putrid exhaust, then I can assure you... your fate to the environment of Devaron would be far worse than a quick swing of my blade..."

He enjoyed this dance so much that eventually he lost track of the two Imperials, who had ran out of ammo and gave a now extremely fearful aura. The heiress was still unconscious, but would slowly but surely regain her senses as Markov stood beside her. A whisper from her emitted,"Are you... rescuing me... Sith?" then she seized in pain from her multiple wounds. She would stay alive and conscious yes, but too weak to move on her own accord. Markov realized that the two ran out of ammo as he turned to them directly, smirking widely and devilishly.

"Normally, I would torture both of you.. but today I shall be more merciful..."
The two troopers stood in frozen fear of what was to come as they begged to be spared. "Eenie... Meenie... Mittie... Mo! You are the winner!!!" Markov pointed at his right and passionately stabbed him right in the chest as he fell into the darkness of his doom, death claiming another as his own. "Now you... You, you, you! You are the lucky one today, you get to stay alive... but in a state that you will... beg for death..." Markov dived at the other Imperial, his saber drawing closer and closer to his face, the immense heat radiating from it as he pinned him down with one of his feet, keeping an eye on the heiress just in case she would get the opportunity to run. No he wouldn't be torturing the last kidnapper much. He didn't really do anything wrong, but to Markov, this was practice for future sessions.

Only 4 Imperials were left in the temple with Irolia, out of 7 when they got attacked. Two of them blew up by their own grenade and another got crushed by the falling debris from the roof of the temple. It got a lot easier now for Irolia and her enjoyment of the battle showed in her smile. Her hate was fueled by the glory of battle and she charged the closes to her. Irolia reflected a shot fra a trooper towards the Imperial captain, which hit his leg and incapacitated him. The captain moaned in pain as the shot done a fair bit of damage to his thigh. Seeing a quick way to get the last Imperials to surrender, she cut the captains weapon in half with her blade and grabbed the captain by the collar. Using him as a human shield, the last three troopers, stopped firing.

"Good boys, now throw your weapons as far away, as you can, or the old man dies" threaten the young blue-skinned Sith, smiling wickedly at the captain. "Men, I order you to shoot this traitor! Obey your commanding officer's direct order!" He cried out in pain from the wound in his thigh. Irolia slowly moved the blade of her lightsaber closer to the officer's neck, sweat started to appear, glistening on his forehead. Despite their officer's order, they didn't see much worth fighting anymore. Their friends and fellow soldiers have died and they were only 4 left and clearly losing. "Traitors, all of you!" the officer said with a tone filled with pain from his leg wound. The 3 Imperial troopers were guided to one of the temple walls, facing front to Irolia and their officer. The raven-haired woman wanted to shock them with lightning, torture them a bit, but she was pretty winded and ran on adrenaline.

In the end, she just decided to kill them and get on with the mission. Irolia let go of the officer and just let him fall onto the ground before her. She pointed her lightsaber at the officer and smiled almost sweetly to the soldiers at the wall. "If any of you move, your dear officer dies, understood?" She said, watching the three men nod scared. She drew her gun and shot the first man at the wall, hitting him in the head. Seeing their friend getting executed, they started to beg, really beg. Irolia just shook her head, she just told them, move and their officer would die... oh well. "No, no-WAI!~" the officer tried to beg, realising his men had just moved. Before he got to finish his begging, he felt for a few seconds the agony of having a lightsaber penetrated through his back, before dying.

The two remaining Imperials fled out of the temple's door having blaster shots flying around their heads. They ran as fast as they could for the jungle with Irolia following them in walking speed, firing at them. Getting deeper into the jungle, they thought they could breathe a bit. What they didn't expect, was that they ran directly into Markov.

Markov had began his torture session immediately. The body of the other soldier laid in the dirt and had a grisly stab wound, but the unlucky trooper looked far worse already. There were cuts on his cheeks, burns across his armor and body, and a severed leg a few feet away. The trooper screamed briefly, but was in so much pain he had gone into a catatonic silence. He toyed with him further, but then the two pesky escapees of the Acolyte had ran into the area he was in.

Markov turned sharply, popping the joints in his neck loudly as he did it. They stood near the heiress in shock and fear of the pain the Sith was currently causing. “Look what we have here.. more traitors. I assume you thought you would make a run for it, but your gamble had brought you to me. Congratulations, you have found me!” He said, ‘accidentally’ swinging his lightsaber at his victim below his feet, killing him quickly. “Oops.. I think my saber slipped, but he was already in enough pain,” Markov approached the two defenseless Imperial Troopers, getting so close to them he was at a whisper. “He went out quite pathetically. He soiled himself when I cut his cheeks... he was a crybaby... I’m very disappointed, and I will be with you two...” he paused, lifting the heiress and hauling her on his right shoulder and moving her to a tree. “Now that you have betrayed your fate, you shall meet it at a grisly end... now I have duties to attend to for this planet, but I would like to play a game with you two. It is called Survival of the Fittest. Whoever cries first while I torture you to near death, will be killed. If you survive the torture I’ll let you go and live in the wilds of Devaron. Is it a fine deal?”

Markov felt their fear and they nodded with great resent, but they had to or else they’d most likely die right here. “Good. I’m glad you have complied.. now I shall begin practice...” he drew his saber and cut the left one’s arms off then observed from a distance. He stood beside the unconscious heiress, ready to take her. He now waited for the Acolyte to arrive, so he could take the heiress to the proper people for them to join the Empire. His eyes were a sharp yellow as he inspected the surroundings, holding the arm of the heiress as he waited for one of the two to fall apart.

Irolia had holstered her gun and turned her lightsaber off the moment the two Imperials disappeared in the jungle. She knew, they most likely would run into Markov, so she wasn't worried they would escape. Walking through the jungle she started to think of what she wanted for dinner. Any civil person would never think of food if they were in her situation but being Sith, she didn't care. *Hm... I'm not sure if I want stew for dinner, I've almost just had meat stew, maybe some fruit? Yes, some fruit would be a good mix. would have to look into buying some though... ugh and then I have to find a good fruit store, that sounds way to much work for just eating fruit. Might just eat meat stew again* she thought to herself, walking through the jungle with her turned off lightsaber in her hand.

It didn't take long to hear screaming further along, "Sounds like the fun has already begun," said Irolia as she kept walking through the jungle. Didn't take long for her to appear where Markov was. Looking from the already killed Imperial to another looking bearly alive. "Have your mother never told you not to play with your food?" Asked Irolia more as a joke and stopped by the Imperial who had his arm severed. Irolia felt the pain of the man and how much he actually tried to keep himself from screaming. Irolia was almost impressed by the Imperial's tenacity. Looking up at the undamaged Imperial pissing his pants from the sheer amount of terror he was in. A sweet smile formed on her lips as she went over to the Imperial and grabbed tightly around his jaw. Her smile turned extremely fast into a much more wicked smile when she held his jaw in her hand. "I wonder, have you ever tried losing something so very important to you, that you couldn't live without it?" She asked curiously, turning the Imperial as to inspect the ware.

Irolia could already see the answer in his eyes, they were too pure and clean. "This will hurt you much more than you think it will" Explained Irolia and forced the Imperial to his knees. The blue-skinned Sith knelt and gave the Imperial another sweet smile, something that didn't fit the scene at all. "Now remember, you scream you loose" explained the red-eyed Sith, just to make sure he hadn't forgotten it. Without any warning, she ignited her lightsaber and removed the Imperial's hand from the rest of him. Again, Irolia could really see the internal fighting, the urge to not scream in pain. She rose from her spot, walking over to where Markov stood, "100 credits, my guy screams before yours" wagered Irolia as if they were relaxing at a casino.

Markov relished in the excruciating pain his new victim was in. His resistance to screaming was quite impressive though, but it would be soon that he would fall to doom. Irolia had appeared in his vicinity soon enough as he approached the victim again, ready to continue his torture. She pulled a simple joke, which Markov responded bluntly. “My mother would never teach me well. She couldn’t even do it herself. She’s a weakling, and perhaps her ineptness helped me with this...” he stated, holding his lightsaber and swinging it, but stopping before he could do damage, like a baseball player would. “Which one? Oh this one! One... two.. three!!” He severed the other arm off of the Imperial, as well as the shoulder as he kicked the fool down onto his back. “What’s wrong? Are you going to scream and cry, or deal with your training and be mighty..”

Markov turned to look at the Acolyte as she also tortured the other one. He smirked as he jokingly betted with her, but they couldn’t get carried away. He nearly forgot he was supposed to deliver the heiress to convince imperialism to occur. Quickly he communicated to one of his lackeys on comlink. “Come pick us up, now. We have completed our objective.” “Yes, my lord” he responded as his Aggressor Class Patrol Craft would head over to arrive. Meanwhile, his Imperial has broken apart by the time he was done with his call, and he quickly beheaded the victim, feeling impatient.

His ship landed about 10 min later as he finished his part of the torture.
“Yours wins.. we have to go now” he ordered to the other Acolyte as he picked up, and hauled the now awakening heiress on his shoulder to the ship. When they had entered the ship, he made a call to the monarchy of Devaron.

“The deed has been done.. we have rescued your heiress; now join the empire.. I promise we shall not let this occur ever again..” he called into his comlink.

“Request granted. Devaron shall join, For The Empire”

For The Empire indeed. Just another planet being inserted into the ever expanding fold of the Sith Empire.
