The starliner was already visible as their shuttle headed for the orbital port. Tickets had cost a fortune, but neither Kara nor Val had more than a backpack of stuff so that at least saved on the extra baggage fees. Their last job on their homeplanet of Byblos had finished just a few hours prior and the two women were in a rush to get offworld, knowing what was coming. Soon the Sith would attack a Republic blacksite on Byblos to rescue the two Sith Lords that had been captured in the failed invasion. The second word would reach the air-defense systems and military command it wouldn't be farfetched to think the entire planet would go in lockdown, six hours later and the rangers would find that the cleaning crew of that night had carried fake I.D.'s and their mugshots would be all over the Republic. Needless to say, but they had to get offworld stat and the first starliner to go was the one travelling the Corellian Run.

End destination was the planet Ryloth. Planets of Twi'leks, part of the Intergalactic Space Consortium and traditionally a target of both pirates and slavers. It also had rather unchecked wilds and harsh living conditions outside of the cities. It was the perfect place to start their careers as intergalactic mercs and hide from those pesky Sector Rangers.

Considering she woke up in her own puke the day before and had a long day of prep for an adrenaline-fueled night, Kara had dozed off the second the shuttle had departed for the orbital station. She was beat. Her entire body was sore, her eyelids heavy as a pregnant bantha and her mouth so dry she felt like drowning in Corellian whiskey. Two more hours. 120 minutes. That was the time they needed to wait on the orbital station before they could board the starliner and go straight for either the high-end bar or their first-class shared twin-bed room.

Just as Kara's dropped open to make room to drool on her tunic, the shuttle's intercom buzzed to life:

<<Attention passengers. We're about to dock with Stargaze Station; the boarding point for the starliners traversing the Corellian run and the home of the famous Sing Sang Club. Enjoy your stay on Stargaze Station and don't forget personal belongings as this shuttle will immediately turn around for the Byblos spaceport.>>

Kara startled with the 'Attention passengers' and tried her best to wake up her brain to register the rest of the message, but it was of no use. "She said anything important?" she asked Val, who was seated next to her.

Almost 48 hours since her last Z's. A frantic night of running from a loan Shark, a booty call that ended with a bit more running and blasters flying at her back, and a highly stressful job that ended with them boarding the shuttle to get the kriff out of dodge. Needless to say Val was tired and had passed the kriff out almost as soon as they had boarded the shuttle. The economy class seats were cramped but more comfortable than probably a good 70-80% of the places she had slept growing up.

All that of course added up to her eyes closing and head lolling over to eventually rest on Kara's shoulder as they both slept. Mouth open and drooling all over the fixer's arm, the intercom spoke and Val's pillow rudely startled.

"Whozziwhaa-shluuuurpcough... Whowhat?" She startled awake, hand reaching for her blaster that wasn't on her hip as she inhaled spit as she jolted awake, bleary and confused. Where was she, oh right, shuttle off world. Looking to her side, she confirmed it was Kara there that she had been sleeping on. She was not going to mention the wet spot on the arm of the woman's shirt if it didn't come up.

"Who said what now?" She rubbed the sleep and crust from her eyes before looking around for an attendant and finally settling on a droid. "Hey droid! What'd the lady say on the comm?" She shouted much to the annoyance of the other passengers.

"<<Attention passengers. We're about to dock with Stargaze Station; the boarding point for the starliners traversing the Corellian run and the home of the famous Sing Sang Club. Enjoy your stay on Stargaze Station and don't forget personal belongings as this shuttle will immediately turn around for the Byblos spaceport.>>" The droid repeated verbatim, its simple brain either incapable or unwilling to paraphrase.

"We're about to dock." She said to Kara, leaning back against the headrest once more and closing her eyes. Not to fall asleep of course, just resting them. "I don't know about you but that Sing Sang Club sounds like a good place to check out." After all the excitement and an account full of credits she could use a drink, and maybe find someone selling a little pick me up to keep her alive for the flight.

Recent events had clearly been a bit too much for both of them and while Val had also missed the message through the intercom, she had her usual gal to shout a request for a repeat and a nearby droid illuminated them both with the missing piece of knowledge. "I think I heard of the Sing Sang before-" Kara yawned and stretched her back and shoulders in her seat. The patch of cold wet drool on her shoulder was hard to miss, but after a she shot a disapproving look to Val her mind quickly drifted as she remembered the things she heard about Sing Sang. "-wasn't that a rich folk's club?" which also sold spice on the cheap on account of it arriving there first before getting smuggled planetside. "Perfect place to take a break from exploiting our folk and powder your nose with glitters," Kara made a throwaway gesture and unbuckled her seatbelt. They were definitely going to check it out now, if only to see what the rich folk's 'Homewrecker' looked like from the inside.

The shuttle emptied in a neat and organized way, aided by everpresent droids and the acute sense that following the unboarding protocol was the most important thing in one's life. It was fine, at least they could easily follow the line of people down to the tax-free shopping centers and bars.. and then there it was, Kara elbowed Val in the ribs to make sure she noticed too. In bright Neon-letters above a wide pink door:

Sing Sang Club

Kara grabbed Val's arm, "Let's show these rich kriffers how we party at the 'Homewrecker'." and no, she didn't mean how she had the night before because that had been an embarrasing affair of drinking yourself into a stupor too fast and waking up in your own puke. Not tonight, for they were only a couple of hours away from diving between the soft sheets of a luxury starliner room.

Though, unbeknownst to Kara at the moment, the tickets they bought weren't for the starliner going for Ryloth... they were heading for Coruscant.
