Auryn's eyes blinked open, blurry vision slowly focusing to see the shade of trees above him, stars sparkling high above between moon and clouds. Groaning grumpily, he sat up and rubbed his head, hand coming away sticky with drying blood. He stared at his hand. Where and why? His head hurt, too many sounds echoing in his ears as he glanced around in panicked confusion. There was a fire, twisted metal alight. The remains of a shuttle.
Bodies were scattered around. Living or dead he didn't know. Then- wait, he remembered- on the way to Kiffar, the Jedi transport was ambushed by mysterious starfighters. Despite his aching head- and the rest of him- Auryn shot to his feet and stumbled around checking bodies, trying not to hyperventilate in his panic. "Hello!?" The sight and smell of burning metal, oil, and wood were extremely stressful to him. He had to stay focused, try to find survivors.
He shook the shoulder of someone. "Hey, you alive?"
