Stepping Back

So, I’ve kept this relatively quiet as I don’t really like talking about my personal life. If this is your first time hearing about this, don’t feel bad, it’s almost everyone’s first time hearing it. My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer five months ago. Stage 4 Neuroendocrine cancer specifically. She was a fighter, and we believed she had a chance to overcome this with the slim group of survivors. Unfortunately, as of this morning, she’s experiencing total organ failure as a result of a secondary infection. The secondary infection wasn’t a particularly strong bacteria, but with her liver having already almost failed from the cancer and her kidneys unable to process toxins, this is what has taken her down.

There are only a few medicines prolonging her life, and in essence her suffering, at the moment. She will be taken off those later today. She leaves behind her mother, her two sisters, and her seven children. As I step in to help take care of my family I will be stepping away from the majority of things that could distract me, swrp included. I’m not sure how long I’ll be gone, but I hope to see you all again sooner rather than later.
