Crisis. Crisis gripped the planet of Adumar, a world sat upon the fringes of the Free World Alliance, one that has held pride in its individualism and independence from the Galactic core. Though that independence had created fractures within the planets Democratic Monarchy, for like all democracies people tended to lean one way or another and as the Galaxy slowly stumbled into all out war, these parties began to form along the lines of which side of the war if any they should join. Firstly there were the Monarchists, men and women who wished to place more power in the hands of the monarch and wished to stay neutral in the ongoing war. Then you had the Libertarians, who wishes to push closer to the Free Worlds Alliance and the Republic. Finally there was the Centrists, those who wished to not only pull power closer to the government but also side with the growing Sith powers, especially the recently established Kingdom of Avillion on Namadii and its surrounding space.

You see the reason Adumar was in crisis was that only two weeks past the previous monarch of Adumar had died leaving his heir to be decided by the Democratic Houses, there were only two candidates though the Kings Son, or his Sister, the parties were undecided on which to choose and which would have more sympathy for there chosen ideology.

It was into this Crisis Darth Caelestis walked, invited to attend the funeral of the previous King the previous day, he had chosen to stay to see what happened today. Though he was not alone this day, looking to entice more members of the Sith Order to join his fledgling Kingdom on the far side of the galaxy he had invited Sah'Ra Ryun to not only visit Namadii but also join him as his guest at the funeral and the debate today.

Sat in the royal box a row of seats behind the two would be heirs and there grieving mothers, Artorigas wore a formal attire, of mainly black to honour the passing of the King. Leaning over to Sah'Ra who sat next to him he spoke quietly to not bring the attention of the three sat in front of them. "So which way do you think they will vote, they have been nattering on for two hours already?"

Events in the galaxy had begun to unfold at a dramatic rate over the past few weeks. With the sudden disappearance of the leader of the Sith, only rumours circulating of the Eternal’s current whereabouts for the time being, partnered with the devastation of Firrerre and the defeat at Felucia, Sah’ra recognized that soon many things would begin to shift. It was a time of change and the war was accelerating. Loyalties would be tested, alliances shattered and new ones forged from the debris. With the rise of Artorigas, now the newly minted Darth Caelestis, the woman found herself confident in her ties to his budding kingdom.

The trip to Adumar had been one of sorrow and pain for the people of the world; the now deceased King was loved and respected by his subjects but with his passing, a power vacuum would ensue. The rightful heir of the king, his eldest son, expressed interest in aligning the world with the Free World Alliance due to the ongoing violence on the eastern half of the galaxy and in fear of the growing threat of Caelestis’ western kingdom. Yet the King’s daughter, who had extended the invitation to the Lord of the Sith, believed that aligning themselves with the Kingdom of Avillion would not only protect them from invasion but would guarantee prosperity for generations to come.

Sah’ra remained quiet for the duration of the funeral, only allowing herself to offer condolences to those who introduced themselves to Artorigas during their time in the royal cemetery. While she was a respected guest due to her arrival with the Sith Lord, she preferred to be quiet and observe. Each member of the aristocracy of Adumar retained a volatile edge, even during the ceremony. The air was thick with suspense and volatility, so when Wessex indicated he wished to remain for the debate of who would assume the throne, Sah’ra did not hesitate in agreeing with him. She too was interested to see how the cards would fall.

Walking into the royal box, linking her arm with the Sith Lord as they entered, Sah’ra was adorned in an intricate black dress. Her hair had been drawn back in to two separate braids that joined at the middle of her shoulder blades with a head piece she had acquired some months back to complete her look. If she was to be the guest of a King, she desired to look the part. They would sit together and observe the deliberations quietly, the constant back and forth of the nobles growing increasingly tiresome and boring.

”The boy is charismatic and devout to his beliefs. He is most certainly a leader but his choices would be a hindrance to your progression, I’m afraid. The girl…” Sah’ra paused for a moment, huffing slightly though a small smirk played with the corner of her lips. ”She’s weak willed and unlikely to garner much support. Her ideals coincide with your plans but she’d only make a suitable puppet Queen…” Her words trailed off. Adumar was a potential resource that could not be ignored; their production of missile heads and proton torpedoes a viable source to supply the growing fleet at Namadii. If Artorigas and his kingdom were to expand, Adumar needed to be swayed in their favor. ”I’m afraid that without intervention, they may choose to align themselves with your enemies, Lord,”

He gave the women at his side a brief look as she spoke, a warm smile followed as he listened to her deduction of both the candidates for the throne. She was pretty much spot on, at least he did not need to explain anything to the women, instead looking back forward towards the politicians he spoke. "How do you suppose we intervene without seeing like to much of an overbearing foreign power?" Artorigas had his own ideas of how it should be done, but he wanted to hear how she would do it.

The floor erupted into a concoction of jeers and half cocked shouts of anger as one of the Monarchists said some rather interesting views upon the Libertarians ideals for the future of the planet. Somewhere along the line of giving up the planets resources to the ore hungry Republic, the little princes ears pricked up at this comment. Something that did not escape the attention of the Sith Lord, was the little prince for or against such a siding?

Artorigas had to duck to the side as Sah'ra turned his head almost being blinded by one of its protruding spikes. "That seems rather impractical for an indoor setting."

Allowing herself a moment to ponder on Artorigas’ request, Sah’ra continued to feign an interest in the debate taking place below. Many Sith would find themselves entirely content on simply walking themselves to the floor, brandishing their lightsaber and decapitating any who stood in defiance of their rule. It was a tried and true method though more often than not it bred a resistance within those of common blood. Conquered people rarely laid down their beliefs in favor of oppression so if Wessex wished to see Adumar align themselves with his kingdom, it would need to be a plan of guile and careful string pulling.

As one such train of thought began to form in her mind, an uproar from the deliberating nobles cut Sah’ra off before she could voice it. It seemed that the discussion had taken a turn and now the point of mineral trade had become the subject of the floor. The idea had been planted in the legitimate heir’s mind to establish commerce with the enemies of the Sith and the window of convincing the noble council to elect the sibling of their preference was closing. Turning her head to the right slightly, thumb and index finger massaging the skin underneath her eyes from the frustration this assembly had caused, Artorigas’ words brought her back to the moment.

Turning to face Caelestis, she simply offered him a playful smile as he commented on her head dress. Of course, a simple threat as a needle of a fashion accessory was easily avoidable for someone with the capabilities of a Sith Lord but nevertheless, it still had earned a soft chuckle from the woman.

”Oh, come now, Lord. You’d look dashing with an eye patch,” she teased as she cast him a casual side glance, more concerned with maintaining an interested facade for the nobles seated around them. She would watch as the Speaker of the chamber stood at his podium, ordering the delegates to settle their debates and return to their seats.

”It is settled then! We shall allow a short recess for our members to digest what has been said! We shall reconvene in fifteen minutes, allow for both Prince Idul and Princess Nufri an opportunity to voice their final comments and we shall put it to a vote!”

As the entirety of the chamber began to stand, stretch their legs, use the lavatories or what have you, Sah’ra remained seated next to Artorigas for a moment, carefully leaning over to whisper in to his ear whilst being sure she did not inadvertently blind the Darth.

”I’m going to go have a little talk with our future Queen. Might I suggest you get some fresh air, Lord? Perhaps ensure Prince Idul’s advisors don’t get caught up in their cigarra break?” Sah’ra hinted at Caelestis but whether or not he did keep the Prince and his advisors separated both during and after the recess wasn’t the critical part of her plan. Nufri was weak willed, a puppet Queen at best, as she had said. And every puppet requires a puppeteer. With that, Sah’ra stood and filed out of the booth with the others in search of Adumar’s next monarch.

Artorigas gave her a side eyes look at her comment about him with an eyepatch a small upturn of his lips showing that he was at least amused by her quip. He kept his head facing forward as the speaker rose and chose that now was a time for the group to break and confer any last minute notes and words needed before a final vote was needed. When Sah'ra suggested that she would speak to the Princess he smiled, for he was planning to concentrate on the Prince anyway, he had a few choice words and ideas that should help turn the tide in there favour.

He waited for the women to leave, the Prince, Princes and Queen Mother departing first with there small group of security. Artorigas was the last one left within the Royal Box. A few straggling politicians looked up at him some smiled, some glared but all where wary for they knew the power that he held. Not only as a King but as a Sith Lord. Finally once he had given the Prince enough time to relive himself and head to the open areas Darth Caelestis stood up and quickly strode out of the room.

The hallways outside where packed, members of the house, there aids, servants of the Royal Family, guards, you name it they were there and packed in like sardines. Artorigas spotted the Prince leave the hallway to the end, though he could not see the boy himself the giant Zabrak bodyguard gave it away. He took a few steps forward and was met by the backs of a pair of politicians who were in deep a deep discussion with there colleague. Coughing into his hand he quickly drew the attention of the man opposite who's wide eyes stare brought a smile to the Sith Lord's face. Tapping his compatriots quickly on the shoulder the three immediately made to move out of the man's way as he strode down the corridor.

No one else blocked his path the crowd parting like the waves before a boat as he moved towards the Prince. The exit he had taken was guarded by two men, they moved slightly to block the entrance out of habit but like the politicians behind soon moved out of his way. The large balcony area they had reserved for the Prince was gorgeous overlooking the city below, covered in flowers of a hundred different shades, a few servants carried drinks to the few permitted guests. One glided over to the Sith and offered him a glass of chilled wine which he graciously accepted. "Time to work my magic."

The busy halls of the Adumar Legislative Assembly would have made tracking any one person difficult for most, but not for a Sith. The Force guided Sah’ra, and gently suggested to those around her to move out of her path, granting her the clarity and ease to navigate through the crowds unhindered. Guards lined the edges of the corridors but their presence grew the closer she got to the southern library, telling her that she had found just who it was she was after. Of course, those who had sworn loyalty to the young Princess Nufri to ensure her safety would first attempt to step in her path but a casual wave of her hand soon demonstrated the error of their ways. The Force twisted their minds like a damp cloth, rational thinking falling to the floor until they no longer realised that Sah’ra was not one of those permitted to see the ‘future monarch’ of their world. Simultaneously, both men grasped the handles of the library door and pulled them open to grant her entry.

Inside, Nufri sat silent at a large table between two of her advisors who were in a heated discussion, so much so that they had not noticed their newest guest.

“Perhaps it is time for us to simply acknowledge and support Idul’s ascension to the throne, m’lady? I fear what may become of you if we resist any longer. He clearly has the support of the ot-”

“Give in now, Broderick? Have you perhaps lost your spine since your last visit to the Core? If Idul is elected King, the Republic and the Free Worlds Alliance will simply take from us what they need for their war on the eastern fronts! If we cannot sway the mind of the council, then we must take the fight to the streets! The common men and women of Adumar must rise up and-”

She had heard enough. On one shoulder, Nufri had a coward. On the other, a warmonger. It was painfully obvious why she had been withering in support. As the doors behind Sah’ra closed, the woman raised her right palm to the ceiling and coiled the Force around both men’s necks, effectively silencing the brash man’s desires for civil war and replacing it with strained gurgles for air before each of them fell unconscious. Alone, Nufri’s eyes shot open in panic as she first tried to comprehend what had occurred to her advisors before turning her attention to the newcomer.

“Who are you?! What have you done?!” she squeaked out nervously, clambering to her feet and trying to use her chair to maintain some sort of distance between Sah’ra and herself. The Sith woman merely smiled calmly and let both of her arms hang, clasping her wrist ahead of herself.

”I promise that both you and your… Advisors... will come to no harm. I am Sah’ra Ryun, and I have come to you on behalf of my lord, Darth Caelestis. We’re here to help you claim your rightful place as Queen of Adamar,”

A glass of wine in his hand the Sith Lord made his way across the tilled floor towards the Prince, the younger man was surrounded by a few of his closes aides all whispering things into his ear it seemed. One spotted him and quickly had all the conversations silenced as Artorigas approached. The Sith paid them no attention and looked cleanly at the Prince before him, nodding his head slightly. "Prince Adamar, once again my sincere apologies for your loss. It is a shame that they force this so close to the funeral." He spoke with the formal noble tone his mother had pushed upon him since a child, it had gotten him a few weird looks when he had turned up a few days earlier. Everyone expected the Sith to have gruff rasp voices and speak with in plain and aggressive basic.

"It is always the case." One of the aides replied for the Prince, which seemed to bother the young man. "May I speak to the Prince alone, one King to another?" Artorigas asked, the aides were reluctant but his calling the Prince a King had emboldened the youth and he ushered the old men away. "They pester me every waking moment. I wish they would leave me to my own desires." Artorigas looked down at the young man, he was seventeen an adult on Serenno but seen as a child in many other places across the galaxy.

"What do you desire Prince Adamar?" He asked, even though he already knew the Prince was strong willed, getting a view of the young man would help Artorigas gather his words for what was to come.

Sah’ra cautiously took steps towards the Princess, not out of fear of a threat to her own safety but rather to display that she stood by her words. Harming Nufri was counterproductive to what she wished to accomplish so her own posture would remain relaxed, subtly coaxing the mind of the young woman to do the same. Touching her subconscious in such a way was a two pronged approach. If Sah’ra could ease the tension between her and the royal daughter, then perhaps she too was weak-willed enough to allow for more intrusive methods.

“Why do you have such an interest in where the crown falls?” Nufri responded, still hesitant though Sah’ra’s efforts had clearly not been in vain as her panicked voice began to settle. “We are far from the front lines of the war. We hold no strategic value to your new ‘Empire’. What reason could you possibly have in influencing our world’s electoral process?”

Sah’ra continued to take slow yet consistent strides towards the Princess, rounding the edge of the long table and coming to the same side as her highness. With a few meters between them, the Sith would finally come to a stop, a gentle smile still forming on her lips. To Nufri, the pause would be minimal between her own words and Sah’ra’s response. For Sah’ra, it would feel like an hour. She subtly dug into the princess’ mind, tugging away at the clouded mess of memories and anxieties to reveal what lay beneath. Needing to search her mind without causing the princess any cause of suspicion or to bring about the pain that such methods normally resulted, Sah’ra would find her efforts drawn out but she knew what she needed lay within her mind.

”My Lord has begun building his own Kingdom within the Sith along your borders, this is no secret. All he desires is to be able to rule his own people, pursue his own goals away from the prying eyes of the galaxy and to remain unaffected by the war. Not all of us are blood thirsty monsters, you know,” Sah’ra said calmly, knowfully embellishing and twisting the truth to serve her own needs. From what she could tell, Artorigas was indeed loyal to their leader and would do as she requested of him. If war was to come to the west, Sah'ra was sure he would comply with their Empress' demands. This was a simple fact that Nufri need not know.

“I’m quite sure the people of Firrerre would disagree with that,” Nufri’s voice had finally come to a neutral tone, the influence Sah’ra had imposed on her mind taking full effect though she did not abstain the princess from her own free thoughts as of yet.

”The people of Denon would tell you that where your brother’s loyalties lie are not so different. And as it was, Firrerre was an act ordered by a rogue Lord and has been publicly rebutted by Empress Andruil. The attacks on Denon were ordered by the head of government that has declared themselves the ‘morally upstanding’ side of the conflict,” Sah’ra placed her fingers along the backrest of one of the chairs that circled the table and pulled it out to take a seat. Nufri, under the subliminal suggestion Sah’ra provided, did the same. The Princess’ face would contort into a frown as she acknowledged the facts she had been presented.

“Indeed, the Republic and Free Worlds Alliance have proven to be just as militaristic and savage as particular Lords of your own government… but how can I be sure that Lord Caelestis is not one such man?” Nufri’s response warranted a soft chuckle from the Sith sitting beside her, clearly she was playing the game of ignorance.

”Caelestis, hero of Namadii? My Lord saved those people from their pirate subjugation. All he wishes is harmony along the western borders. With your brother on the throne, war will be inevitable. We act in the interest of peace,” Interlocking her fingers and placing her hands on the table, Sah’ra locked eyes with Nufri with the most sincere gaze she could muster. ”To accomplish this goal, we require you to rule here,”

Nufri remained silent for a moment as she absorbed Sah’ra’s words. She was already of the mind that Adumar should ally itself with the Sith, that much had been made clear. So too did the fact that her morale had been devastated by the council meeting.

“And how exactly do you propose we go about this? We must convene in mere moments. It is already lost…” Sah’ra simply smiled before reaching to the front of her head dress and plucking the gem from it’s center. Holding it tightly in her hand, the Sith allowed the Force to permeate the jewel as she extended it to Nufri, binding it to herself.

”With this gift I have for you. Simply keep it on your person during the final statements and I shall handle the rest,” Sah’ra never let her smile fade as she placed the gem in her higness’ hand, enclosing it within her own as she stood. Bowing her head, she would release her grip and move to exit the library with the dumbfounded Nufri watching her exit.

The younger man looked up at him, a mixed look of confusion as well as defensiveness upon his face not used to being able to voice his full opinion to those both older and above his station. "I wish to be King." He replied back puffing out his chest as he did so. "Well once you have become King what then? Will you sit back idly and watch your world sit upon an island as the Galaxy spins into destruction around it?" The younger man flapped for a second before catching his words.

"No, of course not. Once I am King I will help lead my people too..." He froze, Artorigas immediately knew why, the Prince was preferring to ally with The Republic and the Free Worlds and here he was staring down a Sith Lord, who's lands bordered his own. Artorigas smiled at the man before asking him to continue. "I believe we will have better financial and political links with The Free Worlds Alliance." The Prince finished his voice slightly quieter than before. "Just the access to the Trade links will allow us to greatly increase our financial assets as a Kingdom."

Artorigas nodded along with him as he spoke before replying. "And what of the planet resources that will be stripped by Republic and Free World Alliance?" It was a question which had already been spoken aloud by many others so the Prince was quick to reply. "It is a price we will have to accept." Artorigas' smile widened, that was the hook on which the Prince will hang himself. The Sith Lord pulled some of The Force within himself before brining a small tendril across to the Prince's mind, he was strong willed so he doubted he could do much to fully change his mind but he could point him in the right direction at least. "If you believe this strongly then I suggest you speak as such during the closing statements. Perhaps strong leadership is exactly what they need."

They had little further time to discuss anything before the advisors who had been slowly moving back towards the Prince got within ear shot and Artorigas subsequently excused himself from there small huddle.

As the gathered nobles of Adumar began to file into the debate halls once more, Sah’ra quietly navigated her way through the crowds and back to the viewing box that she and Artorigas had occupied only moments earlier. She could feel the energies she had bound to the gem pulsate as it moved through the corridors and down to the chamber floor, it’s movements easily detectable when she closed her eyes and reached out to the part of herself she had ‘gifted’ Nufri. The moment was fast approaching when she would open the channel that the object created, a sort of mental pathway between the Sith and the Princess. It was a method she had learned from her ancestor’s recovered texts and one that she had honed over the years. The passive and easily influenced mind of the royal daughter would prove to be a perfect subject.

Patiently she waited in her chair, sharing casual greetings with those who had seats in the same box as they moved to view the final comments of the potential heirs until Artorigas arrived. Keeping her gaze on the chamber floor as the Speaker approached the podium, Sah’ra detected the unmistakable scent of red wine on his breath as he returned to his seat. While she was no connoisseur of fine wine, even she could tell by smell alone that this was not your average schwill but that Artorigas had gotten his hands on something from the Princes’ top shelf.

”Always making friends, it seems,” the woman smirked as she whispered coyly as the Sith Lord arrived, her blue eyes flicking back and forth across the congregated royals below. Nufri on the right, a renewed sense of confidence in her eyes as she whispered in the ears of her now fully conscious advisors of whom were entirely unaware of what had transpired in the libraries. Idul on the left, his steely gaze resting on his sister across from him.

”The session is now to be resumed!” the booming voice of the speaker rang out from the podium, his arms outstretched as he called the chamber to order. ”It is time for us all to elect our new Monarch! Our beloved King had made it clear that one of his children would succeed his throne, though no favor had been shown to either of his kin! As such, it is our responsibility as loyal servants of our Lord to elect his heir! First we shall hear from his son, Prince Idul! Princess Nufri is to follow! Then we cast our vote!”

The speaker moved away from the podium, motioning for Idul to take his place at the microphone. Sah’ra sat with poise, watching with utmost interest.

Darth Caelestis had taken his time in returning to the chamber, even though he was not a member of the house, the planet or the Royal Family he commanded enough respect and fear that they would not start without his presence or blessing. So he dawdled a little speaking to a few people here and there about their opinions trying to gauge an overall view on what the house wanted, before finally returning to his seat. He gave the women next to him a smile and nod as after spotting the Sith Lord in his seat the speaker began.

Prince Idul stood clearing his throat before a microphone droid moved closer to the young man. "Ladies and Gentleman of the House, I greet you here as the first born child of our dearly departed King and my father. Like the great man I seek only to benefit, strengthen and push Adumar forward to greater heights, for the prosperity of our people." He paused for a moment turning to look at all in attendance, he paused for a moment on the Sith Lord but Caelestis didn't move a muscle just looked at the man. Idul took a deep breath before turning back towards the assembled men. "In that means, I apologise Darth Caelestis, but I believe our best move is to tie ourselves with the Galactic Republic."

There was a few shouts of discontent from the back of the room. "I understand that their maybe some among you who are opposed to the use of our resources in The Republic's build up. But I believe the trade links and money that it will bring back into planet and government is worth the sacrifice." The boy continued to speak but it appeared he had lost at least the back benches. After a short while longer Idul came to a close and the speaker brought forward Princess Nufri.

Sah’ra listened with closed eyes as Idul began his speech, shedding any further doubt of his intention of aligning Adumar with the Free World Alliance as well as the Republic. Cries of discontent and outrage at the suggestion rang out from rear of the assembled delegates, their anger at the proposition casting a shadow across the remainder of the Prince’s speech. While the Sith Champion knew she needed to save the majority of her energy for what was to follow, Sah’ra pushed past the distractions of the chamber and focused on gently manipulating the masses surrounding them. Similar to the methods used in Battle Meditation, the Sith fed the fire that burned within those aligned against the Prince whilst suppressing the wills of those who favored his views. The chamber echoed with the cries of anger from the few along the back of the assembly whilst those who remained unswayed or in agreement struggled to find their voices, undoubtedly shaking the confidence of both Idul and his supporters.

Finally, Princess Nefri approached the podium as the microphone droid began to hover before her as the shouts of outrage died down. Normally, the woman would seem nervous in such a setting but there was something different about her in this moment. Her eyes steeled over as she gazed out across the crowd before landing on the box that contained both Caelestis and Sah’ra. With their distance from the podium below, it would be hard to recognize but Caelestis may see the Princess’ lips curl upwards in a gentle smirk before turning her attention back to the crowd as a whole.

“Lords and Ladies of Adumar!” the Princess declared loudly, her voice reverberating across the chamber with a pride she had yet to display to her people before this moment. ”We’ve gathered here today to decide the fate of our people! Our world, in the aftermath of my beloved father’s passing! Our King, who’s very soul is being torn apart by the conflict of his children over their right to ascend to his position! Our King, who sought to protect Adumar and it’s people against the growing conflict in the galaxy by retaining our neutrality! Our King, who refused Republic rule long before the Sith forces began to grow in the fringe reaches of known space!”

Murmurs of voices would begin to grow below Caelestis and Sah’ra as the nobles recognized the truth in Nefri’s statements. The Sith Empire was a relatively new faction in galactic politics while the Republic and FWA had been flourishing for years. The King had always insisted on neutrality before his passing, this was well known.

”My short-sighted brother would cast aside this very belief the moment he placed himself on the throne! He would dedicate our world’s resources to the Republic to be stripped and fed off to the war effort along the eastern reaches without so much as a blink of an eye! He speaks of wishing to build Adumar to new heights by forgoing our father’s most vervant wish of abstaining from joining with the Republic! He desires to betray not only our treasured King but the hearts and wills of our people!”

Sah’ra remained silent during Nefri’s speech but if Caelestis observed the Princess below, he would see the gem that had once adorned her head piece instead secured around Nefri’s neck as an odd power emanated forth from it. Something that only an adept in the Force would be able to detect. If he turned towards his guest, he would see her with her eyes closed, near motionless save for the gentle movement of her lips, oddly coinciding with the words that Nefri spoke.

The princess would continue on, elaborating on the risks that would come from aligning with the Republic. She would remind the nobles of the open threat that the new Empress had put forth towards the galaxy. That the FWA and the Jedi had openly led unprovoked attacks against the people of Felucia. That with the Republic and Free Worlds Alliance came the Jedi and with the Jedi, came conflict.

”... and this is why I openly declare that if I am elected to the throne, I shall not tie the fate of our peoples to the war-hungry Senate that attacks innocent worlds and strips others of their resources for such efforts! Instead, I put forth the proposal of an alliance between Adumar and the growing Avillion Kingdom!”

The speech continued on for a short while as Nefri offered her closing statements that were met with an enormous outcry of support though Sah’ra slouched down in her seat, exhausted from the effort she had put forth in manipulating Nefri's mind. It was all but over; the only thing remaining was the vote and the inevitable alliance between Adumar and Caelestis’ kingdom.

Artorigas sat still trying to keep a smile from his face as the princess spoke, he needed to stay impartial even though he knew the outcome was only going to lay in his favour. He spotted the stone across the young women's chest, a gift seemingly from the women to his right. She had worked the power of her people well, using that item like so many others to influence the women giving her self belief and the words of a orator.

He finally permitted himself a smile once the women openly announced her intention to join forces with Avillion, many an eye moved towards the King and he expertly added surprise to his smile as they watched on. The Princess' speech continued for a few short moments before she finally left the stand and the eruption of noise between parties began. It seemed clear that she would indeed by voted as the next ruler of the Prince, but there was still confusion and worry about what aligning with Avillion would truly entail.

Leaning over to a local noble to his left Artorigas asked if he would be permitted to speak. The request was passed down the line until the speaker of the House called to him. "The Honourable King Artorigas wishes to address the house." The room quickly silenced and all turned towards the Sith Lord. Standing from his seat he chose not to move, forcing the microphone droid to come to him.

"Honourable Gentleman and Ladies, I thank Princess Nefri for her support and desire to ally with my Kingdom. I understand from the voices below that many agree, but to those who still hesitate I wish to give you some assurances. Avillion will not come to strip your resources, anything we require we will pay for fairly, we do not conscript we only take soldiers who are willing. And we will defend you from any encroach from the New Republic, Free World Alliance or Jedi Order. If you so wish our forces will stay upon space stations and not walk amongst your people. For I do not wish to force any of you to become what you wish to not be." He said no more and after a few moments the conversations began to erupt again below, though the arguments against had weakened significantly.
