The night life in the Big Apple was just as chaotic as it was during the day. The difference was all manner of unseemly people came out to play. As it happened, the local gangs were hungry tonight and were keeping the NYPD busier than usual, keeping them away from the true crime of the night. The crime lord known only by the name of Sin, had organized his people especially for tonight. He and his top seven executives were making a move on Orion industries, the world's biggest tech developer. Their goal; to seize control of their latest experimental technology, specifically their size control technology.

Meanwhile, as Boomer had his hands full with the unusual high skills in the night crime, The Baron Samedi revels in the chaos of the night, however he senses something afoot and sends his top bokor, Papa Ergobè, into the night to recruit Boomer and deal with Sin and his lieutenants. Will the two be able to stop Sin and his seven from comparing their nefarious task? Or will Sin rise in the night?

New York at night was as much as it was during the day, loud, noisy and full of people. While some just wanted a fun night out on the town, others had devious ideas in their minds. The black and red vigilante known as Boomer, sites had his hands full this night.it was as though every two bit wannabe criminal had decided to make midtown their own personal playground. As he stopped yet another pair of cross from robbing a jewellery store he couldn't help but wonder what was going on. Long Huo had been rather quiet as of late, granted the ancient elder dragon opted to stay out of mortal affairs for the most part, Boomer still could've used his advice. He sighted as he heard another alarm go off two blocks down from where he was he had no choice but to leave the yah for the cops to pick up and had off to stop yet more crime.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city at a certain lift overseeing a certain technology building, a sinister force was making their move. Sin couldn't help but grin, Prides plan, while ambitious, was going as planned. Greed and Lust had their underlings causing chaos in midtown and downtown and were making sure that the police were well kept busy, meanwhile, Sin had Sloth pair up with Gluttony to break in Orion industries. Envy and Wrath were on lookout duty, much to their displeasure, while Pride was with Sin making sure everything went according to plan.

"Sir," Pride said in his smooth voice, "everything is as planned, by the end of the night we'll have the most advanced technology in our hands."

Sin was quiet, he had long learned that things rarely went as planned. He nearly interlaced his fingers and started into the night as he waited for the inevitable to happen. The rumors of a new vigilante had him on edge. The person was an unknown to Sin, and Sin hated not holding all the cards. Greed and Lust had done their parts, he had Sloth and Gluttony on radio silence until they were in the clear and Wrath and Envy were due to check in any moment. He would only relax when what they were after was in their hands.

New York city, the ultimate testament to man's desire to shape the world to his whims, unaware that he does so in vain. Papa Ergobé knew this well; all roads in life led to death, and ultimately to the being he served. Baron Samedi, head of the Guédé Loa, had sense that chaos was about to unfurl in this concrete jungle; the prospect of it filled the lord of the dead with much enthusiasm, enough so to send his greatest servant on the mortal plane to participate. Furthermore, the Loa had commanded the Bokor to enlist another individual into the chaos that his Master revelled in...he would do well in ensuring that fewer souls burden the Baron any further. The other mortal, the one who was going to be the one to spark this chaos, was hard to find...but Ergobé had plans to get to both of them, and it involved getting under someone's skin; literally. Scanning around the area, the Bokor looked for the ideal person to use as his disguise; someone that would allow him to get closer to this recruit.

Soon enough, as his eyes scanned the streets, his dark eyes came upon someone that would allow his plan to come to fruition. A young man, dressed in the attire worn by the law enforcement agents of this city. Yet he was alone, stood by the car; he would not be alone for long, such men operated in pairs....especially the new ones. Swiftly, he got to work, luring the young officer to his location. Taking his staff in hand, he brought it to bear; sundering a window into glacial ruin. The Bokor now waited for his first quarry to come; knowing all too well he could not resist.

"Kiiiyaah!" Boomer yelled as he threw a roundhouse kick into a wannabe criminals chest and sent him flying into his comrade and knocking out two birds with one stone.

Boomer was frying tired of this night, chaos was at hand and he was only one man. He was about to slap the crook awake to get some answers when he heard another beak in attempt. Sighing with exasperation, he left to see what the trouble was this time while cursing in the night, steal he had midterms to deal with in the morning. Whatever was happening tonight had certainly come at a bad time.

He came to a halt having picked up a can and let his Ki flow into it, destabilizing is molecules so that it would explode when he the it at the perpetrator of this latest crime. So far he had refrained from using his powers on petty thieves, however he was getting frustrated and feed up with tonight. He had his makeshift grenade poised and ready to throw when he noticed that the person standing in the midst of the broken glass was a cop.

"Sir is everything ok here? Do you have any idea what's going on tonight?"

Overseeing the chaos his underlings wrought upon the foolish authorities, Greed took a savage delight in ploughing his crude club into the cop's chest; licking his lips in the process. It seemed the poor fools knew not the bigger picture of what they were doing; the cops knew nothing of his boss's plans, and that was the way it was meant to be. Here, in this slum, the enforcer would do just that, having made a bet with his compatriot, Lust; how many cops could they take out before the boss' plan is complete. True to his epithet, Greed was a corpulent man of Caucasian origin; yet his flabby appearance concealed his brutish strength, leading many underestimate him. Soon enough, another officer threw himself at the minion...only to be caught by the criminal's hand. Hefted aloft, Greed threw the poor man to the ground and proceeded to launch a vicious stomp into the cop's throat. Listening to him gurgle, the corpulent minion bellowed with laughter before roaring aloud.

"C'MON!!! SURELY NEW YORK'S FINEST CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!"

After that was said, he finished off the cop beneath him; caving his skull in with his club, a sickening crack echoed above the din.

Pulling the skin of the hand as though one were wearing a glove Ergobé then proceeded to take a look into a nearby window to asses the status of his morbid disguise. The young police officer who's form he had taken was fair in stature, with brown eyes and brown hair which had been sufficiently combed. The mortal had been somewhat taller than the Bokor by an extra two inches, thus he was to use his magic to provide him with extra lift so as to fit properly. Of course, the arms were a little longer than his own, but given the bagginess of the man's uniform shirt, it would be permissible. After checking that the soucouyant's gift had ensured that the skin fitted properly, Ergobé began to delve into the man's memories. His name was Daniel Heidegger, he was 25 years of age, had been born in Queens and had been on active duty for a year. The Bokor began to perceive idealism within his disguise's memories; this Daniel had hoped to make a difference for his city. This made Ergobé chuckle, he himself had hoped for such things; yet life had shown him that all that was ashes and dust.

Soon enough, the walkie-talkie had begun to squawk, before transforming into a voice that immediately became familiar to the servant of the Loa.

"C'mon Heidegger where are ya?"

More memories began to sear through Ergobé's mind; speaking of timidness and plenty of submission towards the man that came to be known as Ramirez. Activating his own device, the Bokor spoke, using Daniel's voice in the process.

"I was checking out a disturbance sir, some kids broke a window."

The voice manifested again, irritated as ever.

"Well get your ass back here, we've got an even bigger disturbance that HQ wants dealin' with! Move it Heidegger!"

With those words in mind, the Bokor swiftly made a run for it; the opportunity had arisen he would be a fool to miss it. The authorities would convey him to where he was to be. If the disturbance was as big as he suspected, then his...recruit would be there. An otherworldly voice manifested within his mind, one he knew all to well to be his patron; the head of the Guédé nanchon, Baron Samedi.

Getting closer mon ami, this one will relish in the chaos you make.
