I made a profile, but if I really wanted someone powerful I would've just made my normal guy who can absorb energy and burst it out at people, or have the power of magnetism. If it's in a city those kinds of powers are pretty much invincible, and if the guy who absorbs energy fights the nuclear guy...it wouldn't be pretty for the Nuclear Guy. XD I just wanted a basic guy who uses weapons more than power, harder to beat people, more fun, and I'm not even close to ridiculously OP.

1-Any powers specifically that are off limits? I noticed something about time-travel, what about time manipulation instead? You know, selectively slowing things down, speeding them up intensely so they dissolve and rust, etc. Obviously, planet buster levels are not a good idea, but I'd like some sort of directions. The interest check didn't help much.

2-Robots and AI on the table?

3-Ability to negate other people's powers, at least to the point where they can only affect themselves, is that allowed?

4-Complete illusions, distortions of perception, to the point where they sense solely what I want them to and are unable to break free without disabling the user, are these allowed? (We have people who are insanely strong, I'm going for something more discreet)
4a-This would include constantly active illusions around myself.

5-Can I be immune to the twisting of my own thoughts and perceptions and such, along with having my mind being unreadable?

Also, why do you guys have a separate thread for the OOC and CS? Seems to make more sense to just put them together and hyperlink all of the CSes on the first post.

Technically you can godmode yourself so you're immune to thought perceptions, that's perfectly legal by all accounts, but you can't guarantee others will be unable to break free of your illusions by the same token (you should trust them as a player to be deceived by them nonetheless)

Pretty sure Robots and AI are on the table, and I see nothing wrong with time slowing. Time travel (e.g. bringing back superweapons from the future, or altering the past to mae yourself emperor of the galaxy, not going to happen) is not allowed.

Negating powers is questionable. You should acknowledge their power and try to counter it some other way than a blanket ability that negates it, since different people have different abilities that require different responses.

For negation, I was considering the idea of being able to either 1-Cast a field that prevents any change whatsoever (This field would be rather small), essentially being stasis, or 2-A constantly active anti-magic field around my character (Being extremely small, basically just a few inches off his skin) that stops anything magical. Of course, it(EDIT-The latter) wouldn't stop a bullet or fist.

I'd go with something that weakens but doesn't neutralize another characters actions. No one likes when someone just goes "Well, that doesn't work against me" versus dodging, parrying, countering, etc. If you had a Time Warp Ability, for example, you could slow magic, giving you time to dodge or counter. There's also room enough for a character stuck in your time warp to counter it, so they aren't unduly ruined by it.

Then again, it's no Death Note. Death Note would be badass, just find out their real name and poof, history.

My character would be based entirely around confusion, trickery, and illusions. I'm simply exploring possibilities for giving him something that would offer some sort of protection against the powers of everyone else. Of course I'd never use a blanket 'I'm completely untouchable' unless I was likewise unable to affect them in any manner, and had to face severe costs afterwards.
