FACTION: New Jedi Order
RANK: Jedi Padawan
SPECIES: Cathar
AGE: 23 years of age
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 1.7 m
WEIGHT: 60 kg

CREDITS: 1,000 credits
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Spotted markings on legs and arms. Multiple scars on her upper back.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes.

CONSTITUTION: Sylvaria stays in a healthy physique, constantly keeping her body in tune so that she may be prepared for the challenges ahead. She possesses rapid healing abilities, a natural trait of all Cathar.
INTELLIGENCE: She is of mild intelligence, having only gained the average education on her home world of Cathar.

CHARISMA: The young female is very antisocial, and is rather satisfied being on her own. As a result, she is not well suited for social events.

PERSONALITY:
Growing up away from her family, Sylvaria never trusted anyone, excluding most animals. She is quiet and reserved, staying mostly to herself and speaking only when spoken to. For the lucky few who are close to her, they know Sylvaria to be deeply loyal to her friends, willing to put her life on the line for them. Unfortunately, these friends are far and few in between. The Cathar is also very sarcastic, which can come off as rude to many.

Since most of her life was spent under oppression, Sylvaria has an extreme hatred for slavers, pirates, Hutts, and slavers. When in combat against these foes, Sylvaria can lose focus on what is most important and go into a hate fueled frenzy.

Unlike most Jedi and other citizens of the galaxy, Sylvaria does not believe the Imperium is evil, but instead blames the Sith for manipulating the once peaceful Empire into the rabid and ravenous war machine it is today.
While Sylvaria would prefer to incapacitate the Imperial soldiers rather than kill them, she knows that that ideology is a one way street and that the Imperial soldiers would kill her in seconds.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born in the year 1,000 ABY, on the planet Cathar located in the Outer Rim, Sylvaria Pho was born in a litter of two sisters and three brothers. The youngest and smallest, she always had a difficult time being noticed in her household. While Cathar hold loyalty to one's family above all else, raising six children was a chore of it's own, and sometimes one slips through the cracks, so to speak.

The family pet, a Kowakian Monkey Lizard by the name of Juju, was her primary friend for the early years of her life, the two of them forming a strong attachment towards each other immediately. This is when Sylvaria began to realize she could feel Juju's emotions, his needs and wants. It was a strange feeling, completely foreign to the girl, so she never told her family the secret.

The planet Cathar was mostly barren, many of it's once proud and tall forest having been consumed by the imposing Kiltik Beetles. As a result, all Cathar lived in massive tree cities located far apart in the barren savannahs of their planet. In order to keep in touch and trade with one another, they would routinely send trade caravans between the cites for food and supplies. Sylvaria's father, a trained warrior, was assigned to help guard one of these trade caravans.

Sylvaria, ever the eager explorer, joined her father on the long journey to the nearest tree city. But as fate would have it, their journey did not go smoothly. During the night the caravan was ambushed by a Kiltik Beetle, their entire species having thought to been extinct for millennia. The Kiltik charged the caravan, destroying many of the much needed supplies! As the insect began to rear it's ugly head towards the caravan where Sylvaria and her father were stationed, she felt the need to calm the creature, to ease it's frustration. This sensation was similar to the feeling she received anytime Juju was injured or in danger.

With outstretched hands the young girl spoke to the beetle, unknowingly allowing the Force to flow through her and into the beetle. Sylvaria knew now was the time to reveal her gift to others, or they would all die unnecessary deaths. After moments of tense silence, the Kiltik retreated back to it's underground nest, the urge to destroy the Cathar wiped clean from it's mind. Many Cathar knew the girl's gift was indeed the Force. It was decided once she passed the Blood Hunt, she would be sent to the Jedi Temple for training.

Years went by, with Sylvaria counting the days until the Blood Hunt. Once each year, when a group of Cathar turned of age, they were sent to clear the homes of the Giant Horned Hopper. They monstrous horned rodents that reproduced at an alarming rate as well as eating what little crops did grow on Cathar. This excersice would help relieve them of pent up negative emotions, thereby purging their souls of hate. On the day of the Hunt as all were preparing for the trial, a group of slavers descended upon the city in their ships. Their goal: to find Cathar women and sell them on the slave market where they would fetch a nice price. The ensuing battle raged on for hours until the Cathar men were defeated, many injured and even more dead.

Along with her mother, sisters and other women that had not escaped, the fighting, she was bound, gagged and stuffed into the slaver ship. That was the last time Sylvaria would ever see her home. The retreating image of her injured father and frightened brothers was forever etched onto her mind.

Sylvaria was 7 when she was taken away from her family, her home, her entire childhood and all the peaceful memories it contained. She was young and terrified of slavers, but her mother and father had taught her to be aware of her surroundings, to keep calm in the face of danger. That was the only way the adolescent Cathar would survive this new ordeal. In order to prevent riots and escape plans, the slavers split all family members up, including Sylvaria and her family, enroute to their destination. For all she knew, this would be the last time she would be with her siblings and mother. Unfortunately for Sylvaria, days later she would realize that her worst fears had come to fruition. Little did Sylvaria know that she would be spending the next 3 years of her life on one of the most infamous planets in the galaxy.

Tatooine.

For months Sylvaria was sent to slave auctions all over the scorching planet, and yet no one would offer to buy her. What use would they have for a young Cathar female? There were plenty of slaves available that were far more useful. Eventually her slave master, surprisingly a Wookie, would forfeit his efforts to sell the unwanted girl and kept her for himself, using the girl as a maid and caretaker. The Wookie was unforgiving in his "hospitality" and would often beat the girl in a twisted form of glee. His choice of weapon, a whip, became the target of Sylvaria's hatred, her desire to keep pushing forward until the day the tables would turn, and he would know her suffering. This was just the beginning of a dangerous path, a path of Darkness and Despair that few could turn from. She had only begun to dip her toe into the pool of the Dark Side.

Over the next 3 years Sylvaria's mindset began to change. She no longer saw herself as a victim or a mere servant. She was more than that and she would prove it to her fellow slaves, even if it meant that would be the last thing she did. Since she was her masters most trusted aid, she had clearance to every room of the the slave traders headquarters. Whenever her master was training the slavers in the combat technique of Martial Arts, she would sneak in to spy on them and later on practice the combat moves for herself. She found that she was very proficient at it, and would later teach the other slaves how to defend themselves and attack. Sylvaria had a plan for escape, but she could not do it alone.

Around her tenth birthday, the uprising began! Slaves all over the compound manage to break free of their binds, cuffs, and cages to attack their oppressors. While they had no weapons at first, the slaves outmatched the slavers 3 to 1, odds no doubt in their favor. The skirmish only lasted for a few minutes, and once the smoke cleared it was safe to say the slaves had successfully revolted.

With the rest of his comrades either dead or imprisoned, only the head master remained. Sylvaria brung him to the main courtyard of the compound where the gallows were located. The slavers would hang any slave who underperformed their duties or disobey their "betters". This in turn would keep the others in line, albeit temporarily.

With cries of approval from the crowd, the Wookie was punished with his whip, and was then hung with it, an extremely dark end to his life.

Sylvaria and the slaves began the long trek to the nearest city, the hive of scum and villainy that was Mos Eisly. There, they went their separate ways, some moving on to Mos Espa or Anchorhead. Others left Tattooine completely. While Sylvaria was the mastermind behind the uprising, she didn't think about what she would do if and when her plan succeeded.

For the next year she wandered the streets of Mos Eisly, doing odd jobs here and there or pickpocketing what she could from the various scum that wandered the streets. Eventually she came across a Twi'Lek discovered the young thief and apprehended her. Instead of turning her over to the authorities, considering there were barely any, he offered her a job in his Galactic Circus. While initially reluctant, she later learned his particular circus specialized in exotic animals from all corners of the galaxy.

More coming soon...

FORCE POWERS:
Animal Friendship - Allows the user to control and befriend an animal once calmed or subdued. Sylvaria learned this power over time due to her time tending the animals for the circus. (Expert)

Force Speed - Speed is a natural trait of the Cathar, therefore Sylvaria was easily able to augment hers. (Apprentice)

Force Sight - A basic Force ability, Force Sight grants Sylvaria the ability see in the dark as well through certain walls, granted they are not that thick. (Apprentice)

Force Healing - Sylvaria gained this ability during her time in the circus, using it to take care of the abused animals in secret. Can heal only small wounds on others, not herself. (Novice)

Telekinesis - Learned from Knight Khivas Carrick and aided Padawan Var Sharan, Sylvaria has a basic knowledge of telekinesis. Only capable of lifting small objects.
(Novice)

SKILLS:
Animal Knowledge - Sylvaria is a big admirer of animals of all kinds, and has studied their diets, habits, anatomy, and behavior patterns extensively. This knowledge can be put to use when tracking animals, or when doing first aid on Whiplash and Melody.

Tracker - Sylvaria is capable of tracking sentients and non-sentients through the wilderness, making her more suitable to wilderness operations.

Marksmen - Highly accurate with a bow and arrow. This also applies to some guns, notably sniper rifles.

Martial Artist - Cathar have retractable claws capable of killing Human or Near-Human species in a single blow. She was trained briefly by her father, and then by the Jedi.

Acrobatic - Highly flexible and maneuverable. Can do multiple acrobatic feats without tiring.

Entertainer/Dancer - Sylvaria was kept as a entertainer for a minor Hutt during her time on Nal Hutta. There she learned to dance seductively for her master and his guest. Rarely uses this skill.

Spy - During her many adventures with Anhanka the Greedy, a space pirate, she was used as an agent to spy on his other criminal rivals.

LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:

Shii-Cho - Also known as "The Way of the Sarlacc", Form I is the foundation of all lightsabers forms. It utilizes wide, sweeping strikes to engage multiple foes as well as disarm them. This suits Sylvaria well since her double-bladed lightsaber has a wide reach when in combat.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

Sylvaria is a mystery to most of her Jedi brethren. While Cathar are instilled with the virtues of honor and loyalty for family and friends from birth, Sylvaria was not. She does not trust most people, including Jedi, and would rather do things on her own. She is also some what weak psychically, her body being slim to allow for swift movement. Perhaps her largest weakness would be she is susceptible to anger very quickly, giving in to her raw emotions. This is amplified if her pets are seriously harmed.

On the other hand, Sylvaria is very determined, and once she has a mind set on a goal, she will accomplish it no matter the odds. The Cathar is very quick, not only on her feet, but in her mind. She can analyze any combat situation and find the most efficient way to deal with her foes.

GEAR:
DXR-6 Disruptor Rifle - Sylvaria acquired the highly illegal, and deadly, rifle from Anhanka the Pirate when she escaped from her compound two years ago. The rifle is outfitted with a zoom scope, as well as a thermal scope for nighttime operations. Due to it's illegality and the painful death it delivers, Pho seldom uses it.

Whip - Another souvenir from her unfortunate misadventures, Sylvaria has kept this whip since her first time as a slave. She is indeed combat capable with it.

Jedi Cloak - A simple brown robe worn by most Jedi members. Useful for concealing her identity.

Double Bladed Lightsaber - A self made blade, Sylvaria's blade, Sliver, is blue in it's appearance. She can wield it as just one blade if she so desires.

Nightsister Energy Bow - Used once by the deadly Nightsister Hunters of Dathomir, this unique energy bow was stolen from the corpse of a Hunter who died during the Clone Wars. After some much needed repairs, the bow, named Huntress, is Sylvaria's primary ranged weapon.

SHIP:
Strident Trident - An old Trident-Class Assault Ship, the Strident Trident lives up to it's name. "Borrowed" from her former masters pirate group, the ship is constantly emitting squeaks, clanks, and massive booms of noise as it moves about. In order for there to be a minimum of one pilot at a time on the ship, most of it's systems are automated. Sylvaria can tell the ship what to do manually or by voice command. Many of it's lasers were also removed, and were replaced with more armor, causing the ship to move awkwardly about as it "swims" through space. Recently Sylvaria modified the Strident Trident to house her pets aboard and any animals she rescued while on her missions.

PETS:
Melody - A female Jubba bird, native to Dagobah, Melody is perhaps one of the closest friends to Sylvaria and can almost always be found resting happily on her shoulder. The two met in the circus where Sylvaria immediately took a liking to the bird. Unfortunately, Melody was abused by the circus's owner, her treatment similar to all the animals part of the different acts. After a daring escape attempt which succeeded, Sylvaria would return to the circus months later with help from the nearby locals to apprehend the circus leader and free the animals. Sylvaria made sure to bring Melody along with her, vowing to treat the bird with the love and respect she deserved.

Melody, like all Jubba birds, can sing a tune that is a manifestation of the Force, capable of pacifying all but the most aggressive creatures and people. Melody is useful for scouting, and due to her inherit Force abilities, she can sense most people's deception, allowing her Cathar master to bypass interrogations completely. She is combat capable as well, her small frame, fast speed, and deadly talons give her the power to cut deep into enemy flesh and light armor material.

Whiplash - Named after his whip-like speed and reflexes, Sylvaria's Nexu is perhaps her strongest ally. Unlike Melody, Whiplash does not see Sylvaria as his owner, but rather his partner in a mutual agreement. He aids Sylvaria on her missions, she keeps him groomed and fed. A win win for everyone involved.

Whiplash, like his counterpart Melody, is an excellent hunter. His extra pair of eyes are able to see in the infrared field of vision, allowing him to pinpoint his targets location. While not as intelligent as Melody, Whiplash is still just as dangerous. His razor sharp claws are capable of slicing a Human in half with one powerful swipe, and his tail can be used for grabbing people and objects. Whiplash can also serves as a mount, capable of running long distances in short burst. He does not enjoy ferrying those he is not well acquainted with though.

Whiplash is not as domesticated as Melody, Nexu's being rather hostile by nature. Therefore, Sylvaria has trained Whiplash to resist other Force users who would turn him against her, although this is unlikely to happen due to the deep Force Bond they share. When in larger battles, Whiplash wears cortosis weave plates over major body parts. It is lightsabers and blaster resistant.

The artist who drew that picture specifically requested that other people refrain from using it. Please use another image.

Just to be on the safe side you should get the artist's permission before using their stuff, or stick to another artist who doesn't mind having their work used for this kind of thing. Normally we take a somewhat laissez faire approach to this sort of thing, but echostain/witchingbones has made it pretty clear she's not comfortable with people using her OCs or commissioned artworks on sites like ours.

I'll have her completely finished by tomorrow. I've been typing for hours and I'm pretty sure one of my thumbs just fell off.

Sorry this took so long to get to you, we have been going through some behind the scenes stuff in the Faction which slowed us up.

Your profile looks good, but I had two things that needed to be addressed. The first I am think is just a type, but you have that your character was born in 1,000 BBY and we are in 1,023 ABY. Just want to make sure that was just a type and you understood where we are at in time. The second thing is your use of Form V. This is an advanced form and is normally not open for Padawans to learn. All Padawans know at least the foundation of Form I and usually minor knowledge in one or maybe two (if the faction leaders feel your biography supports this adequately). If at a later date your Padawan convinces someone to teach Form V to her that is fine when done through RPing.

If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message, and let me know when those changes are made and I will add you.

Thanks!
