Planet: Taanab, City: Pandath, 08:00

Taanab, widely known for the agricultural products, ruba steak and so much more, also is home to a stunning landscape. Once Blec descended through the clouds with his Ship "The Synapse" he would slowly but surely be able to see the beauty this planet was offering... The wide fields and forests upon the surface, glaced in the sunlight. Wherever he looked, he would find a farm and either animals or crops on the field. Though was this planet far from only a outback planet with no infrastructure...

At the horizon slowly rose the capital "Pandath" a very intriguing and also very busy city, surrounded by farms and fields. Which gave this city a pretty unique scene, for the ships arriving and also for the citizens to look at, especially when dusk and dawn came...

Looking stunned out of the cockpit, Blec's Astromech "Dopamine" beeped in a very curious tone which got translated by the ship system into: "What are we doing here? Do you only wish to restock supplies?" We are restocking and staying here for a while... I think some of the planets citizens could need some help. Do me a favour and get the other droids ready for medical duty...ok?", Blec said happily and also relaxed by the view. Dopamine answered with a short "Yes sir", while leaving the cockpit.

"Pandath Spaceport for The Synapse, requesting permission to land for a medical ship for longtime parking", Blec radioed to the Controller of the local Spaceport.
"This is Pandath Spaceport, go ahead and land on Platform A-12", said the controller.

As he arrived on the outskirts of the city, he finally could see the full architecture. Wide and round houses, mostly brownish and made out of sturdy materials were mostly present in this city. Only few exceptions were there, which marked probably some important institutes... The roads and alleys were packed. The spaceport was also pretty busy, a lot of ships were landing at or taking off from it.

Levitating over the Platform A-12 he made sure, that he would land carefully, since the droids would be on the loose at that moment and getting the medical facility going... Once he touched down on the platform, he would let the left ramp down and walking into the back to grab his doctor coat and his datapad to wait for visitors or patients in the lobby...

[Maeve]

Business had brought Maeve to Tanaab even if she had found the agricultural world rather boring. She was an urban girl, used to navigating through ecumenopolis worlds and keeping a low profile of needed between Billions of people, but obviously, she was much more than that, too.

Whether it was bountyhunting, assassinations or thefts, whoever paid well would find a skilled employee in Maeve, yet she simply couldn't deny that agricultural worlds often complicated matters...here, she had been hired to assassinate a duo of wealthy CEOs of an agricultural mega Corp.

After several days of careful research and scouting, she had tracked them down to a golf court where with the right, charming words and appropriate substances, she had gotten the job done. Yet, this meant she was then left without some of her most reliable sedatives and given that Tanaab wasn't known for its underworld and black market, she was met with a problem just then.

"Send me the fucking coordinates of this dealer", she had furiously typed into her phone and impatiently waited for an answers of her latest contractor, who had promised she'd get everything she'd use on this mission back. However, she soon learned that he wasn't as well connected here as she had first thought, and so she was slowly adding another name to the list.

Her chem problem remained and while she grumpily approached a bar in the capital of Pandath, she suddenly felt a buzz against her thigh. "There are some issues with our latest delivery, but it's your lucky day. Intel suggests a doctor has just landed. Sending over his coordinates, perhaps he can help".

There it was. A silver lining, yet she knew what this meant: instead of receiving her order, it seemed like she had to meet this doctor all by herself and while it pissed her off, it was at least better than nothing. This still meant she'd have to pay the boss a visit later on, but for now she discarded her bar idea and headed to the spaceport instead. Her jacket hid the blaster and Vibro-Daggers while the rest was fully unassuming- she'd look like the regular citizen and would use that cover to find her target.

Planet: Taanab, City: Pandath, 08:15

Blec Croncu was sitting in his office, as the Surgical Droid "TRAUMA-1" paged him to come into the lobby, since a lady wanted to talk to him. Blec finished the documentation for the last patient he had looked at and then got up, with a cup of coffee. Coffee was pretty much the only thing in the morning that could save him from the lunch-timed headaches he would otherwise receive. Since it was not an urgent page, and his cup of coffee was nearly empty, he finished it and got into the staff galley, to get an other cup. After that he would go down the hallway wondering who it might be... The local police? The local health administration? He couldn't say for sure, until he found out.

Going down the hallway, he soon arrived in the lobby area. The lobby area contained a front desk, where the surgical droid "TRAUMA-1" would greet the patients and immediately start categorizing them into different levels of urgency. There are also several seating capabilities, where patient could wait until they could be seen by the doctor. Also the restrooms are on the right of the lobby area, if somebody has to do... "his business". A slim monitor would show some testimonials of patients with different kind of medical treatment, received by M.D. Croncu. One example would show an soldier with the statement: "Thanks to doctor Croncu I can live my dream to serve my country. With the Surgery he was able to implant a cybernetic unit, that is compatible to civilian and military grade prosthetics."

As he entered the waiting area, he would see a young lady at the front desk... Curiously he would walk to her, looking at her from top to bottom to see if there are any obvious injuries to address... but she seemed pretty healthy. So he introduced himself: "Hello, my name is M.D. Blec Croncu, what brought you here today?"

[Maeve]

Maeve had to use some public transportation before she covered she covered the last distance via foot. She doubted the doctor would straight up sell her the drugs she needed, so she prepared for a few backup plans in case getting the chems would prove more difficult.

Upon reaching the hospital, she first took a look around outside and assessed this doctor's station carefully before she walked in. She wasn't sure whether she was in the mood for actual negotiations, but she'd see about that once she'd actually meet him. She noted he was definitely involved with surgeries, which was definitely a good sign as that literally raised her chances for high quality sedatives severely.

Once inside, she planted a soft , polite smile on her lips as she slowly strolled closer to the front desk. She was half expecting him to be in the midst of surgery, which would potentially make her wait for ages and so she was already drafting plans of how to get her hands on it quicker, but she hadn't even adressed the surgeon as the doctor himself suddenly walked in.

Jackpot. She briefly and inconspicuously looked him up at down, noticing he was definitely well groomed, but given that he was most certainly stupidly rich, it didn't surprise her. He was relatively athletic and tall - that was a slight problem for a few of her plans, but she was confident she could take him on easily still.

Her delicate features betrayed nothing of her scrutinizing analysis of his physique, and as he adressed her politely, she gave him a warm smile. "Oh! What a pleasure to meet you, Doctor Croncu. I wasn't sure whether I'd meet you here this early". So improvisation it was, but at least it seemed like she'd achieve her goal quicker.

"My name is Layla Voss. I've heard so many good things about you...would it be possible to...chat somewhere more private?". She didn't want any possible patients walk in and didn't need medical droids close by. "I promise I won't need more than a few minutes of your precious time".

Blec giggled a bit, after the young lady mentioned that she wasn't sure if he would be available this early... He wouldn't interrupt though and listened to her. As she made her request to meet somewhere private, he of course would allow her to do so, since there are certain topics a patient would be too embarrassed to talk about in public.

"Well Ms. Voss, then follow me to the office.", he would say, while turning his back on her and leading the way into the office. The blast-door to the office could only be opened with his keycard, which he carried closely at the belt.

After the blast-door opened, he went to the left into the office, where a spacious desk as well as a couch, a large screen and other stylish furniture could be seen. He went around his desk and sat down on the office chair. He made an offering hand gesture to the 2 chairs that were placed in front of the desk, opposite to him and said: "Please have a seat, Ms. Voss... tell me, how can I help you." Curiously he awaited the answer from the fairly healthy looking young woman...

[Maeve]

The doctor chuckled and she couldn't help but think 'you fool'. Hadn't he taken his vows and pledges to always help people? Well, time would tell whether he'd manage to help her before she'd have go help herself. With the perfectly polite smile she followed and as soon as she reached his office, she briefly checked for cameras.

Low on security, no droids inside, so the scenario was perfect. How to play this though...The room was modern, which just confirmed her claim about his wealth. She was certain business went well and it had been quite some while until she had dated a doctor. The last one had financed some nice outfits and even some gear, but she was getting ahead of herself with her trail of thoughts, so as soon as she took a seat, she focused on the presence for now.

He was perfectly polite and asked, whether he could help her, and she slightly cocked her head to the side. "Thank you for having me", politeness was never a bad first choice, but she had so many options that it was almost hard to decide which one to pursue. "I was wondering whether you're also selling supplies...". She settled on asking first, it was the easiest path and usually the one with least struggles. She'd analyze his reaction and would base what she'd do next on it, knowing that her people reading skills usually guided her to the master solution.

Curious about what she would want from him he kind of got disappointed when he got asked if he would sell his supplies... Blec grew suspicious about her agenda, since she didn't even mention any illness or any condition whatsoever... Some questions arouse in him like if this was a test from the local health administration...

Blecs friendly face got serious pretty quick. He leaned back into the chair and crossed his arms. First he didn't want to answer anything at all and just kick her out, but he was curious what her hidden agenda was... so he asked: "Ok, stop messing with me and tell me why you are really here. You kind of messed up in the first place if you want to test me. You come in here, wanting to talk somewhere private and now ask immediately for supplies... 2 choices, truth or leave."

Leaning forward and looking to Ms. Voss pretty irritated, he awaited her choice...

So it immediately seemed like the dear doctor had a keen intellect and saw through her careful questions right away. Whether that was good for him though remained to be seen. A slightly mischievous smirk immediately tugged at her lips though. "Good, seems like we can skip the smalltalk then...". Those were good news for now for sure.

She leaned forward as he did the same, gracefully moving as she placed her hands on the desk. He threatened her? Well, he had no clue she could take him out within a second, but she didn't figure counter threats would be productive. "I just told you. I'm looking for supplies. Sedatives, more specifically and I'm sure you know where to find them".

Her expressions shifted into something far more serious as her ocean eyes met his gaze. "I can pay well. With credits or services. But that's your choice". She'd once again watch him carefully, now that the tension inside the room was already high.

He grinned as his intuition was right about the not so honest motives of the lady. He got curious when she mentioned, that they could skip the smalltalk. As she mentioned her urge for the sedatives, Blec got sweaty... "Fuck, she's a dealer.", he thought.

It wasn't his first encounter with one of her kind, the last one though was far more "pimped" to be a threat. She on the other hand seemed to be pretty collected and concentrated. The last thing he would want would be to hurt her or draw negative attention to his business, since he wanted to maintain the trustworthy image he worked for... He couldn't tolerate her any longer in his medical facility so he tried the best he can do... and said:

"Miss Voss, I trust you, that you are a very... good business woman, but I can't simply hand you off any sedatives. I personally don't care what you need these sedatives for, but you have come certainly to the wrong establishment to buy them. I am not a pharmacy... I kindly ask you to leave this establishment."

He was nervous already. Good. That was where she needed him unless he'd agree to a regular deal just like that. She watched him shift ever so slightly as he apperently pondered on his words and as he did spoke, it sounded like he actually chose them carefully. It was the wrong answer regardless.

"You're concerned about your reputation, aren't you?". It was almost a rhetorical question. He seemed to be doctor, nothing else. No shady business, no dirty deals. All prim and proper. "You have the stuff I need, I'm pretty sure, and I can assure you that no one would learn of this trade. No one has to get hurt...".

She leaned back a little, as if to prove she was still all calm. "All I can say is that I've been sent by someome who really needs sedatives. They won't be pleased to learn of your unwillingness to comply and I must warn you, that consequences might follow quickly". It was a lie, but he wouldn't be able to tell as her face was perfectly unreadable.

"I'm just a middle man and I've peacefully tried my luck, but they'll get those chems by force if they have to". Her tone shifted into a sympathetic one and her features softened, so as if he was concerned about his well-being. He seemed a clever man, perhaps if he wanted to protect his business, he'd make the right choice. She meanwhile slowly moved to get up, as if to follow his request.

He listened to Ms. Voss closely as she declared her intentions. His curiosity ended quickly, as she mentioned that an unknown party might intervene and damage his business. He knew that he couldn't handout the sedatives, because with that he would break multiple laws and also lead a track back to him for whatever they have got in their mind...

As soon, as she would stand up, he would do the same. His arms crossed he looked onto her, shaking his head. His veins start to pop out from the skin, the forehead sweating, his skin turning bit more red. And finally he bursted and shouted: "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! THEY WANT TO COME HERE AND DESTROY MY BUSINESS? FINE, SEND THEM... YOU ARE SOME THOUGH LITTLE LADY AREN'T YOU? CRIMINAL SCUM, WHO ARE EITHER TOO STUPID OR TO LAZY TO GET SOMETHING ACCOMPLISHED. I DON'T CARE IF YOU GOT MISTREATED, OR SOMETHING ELSE. FIX YOUR LIFE AND GET THE HELL OUT OF MY BUSINESS!"

Blec in his fury kicked his chair to the side, damaging the left wall and leaving a bump in there...

Oh so the doc was a little mad? Maeve didn't even flinch as he suddenly raised his voice and yelled at her, apperently still under the misconception that he was the one in control here. How very sad...it quickly seemed like she'd have to choose other methods.

She wouldn't let him finish at all - after he called her a little lady it was over - Maeve drew her blaster within a second and a stun bold would knock out the Doctor before he'd manage to continue raging. She was bored with this, and even if his room was secured by a blast door, extensive screaming might only attract unwanted attention, so stun bolt was the right answer.

Maeve usually preferred her darts, but that was why she had come here in the first place - she was low on chems and so once he was peacefully asleep, she'd immediately start searching his body. Maeve was a woman of keen intellect and so she was certain he'd have the good stuff locked up, so she was searching for cards or keys, perhaps even some codes on him, before she'd start searching his room.

If Maeve decides to look through the office, she would find herself pretty much everything, what an office can offer. Several datapads, large screens, a computer, holoprojector, etc. The datapads, and computers are all code-locked, so the keycard wouldn't help to gain access.

In this office, there is also a couch and a table, obviously to hold meetings there, but also nothing interesting can be seen there...

If Maeve decided to look into the drawers of the desk, she would find nothing relevant. Only pictures of him, when he worked in the Raxulon Hospital or Pictures with happy patients...

Maeve would find nothing else of interest in this office, so she might as well look in another room...

If she would decide to go out of the office, she would have a blastdoor to her left, straight forward would be the patient galley and to the right she would come back into the waiting area...

Detecting that someone had been stunned with a stun bolt was hard, so even if they found him, she figured she'd have her sweet time. There was nothing super interesting on him, but she took his key-card and decided she'd have to find the storage room asap.

She had gone through some drawers and had checked whether the computer was accessible, but she was in no mood for a hacking session, so she carefully slid out the blast door just a bit later, intending to find his secret stash.

She immediately turned left after she had closed the door behind her and was attempting to evade patients and droids both, so she vigilantly kept scanning her surroundings as she headed for the locked door on the left - she swiped the keycard, just like he had and was hoping she'd manage to slip in thereafter.

Well, Blec lay on the floor, like fresh-cut vegetables thrown on the ground, but the stun bolt was simply too powerful, even for a species with two brains.

As Maeve went through the blast door, she saw two galleys on the right: one small for the patients and the staff galley right after the patient galley. Opposite to that was the storage room, which contained a lot of medical equipment and also a safe that could be opened with a keycard.

After the storage room on the left was the droid charging area, but this one was empty since all of the other droids were working in their respective areas. Opposite to the storage room was the doctors' bedroom with a refresher, which looked quite comfy and luxurious.

The final blast door revealed the wide cockpit, which was staffed by the Astromech "Dopamine." Beeping happily in the cockpit, he revealed his position rather quickly when listened to carefully...

Maeve continued carefully, attentively listening for noises, droids and people alike, but for the moment, the coast still seemed clear. Did she feel bad about having knocked out the Doc? Nah. Not at all, actually. He's been an ass, so he deserved that.

At least that what she kept telling herself. She wasn't a woman of regret and so as she passed the storage room, her mind was focused on the task at hand: getting the meds she wanted. Mess and drugs she could use to create her own drugs and tranquilizers, but also to sell them just like that.

Once in the storage room, she didn't miss the safe, and having grabbed everything that had been on the Doc, she had his key card at least, which was why she assumed she could get access to it. Regardless of whether or not that was the case, she'd try, drawing her gun though just in case she needed to shoot someone else.

[The Storyteller]

Maeve noticed that the safe was secured only with a keycard, making it surprisingly easy to open.

Inside, she was confronted with an overwhelming amount of drugs, so plentiful that she couldn't possibly carry them all away. Consequently, she had to prioritize which drugs to take.

The sedatives were particularly noticeable, as were the pain medications. Although these were available on the black market, they were extremely expensive to acquire there.

Maeve now faced a decision: should she take more from the ship, or conclude her illicit shopping spree here?

A huge smirk spread across her lips as the safe sprang right open and revealed a wide selection of sedatives and pain meds. "Bingo...", immediately, she began going through the stuff, selecting the rarest substances.

She knew black market prices well, and knew what she needed to create her own little mixtures, so soon enough, she was all loaded up. She didn't need anything else, but it was nice to know that she had found exactly what she had come from.

Whether that doc would ever leave his precious cargo without any actual surveillance or guards, she didn't know, but maybe he'd learn his lesson. Either way, for the right amount of money she'll sell the intel - perhaps someone else could profit of this.

She immediately started slipping out again, carefully, quickly and yet inconspicuously making her way to the exit. She had quite some time left until the doctor would regain consciousness, but she planned on being off the planet by then anyway.

The droid 'TRAUMA-1' stood at the reception, oblivious to the master's condition.

When Maeve approached the reception, the droid simply stated, 'I wish you a great day. Feel free to come back if needed.'

Fifteen minutes after Maeve's departure, Blec slowly awoke in horror, realizing he had been robbed of numerous sedatives and painkillers.

It was a regrettable situation, but without security cameras or additional droids, he was powerless. Blec reported the incident to the authorities, but it led to no significant outcome.

'This will never happen again,' Blec swore to himself.
