For far too long Korriban, the birthplace of the Sith Empire has been infested with the Mind-breakers after they have driven us off the world and killed our last Emperor, Varyn Rask. Emperor Rask fought valiantly to the end and took his killer down with him. With the fighting slowing down, this is the perfect chance for our forces to rally to take back what is rightfully ours, avenge the late Emperor, and show the Mind-Breakers they made a serious mistake attacking the Sith.

________________________________

With Mandalore having been under bombardment, finally doing what should have been done from the start, the Sith Empire turned their attention to their ancient birthworld. Imperial ships came out of hyperspace and then the Sith began their assault on Korriban. There are two priority locations to reclaim: The Academy and the Valley of Dark Lords.

For the academy, Imperial shuttles and troops have started landing on the surface close to the location as a battle rages all across the horizon. The Mind-breakers were allowed quite a bit of time to strengthen their defenses but they would still be no match for might the Sith Empire bearing down on them.

The mission is simple, to destroy all the mind-breakers that are desecrating the Academy. Of course, everyone should be weary of what they are up against, who knows what horrors lies ahead.

Open to all Sith/Imperials + friends of thereof to jump in. Try posts initial up with-in 48 hours then the DM @Darasuum will be up to post

Korriban.

Birthplace of the Sith Empire.

The last time Tagus had been here he had been landing briefly in his ship to rescue survivors of the attack so that they could regroup. It was a place that reminded him of that failure but also of other triumphs and, indeed, other pains and failures. Korriban was a planet that Tagus absolutely loathed but, then, he supposed that was the best type of planet to be the seat of power for the Sith.

The academy would be his target.

The shuttle he had ridden down on dropped him at the base of the steps leading up to the academy. Whereas other times he would have savored the emotions and taken his time, here Tagus knew that time and ferocity would be allies. The First Blade blazed into life in his right hand as he began to draw the Force to him.

Around him the ground began to crack and dry even more than it already was, what little life remained in the dirt of Korriban rushing to answer to his call for strength through the Dark Side.

He started up the stairs.

Palas arrived at the academy on Korriban with one intention, to avenge the empire he had given his life to. He wasn’t at the original battle but it did not matter, the whole galaxy would be under Sith control soon enough and this victory would just be one of many.

The acolyte prepared himself before landing in a drop-ship near the steps to the academy. His crimson colored cross-guard lightsaber was already ignited when the drop-ship ramp lowered and the Sith warriors spilled out, charging the academy. Palas was last out of the ship, allowing himself a quick glimpse of his surrounding before he to charged for battle.

Korriban, oh boy what fun that place that has been to grow up on, that was a lie and Irolia had a deep love-hate relationship with the planet. On one hand, it held some very intriguing knowledge about the dark side of the force, some thousand of years old. On the other hand, it was the very place she became a servant to the dark side and where she lost any hope of having a normal upbringing. Irolia had taken her squad of soldiers with her, this was the homeworld of the Sith Empire afterall, but her men knew that this might be a one way trip for many of them.

When the troop transport landed, at a fairly fast velocity, by the stairs to the enormous temple, could the Pantoran already feel the presence of other dark side individuals by the stairs of the temple. Unlike the other two Sith, didn't the blue-skinned Sith ignite her lightsaber just yet, as she didn't saw the need for being dramatic when nothing around them jumped out to attack when they touchdown by the temple. However, Irolia did draw the force around her to be prepared for if there was something horrid that wanted them dead.

A raspy voice came softly from a raggedy clothed female. "It would seem they are storming us." It's tone was almost entertained by the daring as well as the humor in a Mindbreaker held planet being the one invaded and not the other way around. She stood atop the stairs. Her metallic left arm glinting in the light from Horuset showing its bare platting without shame. Shallow cuts and wear were clear on the exterior much list the rest of the female's attire.

Her face was tired but very much alive with violent intent. Her lithe form pulled a pugo blaster pistol in her cybernetic hand while her other hand pulled forth a single lightsaber hilt. In the typical sith fashion the blade ignited with a violent snap-hiss. Grains of sand on the breeze sizzled against the energy blade.

The Broken Sister's body language was clearly excited. The trio charging up the stairs had her eyes wide in anticipation. Shifting her armor plated legs her phrik clad shins and calves reflected some of the blood orange light of her lightsaber. "What do you think, Brother"

"Most amusing" The metallic and deep voice answered from inside the glowing multi-holed helmet. The taller than average figure walked forward from the shadow of the sith academy to come beside his sister. His two meter tall body clad in armor. Chains and cloak rustling audibly in the gentle breeze before the storm.

His long hilted lightsaber staff ignited at one end. The grip and obvious size of it hidden in the darkness of his cloak for the time being not allowing others to gather the fact he was intending on holding back. He still planned to execute the job of eliminating these attackers but down at the core of his being he still relished a fight and would not want it to end too quickly.

His right arm, like his left, was covered in phrik weave guards. Unlike his left hand though he began to build up the force. The swirling mass of energy not particularly being concealed. The enemy was the ones doing the frontal assault. It only seemed appropriate he prepared for a straight forward response.

There were guards and troops inside. However they would just be canon fodder to wear down this trio. Both Broken Brother and his Sister were looking forward to this fight and did not want to just waste time and a good opportunity for some quality fine by muddling it with the lost blood of their lessers.

The time had come to do battle.

Two sith had come with him and while he would have hoped for more, he was content with the number for now. He nodded to them in acknowledgement of their presence and then the two figures had emerged. He noted their appearance before deciding what he was going to do.

"You two - face the woman."

With no further warning, Tagus unleashed the Force he had been building upon the Broken Brother as he charged forwards to face the creature. He attacked the creature's left knee, using the Force to yank it forwards suddenly and strongly to bring the creature down to one knee. At the same time he used a smaller application of the Force to push down on it's large helmet, to force the over-hanging top of it's helmet to cover it's line of sight to help disrupt any fine-controlled Force attacks.

At the same time, Tagus came at the brother from the creature's right hand side, swinging his blade upwards and diagonal (from his own bottom right to top left) slash to test it's defences.

It would seem the two Sith other than the Darth were struck with awe or perhaps fear in the presence of their foes. They had probably fought against beings with good intentions, the righteous Galactic alliance or the proud Mandalorians. But they had not faced the Mindbreakers or their thralls before. The darkness that dwelled within them was greater than what they had probably come across in their life time.

The Broken Brother knee had been brought down, slamming into the stone landing at the top of the stairs as Darth Tagus had intended. A bolt of force lightening would shoot from his non lightsaber wielding hand. The arcs of blue energy were aimed to meet Tagus as he made his follow up attack. A grunt of frustration at having been brought to a knee indicating his fueled anger that was shown in the form of the counter attack. However the lightening would not likely stop the lightsaber or even Tagus's manipulation of the Brother's helm. Instead it would be a trade in blows more or less yet still most likely allow him to swing his saber.

Darth Tagus was the only one to react and direct the otherwise troubled Acolytes. The
Broken Sister leaped over Tagus as he came up the stairs. Her lithe body somersaulting over his head and out of reach of any reactive swing. She landed between him and his two acolytes before reaching towards his back and yanking with the force to pull him to her before his lightsaber could come towards the Brother. Her own saber was ready to swing and bisect the man should he not adapt to the change in direction.

Irolia had watched the confrontation between Tagus and the two slaves of the Mindbreakers unfold as she slowly moved up the stairs. They seemed committed to overwhelm the Sith Lord with two against one and while the Pantoran had no doubt he would be able to fight them, but for how long? That was the question. The moment the female jumped over Tagus in order to get the upper hand and most likely backstab him, reacted Irolia.

Having gathered the force around her, went Irolia on the offensive. The Pantoran launch herself from the steps she stood, directly at the Broken Sister, forcing her to choose, between going continuing with attacking Tagus and get cut in half by Irolia's blade. Or stop with attacking the Sith Lord and face the incoming Sith's blade swing for her right side.

Irolia's squad of troopers didn't attack, as their blaster fire in the cluster-kriff of Sith, could only end in hitting the wrong targets. No, Irolia has ordered them to wait for the right moment for attacking. So while they waited for the right moment where an opportunity arrived, went the squad behind cover, lining up their shots, ready for taking it at any moments notices.

Well thank god the other Sith were waking up.

Tagus was reasonably confident that he could do well against the both of the enemies but the fact remained that he should HAVE to fight the two of them at once when he was supposed to have back up! Thankfully there was one thing that he had that meant he was slightly better equipped to handle two on one.

His gauntlet activated, catching the lightning sent his way by the Brother even as the pull of the Sister caught him (even as she herself was caught in a pull). Spinning around to face the Sister, he didn't need to block her slash as she was pulled further back than he landed, keeping him out of her range - but he was still able to fire back her Brother's lightning at her quickly before spinning back round to face the Brother again.

The Brother's position would make any attack slower to start but Tagus would take no chances, his lightsaber coming up to defend himself even as he spun round to face the Brother again and the Force gathering to him again. In total the whole thing had taken no more than a second or two but he doubted the Brother would not seek an advantage.

Palas had yet to react to the battle that was laid out in front of him, for a moment he thought why not let the two sides fight it out? He could witness the great Darth Tagus in combat and strike at the brother and sister when they were both vulnerable.

So he waited a second or two, he watched while Sister pulled her Brother from Darth Tagus’s lightsaber and was then launched in the air by his fellow acolyte. It was then, he drew from the dark side. The force gathered around him as he launched himself forward, his feet dangling in the air for less than a second.

His target wasn’t the one Darth Tagus has suggested, instead he struck at the already knelt down Brother. With his lightsaber already above his head, he executed the jump and subsequent downward strike, aiming at the back of the Brother’s neck.

It would surely mean decapitation if Brother did not react in time, this all happened while Darth Tagus was launching the force lighting at Sister moments after being pulled into the air by Irolia.

The sister's pull was effective with the force, giving the Brother space to breath for a moment. Tagus came towards her but what she had not anticipated was his armament that allowed him to absorb an attack and redirect it. The Brother's force lightening was powerful and as a result it struck her with enough force to go flying into the Pantoran Sith before she could execute her attack to assist Darth Tagus. The two would tumble down the steps a few meters away from the other sith. Their bodies a tangle of limbs as they tried to recover.

The
Brother's attack had been futile and behind his helm his expression turned angry at having his power turned against the Sister. He did not need move to attack Tagus again though because the young and agressive acolyte surged past him, up the stairs to come and meet the large Broken Brother. With Palas airborne the armored individual just jabbed out his hand in a quick and powerful swipe with the force. The acolyte would not be able to change his trajectory as he was coming down so one simple force push was able to send him back down the stairs from whence he came just as quickly as he had come up.

Palas anticipating the collision of his lightsaber to the back of broken brothers neck but was suddenly hit with a blast from the force, sending his body back into the air. He quickly regained his balance, landing on his feet at the bottom of the stairs before sliding a few feet. His lightsaber that was disengaged when he was struck suddenly came back to life in Palas’s right hand, the tip of the blade coming in contact with the floor just enough to leave a fiery trail behind and slow down the acolyte’s momentum before getting to far from the steps that his comrade had fallen down with broken sister.

With Darth Tagus and broken brother at the top of the stairs and broken sister and Irolia at the bottom, Palas quickly put his attention on the vulnerable sister who hadn’t recovered from the blast of lightning. Using the force, he separated the two allowing him to charge with a strike with both hands holding onto his saber which was held above his head, he came down quickly at broken sister. Instead of going for a kill shot, he aimed his blade at her left forearm, hoping to catch her off guard.

Was not exactly what Irolia had in mind when going for the Sister as they collided into each other, crashing down on the stair. Fortunately, she managed to extinguish her lightsaber, before crashing with the Sister. It had been a rather uncomfortable landing and rolling down the staircase and as they would stop was there the whole damn tangled mess with Irolia and the Sister. If Palas hadn't pulled the Sister off of Irolia, would the Pantoran Sith most likely gone with a very traditional fist punching the Sister's face.

Irolia realized quickly what Palas tried to do, so she gathered the force around her and grabbed hold around the Sister's throat, choking her rapidly through the force. While Irolia was choking the Sister, got she up again and ignited her lightsaber. A couple of shot was fired by Irolia's squad, aimed concentrated at the Sister's lower body, specifically her legs. The Pantoran Sith walked closer to the Sister, still keeping choking her violently, not messing around with slowly choking the victim. No, she simply tightened her grasp over the Sister's throat, closing off her trachea, making it impossible to receive breath.

Irolia was not taking any chances with this "Sister" woman, as she had a feeling that if they would toy with her, could the female do something nasty. Also, Darth Tagus was fighting with the Brother.

Well things were progressing.

He wouldn't say they were progressing well but they were progressing.

When the Brother lashed out at the acolyte with the Force, Tagus moved forwards. Rather than try anything fancy, Tagus went with something rather simplistic. After the Brother reached out to send his Force push at Palas, Tagus would cross the remaining distance and use the Force to pin the creature in place with a Stasis technique.

It wasn't very strong and it wouldn't last long but it should keep the Brother in the same position long enough for Tagus's forward lightsaber thrust blade to stab through his throat and spine to immediately paralyze him and cause him harm.

The Broken Sister felt her body being moved, forcefully away from the tangled mess with the Pantoran Sith. She saw that it was now two against one. Her unguarded cybernetic arm was tucked close to her body as her other arm came around to defend that side of her body from Palas's incoming attack. But her body as a whole remained stationary.

The reason for her not moving was from Irolia's force choking. Her neck was held in place as she began struggling for air. But the rest of her body was still free to move. Raising her cybernetic hand, close to her body a flash of light of blinding proportions would let out a short blast of the Force. She hoped it would weaken Irolia's grip in an attempt to both protect herself as well as probably disorient her for a moment. The move was meant to stagger her or at least get enough sand and dirt in her face that it would force her choking to weaken and free the Broken Sister. Provided she was freed from the choke it would allow her to move and avoid some of the blaster bolts fired by the common troopers and deflect the others.

Having believed the champions would duke this out, the other mind broken troops at the top of the stairs opened fire on the exposed soldiers that had been brought. At the bottom of the stairs they did not have much in the way of cover and also were at an elevation disadvantage. Still, one shot fired from the troops landed on her back which just seemed to infuriate the woman. The bolt burned away some of her robes that revealed there an armored plate where the medium blaster bolt had impacted.

Also at the top of the stairs during this time Darth Tagus employed the technique of force stasis. The Broken Brother was imobile. The unnatural halting of any of his movements in those split seconds clearly signs that Tagus's technique was working. But the Broken Brother was not helpless. In the palm of his hand, at his side, the open hand flashed brightly at the time Tagus closed the distance. The Sith Lord was already in motion, stabbing towards the Broken Brother. The technique would not stop the blade but perhaps it would make thee Sith Lord flinch enough to release his force stasis, otherwise temporarily blind him not unlike that of a flashbang grenade.

It seemed Broken Sister was more worried about Irolia then she was of the young acolyte. His saber had clashed with hers, causing sparks and immense heat to form upon contact but it wasn’t enough to defeat the sister who had sent a force push to Irolia which could possibly break the force from strangling her to death but she didn’t anticipate Palas.

The only eighteen year old acolyte had a taste for blood, he held his saber in his right hand while he lifted his left. Broken Sister had made a mistake focusing on Irolia, while pushing her out of the way could break the force choke, it also opened her up for an additional attack. Palas smirked while the air around his hand begun to cackle, an energy formed at his palm and suddenly a burst of force electricity shot from his left hand while he protected himself behind not only his own lightsaber but also her’s. The X the two sabers made on top of his cross guard design should be enough to protect him from any electrical surge and if Irolia was pushed away she would be safe from the blast and hopefully be able to end the scourge in the temple.

Irolia reacted quickly enough and threw her arm up to protect her face, or more importantly, her eyes from the incoming mix of sand and dirt to get into her eyes. However, in doing so, Irolia's hold on the Broken Sister weakened enough for her to break free of the choking. Fortunately for Irolia, it did not stagger her very long as she slid to the side to dodge Palas' lightning attack.

Irolia gathered the force around her, ready for if the Broken Sister tried anything force related attack on her again and reached out again with the force, grabbing her in a chokehold again, in attempt to keep her from counter Palas' force attack.

Irolia's squad reacted quickly to the incoming fire from the traitorous soldier from the stop stairs. Though they were professionally trained, two of them got him, one in the shoulder and another grazed. Both soldiers got behind cover, and so the exchanged of blaster fire between both sides of soldiers began, lighting the orange theme up with the colour of red laser shots.

Tagus didn't care that he was blind - the Force was his ally so blindness had never scared him. However an even more important reason why he didn't abort his attack was simply that he didn't have to. With his vision impaired it would be hard to hit the neck perfectly but that was fine; he simply lowered his target.

The torso of the Brother was a fair larger target than the neck of the creature and Tagus still kept him locked tightly in the stasis even as his eyes reported nothing but bright whiteness ahead of him. His blade would plunge into the Brother's shoulder before passing down and through his torso to exit at the waist.

Tagus would stumble back slightly, pulling the Force to himself ready to defend himself as he began to activate Force Sight to compensate for his eyes. They would be back to normal soon but for now he clamped them closed and felt and saw through the Force instead.

The Broken sister gasped for air at her throat being released in the very moment the pressure lifted. It was desparate sound that could be heard for the first time but still known by any living creature as something she was still as mortal as anyone else. Her stance became more firm as the muscles in her body readied to move. Her head turned in slow motion, her pupiles dialated. In the reflection of her red to yellow iris eyes electricity arched into her face. She had given the male acolyte an opening.

Electricity crawled across her face turning the
Broken Sister's expression from fearful surprise to one of pain. Her neck went taught again, the muscles clenched in her body now because of not only the lightening, but the force choke on her. There was so much pain, esphixiation while being electrically shocked. The death would not be quick, seconds, possibly minutes would go by before this method of death would kill her but there was simply nothing she could do. She was being tortured in that moment to death.

At the top of the stairs...

His eyes twitched, his eyes were shaking beneath his helmet. His pupiles were needle points, open as wide as they could go beneath his multi-holed helmet. Smoke curled up behind him as the flash cautrized parts of his body fizzle as they cooled. Parts of his cloak around the injury had continued to burn and curl as cloth does when presented with fire like heat.

The
Broken brother's head raised from his state of shock. He knew he could not escape this injury. But he still wanted to do as much to this Sith before him. Leg shaking he rose from his lowered stance, slower than he would have been expected to. Standing up the burnt metal of his armor how one could see deeper into his torso slightly indicated just how grevious the wound was. His head turned to look down at it, then it was almost like he realized he had been wounded that severly. The body of the Broken Brother fell back down to his knees, hard, like his legs had just given out, one joint at a time. The rest of him came too in a heavy thunk as the man's powerful body had been made forever still. The lightsaber at his side fizzling out by his side.

The electricity surged from the acolyte’s hand and to his pleasure he saw the pain in Broken Sister’s face. The combined force powers from both Sith was to much for her to fight.

The electricity continued for about 90 seconds, during those 90 seconds Palas realized this method would definitely weaken the broken sister but he would not be able to substantiate the electricity long enough to kill her.

At the halt of his energy he used his left hand to force push Broken Sisters lightsaber away, leaving her defenseless, he would then bring his lightsaber down horizontally across her torso. If successful it would result in her death.
