Taming the Frontier
Part 1 Of the Age of Expansion
@Beta12 (Operations Manager)
The once grand frontier of the Republic, now little more than wild space, brought a vast amount of resources into the Economic Union. After the last great war with the Sith Empire, anarchy and chaos forced both powers to shrink and secure their borders. One hundred years of peace has brought the Republic vast wealth, and for the first time in a century the union is once again able to retake its old frontiers.
The budget allotted to the recently formed Foreign Affairs Committee, chaired by Senator Charon Chanzot, has allowed the Republic to take on the new frontier that has evolved outside of its borders. Through the careful "advising" of planetary governments outside of republic space, the economic giant might once again absorb the resources it requires to envelop the galaxy.
The leadership would like to be updated when roleplays have started, when they are finished, or if they have gone dead. I might be able to help mediate issues if they should occur, such as a missing member or such.

ACTION
Not everything done in the senate surrounds the crafting and later voting of legislation, in fact, a large amount of a senator's job is spent in the field. A senator must represent the interests of their planet in a massive galactic government, doing that requires countless meetings, deals, alliances, etc. to ensure the success of their own planet in that government. While it is true that a senator's job is often safe, countless senators have experienced danger throughout the history of the galactic republic. This "Action" mission pack will showcase a variety of missions that have a chance of becoming violent.
Of course for story purposes, NPC guards, crews, and such are tolerated if not required to make the experience more rewarding.
Terror On Coruscant
Violence is a part of life on the frontier, though it is barely ever televised or regarded unless committed in the core worlds. In the wake of the Chandrillan bombing, in which former Chancellor Chanzot's husband was a casualty, certain gangs in the Coruscanti underground have become emboldened.
These mercenaries, funded through an unknown corporate element, have been granted access to heavy weaponry not seen outside of standard BA militias. Their sole target is set, a dinner for senators and lobbyists that your specific group happens to be attending.
Note: I'm leaving a more descriptive version of the setting to those who want to make this a thing.
- Objective: Survive the terror attack on the dinner. Band together and used your combined skills/man power to escape the event alive. Certain exits can be reached easier than most, involving a rear kitchen landing pad access, as well as ventilation access to the main parking port.
- Secondary objective: Convince a lobbyist to donate 10,000 credits to the Foreign Affairs Committee before the shooting starts.
- Conflict: At least five heavily armed mercenaries prowl the halls of the event complex, they're knowledge of their surroundings is aided by a security camera network found throughout the building.
- Death: Enabled, though as their is no direct conflict I supose only NPC's truly have killing power..
- Required: 2 Senators; Potentially up to 5 Shooters (If anyone is interested)
- Reward: A bonus of 10,000 credits each, afforded to your personal accounts, a medal of extraordinary service, as well as a personalized pocket pistol for future protection.

Mudjump to Mimban
The frontier world Mimbam, though charted, has little other data surrounding its entry into galactic records. With rumors of a possible sentient species, and illegal mining operations on the planet, a diplomatic envoy of senators and heavily armed senate guards have entered the orbit of the world.
Unbeknownst to them and their records, fierce electrical storms that tear along the upper atmosphere of the planet are enough to damage and even bring down starships. The republic transport carrying the envoy has suffered the same fate, force to glide low above the shallow seas of one of Mimbam's main ocean to cool down, and reach what appears to be the most advanced city on the planet.
As your group's transport glides across the open waters, at a snails pace, several large wooden ships are spotted in the distance. Pirates! Prepare to repel borders as these primitive plasma jockying Mimbanites attempt to cut their way into your ship with surprisingly advanced mining equipment.
- Objective: Make it to the city across the ocean and establish contact with the ruling diplomats present.
- Secondary Objective: Fend of the pirate borders has they attempt to gain access to your ship!
- Conflict: Several lightly armed pirates attempt to get into your ship by any means neccisary, often scutting along the hull and damaging it in any way possible.
- Death: I suppose enabled, in another literary sense?
- Required: At least 2 senators.
- Reward: One kyber lightsaber crystal pulled from the crust of Mimbam, each.

INTRIGUE
A senator's work is never done, weather it is sponsoring a bill, hosting a fundraiser for their campaign, or serving the republic in a broader sense, many wacky and zany missions a required to bring Republic influence into the politics of foreign worlds.
Umbaran Election Blues
The planet Umbara holds a chunk of the Greater Kashyyk branch, effectively acting as a middle man for the import of sturdy lumber for luxury wood resources into Zeltros. Unsurprisingly, Senator Chanzot has pulled several strings in regards to this mission, and has assembled a team of diplomats tasked with "shifting" the election results of the planetary government of Umbara.
Though the people of Umbara have elected ambassadors to represent their interests in the republic as a non-member state, none of their candidates have ever pushed for inclusion into the republic as much as Syll Navim. It is absolutely necessary that his opponent, Jas Lon, steps out of the race. Your diplomats have been ever so casually nudged toward a local Umbaran hotel, on the twilight filled planet, where the secrets of Jas Lon might be layed bare.
- Objective: Discover the evidence required to shame Jas Lon out of the race in his reserved hotel room.
- Optional Objective: Stage an incident in which Jas Lon is publicly embarrassed, shaming Jas Lon out of the race without blackmail.
- Conflict: Jas Lon's schedule was not hammered down before your arrival at the hotel, it is highly likely he will return sometime during the search.
- Death: Enabled? Maybe someone will fall down some stairs.
- Required: At least 1 Senator, if you are willing to be lonely.
- Reward: A one week paid vacation on Zeltros, and five free day-pass tickets each to hologram fun-world. After carefully moving around a few funds within the Foreign Affairs Committee Charon has managed to secure two luxury yacht 3000s for those brave enough to enter the Ghost nebulae.

Propaganda 101
This is your moment! Have you been dying to push your political agenda down the throats of every senator in the rotunda? Well now you can! Direct your very own short propaganda piece, with a cast of at least 4 actors, and have it televised across the Holo-net!
Too add in some conflict, two director spots have been opened instead of one, and if two are added they must work together to build their script. The actors must write as their characters acting out this piece, as if it were a regular thread (with the meta knowledge they are acting added in), and could potentially sway public and senate opinion to an issue your senator is passionate about!
- Objective: Create a script for a short propaganda commercial/thread meant to be "acted out" by other Senators characters in a thread.
- Conflict: Two director spots are open, some actors might overact, be stage hogs, etc.
- Death: Enabled, falling sandbags anyone?
- Required: 1-2 Directors, 4 Actors
- Reward: A dinner with the current Chancellor, Gregory Rhone.
*Note: Should the actors list not be filled, outside characters will be sought to fill the roles.

ECHOES OF THE PAST EXPANSION PACK
Lost in Transit
During the last great war between the Republic/Jedi and Sith, many Jedi flagships were shot down over planets now residing in Republic space. According to senate records, one such munitions ship possibly containing hundreds of light sabers had collided with the shallow oceans of Aquaris.
A group of senators have been employed to oversee the excavation team sent to retrieve the cache. Travel into the depths aboard a high tech submarine with the crew. Assist them when necessary, and perhaps dig around in the wreckage with them in aquatic suits afforded to you. This mission is flagged as important, due to the potential boost in relations between the Jedi and Republic this can prove to be.
- Objective: Recover any salvageable light saber cache's aboard the ship.
- Optional Objective: Discover the fate of the specific group of Jedi attached to this vessel, attempt to secure any personal affects belonging to these Jedi.
- Conflict: Demonsquids have taken residence within the channels carved into the ocean coral underneath the ship. Any potential shift in the ship's position on the coral could release them upon the crew and sub.
- Death: Enabled? More of a literary thing again.
- Required: 2 Senators
- Reward: Your very own old, barnacle covered lightsaber. (If you want it, ew.) Possible improved relations with the Jedi order, upon return of the artifacts.
