SWRP, your help is needed. I know a few of you have tattoos. …
My bff has officially talked me into getting a matching tattoo this summer. He left the kind of tattoo up to me, but I am not certain what to get, seeing as it will be my very first one. I know I want something classy, but yet subtle. We are both in a committed relationships so we can’t get matching names.

So any ideas.

All jokes aside, I'd get something you won't regret later, something you'll be fine with on you for the rest of your life. Personally, I'm against tattoos that are symbolizing love between two people, only because my father and mother did that by getting the first letter of their first names tattooed on their arms with a heart in between said letters. Now they are divorced.

Sorry to say but classy is not a word i'd associate with any tattoo, i have 2 tatts and regret them both. Tattoos might have been cool a time ago but they are common as muck these days.

omg the duck hunt tramp stamp is genius. Terribly wrong. But genius.

Edit: Anywho, I've got 3 tat's one of which is a half sleeve on my forearm. I don't regret any of them, but they're all rather complex pieces, each gotten at a time in rememberance of something serious that was going on at that point in my life.

and yes, tattoo's might be common now, but good tattoo's show good taste. Just because some people are dumbasses who don't know how to make decent life choices (yes a tatt is a life choice, it's gonna be there for awhile) doesn't mean you have to be one as well.

I'd recommend carrying a picture of what you want with you for a few months, so you can constantly look at it. If you get tired of looking at it, you know not to get it.

The Doctor is right, you want something ascetically pleasing. Or something that you can have and there is a great story for.

Actually there is a way to test run it the picture is a good idea but get henna first one of the good kinds that last for a few months. Have it and if you enjoy looking at it for those months then get it for real. Or reapply it if your unsure.

I don't regret mine either, a rose and thorns around the ankle.

acturally for one of the characters I designed in 3d she had a tramp stamp that was two crossed DL-44 with a banner wrapped about them with " I shot first" written in aurebesh



fir the record though I have a decent amount of ink, my shoulder blades, calves and the start of a quarter " matsumoto" sleeve on my left arm...my spouse has both her arms in near full sleeves and a knot work batman like looking logo at the base of her neck.

Ink gets addictive >.<



rule of thumb: always do something that has sentimental value or significance to you in some way

never get names done, if even your own childrens names....its....ghetto

don't use white ink to colour unless you have to, and understand that it will fade and discolour pretty quickly.
