TDD: Guarding The Gates

The soldiers the group had dispatched in the forest outside were just an appetizer. Hakon stood in front of the cave entrance having just cleaned the now shiny surface of his vibro sword. He collapsed the weapon with a satisfying click before stowing it. Looking over to his cohort he could tell without looking she was still ready for more violence, as was he. Normally he did not indulge in such savagery but today he felt particularly dangerous. The Lieutenant that had joined them before the earlier ambush had to depart for another urgent matter. Still, the Mandalorian was confident the two sith would be fine on their own.

As he took in a breath of air he reached out to get a feeling for the area. However he was not expecting any more arrivals. The Sith had been a scouting party, originally meant for clearing a way and reporting back. But it seemed that there was a small group of enemies approaching but not in a hurry. There were another two souls that felt far more afraid.

The team that the two sith had cleared a way for were delving into the cave now. Originally Eisa and Hakon had cleared the way for the other Sith that were now deep inside The Maw. But now the two Sith were bringing up the rear and keeping the flank protected. Not the most glamorous but still important. The approaching enemies were probably a hundred meters out, hard to see in the darkness and the trees of the forest made it impossibly to acquire a direct line of sight at the moment. These so called champions of the village were actually just slightly above average warriors though mediocre in terms of Imperial forces. They would not really provide much issue for the two skilled Sith.
