Bajpa, Yuri and Alchamy all arrived to the abandoned industrial area where they'd be training the young redhead. She was nervous and she didn't bother to hide it from anyone that she was.
Bajpa had a paw on Alchamy's shoulder and was trying to be as comforting as possible, this was something all new to her and they'd take it slow. She looked at Yuri with a thankful smile that he'd come along to help her with training someone who'd lived her entire life refusing to fight and doing everything in her power to see that fighting didn't take place.

"Ok." Bajpa finally said, stopping suddenly and letting go of the girl. "We will train here today. There isn't anyone around so you won't have to worry about hurting anyone on accident. And you can hurt Yuri. Nobody cares." the last part being a tease directed to Yuri.

"You aren't getting a gun today, or even this week. Basic self-defense first." she walked over to Yuri and punched his chest, hoping he'd been on his guard enough to have at least tried to stop it from connecting with him.

The ride to the industrial sector was brief, and Yuri enjoyed being outside. He felt like a new man today, he wasn't hungover anymore, he had a good nights sleep and he ate just an hour ago or so. He felt great. For his doing any kind of martial arts or military type training was common and nothing to be scared of, he even looked forward to it. Most people in the galaxy probably wouldn't share his opinion on the matter, only a small percentage actually knew what it meant to be in battle and train your body to become a weapon. With a cheerful smile Yuri followed Bajpa and Alchamy to the grounds that the Kushari decided would serve as their training ground. Apparently there were no people around them, so they would bother no one.

Yuri took a small bag with him, he had a feeling that they would need it from what Baj said. In the small bag were bandages, some first aid kit, water and hand wrappers. Yuri dropped the little bag to the ground as Bajpa said that it was alright to hurt him. "Hey! Oh..." He saw what she did there, but a moment later he noticed how the Kushari took a swing at him, and he quickly raised his hands to cover his face, assuming a boxing like stance. The punch hit him, but it only hit his defense, behind his forearms and fists Yuri looked at the injured Kushari and took a step back, lowering his guard and addressing Alch.

"You should go ahead and wrap your hands up, since you'll be learning how to punch today I'd hate it you broke your hand. Make sure to wrap it properly around the knuckles, ok? We'll start with basic stuff. You!" He addressed Bajpa with a smile. "... next time warn me." Winking at her, he turned around slowly took his flight jacket off, now only wearing his gray T-shirt, pants and boots. Whenever Alch was ready, they could begin.

Bajpa shrugged, she didn't care. "You don't get warnings, Bulky." she joked though her face didn't show it, and she found a spot to sit. Yuri could take the defense and hand-to-hand training. She'd just yell at them when the time called for it. Bajpa's job would be gun safety and shooting.

Alchamy attempted to wrap her knuckles but she didn't know the first thing about fighting, she didn't know how to prepare to fight either. "Um, is... this right?" she asked, showing off a decent attempt to Bajpa and Yuri with a half-hearted smile. Bajpa shrugged, it would suffice. She wasn't the teacher of this lesson however and she left the judging up to Yuri. Bajpa had gone back to her normal, not drunk, self and was staring at the two with what probably looked like she was judging them. Alchamy knew better however and hoped that in the little time Yuri had known the kushari he knew she was just simply observing.

Cracking his knuckles and neck Yuri casually walked over to the red haired girl, taking her hands and observing her work. It looked alright, knuckles and wrists were both wrapped up, so should be fine. With a smile he looked at her and nodded. "Good enough. Alright then..." Letting go of her hands Yuri took a couple of steps back, they needed to teach someone who has never fought before on how to fight. Yuri opened up the training with a few words to explain a bit of the science behind fighting. After all many people believed that when it came to fighting it was just dudes swinging haymakers at each other. However, that wasn't quite the case, fighting and martial arts was technique, will, instinct and much much more. It was an art, and Alch would soon start to learn how to use the brush.

"Ok, first things first. What you will learn here are two main things. And those are how to strike and grapple. By striking I mean that you will learn how to strike an opponent with your hands, feet, elbows and knees and if necessary even your head. While under grappling you'll learn how to wrestle and submit people. I know that sounds a bit intimidating at first, but don't worry after a while you'll see where you're naturally good at and you'll learn to like it. Also we'll work to strengthen and condition your body so you don't get tired when you heart rate goes up. So let's begin today lesson, shall we? But first tell me, are you left or right handed, and do you have any questions so far?"

Yuri observed his first real student, he taught his 'brothers' how to fight in arenas around the galaxy years ago when they needed the extra training and support, so this wasn't all that difficult for Yuri. Alch just needed to dedicate herself to it, and she would make progress in no time. That wasn't to say that it would be easy...

Alchamy shook her head, "But- I don't want to wrestle." she whined a little, holding her hands close to her person. It sounded so... barbaric and just awful.
"Why do I need to learn to... wrestle?" she whimpered, Bajpa slapped her own face with her paw and huffed at the girl.

"She's left like me." Bajpa growled, "You'll learn it because I said so, Alchamy." taking in a deep breath and nodding at Yuri to continue on with the girl.

Yuri wanted to laugh at Alch's reply. Yep, wrestling sucked, but one had to learn it regardless. Yuri heard her ask why she would need to learn it, and then Baj just cut the entire talk and said that she'd learn it because she said so, a little strict for an answer but good as any. When they were back at the apartment maybe they would have a chance to talk and Yuri would explain to her in more detail. For now he had all the info he needed.

"Don't worry about that for now. Today I'm going to teach you how to box. First thing you'll learn is your stance." Even though Yuri was right handed, after years of training he learned how to switch stances and box in the orthodox and southpaw stance, something that Alch would benefit from. Raising his hand to cover his chin Yuri put his right leg forward, as well as his right shoulder. Naturally his right hand was forward and the left a little behind. "This is called the Southpaw stance, and it is used by people who are left handed, because their left hand is stronger and they can naturally use it better and have more power with it. You try."

Yuri gave Alch a few seconds to give it a try and then he added. "Always keep your hands up and protect your chin, this is really important, and I know it sounds easy but you'll see that it's easier said then done. Also always keep your mouth closed, and breathe through your nose." This was all very basic stuff, but considering that Alchamy wasn't a super muscular Kushari soldier who could afford to throw haymakers and was super tough, he would teach her to be a bad ass technician who was very hard to hit. After Alch had a couple of seconds to move around a little and get a slight feel for it they would move on to punches and then shadow boxing, and then some very light sparring.

"Also use your right shoulder as protection as well, your body is your armor. What do you think Bajpa? Jabs and straights next?" He asked as Alch had a few moments to get used to a stance that she would be using from now on.

Alchamy was positioning herself as Yuri had showed her, she felt comfortable in the position, but she knew it was a fighting stance and that wasn't something she was entirely comfortable with.
Bajpa had been watching the sky above them, one leg limply hung over the side of the... whatever this thing was, she was laying on. She was kicking it back and forth, paying no mind to the world and then she heard her name being called, jabs and straights?
"Yes." she said cooly, her head spinning just slightly as she tried not to think of what all she did last night. It was a stupid idea to go to the bar and drink as much as she had. She never should have done it. But then again, it got Alchamy a pet. Might give the girl something to live for other than her revenge. She decided she might do better to pay attention and watched as Alchamy was oddly right in her positioning and so quickly. She looked at Yuri and back to Alchamy. Hm... Might be easier than I thought. But this was only the beginning.

Yuri nodded, good stance. Yeah, looked good. Assuming the southpaw stance once again Yuri threw a punch with his front hand, the right one. "This is a 'jab', it's not meant to be an all out punch. Rather it's used as a set up for a 'straight' or to gauge the distance between you and your opponent. You would do well to remember the names of the moves, since you'll learn combinations later down the road. So again a jab." Throwing another light jab for Alch to memorize Yuri let his student try it once or twice. She would no doubt feel odd throwing the punch against nothing but air. She might feel like it wasn't fast, precise or that it had no power behind it. That was a common thing with beginners.

Still in his guard Yuri now threw a straight, so a punch with his left hand. "And this is a 'straight' punch, or just a straight. It is usually thrown after the jab, like this." Throwing a quick jab, as soon as his right hand returned to his face he shot of a very quick left hand. "This combination is called the 1-2. Now you try. You try, but remember to bring your right hand back to your chin. Try it a couple of times." Crossing his arms Yuri observed how the red haired student would do. It would be no shame if she felt weird, or if her technique wasn't all that good. But if she was athletic and had talent for it, all the better. This was still all very basic stuff.

As Alch had a couple of tries to get a feel for throwing punches Yuri talked to her. She had to learn to operate and still listen, not just shut down and focus on what was in front of her, or going on in her mind. Regardless if she was winning or losing. "The saying here is 'Keep your hands up and you chin down'. Because if you fight with your nose up you can get it."

Alchamy looked back at Bajpa for help, she waved her on and didn't say a word to the girl. She watched her closely as Alchamy turned away from Bajpa once more and girlishly threw the 1-2. "Alchamy..." Bajpa growled, the redhead stiffened and then tried again, this time with more meaning. She did it a few times, some of them she'd forget to bring it back to her chin but would correct herself shortly after. Nodding to herself she watched the human girl try again. "Stay light on your feet." she reminded, noticing her feet were planted on the ground. Alchamy didn't respond but she noticed the girl moved to the balls of her feet.

Yuri didn't laugh or even smile, he knew that only with time and practice those girlish punches would transform. So far so good. Once he felt like about a minute or so went by he spoke out once more. "Alright, moving on. Next up are the hook and the uppercut. Observe and repeat." Yuri demonstrated the two punches, although he made sure that Alch got a good look at how each move was done. After all they were doing this training session for her sake.

"Also try the right hook, left uppercut combination. Try and mix it up a little and then you'll hit a real target." As Bajpa said it, the target would be who better then Yuri. They still had to teach her head movement, footwork and counter striking as well as feints, but for now Yuri wanted to get his new friend comfortable. So after Alchamy used the time to throw a couple combinations it was time for a slightly different drill.

"Ok, now you're going to try what you've learned out on me. Don't worry about hurting me, I'll protect myself, just focus on throwing crisp punches and keeping your hands up. Also don't just stand in one place all the time as that makes you an easier target. After you execute your attack, move away so that your opponent can't counter. Don't worry I won't hit back for this drill. Whenever you're ready." This would last about a minute or so before it was time for a small break, Yuri was in the orthodox stance this time around, keeping his hands high to protect his face most of all. His stomach was exposed, for Alch to punch. The dark haired man wasn't worried though, he could take it.

It was all about providing a real live target for Alch, so that she could get a feel for what it was like punching stuff. And Yuri was happy to help out in that part as well.

[OOC: I liked the girlish 1-2, so I stole it! ;D]

[OOC: :P ]

Bajpa had moved to a higher perch to watch the training from. She had plans to scare the Alderaanian, but she wasn't sure how yet. It'd be funny though. And here, she'd been getting mad at Alchamy for not taking things seriously. . .

Taking up her stance again, Alchamy watched Yuri carefully, "But... I don't want to hit you." she got a bit teary thinking about purposely harming anyone, even if she barely knew him. Not even two hours ago he thought they were married because she'd tricked him! And now he was telling her to hit him? She kept her hands up, but she was too scared to throw a punch. There was a dark, looming presence above her that she knew was Bajpa, but she tried to ignore it and then she heard a low growl from the cat. Alchamy would punch.
She lightly punched at his arm, not wanting to hurt him- even though she had a feeling she wouldn't do any damage if she did hit him with all her strength. Alchamy threw a light jab and pulled her arm back and then pulled her body back. She gave Yuri a small, shy smile and looked to him for some kind of guidance.

Yru took notice that Bajpa had changed spots, but didn't really give her that much attention, as he hoped to do some quality training with Alchamy. But so far the Alderaan born girl stayed true to her image of being against hitting people. Yuri wondered if yelling at her would help, but he wasn't in to that. Unless a man was against hitting someone, that on the other hand was blasphemy! Alch went on how she didn't want to hit him, and even when she did it was such a gentle punch that Yuri felt weird. He wasn't used to training with someone who was so against physical exchanges.

Oh well, she probably just needed to relax and let herself go. Yuri remained in his guard, though he lowered his hands slightly, so that he could be heard by the red haired girl. "Don't worry about it. You can punch, kick or knee me. I'll be fine." Yuri didn't necessarily mean for her to kick him now, but still even that might open up some interesting roads. "The important thing here is to get you relaxed with all this, so let's try again. Breathe in and go." Raising his hands up once more Yuri anticipated the second try, hopefully this time she would be able to relax a bit.

"Kick'em!" Bajpa hollered from above the two. Fearing what the massive cat might do to her if she didn't, Alchamy went and kicked at Yuri, landing into his upper thigh. She pulled back and then bounced herself back away from him, that felt good. Alchamy thought to herself, watching Yuri as she stood in surprise of herself for actually having kicked at him. "Good." she heard Bajpa chuckle and Alchamy gave a small nod to herself in approval. Bajpa said good. She was getting somewhere.

When Yuri allowed any type of attack from Alch, Bajpa seemed glad to suggest that he should get kicked. A little too glad if you asked him. Buuuut Alch went with it, and comparing to the punch she threw moments earlier this was a totally different animal. Quick, accurate and even the technique was good. Much like Baj, Yuri agreed that it was a step in the right direction.

"Good, now throw and jab, then a kick and circle right." Again Yuri wasn't about to move or do anything really other then keep his hands up. If Alch loosened up after this, then it would be time for some light sparring. After all, she needed to understand early on that anyone she might fight in the future wouldn't just stand around, but they would hit back. Of course Yuri only wanted to show her the angles from which the attacks could come from, they were taking it slow for now. Although he had to admit, he liked the way Alch threw that kick earlier, it seemed like she had a knack for it.

Alchamy shook her head, "Bu-" there was a low growl from above her and she froze lightly.
Bajpa was one of the few beings that had power over Alchamy's actions and it was clear why. A gun toting car with more weapons on her person than a small army wasn't among her list of sentient beings she wanted to piss off anytime soon, and now she had a hulking gladiator with her to teach her. Both of them could easily squish Alchamy and it was almost terrifying. Throwing a sloppy punch at Yuri she then kicked at him and 'circled right' the best she figured one did that.
With a loose smile she stared at Yuri in hopes he wouldn't squish her.

Yuri was kind of on the fence about it, he knew that Alch would need a sparring partner, but neither Bajpa of he really were in her weight class... He needed to figure that one out somehow. He had no trouble holding back but still... The punch came, she would need to work on that one, but the kick was much better. Alch moved away after that and Yuri pretty much saw it. The girl had a talent for kicking, so he'd be sure to keep at it. After all if she developed her technique and learned to fire them of properly she would be swinging some serious power in her attacks.

But all in good time. For now he needed Alch to relax and put some more 'Omph" in to it. But before he could comment on anything the little devil send him a smile that would melt ice just like that. Yuri just shook his head with a smirk on his face. "Alright good enough. How do you feel? Everything ok?" Making sure that she didn't injure herself in any way, whether by throwing a kick and missing, or in any other way Yuri wanted to make sure to keep her injury-free.

"Take a minute off. After that it's time for some light sparring." Taking the minute to wrap his hands Yuri just casually wrapped his knuckles and to him it was the most normal thing in the world. For Alch it may be a bit more intimidating than that, after all she would be sparring with a 6'3'', 220 pound dude that looked like he jumped out of a comic book the way he was built. If she had anything to say, ask or do, now would be a good time.

Alchamy and Yuri had paused training, with a small dagger in one paw that Bajpa had been twilling around in her paw she looked at the small girl with an eerie smile and 'dropped' the knife. Alchamy had just barely turned around when she felt the knife go right past her, tearing at her loose top as it continued to fall and hit the ground between her feet. Frozen and shaking it took her a moment to register everything before she shot her head up and saw Bajpa staring at her. "Y-y-you!" she stammered, trying to not cry.

"Don't worry. I wouldn't have hit you." she sighed, jumping from board to metal scrap to more scrap until she was able to jump to the ground with ease. "Just had to scare ya'! Doing decent so far, Alchamy. But you need to stop being so scared to punch. I mean, honestly," she stated, walking to Yuri and punching his arm as if it didn't mean anything. "He's not fragile." she turned her attention to Yuri and whispered to him, "You have to be stern with her." Bajpa turned back from him and crouched down just outside of the training spot, Alchamy drinking a little bit of water and inspecting the tear in her shirt.
"Alch. Could you bring me back my knife?" she asked, Alchamy shook her head. "Alch, it won't hurt you." Bajpa attempted to coax the girl, she still shook her head. The loose red curls around her face swaying with each turn of her head. "Alchey..." Bajpa turned into 'sweet adorable little cat' and pleaded with her eyes to get Alchamy to bring her the dagger.
Other than the small little pocket knife that Alchamy carried with her she didn't touch sharp weapons, she rarely even touched kitchen knives. If she even touched the dagger, it'd be a big step for the girl. She reluctantly started for the dagger and barely touching it she attempted to take it out of the ground. Slowly the dagger did become unearthed and she carried it to Bajpa. "Proud of you, kid." she told her, taking the dagger into her paw.
She wasn't expecting anything fancy from Alchamy, but she had already kicked Yuri twice and touched a dagger. This was an improvement.

There would be little talk about martial arts, about strategies and such as Yuri spotted Bajpa throwing a knife at Alch. In a dramatic tone he yelled out. "Mah Wife!" Wait what, he wasn't really married to her, almost forgot. OH well.

If any of the two would inquire further on the comment Yuri would give of a simple. "Nothing, nothing." Next thing he knew Baj was at his side, showing how he was not a fragile man, Yuri only smile as he stood next to her. "Damn right." Nodding as the Kushari told him to be stern with Alch Yuri realized that he may have gone a bit to soft, but he didn't want to come of as a jerk and ruin it all for the Alderaanian beauty.

After Bajpa got her knife back Yuri seemed to casually bounce from one leg to the other. "Alright, next up is sparring. This time around, try and hit me, but beware as I'm allowed to hit back." Of course Yuri wouldn't hit her, rather he would just extend his hand to show Alchamy that it was not all so simple as it would seem once you were actually in the pocket with someone trading shots.

"Damn straight." Alchamy nodded after hearing Yuri's reaction to a knife getting launched her way.

Being informed it was time to spar her eyes widened and she looked at them both like they were crazy, "Are you sure, I mean... I um... er..." She bit the corner of her lip and looked at them both for some kind of help, though she'd always been a firm believer in not accepting help from crazy. "You don't really expect me to... spar... with Yuri, do you?" she asked, a terrified little tremble in her lower lip she was biting at.

Yuri in return looked at Alch like she was crazy, why wouldn't they spar? "Don't worry it'll be alright. I'll take care of you." Giving Alch a reassuring smile he left Baj's side and walked over to the petite girl.

The height difference made it clear why Alch was having doubts about the sparring, but despite his appearance Yuri would make Alch's health his priority. Bending his knees slightly he brought his hands up to protect his face. "Let's just try it. Don't worry it'll be fun." Even though Yuri was so relaxed about it, one couldn't be sure if it were the same for his 90 pounds "opponent".
