"Pretty sure plans go out the window whenever you encounter someone who can rain lightning and split the ground, so that's really a moot point. Sullust, like Ajan Kloss, was the will of the Force." there was a smirk as Isen got close, as if he thought the action would get Drast to simply adopt his point of view. "I saw tendrils of shadow suck the life from any friends I did have on Ajan Kloss and personally, I would choose electricity or flame over that fate."

He'd nod over to where Maiko was dancing. "You know why I worry about public opinion polls? In a few days, he leaves the Temple for the first time. What makes it different than any other? The galaxy as a whole hates us. The chances of him running into the Sith Eternal before a group of angry civilians is very low. We should be prepared for the inevitable, the Eternal, but we need to settle somewhere actually safe and from there build up public opinion. Would be a shame for you to die to a band of angry citizens armed with pitchforks after having escaped the Eternal, no?" For all of Isen's experience, it was evident to Drast that the young man could only focus on one threat at the time. It was either arrogance or ignorance that didn't allow him to understand the true danger that fighting a two front war against the people and the Sith could be.

Lillian made to answer Caspar, “I’m pretty sure they aren’t approved by our masters. That’s for sure. I think I should’ve brought some water.” The black haired woman, was about to add something on to it when the words of Isen filled the air in his own response and comment about the end of the Order.

Lillian found herself torn-on one hand he was right. Sullust had been a nightmare, the Jedi were outmatched and out-allied and outgunned. Yet on the other-could the order really be ending on such a low note? Hated and falling into the ways of complacency as before? Venturing no words out loud during the exchange she nodded along at Isen’s words.

Next it was her hosts turn to speak, his argument wasn’t as great as Caspar’s she noted, but it was nothing to scoff at. She made a note to talk to the both of them later about this. She agreed with Drastus that a Jedi should break the mold-after all, Rey Skywalker a Jedi who was trained by a failure of a man- Grandmaster Luke Skywalker, chose love and moving forward over old wounds or silly prophecies, she brought about a new era of peace-unfortunately, nothing lasts forever.

Her hands now clasped in front of her in a defensive hold, she listened to Caspar’s agreement to Isen. Nodding along to it. She seemed to be a mix of both opinions it seemed, she decided to stay neutral was the best course of action, after all, all three of these men could potentially plant sit if she had to be away for a long period of time.

Her host returned fire, with a mildly inspiring and also thought provoking speech-had she ever looked down upon someone? Not unless they were a disorganized mess or a buffoon. She had been raised in the order and as the commandments told her she had strayed from almost all attachments besides to her Master, her plants and to her sacred duty.

Isen’s final rebuttal made Lillians eyes widen as she mentally face palmed. “Wait that’s right! You were on Sullust!” Turning to Drastus she said “This party may be a nice distraction and a moment to build bonds but Isen and Caspar are correct-the state of the order isn’t its best right now. I feel that we must indulge both in times of pleasantries like these-but that we may also rise and train as per the occasion we are in. We have to look to the mistakes of the Order to both why it fell to Darth Sidious, and to why it was nigh destroyed by its Grandmaster Luke Skywalker when he attacked a helpless child, we must look to Rey Skywalker, she broke the mold of the Jedi yes-but she also fit it at the same time. She loved, but took time to think, she cared but wasn’t too emotional to think irrationally, she was kind but not a gullible idiot. I believe we all must aspire to be like her. Take mixes of the old and mix them with the new-we can all agree the thousands of fallen Jedi must’ve been by her side that day, but now we must recognize that we are who they stand behind now, we will be the ones left when our master’s are gone, we will be the one’s left to defend against a darkness, hell-we might be the one’s who have to fight jack against a public full of hate. All I know is that we ARE the next generation of Jedi, and we must balance ourselves as the best of us have, we must find joy in silly parties and friends, but we must also find seriousness in this daunting moment where the Sith and it’s Eternal are out there and where Jedi are hated by all, we must rise from these ashes, we must recognize that love can both distract and embolden, that friends can manipulate and empower, that the Jedi are not a rigid path-we must abide by all their teachings, old and new!”

It was a long travel back to Yavin, but Vaen finally returned after a long mission. No matter what time it was, she was so tired she could fall asleep right in the middle of the temple. She sluggishly walked through the halls of the temple, and slowly woke up a bit more as she could hear something in the distance. "Is that music? she mumbled to herself.

Vaen followed the sound until she was standing in front of a door; it was some padawan's room. She didn't really remember many Padawans, since she had been gone for a while. Vaen hoped the few she remembered were still alive after hearing about what had occurred on Ajan Kloss.

About to enter, Vaen paused when she heard what sounded like arguing. She would wait next to the door and use the force to try and hear the conversation, though the music was quite muffling. Vaen could only pick up a few words, and a few interesting ones at that such as the mentioning of Rey Skywalker and Darth Sidious.

Vaen thought about what she should do. She remembered all the times her mentors scolded her severely, but she also remembers how much she loathed being lectured to. So, Vaen decided to sit and listen, unless things got out of hand. She let out a small chuckle thinking about what would happen if she threw a party during her years as a padawan.

Xiann smiled at the poor sap she had dragged to the dance floor as he awkwardly shuffled around. That smile only widened when he seemed to start to loosen up and dance with her properly, even drawing a giggle out of her when he chose to spin her around. The Twi’lek even felt a jolt of sadness when he let go of her hands, thinking for a moment he was done, but instead he burst into what had the be the weirdest dance she’d ever seen. She burst out laughing as he bobbed and stomped around, “What the kriff is that?! I love it!”

Xiann jumped and spun to be a metre to the mans side and carefully watch his movements mimicking them the best she could. Even movement was simple and easy to follow but the kid was doing several of them at any given instant. It looked easy but the coordination required was quite high and took Xiann a few loops of the dance to get the moves to a reasonable degree, though she couldn’t quite match the elegance of Maiko.

As she finally was confident enough to stop watching the other dancer and looked up she saw Lani approach the pair, “Lani! You gotta try this!” She frantically waved at her friend to join the bizarre dance. She could feel the strain it put on her muscles as she moved, this would actually be a pretty good workout. But above all this was a lot of fun, indicated that she hadn’t stopped smiling and laughing the whole time.

Lani sure chose the perfect time to dash to the dance floor in the other room. The Zeltron had come to the party to escape the worries that plagued her, even if only for one evening. And now she was lucky to have dodged a brooding conversation in Drast's room. To top it off, she also had a flask that Drast had left her with. Double win!

Both the Twi and the human seemed to be enjoying themselves. If there was a source of pure joy and happiness on Yavin, that was the place. Galania couldn't but smile as she raised her—technically Drast's—flask to show it to her friends. "No, you gotta try this!" she shouted back cheerfully, before taking another big swig.

It wasn't nearly enough to get the Zeltron off her feet, or even tipsy; and Lani was supposed to share the flask with everyone else. But she did start moving to the music, if only with her head... then the shoulders... And then the torso... Yes, that room was definitely better. Maybe Drast had a point, and Lani could indeed "feed" off those positive emotions? Only one way to find out...

Isen listened to everyone. He was polite enough to do that. In his opinion, they just didn't get it. Until they stared down the Eternal, felt the Darkness trying to suck you in, they couldn't understand. It's not something that can be explained. At least Isen couldn't. He tried, but he failed to impress upon them the strength and evilness of the enemy. The attack on Ajan Kloss was horrible. The sheer number of Sith during the invasion, and their power, was vast. But one day, the Sith numbers will be coupled with the Eternal simultaneously. On that day, Isen knew that they would wish they spent less time playing grabass and more time training or in meditation with the Force.

It would be a hard lesson, but one they seemed determined to learn the hard way.

Isen sighed and said, "Time will tell." He looked at Casper and gave a respectful nod. "If you ever want to train, spar, study. Let me know." Isen looked around at the goings on one more and time and paused for a moment. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get my two hours of tutaminis practice in for the day."

Isen began his trek back to what he lived and loved to do- train.

Drastus would internally thank the gods Isen was leaving. One small party wouldn't undo the hours and days of practice each Padawan present devoted themself to. In fact, if he wasn't studying or training he was normally doing an op for the Order. Given Isen's need to step into his face, he would step aside to let the other Padawan leave, a glance moving to gaze at Lani in the other room. "Bye Isen, have fun with your tutaminis."

Once Isen stepped past, he'd look to Lillian "I don't know what everyone else does, but I train for at least ten hours a day, minimum. One night of revelry isn't going to throw me off my game. We can do both and still perform our duties. This wasn't for me, I found a way to heal after Ajan Kloss. It took a new Master and new friends, but I did it. Many here haven't. This, is for them."

He'd smile at her. "Now then, I am going to enjoy the rest of the night dancing, because I have some early training tomorrow. Feel free to join us, Lillian. You too, Casper." He'd then head into the adjoining room, his spirits lifted some.

The laughter that slipped past Maiko's lips was genuine and full of mirth as Xiann watched him dance. He made sure to keep his movements slow and deliberate while she studied the steps, the smile on his face widening as the Twi'lek began to mimic him.

"You're doing great, Xiann!" he encouraged her while the impromptu dance lesson continued. The young padawan could feel that his new friend was enjoying the moment, more so when she had finally gotten the steps memorized in such a short span of time. Maiko was duly impressed and pleased at the outcome, more so when her smiles and laughter did not cease. She was having fun as much as he was, and the padawan couldn't be happier about it.

Maiko turned to look at Galania– Lani, offering the latter a smile with the same magnitude it held for Xiann. He slowed down, gaze curious as he eyed the flask the Zeltron was waving at them. He glanced at Xiann.

"Here's hoping that's not alcohol," he joked. He would've resumed dancing if he hadn't felt some form of conflict in the Force, as if there were some form of disagreement being discussed in the room. Stopping entirely, he caught sight of the quiet padawan from earlier – Isen, was it? – making an exit and leaving Drastus along with other two padawans. Casper, he knew a little, but the other girl? Not so much.

"I wonder what they were talking about," he mused out loud, gaze lingering on Casper and the other padawan before shifting to follow Drastus.

Xiann saw her bestie waving around a flask, she immediately knew what was in it. With a grin plastered across her face she danced her way over to Lani and took the flask, and a mouthful of its contents. She let out a huge sigh of satisfaction as she lowered the flask again, “Almost as good as those cookies, but much more refreshing.”

She beamed her chuckling grin at Lani as she started to loosen up and dance, albeit stiffly. “Yeah, that’s more like it Lani. Dance like there’s no tomorrow.” Looking back to Maiko she noticed he’d stopped dancing, so she shuffled back over to the now more serious looking boy. “That doesn’t matter right now. If you were suppose to know, you would. Don’t worry about the things you’ve missed or you’ll miss even more. Now, come dance with the ladies!” She held her hand out to try and coax him back into dancing with the pair.

As the door opened a tall dark-skin male came out of the room. Vaen, standing outside the door towards the side, placed her hand on his shoulder as he walked past. "Wait a second padawan." She realized it might be rude to touch someone suddenly like that, and she pulled her hand back to her side.

"I'm guessing you're one of the ones that were arguing since you walked out. Loosen up a little." Vaen presented the man with a warm smile. "I get that you're worried about the order and that you want to work hard. Which is fine, but you're a padawan. Express your concerns to your master or other masters. Believe that they will consider what you say and take care of it." She'd place both of her hands on her hips "Besides if you didn't care about the party you wouldn't have gone in the first place right?"

The Kiffar didn't say anything, but Drastus said the partying would take him off his game. That was exactly the problem. He thought this whole Jedi thing was a game. Let me see the power of the Eternal and see what he thought after that. Besides, Isen would just be talking in circles with Drastus, and he was too hard-headed to see reason, and too prideful to admit he was wrong if he did.

But as Isen was leaving the room, a soft touch landed on his shoulder, and he heard, "Wait a minute, padawan."

Isen turned around. He didn't know this Jedi, but by her calling him a padawan, she had to be at least a Knight. Isen bowed, giving due respect to the position. She smiled while she talked, but Isen's countenance was rather stoic. Respectful and polite, but a coldness was certainly present. She probably wouldn't know it unless she had seen him about, but this was his standard expression.

He listened to what she had to say. He didn't have to agree to respect her place on the pecking order. That was part of the problem with this new wave of padawans- they didn't respect those ranked higher than them. He looked back toward the door where the party was going on and said, "It's not what I expected." He looked back to the knight and nodded. "But you are right. It's not my place." He looked back to the party room again. He wasn't going to tattle to anybody's masters. Besides, they clearly condoned the behavior. Nobody seemed to have the slightest concern for a knight or master walking in on the party. Looking back to the knight he said, "If I have any further concerns, I'll relay them to my master."

Vaen couldn't help but let out a laugh from how serious the Padawan seemed. She bent over and held her stomach while laughing, but swiftly proceeded to straighten back up and regain her composure. "Relax a bit will ya?" She gave him a quick tap on his shoulder.

She would place both of her hands on her hips in almost a childish manner "Ya know it doesn't hurt to have fun every once in a while. A wise master once told me: Give yourself permission to not be perfect." Vaen would deepen her voice saying the master's quote as if trying to mimic their voice.

Vaen closed her eyes and focused on the music playing in the room and would sway back and forth for a moment before coming to a standstill. "Don't be motivated to prevent painful moments. Be motivated to protect joyful moments." She reopened her eyes and blinked a couple times. "Hey, that was a pretty good quote right!?" Vaen's bright smile exuded joy, but her serious tone returned again. "Sorry for interrupting you on your way to your training, but just remember to ease up now and then ok?"

Yes, the dance floor was definitely where Lani wanted to be. Than younger kid, Maiko, was full of positive energy, and his smile was radiant. It did diminish somewhat when he noticed the commotion in the neighboring room. On the other hand, the feisty Twi'lek remained undeterred. "Dance like there is no tomorrow? Focus on one thing at a time?" That seemed like a good advice.

Galania had been driven by her worries too much. About her sister, about her own future, about that whole Jedi stint. But there and then, on the dance floor, those thoughts, doubts and fears were stashed aside. Every next move was easier and more fluid than the last. Each of them was a step towards locking the "worry-box" and tossing the key aside. At least for one evening.

Xiann tried to get the same point across to Maiko. But for the monent, Lani didn't focus on anything or anyone in particular. Her eyes closed, the music and the life around her were the only things she focused on. The place was teeming with life, joy, and emotions; the pink-skinned alien just let herself become one with it. Flinging indigo hair and pheromones around, spinning in circles, moving to the rhythm—Lani was finally in the zone.

The Kiffar opened his mouth to respond to the Knight about having fun every once in a while. Sparring was fun. His growing connection to the wilderness was relaxing. Practicing Force taming the beasts on Yavin was fun. Practicing the spurring of plant life in the jungles was relaxing. He realized he was a square, but saying so probably didn't help his image, and again, he didn't want to argue with someone ranked higher than him.

"Don't be motivated to prevent painful moments. Be motivated to protect joyful moments," The Jedi told him. She seemed surprised at her own wisdom and said, "Hey, that was a pretty good quote right!?"

Isen tried to smile, but it would probably seemed forced. "It's a good one. Should probably write that one down."

"Sorry for interrupting you on your way to your training, but just remember to ease up now and then ok?"

Isen nodded politely. "I'll try to take some time to relax," he responded. Isen wouldn't show it with his face, but he was utterly confused. He was being chastised, albeit very kindly, for working too hard. He didn't understand it. What he did understand is that there never was a time, and there would never be a time, where a group of Jedi would point to Isen and say on a mission- this guy is a liability to our success. He feared that more than he feared his popularity. "And, I'll talk with Master Thral about this shortcoming of mine."

"I'll make sure to remember that quote to use it again." Vaen responded proudly. She was never the wise mentor or role-model type but it was a part of her responsibilities.

"Master Thral.." The name sounded familiar but Vaen couldn't put her finger on it. "How long have I been gone for?" She shook her head a bit and looked back up towards the Padawan. "Thank you for listening, and good luck with your training." Vaen smiled and gave a small wave before turning around and walking away.

Drastus would see his friends still going crazy with the dancing, just having fun. And that right there was all he needed to see. As he entered the room, he would let the beat wash over him, feeling the notes and bass in his entire body. Mood entirely lifted, he would catch Lani's hand momentarily, stopping her mid-spin, only to spin her back the other way with a grin. If she let go of his hand, he'd follow suit.

Looking over to Maiko and Xiann he'd laugh. "So, what's uh... all this noodleness called?" he asked, teasingly. Oh boy he could feel the music and it was time to cut up the dance floor.

Maiko's attention shifted back to Xiann and he smiled sheepishly at her words. The young padawan agreed with her, but worrying about others who were wrapped up in a heated discussion where he could somehow help alleviate the rising tensions was a part of him that he couldn't quite shake off. Whatever the other padawans talked about, he hoped that it didn't create a rift between them.

Maiko hated conflict, more so when people on the same side were arguing amongst themselves.

Taking Xiann's hand in his, the young padawan offered her a bright and grateful smile before taking up her offer to resume dancing. He chuckled good-naturedly at the sight of Lani finally loosening up, her indigo hair flinging behind her with every move. Focus shifting back to the female Twi'lek, Maiko's other hand settled tentatively on her back (mindful not to touch her skin, he was a gentleman like that) and began another round of dancing.

"Sorry, I got a little distracted," he apologized, cheeks dimpling at the diffident smile he gave her. "I shall make it up to you, milady!"

Maiko would then spin himself and Xiann once before leading her in the most awkward yet lively waltz in history, his sunny laughter a harmony along the music playing in the background. Unconsciously he would pull the pretty Twi'lek close, the hand holding hers giving her hand a light squeeze.

At Drast's question – the teasing flying over his head – Maiko responded with a, "It's called waltz!" Although it most probably didn't look like it with how lively he would be leading Xiann. "You and Lani should try this one!"

Xiann glanced away from Maiko for a moment and looked back at Lani who was finally loosening up and getting into the music. “See, much better.” Her attention was quickly redirected back to Maiko however when he took her hand and placed his other hand on her back, bringing the pair close once more. He gave them both a spin, drawing out another giggle from the Twi’lek.

As the pair danced she could feel him tighten his grip on her slightly, pulling their dancing closer. Usually this action caused her to tense up as she suspected the other of about to try something they would soon regret, but this time it just made her smile widen. This time was different. Maiko had no ulterior motive, he was just trying to have fun and make sure she did too. She decided to take her own advice and live in this moment, she closed the gap with Maiko a little more and leaned on him a little more. She let her eyes close and let both the music and him guide her movement. Right now, in this moment, she was the most content she had been in a long time. Possibly ever.

Felix wasn't often social type, he didn't mind being alone it gave him plenty to think and pursue hobbies, but indy had been pushing to be more social with his peer and to get along with Drastus. So when Drastus asked him if he would come he reluctantly agreed though he knew he would turn up a bit late.

He made his way to Drast’s door, opening to the music coming from within. He hovered at the door for a second completing that he could leave now and no one would notice before signing and stepping into the room.

He made his way towards the table with drinks he didn’t really know any they’re drast he seemed busy, so he would hang out by the drinks minding his own business.

Galania kept dancing with her eyes closed. With most people around her enjoying the evening, the moves came naturally to the young Zeltron. Her eyes closed, Lani didn't notice Drast's approach. She got caught by surprise when her hand ended up in his, and the direction of her movements changed. With a chuckle, she spun further, ending up with her back pressed against the human's chest.

Yet that would only last for a few moments, as Lani would spin again; this time to get a little distance and face Drastus with a smirk. "Thanks for that, Drast!" Galania's grin got wider than ever. "I sure needed that." Then something else caught her attention. Or rather someone not sharing in the fun. After dancing for a while longer, the Zeltron tilted her head towards the other room. "I sense more guests coming."
