Born on Bilbringi in the closing years of the Hundred Years Darkness, Tealzar came of age duing the slow (often nonexistent) rebuilding efforts. Being a Bith Telzar was not conceived naturally like with most other species, but instead from a combination of genetic material from donor parents and initially incubated externally. After the year long incubation period ended they grew much like any other child in the galaxy. Their donor parents were an industrial engineer and a fairly well know musician, both of which claiming equal custody of the child.

Their early childhood was fairly normal for most citizens of the republic with descent standing, often removed from the day to day struggle to simply stay afloat during, and just after, a time of crisis. Both of their donors had hired tutors to help start Telzar's educational career early, though neither parent could agree on what area of learning the tutors should focus on. But both of them, and even the tutors, noted that Telzar had an intuitive grasp of spacial reasoning as well as tonal identification. When old enough They were enrolled in a charter school to further build on these aptitudes and get a head start on a professional career.

Approaching the age of young adulthood Telzar had graduated from the charter school as well as a secondary school with a high enough standing to be enrolled at one of the most perstegious colleges on Bilbringi. But this coincided with what some would say was the worst point of the Republic's economic downturn, meaning that even with scholarships it was hard to pay for tuition. Wanting to avoid asking their donors for help, and potentially sparking another long fight about their education and professional career, they instead decided to work nights. Relying heavily on the Bith's need for only four hours of sleep each day and a passion for music they had learned from their donor, Telzar began to take on gigs as string drum player at local clubs.

As time went on Telzar began to feel while going into an engineering field may have meant more steady work, the club scene was far more interesting, and so was glitterstim. Hearing tales of the lavish casinos and clubs of Nar Shaddaa was even more exciting than their other passion, starship design. So without really making a conscious choice they began to take on more and more gigs, even composing here and there, at the cost of their grades. But one night the club Telzar was playing at was raided by Bilbringi police and they were arrested with a dozen others in connection to a spice distribution ring.

Upon learning of this Telzar's donors were furious and offered them a deal. Either they agree to go back to school and go into a much safer career and the donors pay their bail, or rot in prison. It was not much of a choice, but as reluctant as Telzar was to walk away from that life of freedom, physical freedom was a lot more important. So they graduated with a degree in astro-engineering and a minor in music theory, and found work at Bilbringi Shipyards as a designer.

There they stayed for years, happily drawing and editing away at new and old designs alike. Well, maybe not so happily. The shipyards were not doing a whole lot of business, so each year Telzar earned less and less while rehashing the same designs they had edited the year previously.... and the year before that as well. Then When the shipyard director pulled Telzar into his office to tell the veteran designer that the company was letting them go something snapped. Walking calmly out of the office without a word, they went down to the dock, picked a ship, stole it, and flew off to find the freedom they had once lost.

Telzar often spent a lot of time in a classroom or academy while growing up. But instead of this stratifying their way of thinking and putting them on the straight and narrow, it only instilled a desire to break from the "normalcy" that they were surrounded with. Often this break would be to accompany their donor to a concert and simply get lost in the music and the crowds' excitement. Later this developed into a deep love of music and the galactic club scene that eventually introduced them to the drug glitterstim. While it did not grow into a sever addiction or dependency, it did not take much to talk Telzar into taking some.

This ended of course with their arrest and the subsequent agreement to go back to school. Telzar chafed at the perceived prison that was traditional education and a '9-5' job, but they owed their donors and kept to the agreement. It was not so bad when they had been accepted onto the design team at Bilbringi Shipyards, with thoughts of working on new and innovative designs every day inspiring much joy. After all, starship design had always been one of their passions. But this proved to not be the case with the director often tasking the team to rehash the same designs and shooting down any attempt at bringing something new into the production line.

Then after over a decade of service to the company, laboring day in and day out to meet demands that were not only foolish but uncreative, Telzar was let go. And in that moment in the director's office they were cut loose from their bonds and agreements to the company, but this also broke the mental bonds between them and their parent donors. Indeed it even broke their bonds to the rule of law. They were free to do whatever they liked. Weather someone wanted them to do it or not did not matter, they were FREE.

And this new found freedom started with the theft of a ship and a droid from the yards, and a pilgrimage to wherever the solar winds took them.

Telzar prizes freedom and creativity above all things, including the law, and can often change direction with their quickly shifting mood. Personal ownership means little to them except in the cases where they have laid claim to something, whether rightfully theirs or not they will do everything in their power to keep 'their' property. This does indeed include the potential for violence.

While Telzar often prefers not to fight, and indeed see the killing of another being as a stifling of that being's own creative freedom and expression, that does not mean they are unwilling to fight and indeed kill. Sad as it may be, freedom cannot be allowed to be hampered by the squawking of others. And if one is too unmotivated to truly live a life of freedom, maybe death is indeed preferable. They will let you know when they figure that one out.
