Great movie. Not "best of the year" by any stretch, but I still really enjoyed it.
The only thing I disliked a lot is it was clearly obvious that they are going to make another one.
I am pretty sure they said they were going to make this a new Terminator series, and if they stay in the current timeline and not going back to the past, and keep Bale and most of the important crew and such, this could be a good series.
They said it would be a trilogy, yeah. One of the interesting things about this is that now that the future has changed, at the end of the sixth one they can send Reese back to 1984, and then remake The Terminator with Anton Yelchin and a new actress as Sarah Connor, as well as a CG Governator. They'd be able to make it with some different events using the "different future" as reasoning.
I agree up until remaking "The Terminator", as I don't think a remake would be could since it could not possibly top the Original.
Since when has that ever stopped anyone from making remakes?
Um... it hasn't. But it's obvious that most remakes of older films are never as good as the original.
And yet they still make them. :p
That's not the point though, silly. I was just saying I disagree that they should remake the first film.
