Cardinal looked at his men and partners. This was the final test. He had stolen one hundred battle ready 5U-Infantry droids, and he planned to use them to take over a base. Along with the stolen droids, he had along a friend that had helped him steal the droids, @Aurelie Fleury . Also with him was a ranking mandalorian, who had brought her fearless warriors. Her name was @Rayne Kelborn . "Alright folks, if we do this right, we'll have a new base of operations. Here's the plan, Rayne, you and your warriors will infiltrate the base, taking out the security checkpoint. Then my hovertrucks filled with the battle droids will enter. Everyone else will follow in a separate hover truck. I don't care how the base is taken as long as it's in one piece. Also if a guard asks for mercy, attempt to convert them and merge their gang into our gang. If not just kill everyone. Lets do this!"

After their 'briefing' Rayne, and her dozen Marauders, loaded up into two different LK - 6800 Speeder Trucks and were making their way directly to the security checkpoint at the edge of the compound. A direct approach was always the best in Rayne's mind, what she was doing here she didn't really know, it was only by absolute chance that she'd met @Cardinal Paroaria but he had seemed to be the type of person who could stand to make Rayne a lot of money through a mutual relationship.

As the trucks pulled to a stop at the checkpoint and a somewhat confused guard started making his way toward the vehicles yelling something about expecting a delivery today, the lift gates to the trucks opened and out of the backs spilled six each of Rayne's Marauders, all quickly acquiring targets with their Beviin Light Repeaters and opening fire. The front gates of the facility was an absolute war zone for approximately thirty seconds, Rayne joining in with her Renegade Heavy Blaster Pistol in one hand, and her Chanti Blaster Pistol in the other.

After the half a minute execution of the ten or so men at the gate, only one remained, he was seated in a transparisteel box, presumably the control room for the gate, with heavy locks and reinforced walls and windows, only a small hatch provided entry from the outside.

Rayne, with one of her Marauders pinning the hatch open, activated her wrist mounted flamethrower, filling the inside with white hot flames, cooking the man inside like a holiday meat slab.

With a slam of the speeder truck, the gate was opened, and Rayne and her men secured the area, It's clear.. Rayne called over the comms to @Cardinal Paroaria. Her wet work had been quick, and messy, the bodies still laying on the ground where they'd fallen. Reloading her pistols, she leaned against the transparisteel box, the fire inside of it still going, bellowing smoke in a small line out of the hatch.

Scanning the participants of the operation, Aurelie felt a little out of place as everyone else seemed to be prepared for war. Not only did they have a rather grand army of droids, but @Cardinal Paroaria had somehow also managed to gather a sizable amount of Mandalorians. She assumed that the main reason for her presence at this operation was that Cardinal had appreciated her efforts when they captured a batch of droids. Still, as long as she could remain safe during the battle to come, the thief was sure that she'd receive a fair reward.

The young woman didn't envy the Mandalorians who had to clear the security checkpoint ahead of the group, a task which sounded relatively perilous. But then, they were renowned warriors and from what she knew, these people were even supposed to thirst for battle. Not seeing much reason to stand around, Aurelie soon made her way to the hovertruck which Cardinal had designated for everyone else. Her steps were rapid as entering the truck earlier meant that she'd be one of the last people who would have to leave its relative safety once inside.

It didn't seem to take very long at all for the Mandalorians to clear out the security check points as Aurelie soon noticed that the truck started moving. It didn't take long for her to notice a couple of her fellow passengers who wore heavier armour and had slightly more impressive weapons than the others - if nothing too unexpected happened, these two would be her shields during the fight to come. Drawing her trusty blaster, Aurelie prepared for the potential battle to come.

Cardinal was filled with energy and excitement. This was the time he could prove himself to be a master criminal. Cardinal hopped in the back of the last hover truck, his men wearing heavy armor. Also Aurie was in the back, he was grateful she had come, she had proven effective and a excellent thief. Once Cardinal would get his mafia together, he would consider offering her a role in his secret organization. Cardinal commed the drivers, "We're ready, lets go go go." After a few minutes, he heard confirmation that the mandalorians had completed their task, paving the way for the last two hover trucks to drive in unharmed. The trucks unloaded, and Cardinal hopped out the back. In the other trucks, the droids hopped out. "Ok, there's two warehouses, I don't care how you take em', but get it done! Tonight we're gonna partyyyyyyy." Cardinal left the choice of which house to attack up to the individuals, but Cardinal took some of his men, and 40 droids with him, well over enough to get the task done. The rest of the droids were up to dispersion among the other members. Cardinal ran to the first warehouse, screaming "Try not to get the droids damaged!" Some of the droids could operate on their own as well.

Rayne mostly stayed back, switching to her repeater and having a handful of the Marauders stay at the checkpoint in case any outside aid came running up.

Up on the roof of one of the buildings @Cardinal Paroaria and his Droids were running into, Rayne spotted a man pulling out a blaster rifle and aiming down. Having already taken aim, Rayne loosed three bolts, two of which slammed into the man's torso, sending him rolling backwards violently.

Rayne now stood vigilant, her and her Marauders with their repeaters raised, any who didn't come with them would get put down. The Cardinal had wanted them to try and recruit, but that was more his job than Rayne's..

The young woman's face made a rather grim expression as the truck started to empty. Despite the fear of coming in harms way, she was determined to prove her worth seeing as her partnership with Cardinal was quite profitable last time. She realized that staying behind could mean even more danger than if she stuck to the group as they closed in on the buildings. Without any good reason to stay, Aurelie rushed out into the open, sticking close to the two troopers she'd selected earlier. They both lead ten droids each and seemed to be dead set on storming the second warehouse. The group pushed on with guns blazing and fortunately made it to the building without too many losses. The droids assumed positions along the windows and an intense fight was soon at large.

Aurelie watched as the two troopers started working on getting the heavy door open with one already unpacking some kind of explosive device. Not wanting the property to be damaged, she scurried over to her allies "Let me have a crack at it first" she screamed, just barely audible with all the weapons being fired nearby. Turning to the console, the thief made use of her skill and experience to override the locks causing the door to swoosh open.

Not being particularly fond of the idea of rushing into a well defended building, Aurelie grabbed a couple of droids and started making her way around it. Most buildings had several exits and this one was no exception. Upon reaching the back entrance, the young woman started overriding that lock to - fortunately it didn't prove to be as challenging as the other lock which made it a rather easy affair. The girl aimed at the door, prepared to enter and completely out flank their enemies. But in truth, she was hoping that their opponents would exit the door trying to escape the onslaught at the front. Those would most likely be the weakest opposition she could face.

Cardinal was running to the warehouse when he heard a blastershot. A man fell, and Cardinal looked back, smiling at Rayne. Cardinal sent his droids into the house first, and with confirmation that the first floor was clear, he walked inside to see bodies on the floor, and a group of men and women with there hands on their head, being surrounded by droids. "Well done, keep them here." Cardinal told the commander of the droids. The crew had surrendered, not wanting to risk their lives for a unworthy cause. Two more floors to go Cardinal thought. He sent 20 droids up to the third floor and he went to the second floor. Luckily, most of the workers were rushing to the first level to defend, which left a few stragglers that were either killed or captured. In a hour, the warehouse had been captured. "First warehouse is taken, what's the situation on your sides?" Cardinal said.

Rayne stood sentary outside the buildings as the droids and the two individuals stormed them. A pair of men with blaster rifles came around a corner of the building, thinking they would get the jump on whoever it was that entered through the front door, when they turned the corner, they found Rayne and four of her Marauders already pointing repeaters at them, all five of them opened fire, the two men taking bolts in nearly every part of their bodies before falling to the ground like a marionette who's strings had been cut.

Exterior is clear.. Rayne replied when the Cardinal asked for a situation report. Rayne walked around a bit, her Marauders doing the same, but it seemed what was left of the resistance team from this old base must of been inside the buildings.

Aurelie and her two accompanying droids had been standing outside the door at the backside for what felt like an eternity, no one taking any initiative to enter the building. The droids weren't really expected to take any initiative to begin with and the young woman was perfectly happy with that. The fighting inside the second warehouse's first floor had been going on for just a few minutes during which 20 additional droids had arrived to join the fray. After the arrival of the reinforcements, it didn't take long before the door before which the trio stood opened up and one seemingly terrified opponent rushed out into the crosshairs of the door's valiant guards. It didn't take much convincing to make the poor guy surrender.

A lone and terrified person trying to escape through the back door seemed to be a common occurrence as Aurelie caught several people doing the same thing. The situation didn't seem very sustainable as their disarmed opponents numbers constantly grew forcing both droids to become dedicated guards of the group rather than being able to assist in intimidating the new arrivals into surrender. It did, however, seem like a problem which could be solved by increasing the amount of droids at her disposal which was easily done after a short call for aid over the comms. The thief soon had six more droids at her disposal which made the seemingly endless stream of people looking to flee the battle much more easily manageable. As her allies made their way up to the higher levels of the warehouse, the stream seemed to decrease in speed but it was still not very uncommon for an enemy thug to manage to slip down right into their claws.

After a while, Cardinal could be heard through the comms and Rayne soon after. It seemed as if they had been quicker at the first warehouse than at the second one but after a while, one of the troopers she had been following earlier also spoke up in the comms "Second warehouse is secured" A blaster going off followed by many retaliatory shots could be heard in the background after which the trooper returned to the comms "Mostly - the second warehouse is mostly secured". Aurelie felt like she might as well report in too "We're a jolly bunch out here at the backside of the second warehouse. Cardinal, I think you might have some new friends to make over here!"

Cardinal listened to his comm, blaster fire could be heard far away. "Alright I'm going to head over to you guys!" Cardinal ran with his men and droids and headed to the second warehouse where there was still resistance. Along the way, they had caught several people attempting to flee, and Cardinal either killed them or spared them. They arrived at the second warehouse, and Cardinal could see the battle still raging, though it was obvious it was dying down. Cardinal shot a man in the chest who was fleeing. In a matter of a few minutes, the battle was over. Cardinal's gang and droids had rounded up all the survivors willing to join Cardinal's cause.

For the most part, Rayne and her Marauders sat guard, taking in the new surrendering parties and tying them down. By the time @Cardinal Paroaria arrived back after clearing the second warehouse, they had quite the lot of prisoners that the Mandalorian strike force was standing guard over, their repeaters all pointing at different ones.

Cardinal.. Rayne said, Sounds like there might of been more fun in there than out here.. Rayne said, her job had been simple, and there was no complaint to be had about it, she had wished she could have fired her weapons a little more, but there would be time for that later.

Next move? Rayne asked.

Aurelie didn't have to wait for long before Cardinal arrived at the second warehouse along with a large number of droids and people. It felt like a relief to have some assistance handling the many surrendered thugs she had gathered at the back and she was quite happy to see them being sent to the central area where Cardinal had already gathered the ones he had caught. She looked at the troop of prisoners and guards walking to the center and then threw a glance at the warehouse. Shots still went off, but they were few and far between - perfect for anyone wanting to get killed by a desperate enemy who's hiding place was about to be revealed. Most days, including this one, the young woman preferred to minimize the risk of getting shot, stabbed or injured by other means. The girl ran to the prisoner escort and patted one of Cardinal's men on the back "I can watch these, I think you're much better suited to guard the door than me." she pleaded, trying to appeal to his warrior's spirit. There didn't seem to be any warrior's spirit to appeal to, however, as he simply sneered at her request. Without any intentions to go back, the thief simply sent two of the droids there to do the job.

Upon arriving at the central gathering point, she looked around. Most of the destruction which could be seen were results from the Mandalorian's attack on the warehouse and their guarding of anything outside the warehouse. Looking at the warehouses themselves however, the damages seemed to be rather minor which was quite fortunate as that was what her employer had asked for in very clear terms. The Mandalorians looked very menacing as they stood guard over the prisoners. The young thief's eyes lingered on the Mandalorian captain for a while as she admired the armour and weaponry of the woman.

Eventually, she snapped out the foolish stare and and turned to look at Cardinal, awaiting an answer to the question which the Mandalorian just asked.
