APPEARANCE: (Face Reference: Summer Glau)
Rylie has shoulder-length, black hair. It's a bit wavy.
Her eyes are both hazel brown, but they are not both organic. Her left eye is a cybernetic that looks like her natural eye thanks to a digital overlay that mimics the white of the eye, the iris and the pupil. Part of the cybernetic is damaged, however, permanently. The RGB colors in roughly the top half of the iris is discolored a deep, rusty red due to the missing green values.
Rylie is 5’ 8” and 135 pounds. She’s slim and slightly muscular.
Her skin is fair—pale-colored but not ghostly. Her face is very lightly freckled over the nose and a few are on her chin.
She has a septum nose piercing. The ring is medical-grade steel inside her nose with a dull-electric-blue color holo chevron closing the ring. Little stoppers on the metal keep the ring in her nose, but the holo part eliminates the risk of it catching and/or ripping out.

She has two scars:
One is a short, shallow gash that begins in the peak of her left eyebrow and runs out of the hair onto the skin.
The other looks a lot like a little beauty mark from a distance or if one doesn’t take a close look. It’s a small hole, the size of a typical black beauty mark, half an inch from the outer edge of her cybernetic eye. It’s an incision scar from the surgery.

GEAR:
- Dirty, white, finger-less, cloth hand wraps
- Brown leather combat boots, with durasteel toe guards
- Forest green, cloth cargo pants with reinforced (with durasteel) knees
- Durasteel knife with a rust-red handle, and an ankle holster
- A-113 Renegade blaster pistol, and a hip holster
- Cybernetic eye—includes a comm, target assister, a holo recorder and a scanner (can scan some, non-player characters and most cargo, but the crate has to have a chip in it saying what it is)
- Black, cloth, button-up turtleneck top
- Tan and brown cargo vest with pockets

SKILLS:
- Piloting and running blockades
- Deceiving
- Delivering packages
- Maintenance on her ship, her weapons, her droid and some basic technology like doors, comms and computers

ATTRIBUTES:
Weaknesses
- Thanks to her cybernetic eye, she is weak to runaway electric currents that might mess with the circuitry. Since it’s connected to her and close to her brain, a short-circuit in her cybereye will give her a jolt and, depending on the strength of the current, take her to the deck. Side effects may be temporary blindness, limb numbness, inability to stand, slurred speech, loss of consciousness or coma.
- A full shutdown of her cybereye can leave her pretty much defense-less: for instance, she can’t call for backup and she doesn’t have her aim assist.
- She’s a miserable shot over mid- to long-range without her cybereye’s targeting system. Her blaster has sights, but they’re as good as worthless if her depth perception is shot.
- Diplomacy is not her job, and thus she is not good at it. She leaves that to the senators.
- She cannot lie to senators. She knows this. If she tried it, they’d pick up on it.
- If someone (like a criminal while she’s undercover) catches onto her lies and calls her out, she has a hard time thinking fast. She can do it, but it might not be the most convincing comeback.

Strengths
- Because of the huge risk that her cybereye represents, she has had half a dozen micro power absorbers installed in it to try and minimize damage. They shield against power blackouts, small short circuits or power surges of computers or datapads, and the like.
- Piloting is the name of her game. She can run almost any interstellar blockade, but not without sustaining damage. She’s also good at finding discreet landing pads/zones.
- Rylie loves to play pazaak and is good at it.
- She is an intelligent woman. Though she didn’t have the best education growing up, she possesses the gift of high perception. She is aware of the basic social situation—partially because of her work with senators—and can pick up a little about people just from observing for long enough. She also has a lot of street smarts.
- Rylie is a master of deception. She has her Courier persona, Rylie, and then her Smuggler Alias, Tessa. She can lie, straight-faced and convincingly, to anyone but senators.
- She is surprising strong for her size. She can handle herself in a fist or knife fight.

PERSONALITY:
Courier Rylie Ipsesyn—actual personality
Loyal, truthful and, over all, professional, Rylie always sees her missions to a proper close. She’ll destroy top secret information before she lets it fall into the wrong hands…or she’ll kill the information’s thief. She knows well the importance and sensitivity of her job.
She is a true Republic patriot and loyalist to the Senate. Her view of the Jedi is not nearly as positive; she believes that they use men and women, as they attempted to use her and are using her brother, to perpetuate their ideals and personal vendetta against the Sith.
To any positive relation—friend, acquaintance, professional, romantic, familial—she is kind and caring. In a professional setting, if she a feels, or is told, that a less formal relationship is warranted, she will act like a friend and less like a strict partner.

Smuggler Tessa Ses—undercover personality
A smooth-talking, graceful, straight-to-business woman, Tessa is known by some influential members of various undergrounds as a cheap, dependable smuggler. She does do some illegal smuggling in order to cover up her senate business. If she deliverers her packages under the radar, she avoids criminal or political opponents who might want to intercept and steal them.
She is rarely truthful about anything to her fellow smugglers and criminals, and constantly lies through her teeth about the nature of her business. None of her illegal contacts know her real identity, and she keeps a semi-personal and business—but distant—relationship with all of them.

BIOGRAPHY:
Rylie was born blind in one eye on Ord Mantel to Tour and Estjohn Ipsesyn. Her twin brother, Lavidean, was born entirely Deaf.
They grew up in a shanty town. Even without much money, the family scraped enough together to get Rylie a good doctor for her eye replacement surgery.
Unlike many of their peers, the kids refused to join the gangs, though they had to deal with the black market to trade.
On the twins’ eighth birthday, a Jedi came to the family's house. That was the last Rylie saw of Lav for a decade, but she received letters from him for a few months—then all contact stopped. She slowly built up resentment for both her brother for cutting contact and the Jedi for taking him away from her.
When Rylie turned ten, her family managed to move into a proper apartment inside a real town.
One day, by chance, she met Barrett Devarian, the son of the Senator of Ord Mantel at the time. The two instantly became good friends and, over years, Rylie got a little look into a senator’s problems—and a big one was Senator Devarian’s lack of competent, loyal information handlers.
As soon as Rylie was seventeen, she hopped planet with her parent’s consent, determined to go to Chandrila and get hired by a senator. This was also the time she got involved in The Exchange.

She worked three years for Senator Devarian, then for four weeks for a Hutt representative fromNar Shaddaa.
After her service period, Rylie got a surprise visit from Lav. He told her to come with him, that the Jedi had just felt her power and that there was still time for her to train.
She refused to go to the Temple. Ever since, she taught herself enough of the Force to use it to “quiet” her presence to the Jedi.

After a few weeks of running information for the Rylothian and then the Hoth senator, Rylie went back to work for the Hutt representative for four more years. While undercover as a smuggler, she got arrested and served a year and a half in the Republic Judiciary Central Detention Center on Coruscant. The mission she was on completed before her arrest.
After getting out, she realized that Devarian's term had expired and the Hutt didn't have more work for her. So she caught a transport to Chandrila and spent some time there, trying to get back her old equipment, preparing to go back under and attempting to get herself hired.

SHIP:
Rylie’s ship is Fidelity, a battered YV-560 light freighter.

PETS:
Rylie has Trace, a two-year-old, one-meter-tall female massif hound. She has red eyes. As her name suggests, she trained as a tracker, but is also an attack “dog” and a sentry for Rylie’s cargo.

DROIDS:
Her ship’s co-pilot is T7-71, or TiLLI (pronounced: Till-e), a tan-colored T7-series astromech droid with faded orange highlights.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Tour Ipsesyn (mother) – Estjohn Ipsesyn (father; dead) – Lavidean “Lav” Ipsesyn (twin brother)

Tweaked a little in her background. Mainly, switched her home world, because it might help her story make sense later.
