I was smart enough to stay home..that and the roads are shit because of the week of nearly never ending snow and sub zero temps.

However apparently I'm the smart one at home as the spousey and a few other of the scout parents all went out this morning around 4am, and are still out ( as of 11:13 pst) >.<

it's worse...because 90'% of these are house wives taking the chance to get over the stress of yesterday, and the pending stress of X-mas......

seriously though If you ever saw that movie Jingle all the way that's actually pretty damn close to Black Friday, except black Friday tends to kick off around 3, to 5 am

this is what cyber Monday was designed to combat . :bitchez

what is black friday?

day after thanksgiving in the U.S officially kicks off " christmas shopping season.

so to cash on this, stores all over open up at like 3, 4 in the morning and have like massive sales and discounts on all or most items for that one day.

I mean some places like best buy have a 50inch TV going with like $1,000 USD off it's normal price, scoring games at like 70% off etc etc etc...

and it's all over, and pretty much every and all stores now count on black friday to make up the bulk of their holiday sales.

That's because they are zombies :CHappy

Nice place to spend your vacations

I'm just glad I got a good few games out of it. Frankly, I do not need anymore of that chaos. I pity Djak, as I more than once told an employee at the store "Good luck".

But I did notice that you can tell the economic climate has changed. High-tech stuff was actually lower on the list for some people than say: clothing, cooking/washing appliances, and stuff they actually needed. Stuff that they didn't need was generally left alone at first (except for gosh damn Wii games. I was lucky I found one good game left).

Still in Houston and took advantage of some deals. Going back again tomorrow. Found a 1934 Mosin Nagant with bayonet, belt, and ammunition clips for 99$.

I work at a Drycleaners and it was positively dead today. Most likely because we don't offer BF deals.

At any rate, I went to a clothing outlet and bought a shitload of sweats for the winter.

And I heard that sales are continuing through the weekend, so I'll take a look around...

Believe it or not, the Saturday before Christmas is actually worse than Black Friday.

I didn't stay at that clothing store long after that day.
