And Pierre Lindegaard is dead at the hands of Leandros Solus, cut down by his onslaught of blaster bolts from his Quickdraws. Perhaps if he didn't start flirting with the idea of being in cahoots with the Old Empire, working with aliens, and selling his services as a trained Sith to get an 'easy cheque' he wouldn't have found himself in this situation. He really should have known better.

Oh well, shit happens. On to the next life.

This had grown into quite the predicament, what began has a quick trip for venom and toxin now turned into a battle for her survival. It would be wrong to say that the Pantoran was not ready for death; however, to be cut down by three Mandalorian warriors was not exactly her prime dying wish. It seemed that for the time being, she would not get her opportunity to shape galactic events. No matter how powerful Leondros was, he knew and she knew that all it took was one slip on his end to end his tyranny. However, it would not be occurring on this day; The Mandalorian field marshall was far too wise to fall for her trap, engaging with her in single combat would risk everything and she supposed that smart warriors made smart decisions.

The sun light broke into darkened caverns when a portion of the wall broke down by the violator shot, her change of heart to aid Pierre made her change directions. The dark Dax (on account of his darker skin complexion) seized his opportunity to fire his bowcaster towards her; however, as her changing directions aided his offense, it inadvertently aided her defense. The Pantoran had already turned and was planning to slide towards the rocks towards her left when the first bowcaster bolt hit true. Luckily, she was turned, the bolt slashing into her right flank and piercing through the armored torso piece. She shrieked in pain, the force of the blow interrupting her slide and plummeted her to her left onto the unwelcoming ground, allowing the second shot to fly overhead. Rolling quickly towards the rocks, her position was no longer in Dax's direct line of sight, meaning further bowcaster bolts would likely hit the stone formation in-between them.

Additionally, now she would have to brace for the oncoming barrage of repeater shots from the other Dax. His usage of the repeater in full auto was dangerous but also highly inaccurate, as numerous shots flew off into the regions surrounding her position while the others would smash into the rocks in front of her. As not all 50 were aimed to destroy her cover, it allowed the stone and ruins to sustain the damage as his power pack ran dry. It was at this moment, she would have to make her first strike. The second Dax, soon to be watch captain was most vulnerable as being committed to his firing; she peaked from the left edge of the rocks (right side of rocks on map), being careful to avoid the shattering stone and debris from continued blaster fire. A sinister smile crept on her lips as she gestured with her hand, using the force to draw around Pierre's fallen lightsaber and suddenly snap the object towards Dax. The weapon would remain unignited, allowing it to fly quickly and discreetly while the Mandalorian was focused on shooting around her position. The blade activated only as the weapon would come into contact, a sudden horizontal slash, aiming to bisect the distracted soldier in two @Taz .

If the deed was finished, she'd release her concentration on the hilt and instead would summon the force back towards her in preparation for whatever the other two adversaries would do next.

Leandros watched his barrage of bolts turn Pierre into nothing more than a bleeding, blistered corpse. The Sith hit the dusty ground unceremoniously, dropping his lightsabers. He holstered his quickdraws before the corpse even fell, aware that there was still a significant threat within the cave, and decided that he was done playing these games. The acolyte within did not take up his offer of challenging him in combat – despite being the one to challenge him first – and instead cowered within the recesses of the rocky ruin. So, Leandros took the PIPE off of his back and resolved to solve this method the best way he knew how: with liberal application of explosive ordnance.

He ran over towards the opening of the cave, maybe some twenty-ish meters from where Victoria now cowered, a few meters behind Pierre, and leveled his PIPE. He fired just past the cover she was sitting behind, aiming to either flush her forwards and out from cover, or to completely annihilate her in the rocket’s explosion. With the distance, it had under a second to travel, and, now that she was occupied utilizing the Force to attack his comrades, she would be too distracted to react quick enough. At the distances from which the two were attacking, his rocket would reach her before the lightsaber would reach Dax. After the rocket fully exited the tube, he tossed the PIPE off of his shoulder and onto the ground, drawing his blasters once again.

Contrary to Victoria’s belief, Dax Rau had only fired his repeater for a two-second burst, sending ten bolts her way before he was done and surely on the move. In any case, as Leandros went to fire the rocket and noticed the lightsaber begin to move, he shouted out ”Watch your sides!” in alarm to warn his comrades of the approaching Force-manipulated lightsaber.

Dax wasn't bothered by the effectiveness of their attacks, or the bizzare way in which the woman moved about, almost jumping around from position to position like a glitch in some simulation. He would deal with all that later, right now his focus was on finishing the job. If she wasn't already down then they simply had to continue attacking till she was. So once the bowcaster was spent he slung it over his shoulder and pulled out his rifle, taking aim at where the woman had taken cover and waited.

With the cave blocked in from all sides and the Mandalorians standing at the only way in and out, it was simply a matter of waiting her out. Sooner or later she would fall, they simply had to be patient. And she presented that opportunity when she peaked out from cover to try whatever she was trying to do. At once Dax took aim and fired, firing off five back to back shots at her. With her concentration on the lightsaber, floating which from as far as she was would take almost all of her attention, she would have no time to react and no defense prepared for the shots that would come flying for her. And the moment even one of the shots hit her concentration would be broken and the lightsaber would fall harmlessly to the floor. Add in the fact that Leandros was firing his PIPE at almost the same time meant that she would be stuck trying to play tricks with the fallen Sith's lightsaber when multiple attacks would hit her.

There wasn't much she could do, she had performed to the best of her abilities and allowed her ally Arial to escape. She had no regrets, this was war and she was a casualty. Her lightsaber attack halted mid-way as she watched in the periphery as everything around her smoldered and incinerated with the explosion of the PIPE. Her life flashed in the brief second of time, a curling smile coming to her face as her body was extinguished almost instantly. The caves crumbling and falling down on itself with the ripples of force sent by the explosion.

The Mandalorian had been saved by the diligent efforts of his teammates, a deed that perhaps Dax Rau should never forget. As for the Pantoran, oh well, she shared Pierre's last sentiment: On to the next life.

Fires of Rebellion indeed...
