Nier raised his left hand and caught the Lightsaber easily. Even though he was not good with most forms of technology, he did notice that the weight of the contraption was far, far lighter than that of Vergessenheit.

As a weapons forger, Nier had an interest in finding out as to how weapons were made, and was able to quickly get the hand of making a specific weapon simply by looking at the a weapon's characteristics. Of course, those were the Branch weapons, not technologically advanced Lightsabers.

Raising the light weapon up to his eyes, he looked down at the hilt as one would to check how straight a blade was, and took in every groove, button, and the wear of the weapon. When finished at looking at the blade, he swung it around a few times, his strikes nothing more than a blur to most normal individuals, he was able to swing far more quickly than with his own weapon. Finally, after a few practice swings, he raised his left hand out with the Lightsaber in hand, and activated it, as he saw his Master do minutes before.

Nier stared at the shimmering light that radiated from the hilt of the Lightsaber, and digging something from inside his cloak, he tossed it into the air before a strike followed by light slice it in two. When half of a piece of fruit landed, the area where it was cut cauterized, Nier knelt down and picked up one of the burnt pieces and took a look at it, just after deactivating the Lightsaber.

In deep thought, Nier pocketed the fruit and turned to Christian, walked over, and bowed deeply, both of his arms raised with the Lightsaber in both of his palms, which were outstretched to the Master Jedi, "I thank you, Master, for allowing me to take a look at such a weapon."

The young man's voice was practically brimming with respect, having seen such a thing for the first time, as well as actually getting to wield it (somewhat), "This Lightsaber is an incredibly light object, is made of a number of different alloys and materials, and I would have to guess it is extremely complex on the inside to be able to produce a Blade of Light."

Nier, still bowing low, simply continued, "As for the actual blade, it is somehow made of an energy that seems capable of going through a large number of objects, including metals if I am correct, due to how easily it went through the Fruit and the blade's own properties. It is also capable of cauterizing wounds due to the heat emitted, allowing one to remove limbs and still have a high chance to allow that individual to live, at the expense of the limb, of course."

Slowly lifting himself from the bow, Nier looked at his Master, "However... I noticed that while the Lightsaber is worn, it seems to be missing the feeling that weapons as a whole possess. . ."

Raised as a member of Branch Licht, Nier and other children were taught to never hold back in a battle, and that every weapon was one that would aid the wielder in battle, to remove those from your path, should they stand in your way. This lead to the creation of Vergessenheit, a weapon meant only to kill, while at the same time, it was Nier's sword, companion, and trusted friend.

The Lightsaber, however, seemed to be lacking the feeling that it is a weapon as a whole, but feels as if it was something else... He simply could not place his finger on it..

Nier's eyes widened slightly, and he whispered just loud enough for a mouse to hear, "A symbol... A symbol of the Jedi Order.."

The Jedi Order, as far as he knew, stood for Honor, Peace, and Compassion. So the owners of the Lightsabers must be something along the lines of Guardians for these things.. At least, that is what he suddenly conjured into his mind, and it was his opinion..

''The lightsaber is similar to your weapon, a lightsaber is a personification of the person in an inanimate object. You see my lightsaber makes terrible jokes and annoys jedi masters but it also has a slightly longer blade then most and a more focused blade.''

He used the force to bring the blade form his padawan back into his own hand, he believed it had had the effect he wanted on his padawan. The lightsaber was a truly great thing, some saw it only as a tool and were more focused on the force but Christian put all his effort into the blade and all that went with it.

''I want you to build one my friend, I believe this will help you not only in your training but also help yourself on a personal level. I want you to go to Ilum on the outer rim and come back with a crystal for your blade, the crystal will choose you my friend and you it''

Christian thought back to when he traveled to the outer rim world to find his crystal, it was many years ago when he was still a teenager but he remembered the feeling of awe finding the astonishing crystal cave.

Nier nodded at the Master's words, but did so with a frown, "Master, I do not know of this planet Ilum, and even if I did, I do not have a means to get to it at this time." He was correct, as he had just recently left his home of Dantooine and had done nothing but seek out the Jedi with the aid of a friend of his, leaving him little to no time to actually explore the galaxy himself.

"Although, I could call Nu and have her bring me there; she does know the galaxy far better than I, and has her own ship..." This was spoken in a whisper to himself, but could easily be overheard by the other occupant in the room. The young man stood there with his hand on his chin in deep thought; perhaps he should have studied the maps when he was with Nu even more so, just to get a better clue as to the locations of the numerous planets in the galaxy...

''Already well in hand my young friend as I am letting you take my ship and before you even think about it I am fully aware of the amount of credits in the cargo hold!''

He said this with mock seriousness before laughing and taking out the command key. He walked forward and place it into Nier's hand. His ship was not his pride and joy and in fact was something of a drain on his resources but it did the job and it was very fast. Most correlian light Freighters did.

''If you wish to bring your companion with you and you believe them trustworthy then of course you can use there ship instead but only Jedi are allowed into the caves where the crystal's are so bare that in mind if you take anyone with you.''

Nodding in thanks, Nier pocketed the key and began to wrap up Vergessenheit with bandages, quickly and efficiently hiding its menacing visage from view, sans the sheer size of the weapon. He lifted his hood up, covering a majority of his face in shadow, just as it was when the two Jedi first met, only this time a small smile was on the younger man's face.

"Before I go, is there anything I should know about this planet in particular, as well as this Crystal Cavern? Or will I simply have to find out for myself, like a surprise?" Nier did not wish to head out unprepared, especially to a new planet that he had never been before, but would attempt to prepare to the best of his abilities.

Christian smiled as he listened to Tier who clearly wanted to be as prepared as possible and that was most definitely a good thing. Being in control of a situation started by having a through take on all the information that was present.

However it rarely happened that way.

''It is very cold so wrap up warm, other then that you will find out when you get there. Now pip pip my young friend as you have a long journey ahead of you!''

Snorting, Nier smiled as he opened the door to the training room, "I'll be sure to pack up some warm gear and supplies for the trip." The young man left, his hand waving to the man behind him in a short moment where he did not display full respect.

"I also guess the best experience is firsthand experience!" With that, the Padawan disappeared from view, taking long strides towards the hanger, and clumsily setting course for Ilum.

----- Scene moved from The Crystalline Temple -----

Inside one of the numerous hangers of the Will of the Force sat a frost-covered freighter belonging to one Jedi Knight. Luckily for him, the ship was not damaged in anyway, besides a large portion of paint that is.

Nier moved swiftly through the corridors of the Will with his destination already in his mind; he had acquired two crystals from his trip to Ilum, a small yet vibrant blue crystal, and a large and dull green crystal. He patted the bags that held the two crystals that would eventually allow him to create his first Lightsaber, or maybe, Lightsabers. The Padawan quickly arrived at the door to the room in which he was to be training in during his stay on the massive ship and knocked twice before entering.

If his Master was here, then they could move along that much more quickly. If not, then Nier would patiently await the man's arrival, perhaps even taking a closer look at the strange crystalline objects he possessed...

Regardless, the young man, practically draped in ice and snow, entered the training chambers. He still hadn't forgotten the harsh environment that his Master let him witness face-first either. . .

Christian knew his padawan was on the will of the force as soon as he touched down and so made his way directly to the training room they used.

He had hoped that his padawan had taken two things out of the mission, One was that he had his crystals that could be used to construct his lightsaber and another was a few basic survival skills as Ilum was a harsh and frozen world indeed.

He opened the door to the training room and Nier was stood before him, still looking rather cold and somewhat grumpy....Christian did he best not to laugh but he couldn't help but sound cheerful.

''I remember my first time on Ilum, nothing really prepares you for the cold eh!''

"'Cold' does not even begin to describe that frozen wasteland." Nier was far from amused if the twitching brow and pulsating temple was of any indication. The young man's face was neutral, yet one could tell that he wasn't exactly happy about having a horrendously freezing blast of wind come up and smack him in the face, with evidence still in the form of snow and ice clinging to his silver hair. Hopefully, however, the outcome would bear fruit in the form of a Lightsaber or two.

Turning to face his Master fully, Nier bowed in respect; even as unamused he was about the past events, the man standing before him was his Master and tutor, "As you can see, I've returned from the planet Ilum, and I have brought with me two crystals," at this point, Nier detached the bags from his belt and held them out to Christian, each bag containing one of the crystals.

Christian chuckled as he looked in the bag seeing two very different crystals not only in colour but size and force presence.

''Excellent work! So which one do you feel a greater affinity for? A lightsaber crystal is something like a pet in a strange way, you should be able to feel it's presence, and feel towards it with the force. Or do you intend to make two lightsabers as you feel an affinity to both?''

Blinking at the mention of a Lightsaber crystal being described as a pet, Nier rose from his bow and stood straight, "Well, even though both crystals are different in size and shape, they both seem to radiate with some sort of aura," he looked at the bags that contained the crystals, "The blue crystal, while lesser in size, seems to be more refined than its larger green counterpart, which pulsates with power.."

Bowing his head, the young Padawan continued, "With your permission, I'd like the chance to create two Lightsabers."

Nier, while an expert weapons-forger in Branch Licht, was just that; he had no expertise in the crafting of such complicated weaponry, only that of which possessed brute force and speed with simple materials, such as his blade, Vergessenheit. Regardless, the Padawan would try his best to create at least a single Lightsaber if it meant getting closer to achieving answers.

''We will use the green one first to create a blade then we can move onto the blue one, Baby steps my good man I don't want you getting too good or it will make me look bad!'

Christian smiled as he moved over to a nearby table and pulled towards him a large box situated on the table. Inside were numerous items used to create a lightsaber.

''Here they are Tier, these are the pieces that make up the weapon of a Jedi Knight. We have the Lightsaber hilt, pommel cap, the power cell along with the insulator along with the lens and emitter matrix. Alot to remember eh!''

Having followed the Knight to the table, Nier set the bags on the table and pulled out the large, dull green crystal as he eyed the numerous tools and parts he would have to use to make his Lightsaber.

"Hilt, pummel, power-cell, insulator, lens, emitter matrix..." These words were muttered by the Padawan as he took in the indicated parts that Christian mentioned. Basically, creating a Lightsaber was the same as forging a blade; parts and pieces. What Nier was worried about was the small, delicate things that he may have to do, such as wiring and all that other complex stuff. Breathing in and out a few times to relieve himself of his nervousness, he felt prepared enough to begin the crafting of the complex (to him) weapon.

''However you will not touch any of this with your hands! I am a rotter aren't I but that is the way it is''

Christian picked up all the items Tier would need and took them towards the carpeted floor sitting down and spreading the items infront of him.

''You have some experience of building a weapon and you have experience of treating a weapon as more then a weapon. A lightsaber is a symbol of who you are and what kind of Jedi you will be. So, tell me my young cold grumpy friend what kind of Jedi will you be?''

OOC: Tier? I am going to assume you mean Nier? :?

Nier did not know as to how he was going to create his Lightsaber without being able to even lay a finger on the parts and tools that he'd need. However, before he could delve deeper into his thoughts, his Master brought on the topic of what kind of Jedi he would be. Blinking and furrowing his brows slightly in confusion, Nier walked over to Christian, with his eyes locked onto the parts that were laid out on the matted floor, "What kind of Jedi will I be..? What do you mean, Master?"

ooc: It's Tier now damnit! :CStern whoops

''Our order is not as cut and dry as many think. What will you do when faced with certain situations? When a women is being attacked by a group of street thugs what do you do? Obviously you never truly know what you will do until a situation happens but you have to think on these things my dear friend! Don't think too hard now though as it's still early in the morning!''

Christian smiled but he was interested to know, Nier was a conflicted young man and he wanted to know if he would be rash or would he mirror his personality in a more considered way.

Still somewhat confused, Nier thought about what Christian said with his left hand on his chin, his right hidden beneath the cloak he bore, "... If a woman were attacked by street thugs... The Branch teaches the young to fend for themselves as they grow older, yet to look for aid from the Elders at a young age..." He eyed the crystals that now sat on the ground next to the numerous parts of the Lightsabers, "So if I were fully influenced by my Branches' teachings, then I would have left the woman and thugs be."

"However," by now, the young Padawan was rubbing the bridge of his nose, "I am not completely influenced, and the New Jedi Order would not allow something like that to go unannounced.. So, as a Jedi, I would use force to remove them." Nier shook his head for a few seconds before looking at the Knight, "I know that violence is not the Jedi way, but I don't see myself attempting to disarm others through speech of all things."

"So, to put things simply," he let a thin, mirthless smile edge itself onto his face, "I'd most likely use force to resolve certain issues rather than diplomacy."

Almost immediately after the words left his mouth however, the smile slipped off his face, and was replaced with a grim frown, "Do note, however, that while not fully influenced by Branch Licht's teachings, that there are some things that I will not tolerate under any circumstances." With that, the young man closed his eyes, awaiting for the Master's appraisal.

Christian listened to the answer with a nodding head, there was no truly wrong or right answer to the question, well there was if Nier said he would of chopped there heads of and danced in there blood but thankfully he didn't.out this

''Tell me about this branch Lichts teachings, I see no problem with you keeping the fundamental teachings of your people's ways but I would like to know as you are a jedi know. Hoping your not gonna get conflicted by it my good man''

Nodding slowly and relaxing considerably at Christian's request to know of Branch Licht's teachings, Nier began speaking while attempting to gather the countless rules and such the Branch dictated, "As you may know from my files, I hail from Branch Licht, one of two Branches of the Scion Main Family. Branch Licht's teachings mostly consist of fending for oneself as one grows older, yet asking for aid at a young age, as to harness knowledge and prepare the young for the world they will grow into."

"Branch Licht, being the physically superior of the two, holds physical prowess in high regard, especially in strength and coordination of the body. However, when it comes to combat situations..."
The Padawan let loose a small and silent sigh, "they look down upon the concept of Mercy, just as Branch Schatten does. 'Mercy is for the weak, as it displays that you cannot finish the harshest of tasks that are set ahead of you, and it shall lead you to an early grave.' That is what the Highlords say, and I've come to accept that."

At this time, Nier had taken off his cloak and set it off to the side, "Afterall, if I hadn't," he raised his right hand slightly, enough for Christian to see the gesture, face devoid of emotion, much like those that participated in massacres and slaughters, "I would have died quite a while ago during my early years."

Face still devoid of emotion, Nier tilted his head slightly, "If you wish to know as to why, then you merely need to ask."

"However, do note that I will attempt to adapt to the teachings of the Jedi Order with the best of my abilities." With that, the Padawan went silent as he let his hand drop back to his side.
