Ranks & Titles of the Jedi Order

The Jedi Order is a highly diverse organization with a variety of roles and jobs for its equally diverse members. As a result, though it has four "core" ranks, some Jedi become more specialized as they grow and take on missions to benefit the Order. These Jedi are often bestowed with unique titles, in addition to their rank, to make them distinguishable for their service to the Order. The ranks and titles of the Jedi Order can be found below:

Jedi Knight (★☆☆☆): Formerly, Jedi Padawan was the lowest achievable rank. But, with its abolishment in the Hundred-Year Darkness, Jedi Knight has become the lowest rank obtainable. Jedi Knights are the foot soldiers of the Order. They carry out missions to benefit the Order and fight on the frontlines of most battles.

Jedi Master (★★☆☆): Jedi Masters were extremely powerful Jedi whom, having completed the Trials of Mastery, were deemed to be leaders within the Order. Masters typically took on more dangerous missions, led the Knights, and several even took Knights under their wings as apprentices, despite the abolishment of the Padawan rank. Jedi Masters also had higher levels of clearance in Jedi temples, and were able to access more of the Archives than a typical Jedi Knight. Though lower in rank than a High Council member, Jedi Masters can sit on lower Jedi councils, or temple-specific satellite councils.
  • Jedi General (★★☆☆ + Plot/Battle): A specialized title given to those Jedi Masters who command Knights, leading them into battle. Generals are chosen not only for their martial skills, but for their abilities as battle tacticians, and their skills in leading large numbers of troops into battle. Jedi Generals can also be put in command of allied civilian forces under certain circumstances. This rank is given to those Jedi who prove themselves in combat.
  • Temple Master (★★☆☆ + Plot): A specialized title granted to those Jedi Masters who lead one of the Order's various temples. These Jedi oversee the daily operations of the Order's various temples and academies and are directly in-charge of the Jedi who occupy them. These Masters may also choose to form satellite councils to help oversee their temples. This rank is generally conferred upon those who start or capture a temple, or those who prove great responsibility within a certain temple.
Jedi Council (★★★☆ + Jedi Master + Plot): Jedi Council members are elected from among the ranks of the Jedi Masters to lead the entire Jedi Order on the "Jedi High Council." The High Council oversees the Order ands its members are among the most powerful Jedi alive. The Council dictates missions, oversees promotions, and its members have the highest clearance: allowing them to access the restricted holocron vaults of the Jedi Archives. Jedi Council members also often act as leaders or moderators for lesser counciles, such as the Council of First Knowledge or the more recently established Council of Mastery.
  • Master of the Order** (★★★☆ + Event): The "Master of the Order" is a special Council title that denotes the leader of the High Council. This Jedi is usually considered one of the Council's strongest and wisest members. They also set the agenda, and act as moderators for, High Council meetings. The title can be obtained by appointment, vote, or, in rare instance, can be self-declared.
  • Jedi Lord (★★★★ + Event): The "Jedi Lord" title belongs to the Jedi who commands the Jedi army and naval forces. This Jedi is among the few in the Order who can match the Grand Master in terms of power and skill. The Jedi Lord oversees the Jedi Generals and is the ultimate authority over the Jedi Temple Guards, in addition to having a seat upon the High Council. This Jedi's title is obtained by a demonstration of power and a vote of his peers (other Jedi Council members).
Grand Master (★★★★ + Jedi Council + Event): The Grand Master of the Jedi Order is the Order's singular leader and, often, the strongest Jedi in the entire organization. This Jedi is declared from among the ranks of the Jedi Council and serves for life, unless killed or retired. Though the Grand Master may defer to the Council's wisdom (and a good Grand Master does) concerning the direction of the Order, all decisions must be finalized and approved by the Grand Master, who has ultimate authority over everything the Order does.

Other Jedi titles:***

Sage Master (Jedi Master + Event): A rare Jedi title given to those Jedi who have proven themselves to be adept at the use of the light side of the Force to a level above most of their peers. Sage Masters are usually associated with a high degree of wisdom and have mastered the Force heal ability to its highest degree, thereby making them the Order's most adept healers. The title is generally held by those who possess the rank of Jedi Master, or one of the ranks above it.

Lore Keeper (Jedi Knight/Master + Plot): The title of Lore Keeper predated the concept of a Jedi Consular and was given to Jedi Knights and Masters who oversaw the knowledge and wisdom of the Order, usually in the capacity of a librarian or an archivist. Only those who achieved this title were selected to sit upon the Council of First Knowledge. And the title itself was given to those Jedi who proved their dedication to gathering and protecting the lore of their Order.

Barsen'thor (Event): The Barsen'thor, a Ceran word meaning "Warden of the Order," was a special Jedi title given to only a single Jedi at a time. The Warden didn't have any particular function in the Order, but the title was given to a Jedi who preformed extraordinary deeds on behalf of the Order. The Barsen'thor was, thus, a role model for other Jedi, making the person who obtained the rank an extremely important Jedi. The title was often gifted the Jedi Masters, especially those who sat on the High Council, though it wasn't a title restricted by rank, but rather by deed.

---
* Filled stars indicate the minimum Level a character must be before they can apply for the rank in question (i.e., One filled star is equivalent to Level 1, etc.). The "Event" stipulation indicates that a special event, either faction-wide or site-wide, takes place that grants the character the rank in question.
** In canon, "Grand Master" is the leader of the High Council, while "Master of the Order" leads the Order as a whole. SWRP reverses these roles.
*** Unlike rank, titles stack. This means a Jedi, while only having a single rank, can have several titles applied to their name at the same time.

Ryder Emrys
Dark Jedi, Exile Apprentice
|
Ryder Emrys was a human male Dark Jedi who numbered among the fallen Jedi Exiles. The secret son of two Jedi Knights, Ryder was born with an incredible affinity for the Force, but was abandoned on the planet Anoat by his parents to hide the fruits of their tryst. As a result, Ryder grew up on the streets and fell in with the criminal element there. In his early teens, he was discovered by members of the lesser Mandalorian Clan Emrys. Because of his ability, he was taken in, trained to be one of them, and even given their clan name. But the Force within him knew that he was always destined for some greater purpose, and so he waited on Concord Dawn for the herald of that destiny to arrive.

    The Mandalorians of Clan Emrys.
    Oa4FZPP.png

    The slums of Anoat.

    Lowly Beginnings
Ryder never knew his parents. Unknown to him, they were both Jedi Knights who fell in love: a forbidden act by the Jedi Code. When their secret affair resulted in pregnancy, they hid on Anoat, where they eventually left their child, so that they might remain undiscovered. As the result, the child fell into the hands of a small-time crime lord, who gave him his first name and raised him up as a pickpocket and a spy. As he grew older, he learned to be a skilled combatant, as well, as he had fought in numerous life-or-death situations (unknowingly aided by the Force).

When he was still a young teen, Ryder's fighting abilities had earned him a place in Anoat's fighting pits: a place notorious for pitting children against each other for the entertainment of the local crime lords. Through his unconscious manipulation of the Force's dark side, Ryder became one of the more prominent fighters in the pits, catching the attention of the Mandalorian Clan Emrys: a raving band of mercenaries from Concord Dawn. After seeing Ryder's skills firsthand, Pre Emrys, the head of the Clan, bought Ryder's freedom. In exchange, he was to travel to Concord Dawn to test his mettle as a true Mandalorian warrior.

His early success in life, however, had made him arrogant. As a result, his early training was mostly met with roadblocks and failure. One mission in particular took him back to Anoat, where he met and fell in love with another "slum-rat," simply named Kaeden. Together, the two infiltrated the gang that had once held Ryder in bondage, intent on killing the crime lord that led the gang. But, after more than a standard year on Anoat, and despite working together, neither achieved the goal. In a tragic turn of events, Kaeden betrayed Ryder to the crime boss, and the young would-be-Mandalorian narrowly escaped the gang with his life.

Before he could escape Anoat entirely, though, Ryder was confronted by Kaeden. Giving into the emotions that ruled him—anger, hatred, betrayal, sorrow, and abandonment—Ryder strangled Kaeden to the death through the Force. The act of killing the boy he loved broke something inside of him, leaving him teetering back and forth between the dark side and the light. Unbalanced, his powers began to manifest more frequently and unpredictably—especially whenever the Mandalorian youth was enraged. Still, after hearing his testimony, the leaders of Clan Emrys felt that Ryder finally had what it took to be one of them and so granted him their surname.

But Ryder knew he was destined for something greater, and so, after sensing a dark premonition, he decided to remain on Concord Dawn and await the herald of his great destiny...

Although he may have lost much of his reputation from his expulsion, his notoriety as a womanizer and heartbreaker remains perfectly intact. Lustful and hard to satisfy, Nicolás tends to jump from relationship to relationship without regard for anyone but himself. In stark contrast, he was remarkably stubborn and spiteful, and even if he knows he is wrong about a particular point, he will cling to it like skin to the bone. Losing is neither part of his vocabulary, and he will do whatever it takes to win, even if it involves nothing more than a brief argument. To call him petty would be a compliment and to say he is a cynic would be an understatement. Short-tempered, selfish, sarcastic: three fitting words for a man unfit to be Senator. Not that he had the choice or the desire to be one in the first place, though.

Still, Nicolás’ finer traits involve anything from his relentless determination, quick wit and unmatched cunning. He might be an asshole, but he’s a suave asshole. Dressed to kill and with an obnoxious quip or clever trick always up his sleeve, Nicolás makes excellent company as long as you earn his respect or admiration. His greed and reputation as a heartbreaker does have its advantages too— he can read anyone like an open book, play them like a flute, or bend them to his own will. Even when rejected, he always makes it seem like he was the one rejecting. Of course, despite always trying to one-up everyone within a twenty meter radius, anyone with a wit or charm on par to his own can quickly earn his regard, and therefore his respect. A respect most may find especially hard to obtain.

Nicolás has a brilliant mind and a sharp tongue, but there is one particular skill he has come to almost master: the Force. Late in his childhood, he had discovered his latent Force abilities through the help of a passing Exile. The pair secretly met countless times, often for more than just training, but fearing that he would be banished from Brentaal for his newfound power, Nicolás later forced the Exile to leave. There was no room for the Force, even if he had learned to control it and hide it from those around him— there was only his ambition. An ambition fueled by his diplomatic finesse and unparalleled charm, much like any other politician. Needless to say, his clandestine knowledge of the Force could threaten that ambition, or better yet— strengthen it.

Not that the Junior Senator plans to use it anytime soon. He might have been trained by an Exile, but his lack of regard for the Force in general leaves him virtually unaligned. Or at least, not yet corrupted with the dark side. Still, that does not guarantee he could escape it forever. No matter what, the Force will call for him. Like a whisper, like an echo. Eventually, it will catch up to him.

  • Weapons and Armor
Weapons and armor to be listed in the opening post of any PvP, but Nicolás can be most commonly found beside a vibrosword and generic blaster.

    x[NPC] Ergo Cormand

Ergo Cormand is current head of House Cormand and one of the most powerful men on Brentaal. From his early childhood to the ripe age of 56, he has maintained his House’s influence across the planet and particularly in its capital, Cormand— named after their earliest ancestors. Despite his vast wealth and authority, his House is starting to enter its slow decline. As one of the oldest houses, it is bound to be the first to fall, a thought Ergo fears the most. Hence why he chose to exile his bastard son to the Senate, having feared that his unconventional ideas could ruin what he so desperately clings to.

    ZJk596V.jpg
    x[NPC] Matías Cormond

Matías Cormond is the firstborn son of Ergo Cormond, the half-brother of Nicolás, and the heir to House Cormond. Although charming and clever, he falls short behind his brother’s tactical thinking and trading proficiency, often to the point that he must rely on his father for help. Pampered and spoiled far beyond Nicolás, his ego has shot through the roof and into the stars. Although he and Nicolás were once inseparable, the latter man has come to find Matías to be, quote: “a dumb asshole.”

Calvus Vane

We are, all of us, always being tested, my friend. Tests make us stronger, and strength is power, and power is the point. We must pass all the tests we face... or die in the effort.
— Darth Sidious (Dark Lord of the Sith)

Calvus Vane, a Force-sensitive human male, was a Jedi Knight who fought for the Jedi Order during the tale end and in the aftermath of the Hundred-Year Darkness. A scion of the noteworthy House of Vane from the Outer Rim planet of Valahari, Vane was born in 6924 BBY—twenty-one years prior to the end of the Darkness and the start of the shadow war between the Jedi Order and the Jedi Exile splinter-faction—alongside his twin brother, Albus Vane. Discovered to be strong with the Force at a young age, his parents abdicated both twins to the Jedi Order, who were afraid that they might be kidnapped by one of the warring Exile factions otherwise. As a result, he began to learn the Jedi arts from Jedi Master Garen Haazen on Ossus.

Shortly after the end of the Darkness, Vane and his twin completed their apprenticeship and went on to become Jedi Sentinels: followers of Jedi Master Ryell Vao. Throughout the ensuing shadow war between the remaining Jedi Exiles and the splintered Jedi Order, the twins embarked upon numerous missions across the galaxy, which were not only fraught with fighting but also made them deeply aware of the suffering on the front lines. Despite the Jedi forbearance on attachments, the twins relied upon their connection—as the only family they knew—to deal with the horrors of the war. This came to a tragic end during the fall of Ossus when the Exiles-turned-Sith killed Albus in battle. The loss of his twin was a shatterpoint for Vane, and it left him uncertain about his place within the Order, along with severe feelings of resent and anger.

Early life

Q3S9OkQ.jpg
Calvus Vane and his twin brother, Albus Vane, were born on Valahari: a planet in the Outer Rim Territories known for producing high-quality starfighters and extraordinarily talented pilots. The twins were born sons of the House of Vane, which was Valahari's royal family and a noble house, but were, in infancy, discovered to be immensely powerful with the Force and were sent to undergo Jedi training at the Jedi Temple on Ossus because their family feared a faction of Jedi Exiles whom they believed might kidnap the boys as both political bargaining chips and for their high Force sensitivity, which could make them into powerful warriors.

Calvus and Albus were trained, initially, as Younglings under the elderly Jedi Knight Wyck. They later became official apprentices of human Jedi Master Garen Haazen. As Younglings, both twins had an extraordinary connection to the Force, which made them uncommonly strong for mere students. As they grew older, their powers increased to the point that they were comparable in strength to Jedi Masters. But though their powers were great, neither twin had full control over it.

This was more trouble for Calvus than his brother. The oldest of the twins, Calvus was made overconfident by his strength in the Force

Ssst

Sith Inquisitor — Sculptor

Specialization: Sith Inquisitor

Species: Mustafarian
Sub-species: North Mustafarian

Gender: Male
Height: 2.3 meters
Weight: 82 kilograms
Eye color: Black, red (helmet effect)
Hair color: ---
Skin color: Grey

Affiliation(s): Sith Empire

BIOGRAPHY:

Ssst was born on the volcanic world of Mustafar during the height of the Sith Empire's power. Like most of his insectoid species, his lifecycle began underground; but unlike his fellow Mustifarians, he was born in a cave that served as a locus for the dark side of the Force, which dramatically warped his mindset and turned him into a being of pure evil from an early age.

Ssst's Force-sensitivity manifested at a young age and he experimented with it, sometimes to dangerous effect, on his surroundings. He initially worried those around him by using the Force to murder young lava flees, which were being bred by the swarm who raised him for transportation purposes. Around the same age, he took an interest in carving objects and working metal; his swarm began preparing him to become their resident sculptor and blacksmith when he came of age.

As he reached maturity, Ssst's violent tendencies became more prominent. He began preforming 'twisted experiments' on lava fleas and his odd behavior culminated when he created an unsettling mask—which greatly differed from those traditionally worn by his kind—and began to wear it openly. Fearing what their spawn was fast becoming, the rest of the swarm imprisoned him in the place of his birth, hoping to contain what they feared was a growing evil until they could make a decision on what was to be done with him.

GhpbC1S.png
Ssst's presence at the dark side locus created a disturbance in the Force that was felt by a Sith Lord known as Darth Sedriss. Sedriss slaughtered Ssst's swarm and freed him from his prison. She was intrigued with the Northern Mustafarian's strength with the Force and, in return for freeing him, press-ganged him into service as her Sith apprentice.

Lady Sedriss's Sith training was rigorous and cruel. She belonged to a splinter cell within the Sith Empire which sought to overthrow five centuries of Drast leadership—the bloodline of the original Sith, Andraste—in order to impose a new Rule of the Strong. To that end, she did everything she could to bring out her new apprentice's latent strength with the dark side of the Force. She used him to torture enemies of the Sith Empire, put him through impossible tests of wit and strength in the catacombs on Moraband, and even put him through trials of extreme endurance on worlds the opposite of his home—worlds such as Malastare and Rhen Var.

In-between tests, Ssst combed the libraries of the Sith and learned the histories of the original Sith Lords. He sought their knowledge to deepen his understanding of the dark side and sought better ways of using it in his twisted experiments. These experiments were thought to have led to the deaths of many acolytes, though the validity of his responsibility was uncertain, as Ssst made sure to cover his tracks well. He also used this period to develop, sculpt, and then create his own ornate lightsaber—a testament to his abilities as an artist, just like his mask.

In particular, Ssst took interest in the research of the ancient Sith Lord Leviticus, who had somehow learned to tap into the true power of the kyber crystal and weaponize them. Believing such work would be vital to his own art, Ssst began to devour any record of the ancient Sith Lord and retraced the Sith Lord's steps, hoping to glean any information that would help him advance his own research.

EQUIPMENT

DESCRIPTION
Following the rebel operation that saw a mass-exodus of Mon Cala dissidents from their homeworld, including hundreds of shipwrights, the Galactic Alliance began laboring night-and-day with their new allies to construct ship capable of challenging the might of the Sith Empire. The MC27 star cruiser was their answer. Built in the vein of older Mon Calamari city-ships, which served as both transportation and a habitat for the Mon Cala, the MC27's design was modified to act as a battle cruiser. Initially, only a single ship was produced due to the Alliance's limited resources and clandestine factories, though plans to produce more were drawn up should the Alliance ever come upon more specialized shipyards and more manpower.

The MC27 star cruiser was an answer to the Empire's Asperse-class cruiser, matching it in size, speed, and power; but the Mon Calamari vessel also differentiated itself in a number of ways. Though the ship could serve as a battle cruiser, its primary purpose was as a constantly hidden and mobile command base for the Alliance—allowing the Alliance Command to move about the space it held influence without ever remaining in one place at a time, thus limiting their enemies' options should their rebellion ever be discovered. To further its role as a hidden, mobile base, the MC27 was, like other Mon Cala Star Cruisers, designed to be able to submerge itself underwater for long periods of time and function as a stationary aquatic base when necessary, which cut down on fuel consumption whenever the Alliance discovered a safe water world to hunker down on for awhile.

Despite its many advantages, however, the MC27 was not without its weaknesses. Like its Imperial counterpart, it was venerable to starfighters and needed to operate within a fleet (or with the aid of support vessels) when it engaged in combat in order to compensate for these weaknesses. Its venerability to starfighters come from a lack of targeting systems and weaponry which might allow it to fend of small attack craft. It was, however, equipped with hangar bays along the underbelly of the hull's main body, allowing it to launch starfighters to defend itself.

LEGALITY
Illegal. The Mon Cala were forbidden from producing their cultural ships after the Sith Empire imposed its rule over the galaxy. Furthermore, the MC27 star cruiser is considered a capital craft, generally making them illegal for civilian ownership. The only currently active vessel is property of the Galactic Alliance.

INTENT
To give the Alliance a Star Cruiser in the aftermath of its completed plots to liberate Mon Cala shipwrights and put together a mobile base. This is essentially a point-for-point reskin of the Imperial cruiser with the addition of the aquatic features due to being a Mon Cala design.

ADVANCED TECH
Yes. MC27 cruisers are not trivial to buy, steal or otherwise acquire, and it would take a substantial plot to do so.

Galactic Alliance Chain-of-Command
Alliance Ranks

The following is the current chain-of-command within the rebellious Galactic Alliance in order of authority:

Leadership

Alliance Command

Alliance Command, also referred to as High Command or the Rebel Council, serves as the governing body of the rebellion. Members of Alliance Command advise the Commander and coordinate the rebellion against the Empire. Despite the authority of the Commander, Command can also decide their fate. If leadership is found inept, they can vote to remove and immediately elect a replacement.

Note: Generals and Admirals frequently serve on the Rebel Council. However, just the act of being promoted to general or admiral does not make one a member of the Council. The Rebel Council elects its own members and generals and admirals who serve on the Council outrank those who do not. This clause is also true for Jedi Masters who serve on the Council versus those who do not.

Alliance Commander: The faction leader. The Alliance Commander serves as Commander-in-Chief, Chief of State, and the Minister of War. They are the face of the Rebellion. Selected after the loss of previous leadership, and given much needed power and authority, they are called to lead the Alliance and ensure its survival and success at any cost.

Supreme Allied Commanders: The assistant faction leader(s). These represent the leaders of the rebellion's armed forces. One represents the Jedi Council, one represents the Alliance Starfleet, and one represents the Alliance Special Forces. Together, they coordinate all of the military operations for the rebellion and serve as the military (and spiritual) advisors to the Alliance Commander. Each are equal to one another and are only second to the Alliance Commander in the chain-of-command.

Rebel Council Members: Other members of Alliance Command. These council members typically represent large groups within the rebellion (i.e., B1-TH was the smuggler representative in Command) and provide a variance of perspectives. Just as the Supreme Allied Commanders advise the Alliance Commander, these council members advise both the Commander and the Allied Commanders, particularly on the political ramifications of their decisions. They are third in the rebel chain-of-command.

Jedi Council

While only a pale comparison to the Jedi High Council of old, the Jedi Council is the recognized leadership of the handful of Jedi who still remain. It is composed of five Jedi Masters who are charged with overseeing the training requirements of new Jedi and coordinating Jedi-specific missions. The Jedi Council advises and aides Alliance Command, but is ultimately subservient to the will of Command and the Commander. The leader of the Jedi Council is a member of Alliance Command.

Alliance Special Forces

Alliance Special Forces (ASF) was an umbrella term that encompassed the Galactic Alliance Army and any specialized sub-faction or rebel cell therein.

(Rebel) General: The most senior rank of Special Forces. Generals presided over brigades of rebel ground forces and usually were the overseers of two to three rebel cells. They answered to, and received their orders from, the Supreme Allied Commander of the Alliance Special Forces.

(Rebel) Commander: Also known as "colonels." Commanders were in-charge of up to four battalions of troops and earned their rank by leading missions that benefited the whole of the Galactic Alliance. Only commanders could form and lead rebel cells.

(Rebel) Lieutenant: The second-in-command of a rebel cell and/or battalion. They are usually the Commander's most trusted officer and can take control of the cell or battalion in the Commander's stead or in the event of their absence.

Rebel: The foot soldiers and operatives of the Alliance. They are the backbone and foundation of the rebel movement. They are the diplomats, strategists, freedom fighters, spies and intelligence operatives.

Alliance Starfleet

The Galactic Alliance Starfleet (GAS), also known as the Rebel fleet and the Galactic Alliance Navy, was the spacefaring forces of the rebellion, which included the Galactic Alliance Starfighter Corps.

(Rebel) Admiral: The most senior rank of the Starfleet. Admirals generally oversaw small rebel fleets, including capital ships and several wings of starfighters. They answered to, and received their orders from, the Supreme Allied Commander of the Alliance Starfleet.

(Rebel) Captain: The most senior rank on a capital ship, unless it is an Admiral's flagship. Captains command a single ship and the starfighters attached to them, and receive their orders from their supervising admiral. They can also lead starfighter squadrons as the senior officer.

(Rebel) Lieutenant: The second-in-command of a capital ship or a starfighter squadron. They are usually the captain or commander's most trusted officer and can take control of the ship or squadron in their commanding officer's stead or in the event of their absence.

Rebel: The foot soldiers and operatives of the Alliance. They are the backbone and foundation of the rebel movement. They are the diplomats, strategists, freedom fighters, spies and intelligence operatives.

Jedi Order

The Jedi Order, known more commonly as just the Jedi in the wake of their Order's destruction five centuries ago, are what remains of the Force-sensitive monastic order that opposed the Sith and served the light side of the Force. The remains of the Order have allied themselves with the rebellion and have begun actively training the next generation of Jedi in the hopes of restoring the Order to its former glory.

Jedi Master: A Jedi Master is a seasoned and powerful warrior, as well as a master of the Force. They have undergone the most rigorous tests life has put in their way in order to prove their command and mastery over the light side of the Force. With the Jedi on the verge of extinction, it falls to the them (those of the remaining five) to train others in the ways of the Force. Jedi Masters are looked up to as leaders among their own kind and allies, albeit discreetly, within the rebellion. However, they still answer to Alliance Command.

Jedi Knight: A Jedi Knight is a fully-trained representative of the light side of the Force. Once, they were the most numerous members of the old Order. Today, they are as rare as any other Jedi. In the past, Jedi Knights were forced to go through rigorous trials to obtain the prestigious rank. Now, proving a commitment to the light and an understanding of the Force is considered enough. Jedi Knights are also skilled warriors whose presence alone can often change the tide of a battle. And in this case, a war.

Jedi Padawan: A Jedi Padawan is a Force-sensitive trainee who has just begun to learn the ways of the Force. Initially, they may have only just begun to tap into their Force potential but lack the refined control that Knights and Masters possess. Padawans train by learning alongside their fellow Knights and Masters, but also by practicing on their own. In this way, they master the skills necessary to control their powers and move up to a full-fledged Jedi Knight.

Jedi Hopeful: A Force-sensitive rebel who has been identified as a candidate for Jedi training. Only if they are taken on as a Padawan by a Knight or Master are they able to move up the ranks and begin learning what it truly means to be a Jedi.

Note: Jedi are able to hold other ranks within the Alliance. For instance, a Jedi Padawan might also be a Rebel Commander and hold the authority and responsibilities that come with that rank. However, their Jedi rank will always be dominant on their infobox to show their affiliation with the Order.

A Note About Ranks

Rebel ranks are meant to show one's seniority and military branch within the Galactic Alliance. However, the rebellion is a diverse organization comprised of cells and a plethora of professions, among them Jedi, smugglers, spies, mercenaries, soldiers, and pilots.

Just like in the canon Rebel Alliance, members of the Galactic Alliance are encouraged to hold varying professions and to see their ranks as only a sign of which military branch they belong to and where they fit into the chain-of-command.

Lyra Mona Fane
Rogue Archeologist

Sw0SASc.jpg
Doctor Lyra Mona Fane was a human female rogue historian and archeologist from Dantooine and was active during the Great Galactic War. As an academic, she graduated from the University of Bar'leth and specialized in the history of Force religions, including the Jedi Order, the Sith Order, and many other obscure religions. Despite her profession, she embarked on a number of missions for whichever faction would elicit her services and, otherwise, had a number of adventures across the galaxy.

Biography

Lyra Mona Fane was born on Dantooine in the Outer Rim Territories some twenty-six years before the outbreak of the Great Galactic War. Her father was a seasoned academic, an expert on kyber crystals who had moved his family to Dantooine to study its kyber deposits on a research grant by the Empire. Her mother was a librarian who opened a small public library in Dantoo Town. Growing up, Lyra's family was eccentric, but she was loved and grew to appreciate history and reading above all else. However, Dantooine was a relatively sparse and backwater world, and Lyra desired adventure more than anything.

kdsnemr.jpg
When she was still quite young, her father disappeared while investigating a cave containing a high number of kyber crystals. It was later discovered that he had been set upon by kinrath and devoured for disturbing their nest. Her father's death had a profound negative effect on Lyra, who became profoundly disturbed after suffering repeated night terrors about his manner of death. She deteriorated further when, not long after, her mother began seeing a new man, estranging mother and daughter permanently.

When she grew old enough, Lyra left Dantooine (and her mother) behind to attend the University of Bar'leth on Bar'leth in the Core Worlds. There, she pursued her Master's Degree in history, specializing in and eventually writing a thesis on early Force traditions in the Deep Core. During her preparation for this work, she traveled to Prakith and (supposedly) Tython, where several Force traditions predating the Jedi Order were thought to have arisen. She stayed on at the university for her doctorate in archeology, which she also obtained after finding evidence of a civilization in the Unknown Regions that used and worshiped the dark side of the Force long before the first Dark Jedi and Sith Lords arrived on the scene.

6CZy4yU.jpg
Lyra's school years were complicated by her troubled mindset, a result of her childhood and broken familial relationships, which left her very detached from those she would have otherwise called "friends." Nevertheless, she was on her way to obtaining a job as an assistant professor in galactic history at the University of Alderaan when the Empire attacked Dantooine in pursuit of vagabonds that would, much later and unbeknownst to Lyra, turn out to be the fledgling Galactic Alliance.

The attack killed many such vagabonds, but also several civilians, Lyra's mother included. Though they were estranged, Lyra took her mother's death hard and no longer felt right about supporting the Empire or working in a research university funded by it. Instead, she fled into the galaxy in pursuit of healing, answers, and, much later, adventures of her own...

Personality & Traits

JONe56W.png
Lyra Mona Fane is an eccentric, greedy, self-centered individual who has difficulty forming genuine relationships with other beings (though she is certainly skilled at faking them) due to her troubled and distraught childhood. She is also incredibly disloyal, owing to her misgivings about the Empire after its attack on Dantooine, and views the universe through a "me first, everyone else second" lens. However, these horrendous personality traits usually backfire on her hilariously, which have led to her many adventures across the galaxy since departing the University of Alderaan. She has also learned to compensate for these egregious personality flaws by becoming a quite-skilled actress, able to feign genuine interest and even care for a person or cause when the situation requires it.

As an academic, she has a sharp mind and a near photographic memory. Lyra was a good student at the University of Bar'leth, and one of her few genuine traits is her love for galactic history and the thrill of adventure she ties to her unique brand of archeology. However, even in her profession, she is by-the-by, a traitor. While no genuine archeologist would ever forfeit their discoveries for riches and glory, Lyra is basic and has no qualms with turning her finds over to criminal organizations or selling them on the black market if it earns her enough credits to live the lavish lifestyle she has come to enjoy.

Lyra has antisocial personality disorder—put plainly, she is a sociopath. She almost entirely lacks a moral compass, and has no qualms killing anyone for any reason so long as it benefits herself, and she rarely feels remorse for her actions save when her actions negatively impact her (which they frequently do). She exploits others with her wit and charm, even to the point of faking romantic relationships if necessary, and is also incredibly arrogant because of her high-degree of education, which she believes makes her smarter than the average galactic citizen.

Though she studies Force religions, finds them fascinating, and believes the Force is real, Lyra does not believe in the dichotomy of light side and dark side, choosing to believe instead that all Force users are "assholes" in some way or another. For that reason, though she can distinguish the two, she dislikes the Jedi as much as she dislikes the Sith—though she is willing to work with either or both if the ends justify the means, or in someway directly benefits herself.

Lyra Mona Fane is a human female with olive-colored skin, brown eyes, stands 1.5 meters tall, and weights approximately 49 kilograms. She has black hair, the tips of which she dies blue, and which she usually wears short (but long enough to put up into a ponytail when needed). She is commonly seen wearing tank tops, but has a variety of other outfits and armors when the situation calls for it. She can also be distinguished by the line-like electro-tattos on her upper right arm.

Powers & Abilities

5taHIqf.png
Lyra Mona Fane is a non-Force-sensitive being despite her fascination with Force religions. Outside of her skills as an academic, she has some skill with a blaster, allowing her to defend herself against others with a similar level of skill. She also has skills as a pilot, having acquired them from years of flying around the galaxy pursuing her various projects as a student. Finally, because her occupation as a rogue archeologists has sometimes required it, Lyra is somewhat competent as a slicer.

As an academic with both her Master's and doctoral degrees, she has studied a variety of languages, and can speak Galactic Basic, Huttese, Sith, and Mando'a fluently. She can also understand Shyriiwook and read a variety of dead languages associated with the Force religions that she studies, particularly the old runes of the ancient and oldest incarnations of the Jedi Order.

Leviticus Organa
Jedi Padawan

UgZoIrv.jpg
Leviticus Organa, born Leviticus Thul-Drast and better known as Levi Organa or just Levi, is a Force-sensitive Alderaanian human male and a former Jedi Padawan of the formerly hidden Jedi Order. Named for Leviticus, one of the first Sith Lords, and born into the Imperial royal Drast family, the Alderaanian royal House of Thul, and the noble House of Organa on Alderaan, Levi was discovered by the Jedi-in-hiding and taken away to train. In order to hide his lineage from himself and others, the Jedi who trained him gave him his mother's maiden name for a surname.

Levi was a promising and studious young Jedi, but, alas, he eventually discovered the truth of his lineage. Disgusted of his Drast parentage and afraid of becoming like both his ancestor and her consort (his namesake), as well as blaming the Jedi Order for the creation of the Drasts in the first place, he renounced his Jedi training and disappeared into the Unknown Regions. There, he lived out his life in solitude, in quiet contemplation of both the Force and the terrible destruction his family had wrought upon the galaxy.

Biography

6wRYdGu.jpg
Leviticus was born on Alderaan to Torrhen Thul-Drast and Betilla Organa. His father, a Sith aristocrat, named his son for one of the first Sith Lords and an alleged consort of his ancestor, Andraste. However, Betilla, whose marriage to Torrhen had been arranged for political purposes, was not a Sith supporter and feared for her son's future. While he was still an infant, she took him and surrendered him to a Jedi Master—one of the few left in the galaxy, hiding on Alderaan, as the House of Organa had always been secretly a friend of the Jedi Order, in order to protect her son from the Sith. It was agreed that his surname would officially be "Organa" to hide his Drast lineage from both himself and others.

In his early days, Levi proved to have a strong connection to the Force, worthy of his namesake. He excelled at his Jedi training, quickly ascended from a mere hopeful to a full-blown Jedi Padawan, and was well on his way to becoming a Knight. However, he also had a reckless streak. He was prone to recklessness and too easily gave into his emotions. He came to despise the Sith Empire and was not shy about showing it. These traits worried the Jedi Master who trained him, and it was feared that Levi's Drast-like traits would continue to manifest despite the Order's best efforts to keep his true identity hidden from him.

Of course, his identity could not be hidden forever. When he was still a young adult, he found a holo-recording from his mother, stashed with his Master's belongings. The recording was made shortly before Levi was to be given to the Jedi Order and, in it, his lineage was revealed when his mother expressed to him why she had to leave him with another. Her fate unknown, Levi became distressed that the people who had raised him had lied to him for many years. He despised his lineage and feared the shadow of the dark side that lingered over all Drasts, deciding that it was too dangerous for him to become a Jedi. He also came to resent the Jedi, both for lying to him and the Order in general, whom he viewed as partially responsible for the creation of the Drasts.

7ESjoPe.jpg
Bitter, the young man and Jedi Padawan left the Order behind and flew out into the Unknown Regions. After journeying to several worlds, he settled on a planet concealed within a nebula and strong in the Force, crashing his ship so that he could never leave. He then took the barash vow and lived as a hermit for many decades as penance for his family's crimes and in the hope that the power sleeping within him would never become what it was in his ancestors: used for darkness and evil. Unknown to him, however, the Force was not done with him yet, nor was his time as a Jedi over...

Personality & Traits

6EvXmtO.jpg
As a youth, Leviticus was idealistic to a fault and desired nothing more than the fall of the Sith Empire and the return to the joint rule of the Republic and the Jedi Order. He idealized the Republic and was short-sighted as to its flaws, same as the Jedi Order who once supported it. Often, this idealism made him impatient and reckless, prone to angry outbursts or even vengeance. But he was not entirely flawed. Levi was also compassionate and loyal, demonstrating unwavering faith in his friends and allies.

Levi was a studious individual. He devoured books, particularly enjoying those that were not recorded on holo-technology. He was also an ardent student of history, and was extensively knowledgeable in the known history of the Jedi Order, the Republic, and the Sith Empire. Even his exile did not change this, as he brought books along with him and devoured what Jedi lore he could get his hands on, hoping that it would help him to hold back the dark side of the Force and what he saw as his family's dark and destructive destiny.

After the revelation of his true lineage, Levi changed dramatically. His exile made him bitter and untrusting. His disdain for the Drast family grew substantially and, with it, a newfound loathing for the Jedi Order, whom he blamed for lying to him and for helping to create the Drasts and the Sith Order. He took a barash vow, swearing off involvement with the Order and swearing that he would never complete his Jedi training for fear of what that might mean. He willingly shut himself off from the Force, hoping that doing so would prevent him from sensing the events of the galaxy, which might tempt him into returning. Even so, deep down, he struggled with the guilt he felt over abandoning the Order.

Leviticus was a fifty-three year-old human male who stood at 1.7 meters and weighed approximately 73 kilograms. As a youth, he had brown hair, but as an older man, his hair, which now reached his shoulders, had long gone silver. He sported a wizardly beard, several scars earned during his years of exile, and hazel eyes.

Powers & Abilities

Gotuisf.jpg
As a descendant of the Drast family, Leviticus was born with a prodigious latent Force potential that manifested when he was still very young. Despite this, he has only received a Padawan-level education in how to use his power and remains at such a level even in his advanced age due to a lack of using the Force in his exile.

He also has training in the use of a lightsaber, which he continues to use in his exile, making his skills slightly sharper in that area. He wields a single-bladed weapon that bears a blue blade. Levi is a knowledgeable pilot, though his skills have grown rusty over the years, and is mostly skilled in speaking Galactic Basic, Huttese, and understanding Shyriiwook due to his Jedi education.

Due to his many decades of exile, he is a skilled survivalist, possessing the skillset necessary to survive long periods of time in the wilderness without technology. This includes the ability to hunt and track, which he carries over to hunting other targets when he eventually rejoins the rebellion.

What is going to happen in your plot?

Invigorated by freeing the Wookiee slaves over Nar Shaddaa, Greybok returns home to Kashyyyk. Though the Wookiee homeworld has no direct Sith presence, Trandoshan slavers frequently sell Wookiees to Imperial work camps in both the Old Empire and the Imperial Republica. With his authority as a general in the Galactic Alliance, Greybok leads the Wookiees in a war against the Trandoshan slavers that will culminate in Kashyyyk's freedom, the end of the Wookiee slave trade, and their joining the Galactic Alliance.

What other players will be a part of this?
@Malon and others—this will be a joint GA-Mandalorian mission pack, since the Mandalorians have a base on Kashyyyk.

Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?
Cosmatanic Steppes, Kashyyyk, and Trandosha.

Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.
1. [ASK] "Shall We Begin? — After contacting his contact within the Mandalorians, Daniel Solus, Greybok calls a war council at the Cosmatanic Steppes—a popular smuggler's haunt—to discuss launching an attack on the Trandoshans and ending their reign of terror on Kashyyyk. The objective of this war council is to secure Mandalorian and rebel support, as well as to identify the objectives of the upcoming battle.

2. [ASK/DICE] "I Am the Storm" — The Trandoshans use a long-crashed and unflyable Contemputous-class dungeon ship as a holding-pin for Wookiee slaves waiting to be shipped off-world to potential buyers. Our objective is to raid the crashed ship, which is located along the coast of Kashyyyk's northern continent, and disable its power generators, which would disable the force cages within and set the Wookiees there free.

3. [ASK/DICE or ASK/DM] "Jaws of the Viper" — The Trandoshan hunter-master is holed up on a private island in one of Kashyyyk's oceans. First, secure his private landing pad on the mainland, then steal a shuttle to the island and kill the hunter-master at all costs. The island is covered in jungles and he is surrounded by his best hunters, so be wary!

4. [ASK/DICE] "Kneel for No Man" — While the fighting begins on Kashyyyk, a team is dispatched to Trandosha to keep the Trandoshans busy and reinforcements away. Take a team of freighters and smuggle Kashyyykian webweaver spiders into a major spaceport on Trandosha. Once there, set them free. Their massacre will keep the Trandoshans busy and might even draw some of their hunters back from Kashyyyk.

5. [ASK/DICE] "The Watch Has Ended" — In the meantime, it is essential that the Imperials on either side of the civil war do not learn about the commotion on Kashyyyk. While the aftermaths of Corellia and the chaos in Imperial Hutta should keep them occupied, we need to make certain that they do not take advantage of the chaos here in the Kashyyyk system. Take slicing equipment to the main HoloNet tower on Kashyyyk and temporarily disable long-range communications outbound from this sector. We will reenable them when the fighting is over, and the Imps will be none-the-wiser of what has transpired here.

6. [ASK/DICE] "Hear Me Roar" — The Trandoshans have been fitting Wookiee slaves with inhibitor chips to torture any that refuse to obey their commands. The broadcasting station that controls these inhibitor chips is located in the Wookiee village of Rowrakruk. Blow up that station to render the inhibitor chips useless and to free the slaves in the surrounding prisons and work camps.

7. [ASK/DICE] "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken" — A full-scale battle between revolting Wookiee slaves and Trandoshan slavers has broken out along the beaches of the costal city of Kachirho. You are the cavalry. Go and reinforce the Wookiees in the Battle of Kachirho and ensure they win their freedom and their city.

8. [ASK/DICE] "I Choose Violence" — Some of the Trandoshan slavers have retreated to the Shadow Lands to regroup. They have set up camp not far from a dangerous nest of Kashyyykian webeweaver spiders. Give chase and destroy the Trandoshan camp, proving that there is no safe place on Kashyyyk for these slavers to hide.

9. [ASK/DICE] "Before the Old Gods" — The Tree of Life is scared to the Wookiees and to Life Day. But, in their desperation, a small force of Trandoshan slavers and mercenaries are threatening to to burn the tree down, along with the surrounding forest. Ensure that their plans fail and that they never seek to deface another sacred place on Kashyyyk.

10. [ASK/DICE] "Take Charge of Your Life" — The Royal City has not seated a Wookiee monarch in five hundred years. The Trandoshan chieftain and acting warlord of Kashyyyk holds the city, and its royal palace, like a prisoner-of-war. Today, the Royal City falls to us. Storm the city, storm the castle, and secure both; but leave the throne room and its occupant locked within. Our commanding officer has special plans for him.

11. [OPEN/DM] "First of His Name" — In the throne room, before Wookiees, Mandalorians, and rebels alike, Greybok will challenge the Trandoshan chieftain to single combat, one warrior to another, and only the strongest shall rule Kashyyyk.

What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?
Greybok will lead his people to freedom and, at the end, be chosen as the new king of Kashyyyk—the first since Trandoshan slavers destroyed the monarchy some five centuries ago. He will then serve as Kashyyyk's representative on the rebel council, in addition to his role as a general.

The Mandalorians would also be allowed to keep their base on Kashyyyk, would be allowed to freely walk and live in Wookiee cities, and Greybok would appoint one of their warriors as his royal advisor, allowing both the GA and the Mandos to make decisions regarding Kashyyyk's involvement in the wars to come. This would also obviously establish a lasting friendship between the Wookiees and the Mandalorians.

Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.
Nope. We should be able to self-DM these.
